Koko Monk Hot Chocolate Lounge

I should’ve checked out this place sooner! They have so many different hot chocolate flavors, chocolates, and pastries. I tried their authentic white hot chocolate and it exceeded my expectations. It was not extremely sweet and the orange zest gave it a nice touch, it tasted like warm fruit loops. On the pricier side but it’s totally worth it given the high quality. The guy behind the counter was very helpful too!

This is the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had, hands down.

If you want vegan hot chocolate or gelato, this is the place to go to! All of the dark hot chocolates are unreal- if you like ancho chillies, the spice oddity is the way to go!

We bought Turkish latté. They were nice and hot and frothy but we're utterly tasteless and there wasn't even a hint of coffee. Very disappointing.

Hot chocolate was delicious in a great kind of not too sweet way. We also really enjoyed their truffles. They had some really fantastic flavours. The person who I assume is the owner was super passionate about their product.

Got the pillow fight white hot chocolate. It was really good. Also tried a salted chocolate chip cookie which was also really good. They even gave me and my friend mini ice creams to go with the hot chocolate. Really decadent place

It's an expensive place and has good artesian chocolate. The little chocolates are fancy, some amazing flavour combinations, and $2.50 each.

The other day I went there and saw a lot of flies around the chocolate section, the girl attending was super nice but i was shocked with the lack of higenic conditions, flies around food doesnt look like a 5* chocolaterie.

So many hot chocolates to try, so little time! Such a fun and unique way to spend the afternoon. They have so many flavours and everything we tried was delicious.

The authentic hot chocolate with spices and orange zest was good - not too sweet, with rich dark chocolate flavour. The Rashomon (matcha white chocolate) was so-so/just ok - couldn't taste much matcha as it was quite weak and overwhelmed by the sweetness of the white chocolate.

It's a small shop, but they do have dine-in. There are partitions between some of the tables. Lots of interesting chocolate flavours and other treats for sale! Worth a second visit~

I understand your feelings but for a bussines it requires also a good PR and comunity manager for comunication to clients on behalf your Brand. Your reply only confirme what I was sayin and makes me think you didnt pay atention and read my review, worth sayingnis not intended to damage bur to encourage a better performance since customers are paying for your products and service, so:
1. The day we went there were 3 people 1 lady, and old man and a young man only the last one was nice and fast but service is cold and slow.
2. I get the portion of gelato (1regular spoon portion) flavor exotic, interesting taste like guanabana but for me not so good to the h.chocolate since you couldnt taste the species on in until the end. I ordered a cockie apart the 2 chocolates we had.
3. What I said is that only on especific days you get to try the special of the festival and that is took excitement from "festival thing"
4. No one explaint us the beberage not even offered any of the festival, didnt invitw us to return to try other flavors, did not explain what was on the beberage or gelato like other places in festival did (we went to 4 others) and they offered bigger versions.
5. For dine in there is few tables and a bar but is small so the noise does not allow to have a convo so a rather small portion of hot choco for the price of a top restaurant without the experience of a good ambience
6.yeah you have chocolates, and some other good products but to me the service and the reduced options of bakery was disapointing.

ambient is not comfy, service slow and cold just 1 person of staf was kinda nice. They dont offer a good variety of chocolate and I think they could use some bakery or sides for the drinks. I had the specisl of the hot chocolate festival and it was ok. They dont explaing or offer the special drinks like other places do. Prices high for what you get.cookie was raw in the midle super hard on the edges dissapointed

All kinds of flavours - if you want to play it safe, the authentic has clearly been perfected, brilliantly balanced. Otherwise, there’s lots of opportunity to be adventurous!

The most exciting thing: on Saturdays you can get a FLIGHT of hot chocolate!

Hot chocolate was delicious, but the service was poor. We told the girl at the till we wanted to dine in, but the guy behind jumped the gun to make our drinks. When I saw that he was pouring my hot chocolates in the paper cups, I told him it’s for dine in only to have him tell me it’s too late. It wasn’t about the $0.50 they charged us, but more for the terrible unapologetic communication and the two now wasted paper cups. And they were opened for dine in with empty tables. The customer in front of us they were serving didnt wear a mask and none of the staff said anything to him. The hot chocolates did not make up for the disappointing experience.

This place is so much fun! Authentic Turkish coffee and chocolate options. Lovely knowledgeable staff. Very unique hot chocolate flavors for both dark and white chocolate…think fun spices, fruits, olives, chilli, etc.next time I will definitely be getting the hot chocolate flight to try more! They also sell vegan options which is nice. Highly recommend

Walked by randomly and decided to check this place out. Had such a lovely experience. The chocolate is artistically beautiful and the flavours are delectable. Will be back soon.

The hot chocolate is exquisite. They can make it without sugar or sweeteners. The caramel egg was just right: not so sweet, so you taste the flavors. I also tried the pure chocolate which they make on site. It is all very high quality.

