An excellent place to eat poutine. They have many options for all tastes and the service was so great! Totally recommended!

Me and my family went to La Belle Patate as we were in town for a few days and wanted to try Poutine in Canada. From when we walked in the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. After deciding what we wanted the host was great and friendly. I went for the Ring of Fire which was incredible, and definitely a ring of fire, and my wife had the smoked meat sandwich and regular Poutine which again were perfect. The meat was smoked well and tender and the portions were great. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and friendly staff.

Honestly, I don't think it will suit Japanese tastes. The service was good, the furniture had just been updated, and the interior was clean, but most of all, the main dish, poutine, was such plain junk food that it brought tears to my eyes as I wondered why it cost 1,700 yen. Masu. The gravy sauce is quite salty compared to British gravy sauce, and even for Japanese people who are used to soy sauce, the taste is spicy and monotonous.
I was told that it was one of the best poutines, and although it's certainly delicious with the crispy potatoes, I don't recommend eating poutine in the first place. No, I think it's fine if you want to make memories of eating Canadian food.

Le personnel est cool et j'ai adoré le lieu et l'ambiance

I’m visiting from Australia and this was my first time trying poutine. All I can say is wow! The lovely guy who served me was shutting up shop but still let me stay to eat. Thank you for your kindness and allowing me to try your food!

One if the best poutines you can get outside of quebec (never been there yet, but have heard). Food portions perfect for when you're super hungry

Blows away every other Vancouver poutinerie. This is one of the gems of Davie St and the peninsula. I've been here probably ~50 times (and counting) and have only ever had great food - be it the poutine or the other stuff like the smoked meat sandwiches (which are very well stuffed!) and even the little guedilles.

This place was mentioned on DownieLive on YouTube so hubby and I decided to go there before getting our COVID vaccine. I have waited 20 years for a poutine that tastes like home! My first experience ordering a poutine when I moved to BC, the person didn't even know what I was talking about! I found a couple of places that sufficed but not close enough to Ontario. I love you guys so much! My search is finally over! ️ now would you be willing to open a place more in the south Vancouver area, say Fraser street? You guys are amazing! And I love the Eastern Canadian vibe! ️

First time trying the poutine and steamers. The poutine was very good not too salty and delicious. The steamer ODB is one of the best hot dogs I've ever had!

Definitely my go to Downtown poutine spot for years. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sundays when I often find myself needing a poutine. Get the Smoked Meat Poutine and try the Steamies.

I raved about this place to all my friends and family. I'm from Montreal, Quebec.
I am so disappointed. I don't know what happened to this place but my smoke meat sandwich was on whole wheat wonder bread NOT RYE.
FOR SHAME!
Really sad.
I bought 2 large poutines, 2 smokies and a smoke meat sandwich to go.what's that famous line from Lethal Weapon?
"They screw you at the drive through"
I ate the smokies heading back to New Westminster & couldn't wait until I could share my order with my family.
The poutine was.fine, but the sandwich MEH!
I ate the meat by itself.
VERY disappointed in the presentation and quality.
It was not worth what I paid. I'll make it at home and ship in the meat from Montreal.
PS: You can't blame everything on COVID.

Lunch break! Pro-tip: if you sign up in the restaurant for their rewards program with your phone, they will text you a FREE small traditional poutine offer for your birthday. They give you a week to use it.

This is one of my favourite poutine places in the city. The cheese curds are hefty, squeaky, and bouncy. This is true Quebecois style!

This was our first ever time eating here, after this place was hyped up by fellows friends and sites we've seen it on, The food made fast and good quality

The guy with a beard working as cashier at the time was extremely rude to us and to the customer behind us, after we had paid for our order for takeout we realized we could eat inside as not all places offer this right now and not outside in the rain, when we went to sit down after getting our food, he rudely yelled at us saying our order was for takeout not for dinning in and that we should have specified that

The customer behind us ordered, when taking there order I guess he got there name wrong, when they went up to get there food the customer politely corrected them before leaving, after said customer left they went on a rant about how they couldn't hear anything making some sparky comments about them after the customer had already left

This left us with a unpleasant first experience and do not think we will be coming back anytime in the near future

My first ever poutine! They have quite a few vegetarian options. Love the ones with onions and the one with cabbage. First it felt like a super weird choice, but now I am addicted.
Cool folks working there too!

Pretty good but could have more curds on my poutine. Was a little disappointing. Hotdog was ok. Lots of swearing coming from the kitchen, very shocking for the kids.

Je viens de Québec et c'est la seule poutine au BC qui s'approche le plus a celle du Québec. J'ai adoré elle es vraiment bonne. Merci

This was my first time trying traditional poutine. I’m no expert. For me it was much too salty with very little contrast in flavors and texture. Tired of eating it after a few bites.
14 October 2019 21:45
Great order of food. Options and atmosphere. Sadly I had mine to go. Staff are lovely. Not sure it's the best poutine in the city but it's up there.
14 October 2019 21:25
I love this place. Excellent poutine, great service and huge portions. My wife & I get take-out at least once a week.

