Must go place, addresses with extreme attention and plenty of street parking right in front of the store. Definitely recommend barber in the neighbourhood. Prices are reasonable ($25 for men’s hair cut).

Six stars. One of the top 5 barber shops in Lower Mainland. I'm not quite picky about my hair and like to try new places each time to have a different feel.
This is a PROPER old school barbershop. If you've been to the East coast namely Toronto, and the heart of US - New York City, this will remind you of the Italian barbershops! Although located on Kingsway its calm inside and the vibe is awesome. Gordon Lal is a master of his craft, and he is at this location since 1982! Yes that's right, can't get more classic than that in a city where businesses are always changing hands and locations.
He has more than half a dozen certificates from BC, NZ and other places which are the top in hairdressing. The photos and newspaper clippings from late 70s and early 80s are a testament to his craft. He also has his first scissors and razors framed on the wall. This is something I've never ever seen anywhere. Respect! They have a cool soda pop vending machine too.
He is now joined by his son Jason who is assisting him in the business. Though I haven't met Jason, it'll be another experience I'm sure. If you nudge him about his time in Fiji, then in Vancouver and everything in between, you will have one of the best storytelling in your life. Time will just fly by and you'll be transported to different places you've never been to, when you're in here.
While there are plenty of 'salons' and upscale new lounge type places in Vancouver, this is one of the last standing old school shops. Definitely recommend!

I love getting my hair cut here. I'm not super fussy but the experiences I have had here have been great. People always compliment me on my hair after I get a cut here.

Great barber shop. Abides by all covid-19 protocols and keeps clients safe while looking fresh. Thank you to the father and son duo that keeps Vancity looking proper.

I read the reviews and can totally agree to 1 Stars.but can not say its that bad. Then again its definitely not a 5 Star. The old man in there is warm and welcoming veteran of his trade. But sadly he lacks the levels that some might seek in a barber. He wont do a skin fade and he wont listen to all the terms used for styles of cut, But he will cut your hair the way he knows best and for a cheap price. Thats why he and this place should get at least 3 Stars.

A REAL, TRUE BARBER SHOP
My husband has been here 4 years. A good barber is so hard to find. An outstanding one near impossible. We have found the last barber Bill will use until we go back to Ontario. Thank you for fixing the last quacks disaster and making my handsome husband more irresistible

Fade is even but not symmetrical. They have no idea was midfade is or clipper numbers. Top they can cut ok. They don't blow-dry the loose hairs out of your hair. At least they trim your neck hair

Gordon is a very experienced barber and gives great haircuts for good value. From

Having a skin condition on my head and being very shy when it comes to haircuts, I don't like barbershops. This was the first time I recieved good advice and felt relaxed while my hair was being done. Perfect place to get a haircut, jusy make sure to bring cash.

Good place for a cut, and pretty popular. Just keep in mind that the wait can be somewhat long as only one of the guys does walk-ins.
