We ordered lechon belly for our wedding on October 27th. The food was delivered on time, fresh, and crispy. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was. Moreover, the lady we spoke to on the phone while placing the order was very polite.

Kulinarya has such a warm atmosphere, that if you’re missing home back in the Philippines or looking for a restaurant to make you feel at home, this place is it. The interior has that cozy feeling you get from family run restaurants. It’s also perfect for friends and family because of their large variety of sharing plates! I went here with my boyfriend and we loved the adobo, lechon kawali and the garlic fried rice - the lechon kawali was the best! (Along with a san miguel of course) I can’t wait to return and try the other dishes! Thank you also to the kind staff that made our experience just so lovely.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Kulinarya, a Filipino restaurant nestled in Vancouver, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat, and I wasn't disappointed.

The star of the show for me was the Kare-Kare. This traditional Filipino beef with peanut sauce was a revelation. The rich, creamy peanut sauce was perfectly balanced, and the meat practically melted in my mouth. The addition of vegetables and bagoong (fermented shrimp paste) elevated the dish to another level. It's a must-try for anyone looking to savor authentic Filipino flavors.

The Pork BBQ was another standout dish. The skewered and grilled pork was incredibly flavorful and had just the right amount of smokiness. The marinade was spot on!

The Pancit, a classic Filipino noodle dish, was a great addition to our meal as well!

The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

Definitely one of our favorite Filipino restaurants in Vancouver! As a matter of fact, our food from our wedding reception back in 2021 was from Kulinarya. Ms. Rose was very accommodating! We fell in love with their food when we first tried them! Our favorites are their silog dishes, kaldereta, sisig, pork bbq, and their fresh lumpia wrapped in pandan crepe!

Their commercial branch really gives this Filipino home vibes!

Kulinarya is an absolute must-visit! We immersed ourselves in a remarkable array of Filipino dishes, each packed with flavors that were as authentic as they were delicious. Our utmost appreciation goes to Jessica, Roy, and the remarkable team whose names we may not have captured, but whose excellent service made a profound impact.

Our culinary journey began with the Ginataang Kalabasa, a hearty dish of perfectly cooked squash immersed in creamy coconut milk, and Fried Daing na Bangus, milkfish marinated in vinegar and garlic, then fried to a tantalizing golden crisp. The vegetables throughout our meal were fresh and perfectly cooked, adding a tangible 'farm to table' quality to each dish.

We also savored the Lechon Kawali and Kare-kare, a combination of crispy pork belly and creamy peanut sauce, and the national dish, Chicken Adobo, featuring succulent chicken simmered in a blend of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and spices. Our gastronomic exploration continued with Beef Kaldereta, a comforting beef stew mingling with liver paste, bell peppers, and a tomato sauce, and the tangy Sinigang Pork, a soup bursting with pork, tamarind, and a vibrant medley of fresh vegetables.

Next was the Pancit Bihon, a delightful creation of rice noodles, vegetables, and chicken, followed by Fresh Lumpia, light spring rolls filled with sweet and savory ingredients. Our journey culminated with the cooling Halo halo dessert, the perfect end to our meal which showcased fish, chicken, pork, and beef proteins in a truly authentic Filipino culinary tradition.

The authentic and farm-to-table approach of this exceptional restaurant adds a touch of freshness that is unique to Kulinarya. Five stars all the way- thank you for making our visit so special.

I am from New York City and just moved to Vancouver in the last year. Kulinarya is among the best meals I have had in Vancouver and NYC. The service is excellent and the food is some of most flavorful, delicious, and interesting I have had in many years. It was a delightful and delicious experience and was a pleasure to experience this authentic food from Filipino culture.

The Kaldereta and garlic rice were very delicious. I also enjoyed the Pancit Canton, which was large enough to share. It tasted very authentic to the Pancit I've had in the Philippines. Overall great meal and experience!

We are so glad we found this Filipino restaurant! This is the first time I’m having Filipino dishes and everything tastes sooo good! I love the crispy pata which is the crispy pork, however I strongly recommend ordering another main course because after a few bites it can get a bit plain. The garlic rice is our favorite we can have a bowl of it without main course ahaha
Overall, 10/10 restaurant, will definitely come back again! (Reservations is recommended)

Very delicious Filipino Food. Excellent service. There is some ambience to this location. I would definitely recommend this place. The Pork Sinigang was interesting and enjoyable with the Lemongrass flavour. It could use more veggies in it. Nice and sour just the way I like it. The Lumpiang Shanghai was delicious. The Laing is the best I ever had. The Pork Sisig was fantastic. I still prefer pork cheeks as it's more crunchy. All in all, they won us over. We'll be back for the Boodle Fight one day with lots more company.

We loved the food. They were even gracious enough to give us a dollar for parking. I will come back with more people in tow!

We went here for my birthday to try their boodle (kamayan feast) food. There were 3 of us and we were so satisfied with their food. We reserved for 3 people but the amount of the food can feed 3 more people. The staffs were kind and accommodating and the food taste like home. After we have a good experience with them, we keep on coming back to Kulinarya. Their laing, pork BBQ are our faves. They also have option for vegan and vegetarian. I recommend Kulinarya for those who want to try authentic Filipino cuisine.

Beef Stew is great for a tomato lover with meat that is nicely tendered. Batil Patong noodles seem Thai inspired with some vinegar, the pork belly in it was crispy and wonderful!

Favourite dish was the kare kare, a sweet peanutty curry. I wish we knew how much rice was included in the feast because we would have asked for it to be halved. Otherwise, a fun way to try lots of dishes.

