A delightful atmosphere with tremendous care put into everything they do. I love places like this that have clearly grown up over time. And become beautiful and warm destinations on a lovely Saturday afternoon in.

Picked up an apple waffle this morning and it was FANTASTIC. Waffle was perfectly cooked, the apple topping was great - warm and slightly crunchy. Would definitely recommend!
03 October 2023 14:24
Stunning farm, staff is very friendly and waffles are delicious, familly environment, and market products fair price for the quality
12 September 2023 22:43
This place used to be okay. But, they charge way too much and quality has gone down. We had a fries and corn pizza today. They charged us $30 for a corn pizza and fries were $7.50. I had to clean our table and the fries were completely burnt.
11 September 2023 19:18
I waited long time for waffle to be ready. They put my waffle on the tray for 5 min then they kept doing other people's asks. I don't understand why the boy just standing there and not serving. All kinds of bugs fly and bees got on my waffle and still I was waiting. When I got waffle, it was all soggy and gross. I brought back to Manager, she didn't even say sorry for her poor training for staffs. She was showing her attitude and said what I want and just said she doesn't wanna argue with me. What she did to me was terrible as a manager. Very unprofessional! It was a terrible experience here!
10 September 2023 21:40
Was nice to make it out and pick up some of the amazing fresh treats, lots of great activities and enjoyment with my grandchildren.
27 August 2023 16:28
Not a great experience today. Many parts of the farm were closed. Long line up at the check out station. Only 1 cashier. Manager was no where to be found to take care of the bottle neck.
17 August 2023 3:58
Very disappointed cause they did not let us use our own fruits while we picnic their. We bought 3 wine they opened two of them and did not open the third one as it's against their laws. Over all there are too many regulations which are not mentioned in their site and make you feel upset. We prefferd to leave there and try somewhere else.
06 August 2023 21:05
Absolutely gorgeous place with a variety of things to do including fruit picking and wine sampling. Lovely sunflowers and very patient and attentive staff in the wine tasting bar. I did buy a bottle of the sparkling wine for dear friends.
18 October 2022 0:34
Everyone seems nice, great experience and weather was perfect for Upick BUT I didn't expect to pay for a pizza that looks like somebody ate it. I asked for what happened but no reasable explanation at all. This is not what I look forward to it at this farm AND it was $8 for a slice of pizza. Absolutely horrible customer service. Don't get me wrong I am generous person even if staff are teenagers or young
17 October 2022 10:08
Waited 20 minutes in line plus another hour for 3 smoothies and a slice of corn pizza. The corn pizza was not good. Tasted like stale pizza pocket with corn. The blueberry waffles were wayyyy to soggy and overly sweet from being drenched in syrup. Was extremely underwhelmed by the food here. Still have a whole berry pie sitting in my fridge that I regret purchasing and I am not that excited to try it after tasting the food here. Also after interacting with the staff at the porch, bakery, checkout at the farm, as well as when purchasing the baskets for upick, I can confidently rate the staff 0/5 stars for attitude and helpfulness. Disappointed.
17 October 2022 6:47
Great place to bring your little one or family to go picking some berries! Love their waffles and pies. We always get a frozen pie to bring home and make. Soo yummy!
16 October 2022 13:36
Bad experience. I drove out here with my husband and dog from Vancouver to try and buy the wine. The dog was not going in as i know dogs cant go into markets and grocery stores. It was a hot day, she was going to hang outside while grabbed the wine. A Karen working there came by to tell me dogs are not allowed on the property because they grow food for humans to eat. I asked if my husband and dog could wait for me in the parking lot. The Karen said no dogs in the PARKING LOT. Needless to say I did not go into the market and left. Not spending money there. So rude and unreasonable. At any restaurant or grocery store, the dog can wait in the parking lot.
16 October 2022 6:28
Wait, wait, wait, and stand around some more. This place is WAY too busy on the weekend. It’s taking an hour just to get on to the shuttle bus that takes us to an off-site picking field.
This place is also very dysfunctional. It’s extremely busy but the poor staff coordination and overall disorganization makes this place miss the mark. Nearly every employee is a teenager without direction. And their “systems” or methods in place make no sense. The entire Upick line of 100 people wrapped around the building was staffed with 2 young girls who had to explain the process to every family at the till. Put a sign with prices and a map out front, so people can figure it out while they spend 45 min in line!

