I was looking for a reliable wax aesthetician in Richmond for years and this place caught my attention because the staff are responsive, the spaces are CLEAN (and gorgeous). The vibe is calm and relaxing (the decor is on point!)
My go-to person is Virginia: she is as skillful as she is kind. I always look forward to our conversations together and appreciate her attention to detail. Thank you, Virginia!

I waited for a couple visits before writing this review, and I have to say the consistency with their service are top notch! If you’re the type of person that prefers to use hard wax, this is your to go place! I could not find other spa that uses hard wax, most would use soft wax!

I’ve came for facial spa treatment with Virginia and wax session with Celise for full leg, upper lips, underarm and Brazilian! Both Virginia and Celise are great!

If you tell them you would like to just relax and not talk that is no problem at all, I’m can snooze during your appointment! And I’ve snoozed for both treatments before XD they all love to chat with you but understand if you’re feeling tired and just want to relax!

My latest appointment with Celise I almost fell asleep while waxing the back of my leg while laying on my stomach, the spa beds are comfy! I’m not saying it’s not painful. But the pain doesn’t last. Building up my pain tolerance! Now I barely feel the clean up strips!

If you’re looking for a new wax treatment spa, give this spa a chance! They really help you to get all the little hair! Celise does her best with some of my ingrown hair too! I really appreciate her! She makes the session quick and efficient!

And if you add a signature facial treatment spa, it’s really relaxing! They even massage your neck to your shoulder! It’s so peaceful!

For the prices I paid, it’s really worth it! I really love the service I’m getting!
And the product they use, I love it to where I bought some of them and it’s really helping my skin glow!

First time going here. Lovely atmosphere and great experience with their hardwaxing and it was done by Virginia, she's very nice and I just had fun chatting with her. The hardwaxing isn't painful as much as the softwaxing. Will recommend.

Got a facial from Celise. It was amazing and included a little scalp massage that felt so good. And my skin was glowing for days.

Caroline has the best team at La Cachette! From the moment you are greeted at reception, to the treatment, every visit has always been such a pleasant and positive experience. My go to esthetician is Celise. Her skin care knowledge and recommendations have done wonders for my skin. Highly recommend their hard wax services and dermaplaning!

Made an appointment last minute the service was very good. The lady doing my waxing made sure I was comfortable and kept checking in the see if I needed a break or if the waxing process was to painful

I made an appointment for my very first bikini waxing session after multiple years of shaving. I wanted to try waxing to try and eliminate some of the cons that come with shaving (razor burn, itchiness, etc). I booked an appointment with Virginia, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! First when you walk in, the salon is beautiful, very clean, and gives a calm vibe. Before the waxing began Virginia gave me all the information about what she was going to be doing, and walked me through the waxing process step by step. She was so incredibly sweet and personable, and made me feel super comfortable for my first time waxing. The actual wax itself was super fast and relatively painless - which was shocking because I typically have very sensitive skin. She asked me if I liked how it looked part way through and asked if I wanted any of the sides/top taken off a bit more, which I really appreciate. Over all experience was amazing, and I would definitely recommend this place and Virginia to anyone who is wanting to have waxing done!

Hours of operation are not correct. Come to buy something and door is locked with lights on. Had to wait 25 to 30 mins for someone to answer. They had said it’s closed today despite the hours listed online, and that they’re only open when someone is scheduled. Makes for a difficult time when you need to buy something asap. The lady who answered had told me I can buy online and have it shipped or schedule a pick up. Don’t put hours that state your open when yo are not.

Got a male anatomy waxing for the first time. Really excellent service. Smaller strips took her longer but were more manageable for me as a first timer. Caroline was willing to take the time to do any touch ups requested. She did a five star job.

Amazing! Always feel so relaxed after finishing any sessions with Lisa and my skin always feels so supple afterwards. Super knowledgeable with any products that would help maintain it afterwards.

Hands down, best spa experience I’ve ever had! I can’t praise them enough. You come out completely rejuvenated and refreshed. The spa is absolutely stunning and Celise was extremely professional, she truly has the hands of an angel. Will be returning for many visits to come!

Everything about La Cachette is a thoughtful, relaxing experience. The decor is chic and invites you to feel relaxed. As for the services, I have only had the best 5 star experiences, across different team members and services.

