It was a great experience with them.
First of all I was greeted by Richard and I asked if my 50mm lens can be fixed and he carefully inspected and told me honestly that it's done, no false hope, And there was no pressure to buy one of their lenses too.
I then proceeded to my main reason for visiting this store, to trade my 60d canon for one of the 5d used ones. Richard let me take my time on deciding and with trials for the camera too.
Ended up going home with a 5d mark 3 and a lens which was amazing.

Re: Passport Photo - I had Kerrisdale Camera in Coquitlam take my passport photo. Noteable is that the person that served me at the Sinclair Centre Passport office in Vancouver made the comment that Kerrisdale takes the best passport photos pictures by far.

My camera is really old, and I get that it’s really hard to find the battery charger for it. I phoned the store to see if they could get one in, and they promised me one from the warehouse. They told me wait a couple days and they’ll call me when it comes in. I wait a week and call back. They told me whoever I talked to previously never actually ordered it and that they’ll order it now. I was very understanding as I know this product is hard to find. They told me again to wait a couple days. Two weeks go by and I phone again today, and they told me they sold the charger to someone else. There are no more. They cannot order a new one either. If I wanted to wait three weeks, I would’ve ordered it online, but they assured me it would take a matter of days. My trip is tomorrow and I have nothing to charge my battery pack. Sincerely I really don’t like you guys: (

I picked up an older fx lens today (a person does need to invest in glass to improve a camera collection) and the lens is impeccable; really happy with the purchase.
I feel very welcomed each time I enter their place of business even it’s just to chat about what’s new in the camera world. The staff is always talkative and John is super fun when talking about the Nikon D700, The Legend (trust me there are a number of possessed folks over the D700; me included).

This place has been here for a very long time. It has served the community for many years. They have always been there for me when I needed help with my 25 mil camera. 3 generations of our family have been going here. Excellent staff and customer service.

Great, friendly service. Good selection of used equipment. I recently picked up a mint-condition lens that I’ve been drooling over for 10+ years. Nothing beats the ability to inspect it yourself and try it out on your own camera — something that eBay and other online marketplaces simply don’t offer. These small camera stores need our support if they’re going to survive.

I really enjoyed the perfect job they did. We went there to take a photo, after around 15 minutes the photos were ready. That was really better than lots of other stores photos like London drugs. Hey any camera store that still sells Polaroid film is one heck of a store. Not much of an instax fan those things are too tiny. I Visit this place everytime I'm in Vancouver to pick up the stuff. I bought my second ever Polaroid camera here, the One Step 2.

Took a beautiful photo in the Seymour watershed at work wanted to get it framed I couldn't find anywhere Kerrisdale enhance the photo brought to life from my phone and it made a wicked Christmas present for my mom look like you came from professional store which it did haha thanks Kerrisdale

We went in for passport pictures.they were ready in 5 minutes.this place always has excellent service.

Traded in an DSLR and purchased a waterproof camera. Did not feel my business was appreciated or valued as staff seemed indifferent and unenthusiastic. Staff did not offer to return lens filters or accessories that had no trade in value. I did not receive a a greeting nor any acknowledgement when I entered the store and I swear I saw a look of disdain or panic when I approached the counter. Funny how other Kerrisdale Camera locations have a much better vibe. I won't be going back to the Coquitlam Centre location