Not the best picture - in a hurry because they were closing. I feel like they should be open later than 8 on a Saturday. I was astounded at the complexity and effort involved in crafting these drinks. The baristas looked like chemists. I appreciate the care put into these creations. I wasn't really sure what to expect as this was my first time at a chocolate bar, but I was blown away. I adore chocolate and I was not disappointed. Each drink was special and unique, but the Black Pearl was my favorite. It was like experiencing Heaven on Earth.

Best hot chocolate experience ever! Make sure to come on a Saturday and get the flights of hot chocolate for $20! Amazing drinks and service. I love this place and come here whenever I can, especially during the cold. The staff is so helpful and wants you to have a great experience.

First I heard the jazz music, then ended up with a box of chocolates and a chai latte. Then I was advised to try the chocolate chai latte next time.

I don’t know why people line up at TH for half an hour when Koko Monk is empty and has a very nice selection of chocolate.

I recommend their matcha bar, not too bitter, and subtle matcha taste, more on white chocolate side.

Fun selection of hot chocolate and they can be made vegan. I loved the Jasmine white hot chocolate.

This place is soooo awesome. On a cold day this place hits the spot. The hot chocolate is on a whole other level. Dark and white chocolate options, simple and interesting. Definitely something for everyone. My and my friend both loved our drinks (authentic white and sin white chocolate with lavender)
We also got a shortbread cookie which was so perfect and lovely to compliment, dense and smooth.
There is a big giftshop with tons of really unique gift ideas for yourself or others, definitely a great spot to find entertaining items

Have been to both locations. This one was very busy with no where to sit and the hot chocolate was fine tasting. I got the red Cadillac which is listed for being spicy and it was so not spicy at all! My partner got one that's quirk wasnt even being spicy and it was spicier than mine! Portions are smallish and very very very overpriced. 15 dollars for a small and one medium hot chocolate. Staff are always engaging, first time I went to the kits location I got a step by step instruction on how to eat her freshly made Carmel and it was a great first date experience. Staff here were very excited about what they were creating but unfortunately didn't make the hot chocolate taste much better

Wow. Had the most incredible chai hot chocolate today for the Hot Chocolate festival. Finally, a spicy hot chocolate that is actually spicy. Please, please add this to your regular menu. Sooooo good will be back this week!

Colour me a supplicant! Koko Monk initially set me back based on prices. Spending $7 on a small hot chocolate seemed a bit much.but after the exquisite experience of that drink I brought my spouse back and spent another $50, and it was worth EVERY CENT. The proprietor is a magician both in preparation and in telling you the story behind the ingredients and their acquisition. Every single item that we consumed was the very best I have ever tasted of it's type. Belgian chocolate? HAH, you are at best an also ran compared to Koko Monk products! We will return.

Koko Monk hot chocolates are what dreams are made of. Paul (the owner and chocolatier) makes a science of out perfectly balancing the flavours in his creations to leave you surprised, sated, and inspired. These chocolates and hot cocoas are not run of the mill, Paul experiments with flavours not normally associated with chocolate (watermelon, tomato, pepper) as well as serving up delicious versions of the usual dark, milk, and white chocolates. He is also always friendly and courteous, and full of information about chocolate and flavour science. Definitely come here during the hot chocolate festival (Jan/Feb) when there are 4 new hot drinks to try, but Koko Monk is good at any time of year. On Saturdays you can buy flights of hot chocolate (there are 14 to choose from), which would be a great date for the chocolate lover in your life.

The hot chocolate I got was called the cosmic. It was so delicious. I have had a lot of hot chocolate and this was amazing. Also the service was excellent. Its a nice place to grab a treat. Especially with a friend. I will for certain go here again.

My friend and I really love their hot chocolates! I personally like their dark hot chocolate but their Matcha hot chocolate with sake tastes really special too!

This was my first time at Koko Monk. I would recommend it for those who want to try something different.
I went on a rainy Saturday afternoon with two friends. It wasn't too busy, but the place is small so we were lucky to get a table. The people working there were very friendly, and the owner was also there and explained the different options for us. He even gave us a free chocolate!
On Saturday they have the option of having a "flight", meaning you can try 3 different hot chocolates for $10. It's great for those that want to be adventurous, since they have some really unique drinks. The only catch is that at least two people have to order the same drink.since the serving sizes are smaller but they still have to make each one by hand.

Wonderful and friendly staff. We were started with a tasting of two different chocolates and were guided through the changing flavours of each. We settled on Turkish coffees and hot chocolates, and all were incredibly delicious and flavorful. Would absolutely recommend this place to friends!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Best hot chocolate I have ever had! I visited on a whim and ordered the matcha hot chocolate. The flavour was incredibly complex and amazing, not too sweet and somewhat savoury from miso. It even had seaweed in it. Sounds crazy, but it tasted incredible. The owner was so kind and friendly informed us that it won an award in 2016! The service was so superb and personable. I wish I lived closer I could go back and pay another visit. They also seemed to have a great selection of chocolates, tarts, and more.
