This is one of the best camera stores to buy used camera equipment in Metro Vancouver. Used equipment comes with 60 days warranty except for consignment equipment. I was helped by Wilson who is friendly and helpful. This is my 2nd time to buy used equipment from this store. The store also sells brand new camera equipment, do film processing, and prints. What I dislike is lack of parking in Kerrisdale especially free parking. I would have given 5 stars if there’s ample parking available.

Great shop, but terrible lab.the scans were okayish, they mailed me back my negatives and there is a huge scratch running in the middle of the entire roll. None of my other films from my camera have the issue.

Judged by appearance, didn’t feel appreciated and valued as a customer, was going to purchase a lens over 2k. If I had been given a professional service I would have came back to pick up a new camera body just under 3k. I asked about compatibility between lens and camera body but the man behind the counter seemed rather disinterested and wasn’t able to answer my questions. Overall, took my business elsewhere.

These people know cameras. I’ve never met more welcoming, non judgmental, knowledgeable camera store employees. I’m a new photographer and I left with more knowledge about camera gear than any YouTube video I’ve watched. Thank you for the strap, and I’ll be coming back every time I’m in Vancouver.

Went to get a passport photo taken and to buy a replacement lens cap. The guy who helped me (Austin possibly) was friendly and professional, the prices seemed reasonable, and the photo is sharp and well lit!

Used lens prices can sometimes be lower or higher than eBay or Facebook marketplace so keep checking back for good deals. All used lens I bought from them have no issues, and they have trade-in so you can save some money, time and effort reselling your lens by trading with KC. Also lots of gear on the wall to test and try on. Brick & Mortar stores are hard to find but this is definitely a great camera store.

Only in Kerrisdale can one find something to purchase, and be forced to spend more than the sticker price. I went in with a gift card to purchase something, anything, and I picked a film developer kit. Price: $59.99, only when I went to the till it was $69.99. The best the employee could do was "give 10% off. " I only agreed because I didnt want to have to go back there.

Most businesses offer price matching with other stores, Kerrisdale Cameras won't even match their own!

I appreciate your response and offer to match the price, albeit after the fact. I do not live closen to Kerrisdale Cameras, and it was a trek for me to get there, so to return for a miniscule refund on a gift card isn't worth my time. I just hope all your staff are better prepared to successfully deal with such issues in the future. I'll add a star to reflect your response here.

DO NOT GO THERE TO DEVELOP YOUR FILM! Would give no star if possible. I took my film to get developed, at first the staff took out my film roll in the bright lit store and examined it. This led to a part of my roll that’s not in the canister to be exposed to light. Later when I received my digital scans, all my images turned into a sepia colour when it was a colour negative film (the results should’ve been colourful) and many parts of my film has been exposed to light and no longer visible.

I have stored my film properly so the colour should not end up like that. Pretty sure they messed up the development process and used the wrong chemical or something.

Shout out to Kerrisdale Cameras for selling me the best priced used Canon EG-E1 (red) in all of North America! Trust me, I looked. Got the unit at a great price obviously and the shipping time and packaging was pretty decent from coast-to-coast across Canada! Only thing I might suggest is that they should try implementing some photos for their used items so it's less of a gamble, however, I lucked out and I'm very satisfied. Thanks again!

Never bought a camera before so i was nervous coming in but Desmond was great and i felt like he went above and beyond to help me find everything i needed. The staff here are really friendly and helpful.

I brought my film in to get developed and when I returned to pick it up I was given film that belonged to someone else. Not only was the staff unhelpful in finding my roll of film they also promised they’d get back to me with updates and I’ve heard nothing for weeks. They lost an entire roll of memories I’ll never get back and don’t even have the decency to call and try and fix the situation.

Kerrisdale Cameras is the best! Staff member Wayne went over the top to ensure I had a great experience by helping me with several problems I was having with my camera. Very personable staff and always great quality images when developing my film:)

Very cheap price for photo prints. Good quality. They have an online site to upload photos and can deliver home for $5.99. That's super convenient. Photos come a bit darker than visible on screen, please brighten the photos in a photo editor before sending them for printing.
