The food was pretty good and affordable. Their Angus Beef on a stick was tasty, definitely recommend that if you guys pay a visit!

Changed ownership and menus are still in progress. Service was great for a new ownership take over. Very attentive. Foie gras nigiri was yummy.

Change of owners. Tiny chirashi don that cost $30 bucks. The bow was the size of a miso soup bowl, sashimi was thin and only 7 pcs. Size of an appetizers size from other restaurants. Fish was just normal like tuna, salmon, ebi, tai, egg, clam and bit of chop scallop, nothing special or expensive. The other food were so-so. Won't be coming back.

Great place for late night dinner, I’m very picky when it comes to Sashimi! Their sashimi is very fresh. Fried chicken is juicy and crispy chicken skin is flavorful.
The place is also quite clean, good hygiene.

Totally not recommended. The place is a money pit, way overpriced for the small portions and quality similar to what you can find at the supermarkets. Pretty sure long positive reviews here are from friends and acquaintances but not real customers standpoint. This place would be a good late night dining if it wasn’t for their ridiculous price.

Like the food, esp scallop comes, but this place sometimes open, sometimes closed, inconsistent business hours

One of my favourite sushi place in Richmond. Have to give them 5 stars. Good service, good food!

Walked in and stood in front of 3 workers who had their back turned to me and waited 5 minutes and no acknowledgement.

I was not impressed.

Walked out and ordered sushi from a different place down the street.

We ordered take out, the wait time was approximately 25min. We end up up getting our food an hr later. Food was great though.

My favourite go-to for late night! The late night menu at 9pm is so great. The servers are on point, so efficient, kitchen is fast. My favourites are the small donburis with tempura and any roll I'm feeling that day. I've since moved out of Richmond but Koto is definitely one of the places I miss the most.

Nice and polite people however the food was not that good unfortunately but I'm sure they could learn how to do better if they work on it just being honest!

Customer service is alright. Could be better but not terrible. What shines is their late night specials. Good deals for delicious sushi.

My favourite would be the spicy salmon crunchy roll and the scallop roll.

Very good quality sushi. The LateNite special is what makes us go there. The hand cones are well portioned at a very fair price, also the Aburi sushi pieces are very good. It's a nice option to have a late dinner or go snack late night.

Been frequenting this place since the late 90s. It has been revamped a couple times since then but food is just as good by Chef Michael. The late night menu is a sweet deal as usual. I used to frequent a lot more when i was younger in my partying days when Richmond was less crowded as parking is a major problem nowadays.

Very not impressed. I haven't been back to this store for a year now and wanted to try it out again. It was horrid. The food standard here has gone terribly bad. The sashimi was not fresh, it was small portion compare to other sushi restaurants in Richmond that charges the same. The grill is full of some weird sauce and the grill is served in soy sauce small plates. We ordered some rolls as well and the rolls were a total mess. The toppings looked like they were slapped onto of the roll without any care. The fillings inside the roll was falling apart. It was complete lack of effort and care. Will not come back ever again. I would recommend the owner to actually take some serious reflection in how they serve sushi compare to market standard.

The food here is amazing and fresh, the drinks are really good. Sometimes it's hard to find parking but it's totally worth it.

Food and ambience is good. Just a heads up that the parking is limited but you can park on Alexander road for free after 9pm.

The lady is actually pretty nice once you get to know her. Yes she might seem rude to others but just don't ask stupid questions & she good. Late night is SUPER GOOD!

I like the sushi they serve here but their service is pretty slow. Menu is pretty diverse and price is a little more on the expensive side for sushi but still decent

We went there and ordered their deep fried chicken. The chicken was rotten and all 4 of us thought it smelled really weird. When we complaint to the owner, she didn’t seem to care at all.

If you're looking for cheap late night eats it meets the bill. If you know quality sushi and dont like cheap sushi you will despise this spot.

Always fresh and the food are good specially the sashimi. You can tell that their sashimi is freshly slice because you can see a pico part of the skin. Their only getting 3 s because of the bad treatment that i received from a server. Again, im telling you ive never been rude to the staff or treated them bad or any person in particular special the people that will serve your food. God you dont know what they can do or will do to your food if you treated them badly. In conclusion the food can be good but bad experience will leave a bad memory and a bad impression.

Great place to go to if you're looking for a late night snack (they also have a late night menu). However, the restaurant is TINY, so be prepared to wait-especially if you're coming in a party larger than 4.

Came here for dinner and ordered chicken teriyaki and a black dragon roll. The rice was horribly soggy and wet. Trust me when I say it’s an understatement. The chicken smelled weird (in a bad kind of way). The bd roll was better but unfortunately the rice was still too wet.

I’ve been here many times for late night and it has always been hit or miss. Lately it’s been on a downhill as it feels like their service and food quality has been horrible. Most likely won’t ever go back since there are many choices in the area.

Authentic and decent. Small food portion as all good Japanese place should be. For someone who is wanting for quantity, not a goos choice as the food is pricy. For someone who wants a taste of authentic Japanese food, place to go.
