The receptionist was very rude, didn't reply email and gave wrong information. I had to wait for two hours to make an appointment and they hung up the phone.

So everyone is aware of the healthcare crisis plaguing most of Canada, and I'm sure if somebody has a GP, this place is convenient and adequate, given the location. For the vast majority, however, this is obviously not the case. The front desk staff needs to be remedied immediately. Communication is woeful at best, awkward at worst, tedious, and borderline pointless. Fortunately, I no longer reside in BC. Make no mistake; my last encounter will never be forgotten. Sort it out! People's lives are quite literally in your hands!

Would not recommend unfortunately. Paid $85 for a five minute prescription refill appointment where the doctor didn't appear to have knowledge of either of the two common medications and so had to phone me back to ask more questions. Then the prescription did not appear at the pharmacy, I had to phone them three times to follow up and eventually take a verbal prescription.
Seems like an awfully difficult process for a very simple task and I've now wasted two hours of my day trying to chase this prescription.

I love the reception and my doctor here. Really appreciate them. Been coming for years; the email and phone communication is also very helpful. They are problem-solvers and I appreciate that.

They refuse to let you see a doctor unless you line up on the street before 8am, yet their website says none of this, nor does their phone message that tells they won't give out wait time info on the phone. They are a walk in clinic that does not accept walk ins. I counted 5 people standing around at the reception desk with a big sign NO WALK INS. No idea what you need 5 people to do if you are refusing everyone who walks in. Maybe one could update the website?

No one answered my phone calls, and my online appt booking was completely ignored. This happened the last two times I tried seeing a doctor there. I give up with this place. What a sad state of affairs our medical system is in.

The receptionist is not helpful not is their system of booking appointments. Waiting in line outside for a potential appointment each morning is demeaning.

We had a family doctor here but when she retired we weren’t given a new one. You can only book an appointment if you arrive in person at 8.00AM or sometimes when you call at 8.30AM. Walk-in doctors are generally helpful, especially Dr. Ned is one of a kind.

This place needs to get a better system. Looked at there website and says you can book a Telehealth appointment (phone appointment) yet the online booking doesn’t work which the receptionist also clarified.

Called at 9am when they opened and the receptionist said I have to wait outside and line up at 8am to get an appointment…yes you have to wait outside the clinic to book a phone appointment!?

Or you can call at 8: 30am to try and book an appointment if they actually answer the phone (as they don’t open until 9) if the lineup people don’t take the appointments…

It’s unfortunate that it is so hard to simply see a doctor in this city.

How do you even get hold of the calling lines, the receptionist’s says hello and just puts you on hold directly i have been trying now hours to reach out to these guys. Very poor service

Before writing my own post, I read through several, of the posts on the website, and was astounded to read so many negative ones, as my recent experience was 100% favourable. In early December I took up temporary residence in Kitsilano without a family doctor, and needed a prescription refilled. I walked into the clinic off the street, was greeted by a perfectly efficient receptionist who took note of my details, and told me to expect a call from a doctor in the afternoon. Dr. Lee called me at precisely the time I expected, and issued the prescription right away. He asked me where I wanted to pick up the prescription which would be available the following day and told me to expect a call when it was ready. I did receive a call the following day as promised and was able to pick up my pills in good time. I will have absolutely no hesitation about contacting this clinic if I need any further medical assistance. Thank you.

I was very happy with the service. The receptionists are super friendly and helpful: they always responded to my emails quickly and were very helpful over the phone and in person. For walk-in appointment I arrived at 7: 50 and they managed to get me a telephone appointment at 9: 30 - so arrive early to get an appointment for the day. The doctor who called me for the telephone appointment was very attentive and kind. He made me feel taken care of.

Save yourself some time and try to go to another clinic, receptionist are rude you will probably wait 1 hour, if you are the first one in line, then they will try to get you a phone consultation, there's no real doctor and if you insist they will give you an appointment for 2 or 3 hours later, this women are rude I saw them mistreat a poor old lady that waited forever and they refuse to give her an appointment. It was just sad

This place is pure trash. Nobody answers the phone and you can't walk in to this "walk in clinic". There is no way to book an appointment to see a doctor online either. It's a real shining example of how poor the healthcare system in this country is. Just pure trash. Shut it down you guys are awful at your jobs.