The berries themselves were pretty good.
Although, getting off the bus we were given no direction so we headed into the first row (tons of huge blueberries). Shortly after another teenager came by to tell us to pick only in certain rows, where the berries were plentiful, but MUCH smaller. Same thing happened in raspberries, we started picking and was told we were in the wrong area, with no signage or direction.

The whole business gives off the vibe of “cash cow”. High prices vs.lack of trained staff.
Find somewhere less popular, and save yourself the time and hassle.
15 October 2022 11:31
The fresh berties are so good especially thus year. Many thoughtful and unique gifts. Plus.better than Mom's pies. My freezer is filled with their delicious frozen berries ready for wholesome smoothies. I was exicted to be able to get some Gluten Free baking for my gluten sensitive guests. Make sure you walk through the herb garden. I even picked up some fresh edible flowers to add to my salad for special guests this evening. Their yellow corn when in season is the best!
14 October 2022 0:20
Great place, the waffles are a must. I really loved them. I would also recommend a friend to go.
08 October 2022 14:23
Always love to support local wherever possible. The upside: Krause has some great upick options, and some awesome pre-made, frozen pies. The downside: $13+ for a waffle is quite pricy, especially when staff are extremely inconsistent in the amount of berries they pile on from order to order. Pre-picked berries are prone to mold, so I suggest not buying raspberries unless you want to throw away half of your haul as you leave the parking lot.
08 October 2022 10:10
It was like Bizarro land. We came to the farm at 1: 30 to pick berries but u-pick was already closed. We then went to order some food in an area where the payment system is ackwardly setup to make sure you have to go through the tip process even though it is self-serve orders. After tipping 15% (for what I'm not sure) and finishing our food and putting our containers in the garbage, I put our carry-tray on the counter of the order window. After doing this and walking away, one of the staff yells at me to come back and put my tray above the garage can. I mean, come on dude, just put the tray on the stack of trays that are an arm's length away from you behind the counter. BTW, customers are not obligated to clean up at all and this member of the staff is obviously service adverse so I am not sure why he is asking for a tip on payment. The staff member obviously comes from some bizarre world where customer service operates this way.
05 October 2022 23:44
Terrible customer service. The telephone doesn't work. My mother in-law lost her wallet. I called them 5 times, left 2 voicemails, wrote email. Nobody responded. They don't care about customers. I decided to stop visiting them.
02 October 2022 16:26
Parking can be a bit of an issue on busy days. My group lucked out. Blueberry picking was plentiful. Raspberries not so much, but if you're patient, you'll get raspberries. Their waffles are excellent. If you're going to a dinner party where people judge you on what you bring, then I suggest bringing a Krause Berry Farm berry pie. They'll judge that you have good taste, and that you brought one of the best desserts in Metro Vancouver.
01 October 2022 10:03
Well, I would like to say it was a good experience, but today they changed my mind! I was there yesterday and bought 3 different wines. When I got home I realized they put a wrong one in my packs. I called them and really expexted a good answer, but they talked in a way like it was my fault! Using wording like if you want a refund or exchange you have to bring it ma'm! And keep it in a cool place till then. Well it is one hour drive there and one hour drive back! More than 24CAD for fuel! To cover what they did wronly. No sentence to make me feel a little better or supported! So disappointed.
26 September 2022 12:06
Always a great experience over here. The food is great, Upick service was fantastic when we went last time, and was super happy about the vegan and gluten free options offered at the waffle bar! A beautiful place with friendly staff.
17 September 2022 23:27
Don't bring kids! It used to be that you picked the berries you wanted, then paid by weight. It's now a system where you must buy containers at the booth, prepay based on the maximum capacity of the containers, and everyone in the field must have their own bucket.

