Great services and the staff are all really lovely. I took my cat in to have a lump removed and everyone was very thorough in making sure I knew how to care for him before his surgery and following the procedure. They also did a great job with my dog with environmental allergies, taking me through the best care route without pushing any unnecessary treatments. My wife and I are very happy with the care provided to our two boys.

I just brought a friend here for her sick cat. Not only did she get in on the same day (which is impossible these days) This clinic is so wonderful! Staff are so friendly! You never get this in a clinic these days. I am sitting here listening to the lovely ladies calling patients and checking in on them. Love this clinic

We used to come here for all our dogs when Dr. Koit ran this clinic. Ever since he retired, we have not had good experiences here. Price gouging and running unnecessary tests on our dog for no reason. It’s a shame because we had been going here for 5+ years when Dr. Koit ran this clinic.

We now go out of our way to a different vet clinic in a different city. I don’t recommend this veterinary clinic.

Update:
We ended up finding a different vet. I called here one day after switching vets in hopes of only picking up my medication for my dog from here but they insisted they run their own tests and examinations before allowing me to pick up my dog’s medication even though his new tests and exams were sent from my new vet. This is after an instance where they had given me an open bottle of his heart medication with 60/100 tablets that were supposed to be inside.

Today, I had an emergency for my dog and all the clinics close to me were fully booked so out of desperation, I called Kingsway vet. The front staff called me to inform it would be Dr. Radnic and asked if I was okay with that as per our last experience. I agreed as long as he just focused solely on the issue my dog is having which is a hacking cough and trouble breathing to which she agreed.

In the room with the vet, with the door closed, he begins to talk about his issues with my review and the nerve I have for coming back. I told him that we had been coming to his clinic for longer than he has worked here, and only after our vet retired did the prices double. I also stated that I am not the only one who has written reviews. He continued to criticize my review, giving me hell, and still hadn’t looked at my dog.

If you are in need of a vet with your pet’s interests in mind, this is not the place. He didn’t look at my dog once during this emergency, only concerned about the review and his own personal feelings.

Shame on you.

Dr Grubac takes good care of our two cats Pepper and Salt, is calm, patient and thorough. Friendly staff too.

Such an amazing team at Kingsway Vet Clinic!
Called the clinic in panic as my pup had some serious issues and bloody stool. They were fully booked and didnt have time for us on that particular day. They have booked us in for 1st thing next morning but advised me to keep calling other clinics as they didn't feel pup should be left for about 24hrs without seeing someone.
To my surprise 15 minutes later I have received a call from them stating that their sister clinic could see us in about an hour and if I was willing to travel. Of course I jumped in on the opportunity and my pup was seen by Dr. Radnic within 2 hours after my 1st call.
My pup received necessary meds and was brought back to his original self within hours of receiving meds.
This clearly shows me that the team at this clinic is super compassionate and they take great care of animals that come through.

At the sister clinic:
It has been explained to me with great detail on what is going on with my pup and what Dr suggests to be done. Before they proceeded with anything they broke down the cost to me to see if I was okay with that. Once okayed by me they took pup into the room and dealt with him. Pup was receiving shots and fluids and I didn't hear him yelp once. The assistant even came out before it was the time to withdraw blood to check with me if I am okay with them shaving a bit of his fur.
Dr. Radnic called the same evening to check up on pup and again next morning.
This has been a pleasant surprise as I did not have this experience with other clinics; usually when you walk out the door they are done with you BUT not with Dr. Radnic; he cares and wants what's the best for your pup.

Updated review for new management that took over a couple years ago. I was skeptical when they took over during COVID, their transition period wasn't a good experience to be honest. The clinic was hectic and disorganized at the start, and sometimes I would wait almost an hour after my pet's appt time to see someone.

But over time, there's been so much positive improvement and progress with how the clinic is run. Overall, Dr Grubac, and Dr Radnic do show great care for both my dogs. I find that they often follow-up with a call after a visit just to see how the dogs are which is a great opportunity to ask follow up questions without the appointment. I do find there is a tendency to suggest additional (sometimes expensive) services and treatments during visits, BUT I also find that I can easily have discussions on what is feasible/reasonable with them so no problem there; I think they suggest these things because they care for the animals wellbeing and comfort. The technicians and front staff are really first class, Trina, Christine, and Sarah all have been super kind, accommodating (within reason!) and helpful with questions I have. Prices used to be incredibly competitive and cheap, but are about on par with other clinics now. Receipts are sent via email, and they call/email appointment and vaccine/check up reminders.

Old review: This review is only for Dr. Koit; I've not had any experience with any of the other doctors, nor is this a comment about their overall customer service, or about the quality of the facilitytech. Unfortunately he is retiring soon - it'll be tough to find someone who is equally as caring and kind to the animals he helps and I wish I'd written this review sooner, but hopefully I can find the same level of ethics in the next vet I find.