Our family doctor is great, getting an appointment with her is almost impossible though. You have to somehow get a hold of the receptionist. Calling is out. Either you call at 8: 30am and the line says they are closed, but open at 8am, or call later and no one answers, or you send an email. I've sent one before and got a call while at work without pen and paper, they said they'd email me the appointment time, never got it. Maybe reply wasn't an option. Had to do it manually. Even though they got my email wrong before, I guess lessons are hard to learn. Another time I didn't get a response at all. If I could register for an appointment with relative ease, I'd give this place 5 stars. The weird thing is, every time I go in, there's either no one else there or maybe one person. It's not like they're swamped. I don't get it, but having issues calling today, again, has finally prompted me to leave a review.

I went at 7: 40am on Monday and got an appointment with Dr. Nedd. The receptionist was very kind and patient with me and everyone else waiting. My appointment was a 11: 15am on the same day and Dr. Nedd was very punctual (shortest wait I've ever had in BC). He listened to my concerns patiently, was respectful and professional. I will be using Khatsahlano as my go-to clinic from now on.

Rude and unhelpful receptionist. The manager should ring the main line to see how she talks to people.

Really poorly run clinic, zero communication between reception and the doctors. Doctors are always late for phone appointments and then have a rubbish attitude towards you when they finally call. This whole phone appointments system is a big scam, the doctors get paid per "visit" and they rush you off the phone as quickly as possible so they can get as many calls done in the day.

They really need to hire a new receptionist that actually does something in the office. Ongoing issue for months on end now. Everytime I need to call to make an appointment or refill a prescription i have to deal with painful 20 min holds for no reason or no answer at all. Even tho the office isn't busy and there is no one in the lobby. The lady is incompetent and isn't doing a proper job it seems. It's a shame it's a great office but such a terrible lazy and rude receptionist. There's many other reviews saying the same thing. They should start listening and caring about their patients and communication. Will be following up with the Owner/Manager about this matter because it's a constant issue and advise others to do the same.

A really nice clinic! Was able to book a walk-in and see a doctor the same day. Reception was polite and Dr. Lisa Roberts was great!

I’d give 0 stars if I could. I called and made an appointment to speak with a doctor, they said the next day at 4: 50 id receive a call, give or take a little bit in case the doctor was running late. I waited until 6 pm, got no calls, I tried calling back several times and none of my calls were picked up or followed up on

The entire reception and the communication experience here is awful. Everyone who works there seems nice, but everything is always unorganized, crazy long waits, and every visit I’ve made, there is a communication error. It’s unfortunate because it poorly reflects on the doctors who work here. If you can avoid this place, I’d highly recommend finding an alternative.

Communication with the clinic is the worst. You gotta spend the whole day trying to call them in order to schedule an appointment. They often forget to send prescription renewals to the drugstores as well. I've been having the same issues since my doctor moved to this clinic.

Dr. Yip is a great doctor. But the receptionists there never picks up the phone. So hard to get an appointment with my doctor. They need to train their staff

The receptionist on the morning of oct 28th was insanely rude to me and another patient.upon hearing my ailment the other patient offered me their spot in the queue so i could be seen earlier.the receptionist told the elderly women that was trying to be kind to me to “but out and wait her turn”. She literally said “butt out”. She didn’t suggest that it was a kind offer but she needed to follow guidelines, which would have been a normal response.then after that, she was passive aggressive to every question i asked.this woman should not be your businesses first point of contact for patients.it reflects poorly on your the clinic.

The doctors are great. The receptionist lady was horrible like all the other reviews (there’s a lot) she was rude, no empty and cold. She made me cry and made me have an anxiety attack and told me that’s my decision. Rarely I ever write a review but this was completely unacceptable. I thought in the medical field you want to help people not worry and upset them and sound like that’s your motive. Completely heartless. It’s scary how it did not effect her at all that she made me cry and was in tears all day she could care less.

I haven attended this clinic for a long time and it has been always a very poor service. The receptionist is so no nice and more than once when I have had a test appointment the doctor has been late for about 20 min. I really need to find a new clinic

If I could give them a -1 I would! THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. I stood outside watching, called them and it went straight to "please hold". OMG do not bother with these people who cannot even do their job.

