Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - Lougheed Town Centre

It was a eh experience. Nothing really too impressive. Noodle texture was good but it wasn't as flavorful as I expected it to be. On top of that my friend had the carbonara mazesoba and it was thoroughly unimpressive. No flavor whatsoever. One thing I really liked was that it was free sizes so you can pick how much noodles you want and itll still cost the same amount. Also the front half of the restaurant atmosphere and decor is really good but then the back half no effort put into it. So it's all wow when you walk in and then when you're seated at the back, it's kind of disappointing and lackluster.

This was the first time i got the carbonara mazesoba and it was kind of disappointing.the flavours were bland and overall it was super dry.the other mazesobas have been pretty good so far however and they're pretty decently priced for the portions you get.service was attentive.

I'm really not sure why this place is so highly rated. Out of all of the ramen places I have ate at this is probably one of the worst places I have ever been. Everything from the service to the food was completely underwhelming. The servers seemed pretty clueless and even when I had asked for more noodles, kaedama wasn't understood.as if that wasnt a huge red flag enough. Beer was flat, food just honestly weird and super boring. Decor of the building terribly designed. Drywall near the kitchen punched in so many times from people sitting down it stuck out like a sore thumb. Cutlery displayed like some pho restaruant it's a joke an absolute joke. Save your money go downtown to the better ramen spots, Horin is a great one just to mention and of course the over hyped danbo even though they are good it's just not worth waiting 2 hours for. Seriously don't go here this is not good food.

Omg this is the best mazesoba I ever had! I had the carbonara mazesoba and it was splendid. The service here was amazing! Especially the short Korean server! Definitely going to come back here. The chef with the green bandana makes the best food!

I won’t be back to this restaurant. I ordered extra salmon sashimi with my meal and I only got the size of a tiny round container of salmon sashimi (the type of container that sauce usually goes into for take-out at most restaurants). It was a bad portion size for what I was paying. I wasn’t impressed. I won’t recommend this restaurant to others either. Don’t be so cheap with your portions.

I’ve tried both their ramen and their mazesoba. I like both but I’m a ramen kind of guy so I usually order their ramen. I’ve tried different ramens here and they’re all very good. Their broth is rich and their ramen noodles have a good texture. I believe the ramen noodles are made fresh on site daily.

I usually come with my family and everyone enjoys their order.

Service is not bad usually but sometimes the servers are busy talking to each other and not paying attention.

I don’t think there is a parking lot here. There is street parking so sometimes it can be hard to find parking nearby.

Overall, I enjoy the food, decor and ambiance of this restaurant.

So this was only my first time having mazesoba, so I don't have much to go off of, but it was really good! I tend to get whatever is the spiciest when I have asian dishes as I like the flavour better that way, and this did not disappoint. It wasn't too spicy or anything but was a hot head kind of spicy; it makes you sweat but doesn't hurt your mouth too much. Anyways, cool place with a good location, street parking only unfortunately though. I really did not see the unexpected flavour coming at the end, that caught me off guard.

One of my must go place whenever I visit Vancouver. They’re specialized in mazesoba which is dried ramen noodle with special sauces, and that’s also what you must try when you’re there. My friend tried just regular ramen and it was ok but better to have it in some only original ramen places. And I always get their 1st one in the menu, safe but special good choice.

This place is amazing! It was our first time here, and we’re definitely coming back. We ordered the Spicy Mazesoba and the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba. The food was flavorful and delicious, with a rich umami flavor. Highly recommend!

Had the Creamy Tonkotsu Spicy Ramen. The flavours were wonderful. Perfect portion sizes, friendly staff/environment, and love the decor! Will be back.

