Great little market in the Neighborhood. You can pretty much get everything you need here. They also serve pho and other Vietnamese dishes at the back of the store. Great pho!

Can confirm they have YERBA MATE (large and small cans, no glass). Also pretty good refreshments section, amongst plenty of other things.

Unbelievably RUDE!
I came in this morning to buy a box of pre-chopped watermelon and as soon as I got half way down the road I noticed it was complete mush. Out of date melon that looked like it had been frozen to hold its shape, even my fork couldn’t pick the pieces up.
So being close by I walked back to the shop to ask it I could switch it for another box and showed the server my melon.
The server looking confused said “well we check our melons every morning. ”, seemingly insinuating that I had done this myself in just 3 minutes and for absolutely what purpose?

So as I stood there more confused, until I had to ask “soo can I get another box of watermelon? ”, at which the server snapped at me as she turned away shrugging with the words “Well, go and get one then if that’s what you’re here for”. (In perfect English btw - in response to the reply).

I’m quite shocked! I’ve never been spoken to like that by any server before especially when it was quite clear the produce they sold me was completely inedible.

I definitely won’t be returning.

Convenient convenience store. With the staples you are likely to need plus a great choice of seeds and nuts, fresh vegetables, asian items, even a lunch option with sandwiches, soups etc. Actually quite cool.

Very good store in terms of what's on the shelf and everything else related to the business but they will never win the prize for geniality

Aside from the lack of parking, this grocery store is one of best anywhere. Far better variety than Safeway or any other small local market. Just astounding what you can find there-on par with Famous Foods. They deserve your business. Let's make sure they stay in business.

This natural foods grocery store is located in Kitsilano with very fresh produce and quality bulk food items.there is some limited parking off the alley behind the store.very friendly staff.

Great grocery store, and good Vietnamese food from the restaurant in the back - which I enjoyed up until the point I found a long and coarse piece of hair in my pho. The hair was a different colour to mine and was entrenched in my noodles. I kept pulling more of it up out of my bowl and the hair just kept on coming. Needless to say my appetite was immediately ruined. This is not the first time either. I had ordered the same pho last week and there was an eyelash sitting on top of my noodles. Not a big deal and I picked it out, but this hair is the last straw. I cannot recommend their food at all on the basis of questionable sanitary practices. The grocery store has a decent selection though.

Well stocked. Three coolers with a very wide selection of cold drinks ready for picnicking. Sandwich bar and Vietnamese fast food grill in the back. Walking distance from kits beach.

Great local shop with fresh veg and fruit of good quality. Good selection of Uprising Breads and huge variety of condiments snacks. Plus a wide selection of prepackaged bulk foods for baking etc.

Really great corner store and in an awesome spot! I often ride my bike from downtown Vancouver to UBC, and it's right on the route. Great for picking up beach snacks. They have a great selection, great products, and fair prices for the high quality goods they carry. It is always clean and the people are always friendly. Awesome corner store!

I like the store in general for fresh and some packaged food. Bumping up my general rating as I'd give 5 stars to their tofu banh mi Vietnamese submarine sandwich I just had for the first time. Head and shoulders above any I've had elsewhere. Another customer behind me who's likely not vegetarian said they are really good so that's a thumbs up for the other fillings.

Surprisingly unique shop that belies its name. It's actually a Vietnamese grocery store dropped into the middle of Kitsilano. It also has a built in kitchen for takeout hot items like pho or Banh mi. Crazy selection of obscure/interesting grocery items so can take a while to browse. Definitely worth a visit for international food lovers.

Literally the best corner store there is. From weird and unique dried mushrooms to obscure spices to great chocolate. The vegan Pho from the deli is incredible, and brilliant value. I’ve told everyone I know thanks!

This place was a life saver for me. I was at the beach and built up quite the appetite. The sandwich counter in the back was great. Couldn't be more happy in fact. Really appreciated the snack isle too. Some great options imported from Europe.

