Kypriaki Mediterranean Grill

Food was flavourful, one rude male server was ok at first but then lectured about tipping. And told me “in Canada we tip a certain percentage of the dinner” and addressed me like i just flew in from a different country, which was completely offensive since me and my partner do not look western. Absolutely ridiculous, it was optional and I usually tip but didn’t tonight. Wasn’t expecting to be questioned and lectured about it…. Won’t be coming back here, and beef sirloin was rare basically when we ordered medium rare

The Souvlaki is top notch in the whole North Shore! Beef souvlaki was so tender and yummy. I ordered through Uber Eats tonight, and my order was delivered by one of their staff who was a super nice gentleman.

Great atmosphere, and having grown up in Athens, I can say the food is authentic. The food was also well prepared. However, the serving sizes are 70% of what you might expect for the price.
The serving staff were very friendly, but they were very short handed (1.5 people, so unavailable and needed reminders). The same staff were bussing, which was a bit sloppy.
In the end, waiter dropped complimentary candies on floor, picked them up and then put them on my bill. Sigh: (

This place is always consistent, portions are big and the service is great! Highly recommend.

Ordered for the first time a moussaka… for $17 you get the equivalent of two tea spoon of it. I’m very disappointed! The bow was filled with rice and half of a big potato… sorry but it’s not what I expect when I order a moussaka… in fact I really feel dumbed. Any they won’t see me again.

We ordered the take out. The order was Roast lamb for four meal deal. Every item of the food great except hummus. We all found the hummus to have too much of Raw Garlic taste. If they roast the garlic a bit before mixing it with hummus would be the best. Altogether very good experience.

Fantastic location, easy parking, one of the last non chain authentic tasting Greek places it seems like. I drive from Port moody to come here! Gorgeous pathos all over the place. Their white wine menu is delicious. Huge party of 12+ all comfortably fit

It was a nice place to have Christmas party there. Although, it was full of people attending the party but service was great. The seating area is nicely organized where the bar on one side and the seating area on other side. Decorations are great. Parking is limited but it’s easy to find a parking nearby. Food is great especially calamari and chicken souvlaki. You will like it.

Chicken Souvlaki was perfect, best humous in a long time. Service was just right. We will be back.

One of the most delicious meals we've had in a while. Authentic, well prepared and flavourful dishes - like melt-in-the-mouth calamari, yummy spanakopita, good moussaka and souvlaki. Delicious bougatsa for dessert. Will definitely go back!

I had the platter which was so delicious and my server Joe was very friendly, nice and fast service. This is my new favorite place and I will be coming here more often

I've had two great experiences with Kypriaki on two great visits, so I'm going to recommend them non-stop.

First, I ordered takeout just before closing.and then traffic made me late. However, with a quick call to say I was still on my way, they were super friendly, very helpful, and the food was brought to me very warm.

Second time now was dining in, and that was also excellent. The menu wasn't huge but each item is worked beautifully. We had a 2 person platter that filled us right up and have us leftovers. I liked everything but the meat moussaka was exceptional. The cinnamon in there helped excel the flavour and all the ingredients brought more to the dish.

The only stumbling point could have been the pistachio ice cream. It was good, but there was a strong rosewater taste to it. Now, if you're ready for that taste in there it can be quite nice - but we were not expecting it, so it was a bit of a surprise.

All in all we liked the restaurant, loved the food and really appreciated the service we got. There's more to check out on the menu so we'll head back soon.

Everything on the platter was delicious but Moussaka was exceptionally good. Easily the best Greek food in Vancouver. Our server was friendly and funny, the whole experience was enjoyable, looking forward to come back.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the experience others have spoken of. We were surprised to find that the chicken souvlaki (three of us all had it and it was all the same) was very rubbery, and we actually found a piece of rubber or plastic in our tarama (yes, really). The salads were clearly old and wilted with soggy tomatoes. I emailed the restaurant to let them know about our experience and we never heard anything back. It’s now been several weeks. We love supporting North Van businesses but sadly this experience was not a good one.

Didn't eat there for about 4 years since we moved out of BC. Went there today with some good friends and it was just like I remembered. Thanks Kypriaki, will always be one of my favorites!

Love, love, love it. The BEST Greek food. I travel from Coquitlam to go to Kypriaki for their amazing food and great service. I wish they were closer to me. Mmmmmmm my fav.

I always eat too much here. And the sangria is excellent. Omg the mushroom appetizer! The moussaka! I wish I was there right now.

I've been here before and the food was good. Unfortunately I picked some food up on the way home from work the other night. I ordered chicken souvlaki dinner as well as a side of hummus. The chicken was very dry and the hummus was very bland. I was so disappointed because I had been craving Greek food all day.

The chicken souvlakia was great! Lunch menu is fairly well priced.

The veg moussaka was flavorful, but the eggplant was not as soft as it should be. However the sides were absolutely superb. Lemon potato, rice, small salad and the taziki sauce along with a disc of Greek bread were all delicious. Excluding ambiance, charming decoration and superb service made it a good meal.

Comfy, great service, tasty food, good prices, nice atmosphere, accommodates persons with disabilities, even has a wheelchair accessible washroom!

The food was good but not spectacular, the design of the restaurant is amazing but if you want great Greek food go to Anatolia.

I ordered delivery of a beef souvlaki and a pepsi. It arrived over an hour later, stone cold and without the drink. Not realizing the situation, I paid the driver and he left. When I called the store, I asked for the driver to come back but instead, they just kept saying they'd call me back. This went on for another half hour with them not calling me so I ended up driving the unopened food to the store for a refund. They tried to say that they were understaffed (why that matters, I don't know). The restaurant was completely empty. Treating customers this way is rude and unacceptable. I guess that's why the place is a ghost town. I won't be going back, that's for damn sure!

If you like authentic Greek dining then this is a great place to go. We ordered the roast lamb for 4 which is great value. Plus there was enough left over for lunch the next day.

We always enjoy coming to Kypriaki! The staff and food are great and the Kypriaki Past is to die for!

I went to this restaurant in 1996-1998 when it was next door in the old building the food was great, I recently made a visit next door at the new location but the food wasn't that great had a funny taste and smell to it, very disappointed, the place could be cleaner.

Nice new location with some pretty good roast lamb. Today's visit, however, we were served a fried calamari which was strangely undercooked with a soggy coating that was not golden but it tasted fine although soggy and a bit floury. You can compare my photos of an earlier visit. The nice golden ones are noticably different. Not their regular light and crispy golden brown. They did apologize. The roast lamb for four was excellent and nicely seasoned, but the hummus seemed a bit rough and watery tasting.