Absolutely delicious poutine at a good price. Good hangout spot to watch sport as well. Not great for a large crowd, however.
27 September 2019 16:29
Delicious poutine and hotdogs, service was great. The staff working there were very friendly. Food was fast and tasted very fresh. One of the best poutines in Vancouver. They also have charging cables at the bar if your phone is low!

A nice hole in the wall poutine specialty shop with a huge variety of local (by which I mean from Montreal) dishes. I had a lot of trouble deciding what to get because frankly, I just wanted to try EVERYTHING. If I were to stay here longer, I'd keep coming back again and again.

Tender juicy smoked meat sandwhich. First real canadian poutine was hot delicious and plenty for me. Service was excellent love this place would recommend you come try it. Prices are very reasonable and was just a short walk from the water
Uphill but I get to go downhill on the way back. Thanks for redeaming my birthday today with beatiful weather.

I'm obese now thanks La Belle Patate. Food good and also been a while since I heard Breaking Benjamin.
04 September 2019 9:36
It's ok.

Could be better if they didn't allow people to come to your table begging for change while you are trying to eat.
29 August 2019 14:23
La sauce manque de goût. Les frites sont bonnes. J'ai pris avec viande.mais très peu garni. Rien de comparable avec les top restaurants du Québec.
19 August 2019 8:21
As a Montreal native, I take poutine seriously. Funny but not funny. This is the closest I’ve found to genuine Québec poutine and hot dogs. If you’re missing La Belle Pro and need a fix this is your place.or if you’re a Vancouverite that wants to understand what the hype in MTL is all about. The food is 10/10, staff about a 12/10 (they put up with Quebecers speaking French AT them). Always busy and delicious!
18 August 2019 21:28
Poutine is a typical Canadian dish. It's not the most refined dish, but if you want the best Poutine you can find in Vancouver, this is the place to be! On top of that the staff is extremely friendly and this place is situated in the LGBTQ+ neighbourhood of Vancouver, which makes it a very safe place to visit:)
12 August 2019 5:46
I messed up my order and ordered a normal smoked meat poutine instead of the deluxe one and already paid. Guy upgraded me for free. Took it to go and the takeout container was molten lava, which is a good sign of something being fresh made. Poutine was great, haven’t had smoked meat in chunks but it tasted authentic. Will look forward to trying the other kinds in the future.

Mish mash with extra peppers and mushrooms.man i love that

Also, great staff.especially the short haired girl
12 July 2019 13:34
2nd favourite poutine in Vancouver. Great steamies, lots of options, friendly staff, expeditious kitchen. Only downside is all the Habs jerseys & Pepsi LOL
10 February 2019 8:03
Read rave reviews about this place. Great cashier - genuine friendliness and called everyone “love”. The large veggie poutine with tomatoes costs $15. Pricey but the gravy and cheese are good. Huge (and I mean huge!) menu of poutine! Ps: a couple of Montrealers sat beside my table so if good enough of ‘em, good for me too!
17 January 2019 14:35
I love it. Try out the steam dog! I love the variety and the way the make their gravy. I go there every time I can!
It is still good but sometimes is not the best. Like everything else it has some bad days.

I was disappointed with the product I was given when coming to try this place out with friends. I had ordered the bbq chicken poutine and had trouble even identifying it from the other orders. It didn't taste like bbq and just seemed like a regular poutine with small plain pieces of chicken in it, I couldn't find any trace of the bbq sauce the cashier said there would be. The poutine itself tasted fine but I would ultimately rather go buy a regular $7 poutine somewhere else and save myself the extra $6.

Do you like poutine? Do you want to LOVE poutine? Stop reading this review and go to La Belle Patate immediately. It's delicious AF.

Ah. La Belle Patate of Vancouver, my new-found foreign love. This was my first experience with poutine. Based on the description I was given by some trusted friends, I was a bit hesitant. But as I stepped up to the counter I gathered my confidence and ordered the smoked-meat poutine. I nervously waited the arrival of this mystery dish and after a few minutes.there it was in all of its glory, covered in thick gravy and chunks of tender meat and cheese curds. Never have my taste buds experiences such an explosion of flavor and never has a meal provided such deep satisfaction. Well done Vancouver!

Forget Fritz, smoke's poutine, mean poutine and whatever other place. This is pretty much the real deal. They use real cheese curds, thick cut fries and lots of gravy. So not only are you getting the authentic dish, they also aren't stingy on their portioning and the cheese curds are nice and big and you get your money's worth.

This is the only place I get my poutine from and the only place I recommend people get their poutine especially if it's going to be their first time trying it.

I'm not going to complain, I don't think it's the best cheese curds, maybe it's because they import it from Quebec so it might not be super fresh but it's still as close as it gets to what you would get in Quebec and it's vpretty damn close. If you're tired of the traditional, you can mix it up with over 30 different styles/toppings.

I can't recommend the hot dogs, it was average but I heard the smoked meat is great so I'll have to try that at some point.