Wanted to visit the clinic and get an in-person cheque. The receptionist insisted that the first appointment had to be done by the phone. Had the phone call and shared all my symptoms with the doctor. She said to call back in one week to see if my symptoms have worsened. I insisted to share photos with her, to which she responded "that's okay, we can go over that next week".

Two days later. I'm at the hospital getting a minor surgery, for something that the surgeon said that if treated a couple days ago, some antibiotics would do the trick.

I have had a few experiences in person at this office. I’d rate them as a 4/5. However, for booking appointments via email for a phone consultation with my family doctor, it has been extremely easy and quick turnaround from staff. A 5/5. I’d recommend this clinic based on my experiences.

Terrible desk service. Smug and rude and very happy to not do their jobs or try to help out at all and blame a pandemic that is now ending.

I don’t know why the reviews are so low! This place was fantastic! I am American and they took me in with a day notice. I waited no more than 5 minutes to be seen by a Doctor. The doctor was amazing. Compassionate, intelligent and so helpful. She helped me with all of my needs.

I don’t understand why the reviews are so low. I’ve always had a great experience here. First, Dr.yang is the best family doctor ever. I moved to Surrey but I drive all the way to the clinic to see Dr. Yang. She’s super caring and attentive! Me and my husband are her patients for a couple of years now and she also cares for our newborn baby as well. I totally recommend her!

Also the receptionists Mara and Jocy are great as well. They always reply my emails so quickly and book my appointments fast!

I highly recommend this clinic and Dr Yang as well.

THEY GIVE OUT STRANGERS MEDICAL RECORDS! BEWARE!

I want to preface this by saying that Dr. Govender is incredible and a super helpful human; unfortunately the office/admin staff are incredibly unprofessional and it has negatively impacted my health and quality of care. I have been waiting for months on referrals and paperwork to be sent to the appropriate specialists to get major surgery and found out today that they never sent half of all the paperwork. After 2 calls trying to get them to send my records to the specialist and getting the same dismissive response (telling me that the specialist somehow should have known they didn't get all the records/information and followed up themselves-which is outrageous) so I finally asked for a copy of my records so that I could deliver them myself. In their haste to get me to leave the office they gave me ANOTHER PATIENTS' records complete with sensitive personal information. They had NO IDEA that they had even given them to me and ultimately blamed me for asking for my own records to rationalize inappropriately sharing patients private medical records. Unbelievable experience-I hope other patients can avoid this nonsense.

I was set to have an appointment over the phone that was supposed to be between 12: 30 and 1: 30 today. At 2: 30 I had still not received a call, so I emailed and got a phone call from the receptionist saying that my phone number in their system wasn’t correct even though I had provided my phone number with my care card in the email to make an appointment. And clearly they has my number because I was called back at it! Anyways, the receptionist told me to just hold on a little longer, so I did. It’s now nearly 4PM and I’ve tried calling the office and no one is answering the phone and I just sent an email trying to find out what’s going on. I’ve been waiting by my phone for 3.5 hours for this call, and can’t do anything because I’m worried I’m going to miss it.

I won’t bother with this clinic in the future. Don’t waste your time as I did.

I would give 0 star to this clinic. I am calling from 3 days again and again and wasting my precious time but they have no time to pick any call of their patients. Its not any grocery store where we can go other place when needed. First and last treatment from you.

Since moving back to van I have punctured my hand about an inch deep with a coat hanger, needed 7 stitches in the same hand (different injury), and broken my ankle. I have gone to this clinic and got nothing but fast and thorough help. Place is clean and inviting as well.

Dr. Cinarli and the receptionist, Juan have been very helpful and kind to me during this difficult time. I really appreciate their manners and patience. Thank you.

Fast and helpful. Went to this clinic 2-3 times when living in the area, and each time, the doctors here were friendly and patient.

I never leave reviews, but I literally couldn't believe how rude the receptionist was.

She was harsh and impatient with me, told a woman from China trying to help her son to "go somewhere else" and "figure it out", and then screamed at someone on the phone all in the 10 minutes I was there.

I would not recommend.