I Love this shop. All the essentials and unique fresh extras! A superb spice section, an all-natural fresh peanut butter, almond butter and a variety of nuts spreads fridge. A great freezer full of goodies and their bulk is old school health food store style with old school prices. The staff are helpful, kind and busy tending to stocking the shelves and keeping the place tightly organized. They have a small deli well stocked and a fresh assortment of Asian rice wraps to-go with a peanut sauce with a kick! I try to get as much here as possible during the week. Support local. Support small biz! Totally worth it!

Fun neighborhood grocer with a good selection, but buying all your groceries here you'll pay a 20% premium. Overall quite expensive, but great to go grab a few quick things.

So lucky to have this as my neighbourhood grocery store! The selection is really great for a small store, it’s rare that they don’t have something I’m looking for. Lots of options for everyone including vegan, organic, etc. Support this locally owned family business!

This is where I get the majority of my groceries. Their produce is always fresh and their selection is outstanding, given the market is not huge. You can find almost anything you need, especially for alternative diets.

They also have a Vietnamese restaurant that is really tasty and reasonably priced. Their grilled pork banh mi is delicious and only $6 - I have a very hard time not ordering the sandwich instead of getting my groceries to make dinner on a daily basis!

Great market, always have the special products you need but don t know where to find. Overall cheaper that other fancy place and they have bulk options.

If you are looking for ethnic foods, this is a very good option in the heart of Kitsilano. Other offerings include fresh produce, a frozen foods section & bulk items (grains, nuts, etc.). They also have a prepared foods section with some vietnamese dishes like banh-mi, phô, and spring rolls. Social distancing is allowing in-store shopping, sanitizing lotion is also offered. Feel safe and shop comfortably.

They have natto here, only place I know to buy it.
After coming here repeatedly for natto I've found a bunch of locally made natural products. Kudos to whoever sources everything.

They have decent stuff! If you're not sure where to buy a certain type of food, this place probably has it.they even have a deli! It's tucked in the back near the bulk section.due to COVID-19, some of the bulk product is packaged in bags to avoid touching product.they have produce, and even places to sit inside the store.not alot of staff unfortunately.

Fantastic little private grocery store, their variety isn’t amazing but their prices are awesome and they have some truly unique items in stock. I shop here all the time.

A niche grocery store with health foods and Asian staples. Vegan ice cream line is popular with locals. Fresh and local produce is available at very good prices. Very limited meat and baked goods selection. Take-out window in the back for home made soups and stir fries.

Great selection on hard to find items. LOTS of gluten free and healthy alternatives. Prices are fair. I go there regularly.

This place is a hidden gem in Kits. It looks like a tiny spot but it boasts a great selection of ethnic food products, organics and fresh fruit and veg. You want bulk foods? Ok. Looking for just about every kind of dried bean, substitutes for eggs and processed sugar or a wide range of gluten free options? Ok. Want organic meats or vegan options? You've got it. Don't want to shop at Whole Paycheque? Me neither! This is your new go to. You're welcome. Just leave some stuff for me.

Great selection, but poor covid19 response. Was in the store today and a staff member wanted to squeeze past me in the narrow aisles.

This family owned and operated food store has been a huge plus to the natural food community for years. Their new location has been put together beautifully, and many staples I depend on are available. We've been shopping at this store since it was still on Broadway. Lots of awesome organic products that aren't available other local places. Amazing goat Gouda at the cheese counter, reasonable prices on produce.

My place for everything! Customer service is friendly every time. Not everyone is going to be constantly warm and fuzzy when theyve been standing on their feet all day so quit your whining. Also, the Pho in the back is delish!

Love this store! I used to shop at their Broadway and Stephens location for over 25 years. Amazing selection of sauces, ethnic foods, dry and fresh food. They also make super yummy sandwiches in the cafe at the back - amazing deal too! I will continue to shop here and support this local business. So happy they are a few blocks from my house now
