L.A. Chicken

Chicken was very dry and tiny drumsticks. The skin was also very salty. We asked for ketchup and the guy said "No fries, no ketchup". That is ridiculous to say the least to cheap out on ketchup. They use to taste better and also give ketchup. Honestly everywhere else even Mcdonalds gives ketchup. Seriously? Rather go to church's chicken and sucks LA chicken that you lose out on business for being cheap.

One of the best fried chicken spots in Vancouver. Crispy, fresh, juicy chicken! Not over seasoned. Reminds me of a good church’s chicken but less grease!

LA Chicken is very consistent. Tasty every time. Never tastes like old oil. Never over or under cooked. Looks like a family run business. They obviously care about their product.

As always, the best fried chicken around! Get the spicy even though it's not that spicy but tasty, crispy and good!

Best fried chicken! But i think the menu and pricing needs to be shown upon ordering. Place could use a renovation.

The fried chicken here is always made to order. It hasn't been sitting on a heat lamp. Worth the wait if you have the time. Busy during meal times. I prefer the regular vs the spicy fried chicken here.

Legendary famous LA chicken in Richmond. They only cook your fresh chicken upon ordering which may take 5-10mins of waiting if your appreciate the fresh and juicy tenderness of your fried chicken.

Reasonably priced and highest quality compare to near by competitors such as Churches or Popeyes and for sure KFC!

Free parking available at the complex. It’s take out only and no dine in.

Chicken gotten a Lil smaller. But same quality and same amount of pcs. And of course.

Seriously one of the best fried chicken places in the Lower Mainland. We've been coming to this small hole-in-the-wall for years and will keep doing so as long as they keep running.

If you like Church's Chicken, you're in for a treat here because this is better. Perfectly crispy chicken skin and tender and juicy meat on the inside. Plus the thick gravy is so much better than those watered down versions we see elsewhere. The fries could use some work but that's just nitpicking.

Our go-to meal from here is their leg and thigh family meal which gets you gravy and a side. Unbuckle your belt and enjoy.

Excellent for the price. Take out order with a 30 mins drive back home. The chicken and the gravy is still very great but the fries are not that spectacular.

Called to order ahead. They answered the phone then just hang up. Thought it was a mistake so called again. Second time. Same thing only this time they waited 10 secs and then hang up.
Called back a third time and again same thing.

No dine available. Don't ever answer the phone for pre order. Never have any white meat available unless you wait.

Best fried chicken in town! My must go to place for fried chicken. This place 100% satisfies my cravings for fried chicken, every single time!

When walking into this quiet little spot off 5 Road there are a couple things you should prepare yourself for. One, the owner is going to be fresher than you. You absolutely cannot flex on my man. His upper body has only felt the finest Jordan cottons. His kicks could easily outshine any pair on the Richmond Olympic Oval basketball courts making Mr Cleans head look like a back alley dumpster. But instead of dishing the rock, it’s fried chicken. Succulent perfectly crisp fried chicken.
Sometimes while eating here I will close my eyes just to focus my sense of taste the gift it is being given. He has been forging his craft for years at this location and I can honestly say the Richmond fried chicken game peaks on this corner.

Take-out fried chicken restaurant. The chicken is juicy and flavourful. Friendly and courteous service. They usually make to order, so you may have to wait about 15 minutes - worth it! This is my favourite fried chicken restaurant.

This is a small business with only this branch as far as I'm aware. The family that runs it has been doing so for a long time. We always love getting the 20pc chicken for $33, which is a good deal and the fried chicken in my opinion beats any other franchise hands down for value overall. There is sometimes lineups for the dinner rush or lunch on the weekends but service is courteous and prompt. Currently it's takeout only during Covid and the hours listed are current. They do not have outdoor seating but there is a giant public park directly across the street with park benches galore for you to use. All Covid protocols being followed with barriers, masks, and gloves bring worn by staff. We would love to see their coupons to come back though which was a great way to also introduce friends to their business. Please bring the coupons back!

Update Feb 2023: I've lowered my star rating due to the fact that it used to be amazing value but now the 20 piece deal is $46 ($13 increase from just a year ago). It's still amazing chicken but comes at a similar price as the chain stores now.

Hands down the best chicken in all of greater Vancouver. Don’t know what their secret is but it manages to live up to the hype and more.
