Kevin Pendergast Piano Studio

Kevin has been teaching my son classical piano for four years. He has learned a lot and has been successful in his examinations since studying with him. Kevin has a fun, energetic style of teaching but is serious in his technical and musical abilities which makes him an excellent and versatile teacher.

My 6 year old daughter started taking lessons from Kevin just a few months ago and I am thoroughly impressed with how quickly she has picked it up! Kevin's creative teaching style, along with his encouragement and patience with her, has made it a positive learning experience.

My 8 year old started piano lessons with Kevin about 5 months ago and she has made great progress. Kevin is encouraging and patient. My daughter is always excited to go to class every week, she enjoys Kevin's way of teaching, it is fun and a lot to learn! I would highly recommend Kevin as anyone's piano teacher.

My son and daughter take piano lessons here. Kevin is a great teacher. He’s patient and my children really like his teaching style. My son has also learned to appreciate music and the composition in general because of Kevin.

My 6 year old daughter has been working with Kevin for the past 5 months and she has so progressed nicely. He’s encouraging and patient with her. I appreciate that he gives timely feedback and is enthusiastic.
I think she is developing a well rounded understanding of playing the piano and learning theory, note reading and using her listening to play back what she has heard. I love that I can sit in the lesson and watch. It takes so much focus and I can see she can be restless but Kevin does a good job of keeping her on track even if it’s for 30 mins.
It helps that she gets a little sticker at the end of each class, and homework page for what she needs to practice for the week.

Highly recommend! As an adult learner, I thought it would be very challenging to get into music at a later age, but Kevin has made the experience both fun and engaging.

We've been seeing Kevin for piano for weeks now and he is both an admirable and reputable instructor. My young daughter is taken not only by his strength as a musician, but equally by his ability to make learning digestible, relatable, and such fun. He teaches with ease, is disarming and kind - all enabling his students to gain confidence in their skills quickly. On our way to lessons the other day, my daughter shared "I can't wait for piano"! My daughter had guitar and singing lessons with Kevin for 10 years and she has learned a lot about herself musically and artistcally thanks to his tutelage. They had fun recording and accompanying herself singing.there was something to look forward to every week!
