OMG! This is the place with restrictions (of course with limits) owner the people always Dream for.
Love the place.
Bonus was the aurora.
The view is incredible.
Love it.
Looking forward next year too.

Great funky ambiance. Bring earplugs if train horns bother you, otherwise it’s a very scenic spot to spend the night.

Beautiful resort. The road is just fine. The noise from the trains is mentioned up front.but it's worse than stated. The campsite is passable, nothing fancy. The kids working there are nice enough. However, customer service is just that - a service. The owner of this property seems to think his railway track campsite is something special. It is not. He is not. Look at these reviews before making a decision. Spend your money where they appreciate your business.

DON'T BE PUT OFF BY THE DRIVE DOWN. What a great find. Virtually welcomed with open arms. Sat for hours watching the humming birds.
I would suggest to take earplugs for the night, you'll know what I mean if you stay there.

Unfortunately, the lake is currently without water. With water the campsite must be a dream.
The washrooms are clean, but everything is a bit old

Was driving by and wanted to check the campground out because I was looking for a campsite for the following weekend. I pulled in to do a quick lap of the site and as I was going to exit I noticed a staff person had blocked the exit with the car. I sat for a couple minutes and when he came out instead of moving the vehicle he came up to my window visibly irritated asking me if I had seen the signs. I had seen some unclear signs but the realization that this man had physically blocked me from exiting the facility so that he could reprimand me made me very flustered and it difficult for me to explain what I was trying to do. After a minute or two of aggressive back and forth I finally acknowledged that this was not a campground I wanted to stay at- he responded that they didn’t want me there.

It is the middle of August on a weekend and the campground was maybe 25-30% full. You’d think they would want my business.

This is a unique and special place. I spent several months traveling the Rockies and Vancouver Island in my van and something about this spot really hit the mark. I think because it’s kind of a hidden gem, quiet and on it’s own glacier lake. You can literally have the entire lake to yourself for a morning paddle. It’s rustic, and you will have to get used to the frequent trains passing, but I didn’t mind because it gave it the true western feel.

Beautiful resort on a magnificent river/lake. Be sure to bring SUP/kayaks! Kind and attentive owner. Lovely little cabins - the “Rogers” cabin has an incredible view of the lake. We will be back!

Visited this amazing place a couple years ago and loved it. Dreaming of going back. Heading that way this summer. Breathtaking views. Massively long seasonal lake with some of the most beautiful water you see out there!

We’ve been about 7-8 times now and it’s always been awesome!

With the train I wouldn’t recommend it for those who get bent out of shape from missing a few minutes of sleep. But otherwise I have nothing but good things to say about the beauty of the location, the prices, the upkeep, and the people that run it.

Wife and I stayed there several years ago. Really enjoyed it. Nice and quiet, barely heard the train. Only bad things at that time was the steep grade getting to it so make sure your brakes are working and poor wiring hookups. I’ll will return if the fires are out next summer

Beautiful location. Good fishing but no dock so have to tie off boat to shore or anchor which made it tricky getting people on and off. Conditions change quick on the lake, esp for my kayak!
I could semi ignore the train sounds but others in our group it really bothered!
Cold showers were "refreshing"! 1 out of 3 was warm. Certainly not perfect but location out weighed the negatives for me! I will return.

An absolute gorgeous camp ground! The guy who runs it is super friendly. The views and river blew us away! Had an amazing time and the RV lots are well spaced out.

Real classy douche, Stanley cups do not equal quality, eh!

Originally booked 3 nights but had to get extra nights, me and the family absolutely loved the campground and looking forward to camping here again.

Unfortunately my experience with this resort wasn’t good. Due to some personal circumstances I had to cancel our reservation. I followed there cancellation policy by sending an email 10 days before arrival (policy only requires 8 days). This was in order to get a full refund. After a few days I received no responses. So I followed up with another 2 emails and a few voicemails. Still no response. I sent another email and called another time. The lack of communication continued for over 2 weeks from my original email to inform them of my cancellation. Took tooth and nail to finally get them to send a refund back 18 days later. If that’s not poor customer service I don’t know what is. A very frustrating experience. That and reading other reviews about loud noises make me glad I didn’t stay here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Nice and quiet the staff are great. It was nice having flush toilet the only downer is the covid stuff couldn't have the showers open. Fire wood was a little high in price.

This is a hidden gem. The resort has access to a beautiful turquoise lake; we rented a canoe, and as we paddled through the stream that feeds the lake, we were surprised to see a beautiful waterfall. We didn't camp, but would definitely stay there the next time we visit the Rockies.

Really nice place to camp. Friendly staff that make your experience there feel amazing, they have boat rentals firewood for sale and clean bathrooms. I would recommend this place to stay if your looking for a good family vacation

I called on thursday and inquired about 2 cabins for 2 nights.said it was available.i sent in a request in 20 minutes.no response i called the next day left a message still no response.send another message no response. Wow
i guess they dont want people staying there anymore!