Kokoro is such a unique japanese ramen shop! I often get their mazesoba which taste great but I've also gotten their spicy tonkotsu ramen. It tastes pretty good but the broth isn't as flavorful as other ramen shops. It's pretty standard and light, so the bowl of ramen just tastes good. I would love to try their mentaiko mazesoba though. It looks amazing! Note though: when you order their mazesoba through any form of takeout, it won't taste as good because it doesn't come with an egg yolk. They replace it with a soft boiled egg instead. In my opinion, the egg yolk is what makes it taste good and rich and creamy. Without it, it's a bit dry. So make sure you dine in when you try especially for the first time. Their hokkaido soft serve is very creamy and good too. Comes with the cutest shovel spoon!

Update: had the salmon avocado don. Not very good! They say the rice is seasoned but when I tried it, it wasn't seasoned. Maybe slightly with vinegar I wouldn't call that seasoning. Maybe their karaage don is better but I would not recommend the salmon avocado don!

Server was friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly after I placed order. I had Zenbu Mazesoba and Tokyo Milk tea. The milk tea was so good, not too sweet and suites my taste.
The mazesoba is salty which I didn't like; however, noodles themself are surprisingly chewy and good. Will try different dish next time.

Noodles were good. Service was terrible. I ordered the best seller dish (Niku Mazesoba - marked on the menu), but the server didn't know which dish it was. I didn't love it, it was pretty salty and the chashu dry. My husband received and finished his meal, and no one came to check on us. I eventually had to get up to check where my food was. They had forgotten it. The server that I chased down was very apologetic, however our own server never said a word, just put my dish on the table when it eventually came. We did get a 20% discount, but it's not enough to bring us back.

Good food good service. A lot of variety. A bit pricey for what it is but enjoyable nonetheless.

Really tasty portions of mazesoba noodles. The most popular one with the pork and the seaweed shredded with the egg yolk is the best. We order this all the time and I think this location is better than the Brentwood or Metro one but then again that’s just an opinion.

Friendly staff, food came out in a timely fashion and no wait. A good experience and I will come again.

The taste and portions of the ramen are great, but the service I got today was way below. The server who looked the mid-20s or older and was not Asian received the order, but she did not check the order before leaving the table, so I had to hold onto her to confirm the order. Also, when we paid the bill, she even did not say a word such as goodbye or thank you. It would be better if the service were good. By the way, the other staffs are friendly

Never had mazesoba before, it was quite tasty and the instructions were very helpful! Not too heavy and it was good to be able to customize a bit with vinegar and chili, especially since the spice level was really low. The drinks came in a very cute plastic bag as well!

Ordered the Kokoro Ramen and Tan Tan Ramen both with tonkatsu broth. Bagged milk tea with ice.

Pros: the noodle texture and salted soft boiled eggs were good. Overall side toppings were fine.

Cons: the Chashu was dry and chewy. The broth for the Kokoro Ramen tasted like watered down cream sauce and the Tan Tan had a slight peanut taste. The broths lacked the umami and the animal fattiness of other premium ramen places. Maybe it's a problem with their dashi or bone stock. The aftertaste of both broths was just water. The milk tea just tastes like Bottled Kirin Brand milk tea.

Had the spicy ramen, was a delicious and comforting creamy broth. Great warm soup on a cold and rainy lower mainland day.

Not my favorite Ramen place, but with Mazesoba this good, it doesn't even matter. The spicy Mazesoba is so good. Just thinking about it, I want some now.brb.

Hokkaido creme cone is pretty good but again very pricy.

Absolutely amazing food! The staff was polite and friendly, we were seated almost immediately, and they were quick to take our order.

The meal was prepared very fast, so quickly that the items we ordered to share before our meal came all arrived with our meal, but that is what efficiency looks like!

Preparation was excellent, we were asked about allergies, and although we had none, it is quite inclusive to ensure a great meal experience. We will definitely return!

Good food very nice flavours in a modern decor. The prices seem reasonable but the portions are small. They were out of almost everything. Our table was a little unclean (I guessing short staff) So I am on the fence about recommending this place.

This was my second time visiting a Kokoro Mazesoba location (first time was the downtown location) and this visit did not disappoint! Ordered the Niku Mazesoba and it was consistent with my first visit. Super creamy, rich, and very filling! Highly recommend and will continue coming back for this!