Dr Koit is incredible - trustworthy with advice, thorough exams, calm demeanor, ethical. I've been to a few other clinics before, the difference is stark - he has never given me suggestions or advice to upsell me, guilt me into getting products, exams, tests, services etc that my dog (s) don't need or are not required. I've had other veterinarians tell me that 'if you care about the wellbeing of your pet' that I need to do as they say and get very expensive procedures that in the end always yield nothing - Dr. Koit just presents facts and allows you to make a decision that don't play on your feelings. He is succinct but never curt in his responses to any questions I have. He's always clear about future prognosis, is always clear about what services will be needed, and always provides enough context around why he recommends, or doesn't recommend a service. Will be greatly missed!

I've been coming here for over 20+ yrs until Dr. Koit retired. The receptionists are rude and the vet tries to run unnecessary tests and to find more ways to get money out of a visit. It's a shame that I had to find a new vet after 20 years of coming here with my 4 dogs who were such in a good care under Dr. Koit.

Very thorough examination and assessment by Dr Radnic for our cat who was ill with skin and eye problems. Seen at short notice and despite this, did not feel rushed. Excellent follow up communication with check in by telephone by staff in the days following the appointment as well as an email from the veterinarian with results from investigations. Clear with plan and follow up. Staff pleasant and efficient.

The staff put my furbabies health as their primary concern and even tho I didn't have the money up front they worked out payments after with me. Thank you guys

Rough handling of pets. No time taken to relieve anxiety, and they leave you waiting for ages after appointment time which only compounds problems. Gave my dog wrong vaccine, double dosed on another. Would avoid at all costs.

The staff and doctor are fine however they over charged me $270 over a week ago and are yet to reimburse me after many phone calls and a visit to them. So unless you like being charged 3 times for the same service go somewhere else.

The Vet here killed my dog. He came for a cut in his leg. The vet gave him a shot of the only meds that he was allergic to and killed him instantly. It was written in his file and I told him no shots and he ignored my request and gave him a shot without my consent. He was dead within hours. Told me to get lost and wasn't his fault. This man is irresponsible and worse human being I ever met.

Dr. Zoran and the rest of the staff truly care about each pet that comes through. Highly recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about this clinic. Everyone is kind and helpful and even understanding about payment options. One front staff member always remembers my pets names without even pulling up my file. Just a great place overall, always feel confident leaving my pets with them.

They provided good care, but didn’t have great animal sense. My dog is nervous, but historically does really well at the vet. The doctor at this clinic was really loud and abrupt, and didn’t even let my dog sniff her hand before she started trying to examine her. I suggested giving her some treats to help her calm down and feel more trusting, and the vet reached into the bag and held out a handful of treats to my dog instead of giving them to her one by one. Which was… not very helpful. Again, the care we received was ok hence the two stars, but bedside manners were completely lacking. I would not recommend this clinic if you have a sensitive or anxious dog. This is the only bad review I’ve ever left, but I felt the need to share!

I recommended this vet clinic to my friend who brought her dog here. She was very nervous about where to bring her dog so she was absolutely over the moon with the care provided and the overall professionalism of all of the staff here.

Excellent service, very friendly and professional staff. Wouldn't go to any other vet, I have recommended Kingsway Veterinary Clinic to my friends and family. The staff really care for the animals and they are reasonably priced compared to many other Veterinary Clinics! DO NOT GO THIS VET. They do not know what they are doing. Unprofessional, no customer service, and just out for your money. Keep finding out hidden fees. We used to go here to see Dr. Paul Koit who was HONEST and CARING. Whoever has taken over this clinic Dr. Radnic and his team are no good. Your pet is in better hands elsewhere. They are going to lose their old customers who were transferred. Nobody picks up the calls, waiting over an hour to get an answer, and they don't care if their customers are happy - laughable. This doctor hanged up on me when I told her I'm not happy with the hidden fees and told them I should have been told this upfront. She said I don't care if you're not happy, it is what it is. What kind of response is that? How unprofessional! Mooches. Never coming back. Good riddance.

Fantastic clinic with really helpful staff. Sarah helped me to source a specialist Hypoallergenic D&D food for my dog at a reasonable price. Would recommend the clinic to everyone with pets living in the area.

Whoever answers their phone has no business talking to customers, and should not work at a vet clinic.

I had a very pleasant experience here when I went in spring 2021 for my cat. She had to get a few teeth removed, I was very nervous but the doctors were so helpful in explaining the medications, diet, and aftercare. I was able to feel confident heading home knowing exactly what to do and watch for.

Best Vet in town. Really detailed and comprehensive service. Would highly recommend to anyone who cares about their pets.

The Vet have been changed, everything have been changed. One of the medication they gave to my dog need to be taken with food but they didn't specialized on the labels for example, careless, pricey, not professional everything have been changed.

I absolutely love this clinic. Dr. Zoran is an amazing vet and after my experience with several terrible vets, I only trust him with my dog. The staff at the clinic are also super helpful and friendly. When I took my dog here for major orthopedic surgery, they brought in an amazing specialist surgeon and the staff were so caring towards my dog even though I was really stressed out. I highly recommend this clinic as they made me feel like my dog was in the right hands.