These changes make the logistics of going as a family with young children more difficult: berries get spilled easily from the shallow kid-sized containers. Toddlers don't have the attention span or heat tolerance to wait around while you fill all of the containers you were required to prepay. Toddler wants to be carried on the way back? It's too many containers and kids, but not enough hands. Berry picking not good that day? Unfortunate, because you’ve already prepaid for full buckets.

It’s a greedy policy change that makes for a strictly worse guest experience.
17 September 2022 11:09
Fresh selection of berries, berry pies and baked goods for sale in the market. You can also pick your own. Stands for waffles, ice cream and smoothies were also available. Lots of seating available. They also had a variety of fruit wines for tasting and buying. Great place for kids and family to spend an afternoon or day.
15 September 2022 2:33
Very organized, many signs and friendly staff. Mainly just a u-pick and winery with a market. We came for the waffles and they were amazing. Bought a lot of fruit and the berry custard pie, so yummy! Not a lot of extra for kids or things to see but still a good time
07 September 2022 4:17
Waited 45 mins at the concession to just to get served cold corn pizza. You would expect the pizza to be amazing considering it’s $8 per slice which is a gouge. The market didn’t have much selection as it seems like the home decor has taken over. They mostly just had $21 pies and everything else was in the freezer. Yogurt parfait was really good but was still $7. This place used to be great but now not so much. Just feels like a tourist trap now.
01 September 2022 7:30
This morning I took the kids to pick fresh berry at Krause berry farms and I was great. The staff was really helpful and happy to answer questions. Price started at $5 a basket. You pay for the basket then pick your berry and then head home. There's no extra charge for the weight of the berries.
28 August 2022 19:33
It was a great experience. I was expecting to pick other kinds of berries but they only had the blueberries at the time. I'm still glad that we went because it was so much fun. There's enough fruits for everyone to pick. Their market has also lots of selections. From frozen berries to pies and other recepies to kitchen accessories and garden. Their staff were also amazing. Thanks for the amazing experince. Hope to be back again.
25 August 2022 16:40
I was so incredibly disappointed with our trip to Krause today. Our family has been loyal Krause visitors for over a decade and that is now over. Their changes around u-pick (requires to pre-pay was not my favorite but requiring that each person in our family have their own paid basket was ridiculous!), making me pay extra for vinegar on my farm fries, and the huge price increases on many of their bakery and Cafe items felt like absolute gouging. I'm so sad because we have celebrated multiple wedding anniversaries here, our kids have sat on Santa's lap here.it's been a huge part of our family's life for so long and they wrecked it by making it so commercial and tourist-trap-y that we won't be back. We had been proud of them for their growth and savvy as a farm business over the years, watching them grow and change and adapt, but it always felt like it focused on the customer experience coming first, and now it feels like it has switched big time to being about boosting their profits and being greedy. I get that there is inflation and a recession and all that, but this was well beyond all of that. It's so sad.
12 August 2022 1:32
Came here for waffles. Long line which is expected. The challenge was we came with a family of 4 and the person at the counter rang in only one waffle. So after another 25 min wait for a single waffle they couldn’t even comprehend a corrective measure and how to help deal with the challenge of only having one waffle to feed a family. Where is someone’s head when they ring in one waffle for a whole family. Unbelievable ….
21 December 2021 17:14
