Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Richmond - West

Having been a student at kumon for 11 years it has helped me become a better student at school and lessened the difficulty of learning as it gave me a good foundation of math. The teachers are patient and kind.

As a student who has taken kumon for many years, I can confidently said it has definitely made a tremendous impact on my grades. Not only did it dramatically improved my calculations skills, it really taught me the necessary critical thinking and self teaching skills. Now that I am in university of British Columbia majoring in business and computer science, I can say with absolute certainty that the skills kumon has equipped me with have assisted me far more than I could have ever imagined. Without kumon, I wouldn’t have the necessary skills to achieve the same success or take on the same endeavors that I do today. Ultimately, I would like to thank the kind and experienced teachers at west Richmond kumon for guiding me all these years. I would highly recommend other students who are either struggling in school or wishes to get a ahead start to attend kumon.

Kumon at Richmond-West has been terrific. Led by Ann, both my kids are now going through the program. This particular location is great with two available days for the centre to be open to the students to drop in (others are only one day per week). There are lots of students and teachers here at this centre who are ready to help the kids as needed. I'd definitely recommend this Richmond-West location.

My child has been studying math here for almost a year and is progressing very fast. In particular, Kumon's education model makes children more independent and persistent. Thank you very much to the directors and teachers of the institution

As a student who was at Kumon for 6 years, it has really helped me in improving my mathematic skills. It helps me in school because I understand higher grade concepts, and it helped me with fully understanding basics in math (e.g. Addition, subtraction, etc.) The staff here are very friendly and helped me with questions I didn’t understand. Overall, Kumon has been very helpful with my education and has helped my understanding in math.

I have sent my 2 kids to this kumon centre for a year! Teachers are friendly and very helpful. I can definitely see a great improvement on my daughter and my son. With a significant improvement on my daughter’s math, I have also registered their Geometry and Word Problems class for my daughter who is in Gr4. Their enriched math program has further enhanced her math skills and I was actually surprised that my daughter got the certificate of distinction (ranked top 25%) on the Beaver Computing Challenge Gr5/6 from University of Waterloo last November.
As for my 4 years old son, he started from simple pencil tracing, counting from 1 to 100, and now doing simple single digit addition. He is also working hard on his phonics and trying to read simple sentence on his own. My son loves going to Kumon and I am so happy to see the great result in such an early age. I feel confident that my son will do well when he starts Kindergarten.

The teachers at this centre were especially helpful and enthusiastic throughout my learning experience. They made learning at kumon less stressful and more fun!

As a student, I have been here for 4 years, I am now grade 8 and the way it has helped me is knowing everything ahead of time in my math class. The experience in this centre is very good when a student is having problems they help understand very well.

As a grade 9 student in school currently doing Kumon, I am doing Level K math. I’ve been studying at Kumon for 2 years now, having transferred to this centre since a year ago. The Kumon Learning program has helped me get ahead of my grade in school, and the teachers here are all willing to help whenever I don’t understand a concept.

I have been a student here for 10 years, and Kumon has helped me a lot in school with multiplication, division and fractions. I am ahead of my grade level, and it’s made math a lot easier for me.

Highly recommend to enroll here asap. We’ve tried teaching my kid by all different professional methods over the years with no success. And just 4 months at this place, he’s completely transformed. This place has great staff, flexible timings and ample space to accommodate everybody. As a parent, they are a true blessing if you wish for your child to learn and do well academically.