Amazing staff and food is incredibly well made. Perfect balance between multiple ingredients and flavours without either overpowering another. Meats were well executed, with both texture and moisture on point. Will definitely come back in the future

Great restaurant to eat and experience Filipino food. The staff was a little overwhelmed so wait times were a little longer but it appears they are just short staffed but once you get their attention they were very nice. The food is delicious, our favorite was the Sisig, Kaldereta, and Bangus. For drinks the Mango Mojito is a must try.

An absolute gem on commercial drive. They accommodated our large group and we dined indoors. We decided to share a couple of plates and were not disappointed by the delicious Filipino food. Everything was SO tasty.

1. Deep fried spring rolls. Crispy, hot, filled with ground pork and vegetables.
2. Pancit. Classic noodle dish.
3. Inihaw na pusit. Grilled squid stuffed with veggies.
4. Kare-kare. We got it with beef. The beef was so tender and it paired perfectly with the vegetables and thick savoury peanut sauce. YOU MUST TRY THIS.
5. Crispy pata. Wow. Twice cooked pork left served with house made soy and vinegar dipping sauce. So crispy. So good. MUST TRY.
6. House sinigang. Did not picture because we devoured it. A tamarind sour soup with veggies and pork.
7. Garlic rice. Also did not picture because we devoured it. It was so good we ordered TWO. YOU MUST ORDER THIS AND EAT IT WITH THE KARE KARE AND ALL THE DELICIOUS MEAT. You will not regret it.

Anyways. Delicious. Amazing. Great service. We will be back for the kamayan feast.

Delicious food! The seafood kare-kare and garlic rice were good sized portions. Timing of the food could have been a bit better.

I've eaten here often and ordered take-out as well. One of my favourite restaurants in the city, (and one of my top two Filipino restaurants in Van) it's so cute inside too. The vibes? Immaculate. The food? Always delicious!

My mom and I went there for lunch and I got my meal like a half hourish later but they forgot about my mom’s meal it was taking way too long the egg rolls are burned and they were raw in the middle.

A quiet little cafe serving traditional Filipino and Filipino-Canadian fare. The prices are fair and there is a decent selection to suit any sort of appetite. While I enjoyed the flavors, the pork belly and chicken I had were a bit too dry for my liking. I also had a stir-fry noodle dish and a curry, which were also decent. Definitely worth a return trip to try the other dishes and to see if they just had an off day with the chicken and pork.

Overpriced and nothing special. The Caldereta was very ordinary, tasted closer to a Mamasita mix rather than authentic. BBQ was something I could have easily made myself and I’m no cook. Place was catered more to westerners I’d say over Filipinos. Decent ambiance but I’d rather eat in a place with white plastic chairs and have more authentic food. Don’t recommend.

An excellent experience! The vibe was fun and colorful and the drinks were special and fun. Overall, the food was great and portions were huge! Really flavorful and interesting. The service was great and our waitress was lovely. But most importantly, the food was delicious. We had two drinks, a started and two mains. $75 and took home leftovers.

The food was amazing. My gf said the food reminded her of home. The portion size was very big! And everything tasted great. Luckily they gave us some to go containers for the leftovers.

Will come back and next time try dessert.

First time ordering take out from here and my mind is blown! The food is so amazing! I love everything I ordered and definitely want to come back to dine in with the banana leaf set up and everything! Highly recommended!

The food is ok I guess but it's over priced for what it is. I've eaten here a few times and it's been a meh experience. The vegetables in the sinigang we're inconsistent, some were overcooked and others were undercooked. The adobo had way too much potatoes in it. I'll try one more time though and will update this review according.

This restaurant gives excellent service and delightful food. One of my favourite restaurants around here. The meals arrived fast and the prices were inexpensive. Will definitely recommend this place.

Had my first spring halo halo yesterday- yummy!

Came here three times. On the last time waiter brought wrong dish and didnt fix it when i asked about it. When I complained the waiter said she would ask about it and she just stood there staring at me. I was late for work so I had to pay and eat it anyways. Decent food. Terrible service. The waiter seemed to make it like it was my fault and didnt acknowlege the fact that I was unhapy unitil I started eating the wrong order. This was a terrible experience and last time I will be here.

Wow amazing. Service was excellent food choices were fantastic. The food - just like Lola made it! Food portions are family style but They also have single serve dishes as well. They have a good selection of filipino desserts and they even have San Miguel Beer! Covid19 is health practices in place so dine in option was great. Prices are competative but worth every penny. What a great find on the Drive!

This place is a wonderful Filipino restaurant that has amazing food and fabulous service. They carry many traditional dishes like Crispy Pata, Kare-Kare, Tocilog, Adobo & more, along with some cocktails and the popular boodle fight! The vibe inside the restaurant is great and I especially like the small outdoor seating as well. They have a second location in Coquitlam (a tinier place) and you can find the same great dishes there too!

We are long-term Kulinarya foodies and for the first time dined-in their Commercial Drive location. We were craving the “laing”, but the server said they ran out. The owner Rose heard the server (and our disappointment), so she quickly said “We have it. I’ll make it now! ” Rose saved the day and satisfied our cravings! Thank you for the wonderful service and food!

Very unique dining experience! The food was laid out onto a long table for us to share. No plates but utensils are provided. We ended up eating with our hands because it was easier. Overall, the food is good but it was a bit cold by the time we were seated and started eating. Otherwise, the staff were so nice. They surprised my friend for her birthday with a special dessert!

The warm and welcoming atmosphere in this restaurant is very charming! The meat dishes are amazing and there are a number of delicious vegetarian/vegan dishes as well. So happy to have found this gem! The staff are also just the sweetest ️️️

We were staying in YVR for a week and family was craving for Filipino food, this place sure satisfied our cravings. Place was cozy even with Covid protocol in place.
