I went there to take passport photos. After that, I wanted to print a different passport photo that I had used for my online visa application. I thought it might come in handy if they asked for it during my visa interview. But guess what? Things went totally crazy after that.

I handed over my flash drive containing the passport photo that I wanted to print out. The guy who took the passport photo for me accidentally opened the wrong photo and was like, "Oh, man! This is BAD! " The shadow in the background wouldn't pass the quality check. I was like, "Yeah, but that's not the photo I want to print. Can you please go to the subfolder and find the right one? " Then I showed him the right photo, but for some weird reason, he couldn't open it with the app he was using. And get this, he kept staring at the wrong photo and saying, "This is so bad! It won't pass! " I'm like, "Dude, that's not the one I want to print! "

So, this guy and I had the same conversation like a million times. I finally asked him if I could just use the computer to open the right thing. But he said: "Yes, I do mind. " Then I asked him to reopen the application, but he didn't do it and kept saying the photo was bad. I tried to tell him he wasn't opening the right one, but he was like, "Okay, let me do it myself. " Then he started searching through my folder for the photo. He found my resume and was like, "Oh, is this your resume? " I was rolling my eyes in my mind - it's none of your business!

In the end, he just couldn't open the right photo and kept saying the wrong photo he opened was BAD, and asked what’s wrong with the passport photo he just took. I explained again, the photo I was trying to print out was on my online application, and I wanted to print it out just in case. I left without printing out my photo because I didn’t want to waste my entire afternoon telling him that he opened the wrong photo, and I felt like he was giving me a hard time on purpose.

To be fair, the passport photo service is ok, two hard copies with timestamp on the back for $15 before tax. But if you want to print out your own passport photo, GOOD LUCK.

My camera was broken and I didn’t know where to go! They sent me to Camtex Camera and they fixed my camera right up! Thanks for the recommendation!

Very helpful staff and a 10 percent discount for students like me! My film photos look excellent and beautiful. They also sell everything you need including film stocks, lenses, camera bodies, etc.

Went for visa photos. Pleased with result with only 15 minutes wait. Much cheaper than place in crystal mall. And faster too as they did them right away

I have been a long-time customer of Kerrisdale Cameras in both the Main store and Burnaby locations. Krista at the Main Store is the best, full stop. Mark and his team in Burnaby are exceptional and I have always felt they value me as a customer no matter the size of the purchase. I refer to them as the "Mighty Burnaby Kerrisdale Cameras" they may be a small location but they are mighty in customer service. Shiraz is my go-to, he is always on top of things and is knowledgeable and helpful. I think it is safe to say Kerrisdale Cameras has the best customer service on the Lower Mainland. Give them a try, both used and new.

Just purchased my new EOS Canon R6 with 24mm-105mm F4 L lens. Two gentleman that worked there are such nice and knowledgeable product specialists. I walked in wanting to test the camera and walked out with camera in my hand. They made sure I tested the camera with the exact lens I wanted to purchase and I felt no sales pressure. I came here for some assistance with my film camera. Jeff was super friendly, knowledge and helpful, he fixed the issue on the spot with no pre-requirement to purchase parts or service first like bestbuy and Henry's. He was so helpful to my boyfriend and I that we ended up finding things that we didn't know we wanted and purchased right away.

Definately will come back here over Henry's for future DSLR / mirorless digital cameras and film camera needs! They also have great price for developing 35mm film rolls!

I bought a new camera from Kerrisdale Camera in Burnaby last week and I could not have been any happier with the service. The staff there, in particular a fellow named Jeff, were extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to track down the camera I wanted to buy and get it into their store. All of the staff were extremely knowledgable, and their passion for photography was clearly evident. This will definitely be my go to photography store from now on. Kerrisdale Cameras is the epitome of Customer service. Most companies could learn how to do customer service from this company. A family run company since the early 60's their focus on customers is unequalled! I bought my first camera from them in 1978 and still shop there. They are the used equipment authorities with tons of choices and unbeatable prices. Highly recommended.

I came in to the store with a very distracting mark on every photo I took. Even though my camera's settings are confusing, Mark was so committed to helping me out. He did some research online, even made a phone call, and was able to open up my camera and completely clear the mark from my sensor. I expected to have to pay big money and send my camera away for days to be repaired, but Mark solved the problem on the same day free of charge! I will definitely be coming here to buy my gear from now on and will be recommending this store to all my friends. THANK YOU <3

Just went in with an item in mind that I found online, and saw that there was a sale price! "Shiraz" attempted several times to assert a different price, despite my correcting him twice. I was totally surprised, and I feel bad for the customer who comes in and doesn't realize the item is on sale. He briefly mumbled something about "the sku changed", which I could see was not the case (I literally showed him the item and SKU on the open browser tab I had left on my phone). Totally bizarre and disappointing experience, the dozen other times I have been here I would rate it 5/5

The service I received from the guys at Kerrisdale Cameras was exceptional! After the first camera I got was defective, they were incredibly proactive in getting me in a new one quickly from another store! I'm looking forward to purchasing other camera related accessories from them. 100x better interaction compared to big box stores!

Went into Kerrisdale Camera today to pick up a paper background roll. I was so impressed with the customer service I received today. Mark was so warm and welcoming. The Burnaby location staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I frequently drop off my 35mm and 120mm film for development. Staff have given inspiration to some film and shooting experiments. Nothing negative to say.

I always get my film developed here because you can get a roll with processing and scanning included for about $16. Mark is awesome and super knowledgeable and always makes my day, I love how much this store seems to nurture the photography passion in every customer without exception. There is also a great selection of accessories at reasonable prices. These guys are the best! Thank you for helping me with my film photography hobby:)

Went in a few weeks ago with an issue with my old Olympus and the staff was nothing but kind to me:). They managed to show me my faults that was causing the malfunction of the camera and save my roll of film! Would highly recommend the visit!

Came in for passport photos. I was expecting to wait for 2 hrs (which seems to be a standard time at other locations), then I was pleasantly surprised that my photos were ready in under 30 mins! The staff were very friendly and got a great sense of humour too. This is gonna be my new default spot when I need photos for travel documents.

I bought a film camera and went into the store just to buy some film. Mark was so helpful and loaded my camera with batteries, taught me how to use the new camera that I just bought and even gave me a student discount.