Great selection of grocery that is very fresh. The waffles were great. Very family friendly area, we came in Oct so the pumpkin patch was in full swing.
21 December 2021 7:15
A great farm with a u-pick option. The market had lots of fruit products and fresh baked goods too. We had a great fresh blueberry waffle when blueberries were in season. Lots of patio and covered space to eat on-site. The winery offered a good selection of wines and you could do a flight tasting too. And the winery had fun saddle seating!
10 December 2021 8:47
This place is so warming. My boyfriend took me here and I have to say he did not pick the wrong place. I would definitely go back the next long weekend.
01 December 2021 10:18
This is a great place to visit and I would recommend to all age. There are lots to eat, drink and enjoy for the whole family. Waffles with fresh berries were delicious and promptly made to order. I also love their oak-aged apple wine.
27 November 2021 21:30
My first and only time ever going there was a wonderful experience. Too bad I can never go back because they discriminate against people that do not have vaccinations. The owner / manager was also a little rude.
23 November 2021 9:08
Thank you to the kind staff at Krause Berry Farm. A friendly staff member took the time today to show my 3 year old all the neat pumpkins! Thank you Cal for taking time out of your day to show off the lovely pumpkins and chat with my daughter. So kind! You made our day! Oh and the waffles were delicious as always!
13 November 2021 14:19
Great place to visit for berry picking and they have variety selections of their products. Food are amazing and the atmosphere are very nice.
Try to come early so you don't missed out on their famous fresh berry custard pie.
12 November 2021 20:35
There’s plenty to do here! Great place to spend your day with friends and family. I spent my time here doing a bit of everything from berry picking, eating waffles and wine tasting. They also have a market where you can buy fresh bake goods, ice cream and lots more! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.
09 November 2021 2:53
I have been buying pies (especially the custard) for years. A family run business that is bonus to this community. Excellent quality and the staff are friendly and helpful.
03 November 2021 16:50
We had a pleasant weekend visit with the family. Great waffles, live music for children. Happy to see everyone having a good time. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy the food, nice farm market for produce, fruit, preserves and handicrafts. Winey tasting and service was also very good.
31 October 2021 15:47
Nice place to get waffles - the waffles are definitely worth the wait! One thing that dampened our trip; we brought our dog and she wasn't allowed to be anywhere on the premises! A worker approached me and explained since there is food around it is unsanitary and they only allow service dogs on the premises - okay so I said "oh darn, well I will just put her in the car then. " And went to put her in the car, when the worker kept telling me I shouldn't because they will get complaints. I said "Well, its 22 degrees, you won't let her be with me, I drove an hour to get here, and you won't let me put her in my own car? " Just letting her know its the only option I have and giving her the chance to think it through, but she constantly said as I was leaving to put the dog in the car, "you shouldn't put her in the car. " I did because its the only other option! As a business, if you don't recommend putting my dog in the car and I can't bring her along with me, have another option! Either a small area that us dog friendly or something. To sum it up, don't bring your dog.
18 October 2021 6:41
It was my husband's and mine's first visit here to try out the waffles and maybe even buy a few things. We arrived at the lineup for waffles at 9: 45 am, made our order for two waffles (one gluten free) at 10: 00 am, and we stood in another line until we heard my husband's name being called for our order at 10: 35 am. So, that was approximately an hour of waiting for two waffles!

