Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant

Chicken karahi. Asked for hot and they delivered. Not overwhelmingly hot, just right. Tandoori naan and rice were delicious. Service was great, never had a empty cup.

I'm eating the left overs at home now and it's still delicious.

Worst food ever tasted in Canada. Nowhere near indian/Nepalese taste. Weird smell from the food coming too.

One of the best place to have authentic Indian flavoured food. For the very first time I felt like having food at home. Thank you!

Highly recommended. It's a family run business. Very friendly owner. We had the lunch buffet. Their food is very good and fresh. Beautiful view as well. We are coming back on Sunday too for their dinner buffet.

We were in Kamloops to visit our son and this restaurant was right across from our hotel. As soon as we walked in the doors we were greeted by a wonderful young man and the incredible smells. The service and the food were absolutely perfect. We truly enjoyed the amazing service and the incredible food. We will definitely be back.

I'm not sure what it was about this place, the decrepit motel around it? Or the fact that they couldn't do a simple vegetable pakora. I did the lunch buffet, and the batter on the pakora doesn't make sense? It was almost like a stale tempura batter.
The butter sauce had to be most boring and bland sauce.
The korma had an excess of ghee.
Maybe the dinner buffet is better? Maybe the menu is better? I'm not sure why this restaurant is as highly rated as it is. It doesn't deserve to be.
The curry beef was better than I expected it to be, but I was surprised to find it.
A few bright spots though, the rice pudding? Delicious.
The staff was extremely friendly, and were quick with the water and to clear the plates!

Delicious Indian food and great, friendly staff. They will inquire with each dish the level of spice you'd like and create a wonderful meal for each guest.

Good food, great service! We were looking for an Indian restaurant for a lunch. They had a buffet lunch. They served the delicious naan. Enjoyed the food! Would like to visit again for momos.

This place serves the best momos in town. Infact the only place where you actually get authentic momos. Great service. There is a tad bit of a wait for the momos but thats acceptable since they make it fresh. Highly recommend Kohinoor. My go to place for momo cravings!

I’ve tried quite a few Indian restaurants in Kamloops and this is by far my favourite. I’ve never had a negative experience with dine in or take out. They always exceed my expectations and the food is just incredible. I also find the price reasonable which is a bonus.

Good food and even better view. We ordered Dal Basanti (Chana Daal) and boy it was so good, rotis surprisingly weren't made of Maida which is a good thing, my friends ordered mutton and it was good as well. A very good experience.

Amazing food. Chicken tikka sizzlers are amazing, chicken Chaat was awesome too. All white meat. Good quality great food.

Amazing hidden gem, this restaurant is family owned and operated and the food tastes as such. We could not stop talking about how flavorful everything we ordered tasted. Highly recommend ordering the momos if you are here. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and made it feel like home. Highly recommend the momos!

On a road trip to Vancouver, we stopped at Kamloops and decided to have dinner in this restaurant. They served us one of the best juicy chicken momos we ever had, delicious chicken biryani and refreshing mango lassi. Not to forget our server (Prava, if I remember correctly) was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Kamloops. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal.

We requested if we could get food an hour early before the restaurant opened, and they agreed! Excellent customer service! I asked all other restaurants but they said no. So very thankful of all the staff of Koh-I-Noor ️

I have yet to go to a restaurant that was as hospitable as this one. They accommodated our late arrival and served us one of the best tasting meals we have had. We have been to many Indian restaurants in the Kamloops area and this is our new #1 favourite. We highly recommend going to this location, not only for the scenic views while dining, but for the amazing hospitality and authentic cuisine. They also have a good variety of dishes that don't disappoint. You will find something that you like; and please try the Nepalese dishes, they are worth it!

I order a food with extra spicy but they are totally fail to provide a good taste instead of providing a good food they even forget to put salt or pepper. The price of the food is not even worth 50% what they provide to customers.

Lovely family run restaurant. The food is exceptional and the people who run the restaurant are truly the nicest. Some of our favorites; Chow Chow Chicken and Murga Makhni. The cheese stuffed naan is a real hit as well.

The food was incredible and the service was amazing. The server took the time to have a full conversation with our six year old and answered all her questions about the decor and food with incredible professionalism. If I could give them six stars I would.

I have tried the veg momos and veg Shahi kohinoor korma, at least a ten times now, both the dishes are absolutely amazing! Must try!

Traveled from Calgary a couple weeks ago and wanted to try while we were passing through. The restaurant looked closed but we were in the parking lot with our dog and an employee pulled up. We explained our situation and even though they were not open, he graciously made us some samosas to go! They were delicious, fresh and he gave us the best service! I would recommend to anyone if they are in the area.

