Food quality is really good. I am hong kongese and this restaurant is one of the best and most authentic cantonese cuisine in Vancouver.

I come here to eat almost every month. Except for the fermented fermented water spinach, which is a bit salty, the other dishes are great. I recommend the lobster pot!
Dessert taro sago is cheap and delicious, better than milk tea shop!

Ordered take out 1: wonton noodle soup & 2: bbq pork and shrimp fried rice. 3: Honey Garlic Spareribs, 4: Seafood Chowmein. All were really bad and off. The food were old and had gone off. I experienced extreme food poisoning a few hours after. I called back and told the hostess that the food was off. She responded that it was made today and it’s supposed to taste like that. And she will talk to the chef to verify and call back to give the credit. But she never called back. Avoid this place, if you don’t want food poisoning. There are lots of better quality Chinese restaurants in Vancouver that are fresh and not old & spoiled. Dynasty on West Broadway and Congee Noodle Delight in International Mall is always safe and good.

Classic Cantonese diner with all the regular staples. Delicious food at a reasonable price. Love the salty and spicy menu items. Wonton noodles are great. The decor is a bit run down but as long as the food is good I will continue to go there.

The food quality is not very good. Ordered a dish with squid and pineapple. The squid isn't flavorful, and the pineapple is from those pineapple cans.

Horrible experience last night March 23,2023. Ordered 4 things from the menu. 3 out of the 4 dishes were wrong and one did not come. My gf wanted to tip them - I refused.

Imagine tipping 10-15% for the wrong food and haphazard service. Their only offer to me was 'dessert' - to which I also refused.

The auntie who took my order could have double checked our order if she wasn't sure. Instead, she shrugged, called it day, and put the order in anyways.

Food is good. Though their lack of competence will deter me in future. I will look for another place to eat.

I will also lecture my gf in the concept of 'tipping' and how incompetent waiters/waitresses deserve none.

I don't understand how congee is $29.50, even if its a " large"
Disappointed and went somewhere else, its not inline with other restaurants

Uber eats delivery - DELICIOUS congee. Preserved egg/pork & chinese mushroom/chicken. Comes with peanuts and green onions, well worth the price!

Been coming to this restaurant for late night Congee and Chow Mein for years now. It's been consistent everytime, atleast for the limited things I usually order. The noodles actually have a distinct taste that is unique to this restaurant that I do enjoy.

The lady who took my payment GRABBED MY FRIENDS ARM as we were leaving and said “she didn’t tip me enough”. I would never ever not leave a tip, she was being GREEDY and UNPROFESSIONAL. Intimidation and assault is not the way to get more money out of someone! I will NEVER return to is place and I suggest you don’t either!

Ordered dice chicken with cashew. It was hard to find the chicken dices as there were so few.

This is your classic hole in the wall Chinese restaurant that's makes up for the wait on their food with delivering a solid 10/10 on their food piping hot and delicious.

Really slow service. Also online menu prices are higher than in-dining.

There are better places than here

Their congee is very good! Their other dishes are not the greatest though. Very good value.

We visited Kwong Chow a few weeks ago and overall, the food was tasty and price was very fair (especially the lunch special menu). We ordered fish congee, stir fried pea tips, and chow-mein with spare ribs in black bean sauce. Service was fast though not exactly friendly, though that's to be expected from a place like this. Will definitely visit again!

Lady at cash register was very rude because I left her a small tip due to the poor service. Waitress never stopped by at table to check up nor refill tea. Only myself and another couple in the restaurant at the time. Food is overpriced. Will not go back.

Old school late night Canto restaurant. Fantastic eats. Extensive menu. Congee is the best in town. Nothing fancy, just good eats

Picked up some congee for my sick girlfriend. Food here is always very good as is the service.

We've come on multiple occasions and had various items on their menu. They are an established Cantonese food institution in the city. Granted, you don't come here for the decor, service or ambiance. It's straight up about the food and food options - the more than 100 items on the menu (!)

Most recently, we ordered simple items including a custard vegetable tofu and pork soup, along with bean curd tong choi and preserved vegetables with pork belly. The meat dish definitely ran on the salty side so best to accompany with a bowl of rice. The tofu and pork soup is hearty but the tong choi was a bit sad looking and salty too.

They gave free dessert which was really enjoyable - they happen to serve tapioca soup one evening which was very silky.

The diced fish ball was disappointing - the sauce was just soy with green onion and ginger strips inside. There was real dice fish taste but the dish was a bit plain.

Will return for the variety and pricing which is quite reasonable. If you look at the wall when you first enter the restaurant, they have had a number of Hong Kong celebrities and stars visited them in the past.