HOWEVER, when my husband and I managed to find a place to sit down, we discovered there was no indication that one of the waffles was gluten free and they both looked exactly the same. We took a closer look at the receipt they gave to us. And it was the wrong order! Under the name of someone who has the same first name as my husband.

They also had a live band playing right where the waffle bar was, and so the girls who were calling out people's first names for their orders could barely be heard. And people were really pushy and were crowding around where people pick up the waffles. We saw one family order their waffle 15 mins after us and get theirs before us.

So, I took the two waffles we had thought were ours back, had to wait in line again, and managed to semi-yell over the music that we were given two regular waffles when we needed a gluten free one.

I had to wait another 10 mins for my waffle. By the time I returned to the table to my husband, his waffles were cold and we were pretty upset at the LONG wait for two waffles. In my opinion it wasn't worth it and we decided not to buy anything else. The set up they have there is vulnerable to mistakes like this happening. They should have a number system so no one has to yell over the music. Also, the waffles were good but I don't think there wait over an hour good.
17 October 2021 13:06
If you haven't come here for their waffles with fresh fruit, then you're missing out. There's also fruit wine sold on site as well as a nice market that carries fresh fruit, vegetables and pies as well as frozen versions of everything. The prices are so so, but it's still a great place to visit.
12 October 2021 23:39
Disappointed with the purchase. Initially they looked great. Bought a large box of strawberries and only the top were good. At the bottom were moldy and bad. Had similar experience with 2 boxes of blackberries that I bought and only the top ones were good. Also purchased a box of nectarines and peaches and were not that good. The only good experience hopefully is the bucket of ice cream which haven’t open. I think it’s gotta be the end of the season for all these fruits to not be good. At least don’t sell them. $50 gone to waste. Wasted also 50 minutes for the drive. Disspointed.
12 October 2021 3:19
We specifically asked the staff if the plums are red/purple inside. They said yes but they are not they are light yellow inside.

They are also forcing people to wear a mask inside the market and this is no longer a mandatory requirement in BC.
11 October 2021 3:13
The portion of the ice cream is so small that it's below the top of the waffle cone. Not even enough for a small child, and for $7.50, I would expect a bit more.it would be nice to be kind to seniors and children because that is what I would do.
05 October 2021 10:12
This review is for the waffle stand. I've been to Krause Berry Farms 3-4 times over the last few years and every time I'm disappointed by the wait and service at the waffle stand. Our visit in August 2021 was the last straw and I finally had to leave a review. We arrived on a Sunday morning shortly after the waffle stand opened. There were about 15 families ahead of us. It took over 45 minutes to order and receive our waffles. Krause Farms was only selling waffles with blueberry toppings that day and had 7 kids working behind the counter so it blows my mind that it took that long. The kids making the waffles were standing around and chatting. Even though they have about 15 waffle irons, the kids were only using 5-6 of them at any given time. Even though each kid had a station on the waffle making line, none of them seemed to hustle even though the line was getting longer. The young staff could really use some adult supervision. I've never seen anyone who looked older than 20 on the waffle line. The fresh fruit on the waffle is nice but the waffle itself is a glorified DIY hotel waffle that Krause Berry charges $13 for. I'm all for a leisurely morning breakfast but it's painful to watch these inefficient kids behind the counter struggle to make the same waffle over-and-over at such a slow pace. As I said, this is not the first time we've experienced this kind of wait at the Krause waffle line. I'd always chalked it up to it being early in the season or a new staff but after 4 visits of the same slowness, I think these kids know they can get away with slow service.

What a lovely day out! Live music, who even busted out a round of Old McDonald for the kids followed by some Fleetwood Mac. The waffles with blueberry syrup where delicious and we were seduced by a giant bag of blackberries! Not to mention the winery too. What a wonderful morning!
29 September 2021 22:50
Me and my boyfriend were super excited blueberry picking today and were planning to pick only the $20 bucket which was 4L worth of blueberries. However we were told that each and every person that picks berries must purchase their own bucket! Which was irritating. There was a family in front of us that were so excited to berry pick but due to how costly it was gonna be to purchase a bucket for each and every person in their family they were only able to get a few of their family members to enjoy the fun of picking berries. I feel this isn't fair at all and every single person should enjoy the experience of berry picking!
Blueberries are delicious but be sure to bring a big wallet!
29 September 2021 10:05
Lovely. I didn't know that I will have fun in picking berries. It's my wife who had an idea to go there without any plan. At first I disagree because we have a 2yr old daughter. I'm concerned that she might not enjoy it. But when we get into the place, I was kind of surprised to see lots of people there. The farm is complete with waffles and wines to taste. And a small playground for little ones. A porch and patios with tables and chairs. Its really a place where a family would enjoy plus you are surrounded by wide fields with a lot of berries to enjoy picking up. It was a very pleasant and wholesome place to go. I would definitely recommend this place with my friends.

Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery is 45 minutes drive from downtown, Vancouver. Its a family farm working since 1974 in Langley, BC.