Really disappointing. Came to the clinic for an appointment late in the evening, nobody was in the clinc, or in line, was shoved into a room for 45 minutes, could hear docs laughing but nobody came to the room. I left. Awful.

This is the first, and only, review I've felt compelled to write. Receptionist wanted me to do her job for her, and chase paperwork from various offices. She didn't call me to inform me that she'd cancelled my doctor's appt, without telling me. I only found out after I waited 75 min.for the doctor to call. Abysmal service.

The front desk receptionist is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She hung up on me when I was in mid sentence on the phone inquiring about medical information. When I called back and asked her to please not hang up on me and that I was not finished speaking to her she said that she was disconnected. I told her that we were not disconnected because she had interrupted me and said “thank you very much good bye” just before she hung up. I said that I don’t appreciate being treated like that and that it was unprofessional. She said “mam your being rude” and hung up on me again. This woman is always rude when I have visited or called the clinic. She speaks very loudly at the front desk in the small waiting area about confidential information audible to all. She has no concept of professionalism. She is unbelievably impatient, rude, Apathetic and unhelpful. This is not someone you want working in your community Health care clinic.

Called back in for lab results. Was told to come in the next day which was a Saturday. Came in at 1030 and was told they are full. I don’t live close and at no point did the receptionist on the phone tell me I had to come in at opening. Not the first time I’ve been burned like this from this clinic. Very disappointing.

Rude attendants. My family doctor moved to this clinic and apparently I’m not showing up in the system as their patient anymore (an error of some kind). The receptionist simply gave me a “there’s nothing I can do, it’s not our problem” answer. Horrible way to treat patients. Not recommended.

I got there early in the morning to see a doctor. The receptionist was rude and abrupt. She told me that I would have to wait 5hrs. She practically yelled at me when she gave me the information. Very very rude. I will never go there again!

In website informing that Saturday is open at 9 am. I was there there times but nobody show up and they didn’t inform that closed. They wasted alit if people time.

The one receptionist I spoke with waas absolutely rude and could not seem less interested in her job. I was quoted 45 minutes which was fine I said I would go for a walk and then come back. After I returne I was ushered into a doctor office and then waited another 45 minutes! Just tell me an hour and a half and I'll come back but don't make me wait in a room for 45 minutes.

When the doctor did finally arrive she was so rushed she barele looked at anything and now it's been over a month and I am still not better. I will be going to another clinic instead. The worst.

I've been to clinic a few times. Waiting times were no more than 10 minutes and the doctors were excellent!

Not impressed just by the phone call I had with receptionist. Asking for help and information about clinic/if they give certain vaccinations and she just says no; she cannot further assist me. And then proceeds to tell me that they can't help me because I am 26. (?)

Excellent care, both thorough and efficient. Have a regular doctor but choose the clinic as it is far more convenient.

Doctors are nice but waiting system is ridiculous. I arrived on time for my appointment and still waited for an hour. The person with a later appointment got in before I did and I was told because they have ”different lists”.

What is happening with our medical system in Vancouver? Horrible service. I waited for 3 hours, doctor saw me for 2 min and sent me home to research online and didn't even wrote it down her suggestion. Didn't gave me a pregnancy test or nothing. So unprofessional that I am going back there tomorrow to give them a piece of my mind.

Short waiting time at noon on Friday and Dr. Goldberg was one of the kindest and most helpful doctors I'd met!

Was in and out exactly at time of appointment with issue effectively addressed. And this on a Sunday!

You have to be pretty abhorrent to antagonize someone like me into writing an angry review like this. This is my first time complaining openly about anything.

Do not expect any compassion from the desk staff. You better be ready to fight for a chance to see any doctor here.
Everytime I call to book an appointment they immediately tell me "no" without even asking if I have a family doctor there, which I do. They speak over you, they interrupt you in the middle of asking questions and sigh impatiently every time you have a legitimate inquiry. I am tired of being snapped at over the phone by these people. Everytime I get off the phone with this clinic I start crying. I have an extremely painful and incurable illness and the last thing I need is to listen to some grouchy desk staffer angrily booking my appointments, which I too am tired of making. If my family doctor weren't situated here I wouldn't be coming back at all.
Worst receptionists ever. They clearly hate their jobs and the past reviews also reflect this.
