La Cantina Tacos

Fantastic place. Walked in there not knowing what to expect but the food, service and vibe was awesome.

Such a great place for tacos in Whistler, especially given the number of veggie options they have. The jackfruit tacos are honestly my favorite and I love that they have a hot sauce collection to choose from. Definitely get all 4 veggie tacos. The burrito and bowls are also huge and hits the spot. I love coming here every time I visit Whistler.

I came here and was blown away at the quality of the food. I didn't expect much but the tacos were delish. Most times I have pork in tacos its dry, not this place. The pork was moist and extremely flavorful and the price was great! I had an expensive meal the night before and this was even better. Our waitress was kind, warm and made me and my family feel cared for and attended to. Must recommend.

Had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The server's attitude was quite rude. Additionally, the tacos were overly salty and seemed to contain an excessive amount of artificial colors. To make matters worse, I accidentally spilled some food on my clothing, and the stains are impossible to remove. My clothes are now ruined! The food is not Mexican authentic but some pure North American junk.

This is the blandest Mexican food I've ever tasted. (And for the price of food in Whistler, we were hoping for so much more!) Bland quesadillas, bland guacamole, bland pico de gallo, bland fish tacos.all bland.

Delicious food, the frozen margarita is nice and strong. Friendly staff and a decent amount of seating. Wonderful place right in the village. Will be back next time I’m visiting!

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and it was great. I ordered 4 of the vegetarian tacos which were probably the best tacos I've had. My boyfriend ordered a cantina bowl with chicken. We both really enjoyed our meals, great service and yummy food. Thank you so much, I look forward to coming back here.

Servers were awesome and that’s it. Disgusting burritos they told us the burrito are huge it was tiny and the chicken was like tuna. Taco was nasty we might as well went to a higher class restaurant versus this nasty place and way over priced.

My gf had the Fish Taco and 2 hours later got food poisening. When we called the restaurant the lady answering our complaint said “ She must be allergic to fish” I was upset by the response and asked a Manager to call us. They never did! Sadly it was our anniversary as well.

Every restaurant in the Village is at the top of its specialty and la cantina is no exception. I usually get tacos but had to get the huge burrito. And the frozen Margaritas are actually GOOD, with actual tequila in them unlike most frozen margaritas.

We did a day trip to whistler and needed to eat somewhere gluten free. La Cantina was phenomenal in multiple ways. They took great care in understanding my allergies and the severity - they made my food in a separate area to avoid cross contamination. THEN, the food was incredible. My non-gluten free partner got the same tacos I did and was in heaven.

The staff were incredible kind, and attentive. The food was delicious and authentic. The vibe was fun, clean and urban.

I would absolutely recommend that you stop here next time you’re in whistler (or even driving by!)

Best authentic Mexican food I have had outside Mexico! If you want real Mexican food, don't miss this place!

Hands down best authentic Mexican food my husband and I have had in Canada. Service is quick and friendly with a cozy atmosphere.

Great authentic mexican cuisine! Had the burrito bowl (GF) + guac + pico de gallo along with fish and chicken tacos. Excellent flavours - the beans were delicious.

Unfortunate experience after being super excited for tacos! Some staff were friendly but some seemed to just want to get you out of their hair.

Burrito was good and so was the pork taco (taco shells are good too) so this is where the 2 stars come from! But the vegan chorizo tacos were terrible, they name it a “spicy” taco but there was literally 0 spice (honestly unsure if they just forgot to add the spice) and the imitation of chorizo is just not well done - wish there was a real chorizo option! The Avocado sauce on top was great and was the only reason I could even eat the chorizo because it covered it up enough. My boyfriend took a bite to try and said “I couldn’t eat that, I don’t know how you are”.

Just really didn’t feel like these two meals should have been $60.00 and after leaving a good tip since you have to pay before you eat, you would think the servers would all be nice to you (and again some were nice) but there were a couple whose attitude were just unfortunate.

Also the server took away the pico de gallo when it was still half full but left our half full chips so we had to eat the rest of them dry… (ran to another table before I could even say anything). Which was sad because the pico de gallo was good.

Would love to give this place a second chance, especially since some food was good! Was just very disappointing experience leaving wishing we had gone somewhere else especially with the cost.

Everything over there was awesome, starting with the location of the place, the food and portions area great, the staff it's great, the girl with curly hair at front, she gave us the perfect advice of food, so kind. We definitely should come back.

The food here is really good and service was very quick. We had all 4 vegetarian tacos which were lovely as well as some tortilla chips with pico de gallo which was really tasty too.

As food in whistler goes it was really well priced and definitely value for money. Our server also gave us some great tips for exploring the area which was really helpful too!

I can’t speak on authenticity, but I can say the Quesadillas are packed with much more meat than you’d expect one to be, and alongside the tacos is very flavourful! This is my go-to spot after a day on the mountain.

Pretty tasty but slightly overpriced. Maybe you're paying a "Whistler tax". The food was very fresh and service was ok.

La cantina set up my family with a take out build your own taco bar this past week and it was a huge hit! We initially chose them because they have a great assortment of vegan and vegetarian options and gluten free was needed as well. We had chicken, beef, jackfruit, and vegetarian chorizo tacos along with plenty of rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, Pico, etc. Everything was delicious and the portions more than fair, as well as a great price to feed 20 people. We all enjoyed it and it provided enough leftovers for some lunches and late night snacks too. If you are looking for a simple option with lots of variety for a large group I would recommend them in a heartbeat. They were great communicators as well, and it was such a great great meal to go pick up and not worry about cooking and grocery shopping the day we arrived. Thanks so much to their whole team, we will be back!

It was a nice experience. Food taste was good but not so great. I liked sweet pork taco but rest was so so. I would have loved if they would give some choice on what toppings we would like on tacos or if we want any salsa.

Ordered 2 tacos, one chicken and one beef. The tortillas were really good but the fillings lacked flavour. Definitely not authentic but if the typical “la taqueria” style tacos are your thing go ahead

Whistler weekend trip. My wife loves Mexican food, so that’s our first stop.

Tacos were amazing, they all have their unique flavours, we really loved them.

The burrito was also good, it’s on the bigger side, it was filling.

Service was great too, friendly and hard working staff with layback vibe, perfect for a place like whistler village.

We think this is better than our go to Mexican restaurant in New Westminster. Yeah, it’s that good. Try it if you are in the area.

Went for the burrito, it was nice but not incredible. The tacos are probably better.
The music outside was SO loud we ended up sitting inside to be able to speak to each other.

We stopped in for a quick snack before we could check into our hotel. The tacos were great, restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. Would most definitely recommend for a low cost, quick meal for anyone up in whistler.

As a celiac I am in love with this place. The tacos were absolutely delicious and affordable. I haven’t had a fish taco since being diagnosed. The chicken, fish and bean and rice taco were amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone, but especially great for celiacs!