️ The options:
U-Pick Berry Fields
Market
Waffle Bar (only Saturdays & Sundays)
Estate Winery
Bakery
Summer Drive In Waffle Field
Summer Drive Thru Berry Service Open Year Round with Seasonal Hours

? Waffle is what Krause Farms is well known for in the summer. Line-up is always there unless you are lucky enough.
The menu is limited to one type of Waffle (with strawberry, but changes depending on the season), coffee, & tea.
You can ask for Coconut cream.

There are roofed & open sitting areas to enjoy the waffle and nice weather.
In summer, you can also enjoy the live music.

The Market is really eye-catching with many low-sweet cakes. You can buy various goods like sweets, bread, glasses, dishes, jams, & even décoratives.

The Porch is open daily for pizza, fries, shortcakes, milkshakes & pie.

They have 30 different wines & you can test different cocktails and wines.

The waffle’s taste was not perfect, yet the experience was unique.

Enjoy!

They have gluten free waffles! They have a separate cooking station for the gluten free waffles with their own dedicated waffle makers. Also, if you are celiac they will make a note on the order as well. Btw it was delicious and we will be definitely going back for more!
17 September 2021 15:28
First time coming here! This farm is so cute and has so many family friendly activities to do. The waffles were delicious, I do wish they had a few options for the fruit they use. I would have really loved to try the strawberry waffles! But unfortunately they only do the fruit of the day for what type of waffle you receive. The wine flights were also delicious and reasonably priced! The parking lot has lots of space and is easy to find. It is a dirt road so for wheel chairs it might be a bit difficult in the parking lot to get to the main farm area. The singer was amazing and created such a lovely fun vibe. Everyone was very friendly here, if you want a cute day out I would highly recommend checking this beautiful farm out!
15 September 2021 15:15
It’s very famous farm for U-pick in great Vancouver area.
Their strawberry is super yummy, but compared with other place, the size is so small.
Also you can enjoy your comfort food here with wine. You can do wine tastings as well
15 September 2021 1:43
UPick - really great selection when we went. Easy to find plenty of large berries.
Mixed feelings about riding a shuttle to the actual blueberry field.

Fresh custard Pies - recommended. We ate ours right away. Waffle is ok/decent. You can skip this if you are picking between pies or waffles.

Main complaint: No proper bathroom facilities!
my family do not like porta potties no matter how clean they appear.
14 September 2021 5:56
Their strawberry waffle is better than anything you can find at Wh*t*Sp*t or IH*P. Their daily waffle offering may change so be sure to check their website if you have a preference on the flavour. In the Fall they may have pumpkin waffle with apple on top. No matter what the flavour is, I am sure the only use fresh picked fruit. I gotta say I love their whipped cream. My friend said the whipped cream topping was the best she has ever had. Light and vanilla-flavoured.
03 September 2021 15:00
Excellent farm. Great food and activities for kids.
Went August 2021: they still required adults to wear masks in the Market area - most other stores don't require masks at this time.
Many activities were not available on the particular Friday we went, but it seemed like they were open most days.

Our most favourite things there are the fresh waffles they make on the spot (killer syrup, fresh berries and whipping cream). We also like the corn roasted pizza.

Things seem a bit pricey overall, but it is a nice treat for the family!
31 August 2021 22:43
Very cute place! The waffle was delicious! Lots of blueberries! Also had the wine slushies, u get to choose your own fruit wine to add to the slushies, very unique! Picked up few baskets of fruits and pies! Definitely worth a visit

Went with my family twice this summer, the first occasion we went to do u-pick strawberries in early summer. One 4 litre basket for the whole family and we had a great 20 minutes or so picking. We come back today and they demand that each family member buys a basket to do u-pick. No thanks, the small baskets are a rip off as you can’t fill them nearly as full and we aren’t paying $20 each to do this. Little inconsistencies like this are a huge turn off. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, back when they had horses running around in the fenced off area and the small market was all that existed. Likely won’t be coming back as this seems to cater to tourists now, they even charge $3 for a mask if you forget yours. Sad to see