The veterinarian and staff are very professional and provide enthusiastic service. My cat's condition has been well taken care of！

One of the front desk lady is very rude. After I paid for the bill, I found out that they gave me one product I don’t need and trying to return the product. That lady rejected to refund my credit card and the reason was because she was too busy. When I insist for a credit card refund, she told me to wait outside in a very bad attitude. After a while, I saw she asked another guy at the front desk to do the refund process. That process actually only took about one minute. Very disappointed and won’t return.

Went there for my puppy's first vet visit and they were extra kind to her. She had a very good first experience with the doctor. He was so gentle and informative, and walked you through everything he did during the exam and vaccines - including how to help my puppy relax during the temperature checks and vaccines.

Front ladies were also super sweet with her and chatted with me, too.

With covid, they're only allowing one person in at a time so be prepared during busy times you may need to wait outside as the place is quite small outside.

Been taking our family pets to dr Koit and his team for years and it’s always very friendly and caring service. I had to put my sick cat down during covid and they made the experience as calming for both of us as possible and were so kind during such a difficult time. Great little neighbourhood vet clinic. Friendly staff, professional vet and reasonable prices. With Covid restrictions only one of us could go into the clinic but that's totally understandable for a small space.

I had bad experience with the previous vet clinic and am glad that I got a recommendation from my family regarding this clinic. Dr. Koit and staff are very polite and to the point. Things well explained, no over selling and prompt follow up phone call. Price very reasonable. Love the down to earth professional attitude.

This is one of the few veterinary clinics I have dealt with that has your pets best interest at hand. They will give you every option possible and no judgement what so ever. Really good vet and office. They will send a letter addressed to your pet to remind your humans for annual vaccinations and a check up and will followup with a phone call if it has been quite some time. The staff and doctors are also very nice. Parking is limited on the street right in front of them.

After our recent move in to the area we were looking for a closer vet clinic for both of our cats. So we randomly picked Kingsway Vet Clinic based on reviews and were surprisingly amazed! Their staff is very friendly and professional. All veterinarians who helped us there were gentle and caring to our cats as well as provided helpful advises. We did shots and spaying at this clinic and were not overcharged at all (believe we were watching our previous vets at Kitsilano clinic as they would add additional unnecessary costs to all our bills for no reason). So if you want your pet to be treated well, please use their service! <3

Appointments start on time. The staff are lovely. Dr Koit is experienced and thorough. I like this small clinic. I love that it is independent and not bought out by vca.

Hi honestly your reply is absurd. I booked an appointment it's not my pet who had a number of health concerns fault that you overbooked other people when you've denied to see us in the past because we didn't have an appointment. I'd assume that the health of my pet is paramount to your scheduling problems. We needed lumps looked at which thankfully the vet we went to instead actually spent more than a second shoving a finger in his butt to say nothing's wrong as you did. And as for not paying our bill, what the actual flock do you want payment for making me wait 20 min or finger banging my dog for a half second? Cause he only pays for 10 seconds or more ya cheap date! F you guys seriously why even respond in this manner go fork yourself mother Tucker's!

1 star review it's a shame really that 1 bad experience can completely erase over a year of customer loyalty. We will never go back to this vet. Had several genuine concerns about the health of my dog. I booked my appointment, which I arrive early for. I understand that businesses are busy and run long sometimes. However when it's my turn which I booked in advance there should be the attention and due diligence given to me just as much as the guy behind and after me. Instead I was rushed through told not to worry about the things that have been bothering my dog and I, quickly checked his vitals said they're good and then refused to clip his nails due to a "lack of time". You had lots of time to serve the person before me. 20 minutes of my time in fact. And now all my dollars are going to a different vet who will take the time I've booked for an appointment to go over our concerns. I hope the expedited appointment was worth losing a long term loyal customer who sang your praises and sent all our friends to you.

Very accommodating. I have been bringing my dog here since he was born. They stopped sending the reminder mails so I wasn't sure when you bring him in. But otherwise good place for a family Dr for the pup

Dr. Koit is wonderful with my dogs. He's really good with explaining to me what is going on with them. He keeps the pets at ease and is gentle with them. The staff there are friendly and helpful as well. It's a great place to take your pet.

They saw my dog when we had her spayed just after her rescue and knew she was nervous. So when she had an issue months later, we called ahead to see if we should medicate her first. They said no, just a muzzle. So we get there, the vet wouldn't go near her, refused to test her, or give her medication without said tests. I was told to make a new appointment and have her sedated. Then still billed me for the visit even though she did NOTHING. I asked ahead if we should medicate and was told no. So they basically ripped us off by having us come in without doing so. We will never be back, and we advise people to avoid this vet.

I brought my dog to Dr. Kolt to treat his eye infection twice because other owners said he really cared for the dogs. After the consultation, he gave my dog eye drops, but after the treatment ended, the infection quickly came back again. Now, I understand infections can come back, so I was willing to pay for the examination the second time. But, after the second treatment, the infection came back again. I wanted to know what else Dr. Kolt could do differently this time to treat his infection, but they asked me to come back for the third time to do another examination. I am not sure whether I can trust the clinic again

A friend recommended us to come here and we always have a good experience. I've been here for a few years and the price is always fair compared to other vets that overcharged us before. Dr Koit is knowledge and always answers my questions.