I went at this restaurant by looking at the reviews but when I went there and had food there, food was so tasteless and the service was so bad.

Top knotch service extremely friendly. The food was the best Indian food I ever ate seriously awesome food. I won't dare try any other Indian restaurants in kamloops. These guys are awesome. The place looks little rough outside but once you step inside its sooo nice. Was not expecting that. Very nice setup inside. There chicken wings are fricking awesome. I love this place and I'm very picky person. Try it out will be blown away.if you don't you are missing out on awesome food. Cheers folks

Visited the place for the first time and I was in for a treat. The bindi masala and chicken karahi were both equally fresh, tasteful, mouth-watering dishes. The Tandoori chicken was fresh, spicy and very delicious. The reception was excellent and the food came on time. This is no doubt the best Halal restaurant in Kamlops even though all of their items aren't Halal.

Such an overpriced place and I thought food must be good but it was a joke. Momos were overcooked on the outside and seemed a little raw and flavourless on the inside. And never order korma and laccha prantha as apparently they forgot to add salt and to even cook the cream they add in it. $5 for one laccha prantha which looked like 5 tortillas glued together. And then I called them to inform them about it. The chef wasn’t even ready to apologise or to hear anything wrong.

One of my favorites to go to. Great cuisine and appetizing taste of India and Nepal. Try it once and you will never stop. Support Local, its just that time

This is our new favorite spot! So far we have had Rogan Josh, Vindaloo (both lamb) and Butter Chicken. Oh and cheese stuffed Naan and garlic Naan. We loved it so much we ordered 3 weekends in a row. And the service is soooo friendly, love the lady who answers the phone.

I will give 2 stars. Today me and my husband ordered two items Chicken biryani and Beef samosa as takeout. Both of them tasted mediocre at best. The chicken biryani tasted quite bland. We being biryani lovers its really very upsetting. Definitely not worth the money we paid for each item.

A regular Friday takeout place for us. Their curry is excellent, and my wife loves their veggie korma!

Nice menu with many choices. We had a veggie samosa which was one of the best we've had. We ordered two dishes. Rojan Josh, lamb cubes in a spicy sauce. Excellent flavor, nicely spiced. Chicken Tikka Masala, equally tasty with a super good sauce. Two complaints. On this night they were understaffed. The servers were pleasant however, just a bit overworked. The other is access. To get to the door you must climb a set of stairs.

Such an amazing Indian restaurant. I live in Vancouver, and was on a visit here. Me and my friends reached the restaurant at 8: 30 PM. The closing time was 9: 00 PM. Although we had to wait for 15 minutes to settle down and about 30 minutes for the order (they had run out of Tandoori chicken and had to make it again). The food was so delicious! I've never had this experience in Vancouver. The service was exceptional. Even though we were late, they served us like their first customer. Hats off to the management and the staff for making our trip memorable.highly recommended.

We had a stop in Kamloops and were looking for good food. Koh-I-Noor was and is the best choice for sure! The food was beyond than perfect. So tasty, spices were perfect and the taste.oah heaven! The service was so friendly and we felt so welcomed. Five Stars arn't enough for this perfect service, the overwhelming good food and the stunnig view.

Foods taste is so bad, never been in there promise. Super bad staff at front. Stabbing the table while talking and showing her agressive behaviour. No respect for customers. Employee name kathy dont know how to deal with the customer.

As travelers spending the night on our way to Banff, we had no idea where to eat dinner. Our hotel clerk suggested this restaurant and it was the best! Wonderful service, and the food was excellent! We will definitely eat here again on our way back.

Sensational meal, exceptional service, amazing value for money. Very simple decor. Not fancy, just tasty. Super-kind team for whom nothing is too much trouble. They take genuine pleasure that you enjoy your meal.

The food was alright but my experience was extremely poor. I arrived with my boyfriend around 645 pm. We ordered 1 vegetable samosa, 2 cups of chai, naan, and chilli chicken. The two waitresses were running around and trying to serve the customers. They tried their best to accommodate everyone but service was extremely slow. The samosas came out at 730 but we had no cutlery. I had to get up myself and grab it.

It took an hour for the tea to arrive (8pm). There is no excuse as to why it should take an hour to serve tea. We still didn’t receive the chilli chicken. Around 8: 15, I asked for the bill seeing as how it was taking absolutely forever to get the rest of the food. Five minutes later, we finally got our food.

I don’t understand why we had to ask for our food to go before it was finally given. This reflects how poorly managed this restaurant is. There should have been at least three or four people on the floor as opposed to two. For this reason, I will not be coming back or recommending this restaurant. Hopefully management takes this review seriously rather than replying passive aggressively.