The hard wax La Cachette uses makes for a superior waxing experience, and I can't recommend it enough. If you've had a bad waxing experience in the past, I'd say trust the team here to change your mind and give you a really great experience.

The nicest group of aesthetician’s I’ve ever met. Kind, caring and thoughtful about each treatment you receive. I keep going back for the signature facials which are catered to my skin type! I’ve had so many problems with my skin in the past ranging from cystic acne to hyperpigmentation. The La Cachette team have personally guided me through my skin journey! Big thanks to Celise and Caroline - You’ve given me the confidence to wear less foundation and to just be me.

First experience having a facial and it was AMAZING!

The booking process was super easy, I messaged them on Instagram (I was referred by a friend), and I got an appointment within 2 weeks. I received a confirmation email, and a COVID-19 questionnaire via email as well. Lots of parking too, it's located in a little plaza in Richmond.

I didn't know what to expect since it was my very first time getting a facial, and I was immediately impressed by the interior/decor at the front desk reception area when I walked in. It's very modern/earthy/chic (eg.white walls, natural plants) - and definitely feels very calming and relaxing. I booked my appointment with Lisa Liang for a La Cachette Signature Facial, and she was very sweet and patient as she walked me through what to expect. Bonus: The washroom are gorgeously decorated as well, and very very clean.

The facial lasts a full 1 hour and 15mins or so. The rooms have soft ambient music playing, and the heavy sheets are super super comfortable - you could easily take a nap! I'm not well versed in their products, but various cleansers, exfoliant and peels are gently massaged into my face. Mines ended with a cold jelly mask thing. They use a lot of G. M. Collin skincare products (I also got 2 samples on my way out). My favourite part was starting and ending with a deep breathing exercise with essential oils, and also a little face/head massage at the end.

The La Cachette Signature Facial regular price is $135, but I went for a limited time 50% off promo. Overall, it was a very pleasant & relaxing experience. Service was great, and the place was very clean. Highly recommend this place (and Lisa of course!).

I highly recommend the signature facial. My aesthetician Virginia recommended it based on my concerns and the results were better than I expected. I haven’t seen my complexion look so bright and plump in a while. The perfect cure for dull winter skin. Virginia has such a soothing presence and touch, that I even drifted off to sleep a couple times during my treatment. The people here are knowledgeable and very attentive. I can’t recommend this place highly enough

I am so lucky to have found this gem in Richmond. I have only met the owner, Caroline, and Virginia, the esthetician, and they have both been so awesome. I first went for a facial with Virginia and she did a medical peel and it left my skin so rejuvenated. She understood my complaints about the dryness of my skin in certain areas and she made recommendations of a routine I could follow and so far my skin is thankful! Since then I've gone back to try other services with Virginia like face waxing and Brazilian waxing and each time I have felt like i was the VIP. I definitely recommend this spa and if you give Virginia a chance you won't regret it

Easily one of the best facials I've ever had. Virginia really took care of me and made sure to explain exactly what she was doing while also giving me tips on products to use for my otherwise dry skin. Her kind demeanor truly made feel at ease and at home.

The modern decor throughout the spa leaves you feeling special and extreamly relaxed. All the products used feel great and smell lovely too! Will definitely be returning for my next facial. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get pampered.

I went to La Cachette spa and got a facial, my esthetician, Virginia, was amazing, she took her time didn’t rush and really listened to me and my skin care concerns. I have very sensitive skin and I was worried I would have a reaction, Virginia and her boss Caroline were both super knowledgeable and eased my concerns. Overall an amazing experience l, my skin was left glowing and baby smooth.

La Cachette Spa is hands down the best spa I’ve been to. Celise is very knowledgeable and during my facials, walks me through every product she uses and what the benefits are. I look forward to the scalp massages every time! My skin always feels nourished and glowy after a facial and I always feel relaxed! I also get my brazilian done with Celise and wow! It is painless, fast and so smooth! She puts so much love and care into everything she does.

All the ladies at La Cachette are knowledgeable, welcoming and professional. I always leave La Cachette feeling pampered. I can’t recommend them enough!

Go and see Virginia! I had two services done from her (a dermaplaning facial and a full leg wax), she is so thorough with explaining the services and listened to exactly what I needed! I have pretty sensitive skin (to pain as well) and she made sure she was gentle and used the right products for my skin type and even made a leg wax an enjoyable experience:) I was glowing from top to bottom. She's so friendly and made me feel safe, she's truly an asset to the spa!