Just spent 6 days here with my kids in site 51. Let me say first, yeah there is a train nearby and it runs day and night. After the first night, we didn't care, it's not that big of a deal. Now, this was our first time here, and it was unbelievable. The view is incredible. Our site was amazing, and although you are close to your neighbours, your site is big and roomy and we had our own path to the beach. The staff here were fantastic. I'd like to thank Dimitri, Lauren, and Matteo (I hope I spelled these all right). They were so friendly and welcoming. They gave us great advice on places to visit, things to do, and what to see. This resort has absolutely made a customer for life and I will guarantee that we will be back next year.

AmaZing staff! Amazing views! We came across this gem of a campground by chance as we drove by on Aug long weekend! Highly recommended.

Staff was amazing and, very polite And helpful. Lorie is nicest person in this resort.
Washrooms was very clean, every 2 hours.

We had a great experience. Our campsite had the best view looking south toward the Columbia River!

Loved this campground. It was very quiet for the most part and secluded. Great amenities, very friendly staff and good showers. Very close access to the lake. Definitely reccomend.

I have been there just for an hour so i don't know about the quality of tents and units but the view is stunning

Beautiful place with great, friendly staff. The location was fantastic. We had a blast out at the lake. The train wasnt that bad like everyone is saying, in fact, I kind of enjoyed the sounds from them, but our cabin had rats in the walls and ceiling that stomp and scurry very loudly that kept us all up at night. Would probably recommend tenting it. There are some real great views from a lot of sites.

The train runs within 100 feet of the campground, very noisy but you get used to it. The scenery is breath taking, beautiful reservoir lake.

Beautiful views, a lot of trees that give privacy between sites, a great family campground! Clean facilities and very friendly staff!

Beautifully nested in a valley.
Beware of the very loud train which passed by 19 times in one day.
It kept most of us awake.
Sites very close together as well.

The staff was nice but we had a party of 20 and were told to be quiet when there was just alot of us and voices travel. The place is beautiful but we had the train right by our tent and it was like it was in the there. I could not sleep for the first 2 nights. But the place is beautiful. Staff were nice except for the noise complaint. Please are camping and drinking it's going to be loud but at 10: 00pm we should not have to be quiet. Curfew should be changed to 11 atlest. Before you tell us to be quiet

We had a site with an amazing view that is right above a beach. Our site felt private, well located, and we had lots to do. We swam in the lake, went fishing, lots of walks, and enjoyed ourselves greatly. Bathrooms all had flush toilets and were clean, showers were hot (and free), firewood was reasonably priced compared to many other campgrounds, there are canoe rentals available, staff were very friendly, etc. The train is loud for sure, but it didn't ruin our trip in any way, and we will for sure be coming back.

We came very late - after 9pm, but we have been offered very beautiful spot by lake. Staff was extemely helpful and nice. All this for very reasonable price.

When you book for a reservation and they ask you if your going to bring a boat, you figure there will be water on the lake. The owner did not tell us that there is no water on the lake. We drove 9 hours to get there with my boat and family. At least the owner can e mail his customer about the lake. Will never go there again.

Beautiful location, quality facilities, friendly staff, spacious campsite with a view. Very glad we stopped by.

We didn't actually stay here but had but had gone to check it out for next time. Power and water hookups, great views, no mosquitoes and incredibly amazing staff is enough for us to book a spot later in the year and come back with kids.

If you’re coming to sleep, bring earplugs! The train is very close to the sites and woke us up many times in the night. The website mentions the train but inaccurately represents the noise level. Even with earplugs we were woken and our beds were rumbling. The sites were also fairly close together for a campground so far out.
On the other hand, the location on the lake is beautiful and the bathroom amenities were clean and new.
The site could do with some more bearproofing as the garbage cans were not sealed well and that was a bit unnerving.
Overall, if you’re aware of the noise level and come prepared, the campground is beautiful and enjoyable.

Beautiful but noisy. This is a very pretty location. There is, however, a train track very close, so not distant romantic sounds of trains, but rather like they are inside the tent! There were also logging trucks running past. I don't think we will stay there again. Also the staff are very nice and helpful.

This was is a VERY tricky place to rate. The people that run it are so friendly and helpful. Pretty sure they never stop. The beach is awesome my kids LOVED it, bathrooms were very clean. BUT.wood pricey, ice pricey and the train WOW was bad. Kids (3ans 5) woke up nightly as it goes every hr and LOUD. Just wish I could pick it up and move it away from the train lol. Won’t go back for that reason

This resort is an absolute gem! From the time you check in, from the time you check out. The staff at the resort are the most friendly, hard working and dedicated individuals you will ever encounter. The bathrooms are never dirty nor the garbage cans full. Showers are hot, firewood plentiful and the site is quiet. Thank you, to Rick and the Staff at Kinbasket Lake.