One of my go to spa in Richmond! I recently got a signature facial from Lisa Liang and my skin have never felt been better. Lisa took the time to thoroughly assess my skin and gave me a treatment exactly to my needs. She did a great extracting my blackheads and my skin felt like it could breathe for the first time. I also got the waxing treatment with Lisa. I was very nervous as it was my first time. However, Lisa made the whole process extremely comfortable for me and I felt very little pain from WAXING! I will definately be going back to her!

Had my first ever facial experience and Lisa was absolutely amazing! As a guy, experiences like this can be somewhat foreign, however she was extremely professional and made me feel relaxed and comfortable, especially with it being my first time. The service from start to finish was incredible, and I would highly recommend La Cachette, and especially Lisa to anyone looking for a relaxing and serene spa experience!

I had my first ever facial with Celise and I was so so impressed with the depth of knowledge! My skin glowed and felt so healthy after — definitely would recommend!

Caroline and Celise are both professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. My leg and bikini wax were less painful than I've ever experienced and seemed to last longer than other waxes I've had. They are also very knowledgeable about skincare and I love that the products they use when I get facials - I often see improvement and I love that they smell like natural essential oils.

Caroline is just the best! I'd trust her to rip every last hair off my body as her reassuring smile would get me through it. Could talk to her for hours:) shes a blast and so passionate about her work.

I never was into skin care or even thought I deserved it until I went to la cachette. I had Celise do a facial on me and on another occasion wax me. I felt so comfortable and each step was also explained if I wanted it to. Celise is so gentle, compassionate, and makes you feel at home and relaxed. You are the leader of your experience and she created such a beautiful atmosphere.

I have always had an amazing experience while booking a facial and/or wax with Celise. The facial is always so relaxing and leaves my very dry skin feeling moisturized for days. The wax they use is so gentle and causes very little pain, perfect for sensitive skin. Celise is also very knowledgeable in skin care and gives great recommendations if your looking to take better care of your skin and up your routine. I would highly recommend their services!

I would like to detail an experience with Caroline, she is very unprofessional when dealing with clients, she chooses to argue with the client rather than simply solving the issue at hand, if a client is not happy with something you did, you should make it right if you know anything about customer service, which I seriously doubt, when a client is unable to make an appointment and provided you with ample cancellation notice, you shouldn't go and charge someone's credit card without their authorization as that practice won't get you very far in life, it is already known you left on bad terms with your previous employer, so that kinda shows what kind of attitude you have, I would not recommend this person to anyone, as she will not have your best interests in mind, to go and charge a clients credit card for a full service that you did not provide, and write some big long speech via email, that is all in bad taste, no wonder you are no longer with Ego, seriously who ever reads this take the advice and look else where for these type of services

****Further update to these other reviews, this Caroline is just trying to make her low end business seem credible, with her imaginary reviews from these other people posting but this is an actual disgruntled client, the bottom line is she is a cheat! Who will charge your credit card for the full services even if you are unable to make an appointment, while giving a decent amount of notice, which is pretty pathetic, if you had any business sense you would not steal clients money from their credit cards because I can assure you I will post my thoughts everywhere on the internet! ***

Caroline is truly amazing at what she does. She is a very reliable as well as knowledgeable. I used to always do Brazilians at home by myself.what a waste of time. It would take me over an hour to complete! Ever since going to Caroline it takes less than 30 mins and is probably 90% less painful (especially because she uses hard wax).

The facials? Don’t even get me started on the facials. They are phenomenal. You can feel how experienced she is. Also I love how if you’re in a talkative mood she is very easy to carry a conversation with but if you’re feeling tired and just want to relax she lets you sleep and enjoy the process.

Caroline is hands down the best! You can tell that she is so passionate about skincare and her clients. I loved my experience with her, especially my first time consultation because it was extremely thorough and it really seemed like she cared about MY skin. She took the time to understand my skin concerns and recommended suggestions. She even asked what products I was using and she took the time to look up the ingredients within said products to inform me that they were perhaps causing my skin problems (dryness). I really appreciated how knowledgeable she was, I love learning new and important things.especially about my skin! Thank you Caroline!
