I visited the store too late so they were out of Paris Brest. Picked up some macarons and the Eclair. Macarons were just ok, little too soft for my liking. Cute patisserie.

Very nice and friendly staff! All the pastries look so good! I tried this one but it’s a little bit too sweet for my liking.

My boyfriend saw the carrot cake in the window on Monday when we were headed out of town to go camping. Afterwards, even though we had to make a ferry on our way back to the US, he HAD to come back and get it. It did not disappoint. And my chocolate passion fruit tart was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. LA Roux does an extraordinary job baking but also providing friendly warm service.

We had La Roux make our wedding cake, and it was one of our favourite experiences with our vendors. Chef Joanne was great with walking us through the process. The cake was beautifully decorated, and not too sweet, which is something we really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience with La Roux and all of its staff.

We were so happy with how our wedding cake from La Roux turned out! It was beautiful and the flavour combination (Earl Grey and lemon curd) was delicious. We really enjoyed our cake tasting where we were able to try flavours and work together on a design, and it came out even better than we had imagined. Thank you Chef Joanne!

Great patisserie in the heart of Victoria's Chinatown. They have a selection of permanent and seasonal cakes. My favorite treat is the Paris-Brest, delicious and made to perfection. Our to-go patisserie for the weekend indulgence! Totally recommended

This lovely place is indeed charming and a taste of Paris. The decor is adorable, charming, and elegant. The staff are very friendly and when your hot beverages and delightful pastries are brought to you, they arrive on a lovely little silver platter. (Only for dine-in). Everything I have tasted here is phenomenal and hits the spot. Definitely a place to visit, over and over

The place is a bit small with minimal seating. I feel like deserve to have a larger place. Their pastries are well made, well priced and beautiful. The paris-brest was my favorite with a very nice hazelnut flavor. The lemon tarte was bright and tart, very nice. The hazelnut macaroon however was lacking in flavor. The hazelnut wasn't very prominent so it just tasted like a sweet macaroon, still well made though.

Located on Fisgard St, Chinatown. Lovely Pannacotta dessert. Chai Latte nice also but a little too spicy.

Superb location. Super friendly staff, they were handing out samples to customers in the long line up. Croissants were perfection, will definitely be back.

Came in with a group of 8, seated promptly and everyone who greeted us were friendly and helpful.

Ordered several of their pastries, Paris Brest was featured to us and it was very delicious. Seating is limited indoors so be mindful there could be a wait during peak hours

Bought the mini pastry cheesecake and eclair today, absolutely amazing. Not a huge fan of overly sweet treats so these were perfect! Keep up the great work guys!

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from La Roux, and it was absolutely phenomenal. We were so impressed with the customer service from Chef Jo all throughout the process, including the tasting cakes/macarons, and the beautiful finished product. In fact, our wedding cake was so good we are going back to order another one (sans decoration) because we didn't get enough on our wedding night! 100/5.

Overrated and overpriced. I ordered two small pastries, they were nothing special. Coffee was not hot enough more on a lukewarm side.

This place is amazing. When my family & I were looking at bakeries to make my sisters wedding cake, La Roux made us a sample box of different desserts to try. They were all delicious & looked amazing. We were so impressed we asked them to make the wedding cake which was also fantastic & full of flavour. If anyone is getting married in Victoria I'd definitely recommend they get their cake from here. Their vanilla sponge is also very light & fluffy, I was very impressed with their flavours

What a heavenly little spot! The staff were beautiful, gracious, kind & welcoming towards my friend and I when we visited yesterday afternoon. Our desserts and drinks were delicious and I loved the interior design of the space, it made a rainy day feel so cozy and intimate. I genuinely appreciated how the staff personally thanked my dear friend for her contributions as a frontline worker in our local community by surprising her with a personalized ‘Thank You’ macaroon when they brought our sweet treats and drinks to our table. Your generosity was noticed and it made both of our days. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I’ll be back for more cheesecake!

What an Amazing Cake you guys have, I have been ordering it from the last few years, you have given me such a delious, (Mouth watering) cake. I will definitly reccomed this place to anyone. I just put my another order.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to the staff at La Roux Patisserie. For my parents' anniversary, I was able to choose a cake (via phone consultation) and have it delivered to a hotel. They even made an exception and delivered the cake on their day off. The cake was absolutely stunning, and I was told it tasted delicious! I would absolutely recommend this bakery to anyone!

So many options and varieties. Very delicious and worth stopping for if you're into pastries like me the ube profiterole and lemon tart was my favorite.

Espresso pistachio tart! So far my favourite dessert from here. The crunch of the tart part makes it perfect and the combination of pistachio flavour and the hint of coffee is just amazing! Absolutely recommend this one whenever you see they serve it lol

Very poor service. We asked them for extra hot drink, they brought it medium hot (frustrating)!
We asked them to heat the croissant. She came telling us" I put them for 1min". They were just cold.

It's a shame!

Please improve your service and allow us to enjoy being served in your coffee place with bright waitresses.

A cozy french coffee spot with amazing desserts. It's a busy place, so a line up might be in order. We had a delicious passion fruit with chocolate crust. It was filled with passion fruit cream. It was fantastic. I highly recommend this place for a nice treat and some delicious tea or coffee.

The profiterole was good but the raspberry pistachio cake was "go back for seconds" good. The macarons had nice amount of filling and were the perfect size.

My little family and I went there to start my birthday with some french patisseries. It was deliciouSSSSSS! Service was outstanding explaining us each cakes. The owner even came to our table and offered us some sweets! Best pastries in Victoria!

Very impressed by La Roux Pastisserie's offerings. Both the bread pudding and profiterole we ordered were excellent. Coffee is just ok, but coffee is not what they specialized in.

We finally had a chance to try out La Roux. It's located within Chinatown in Victoria. The texture and taste of the canele was fantastic but the inside was a tad too moist. The bread pudding was delicious. If you are tourist and order takeout, make sure you have a microwave to reheat the sauce at the hotel room (which we had). The croissant was great too.

Best services ever! I ordered my cousin a birthday cake from here and they delivered it with no problems! For someone who lives in Vancouver this was the best service! And the cake looked amazing and tasted great!

Tried the Paris Brest… Amazing! They use a special fatty butter that Canadians can only import through a lottery. Isn’t overtly sweet. Perfection!

BEST CARROT CAKE I'VE EVER HAD! They make a carrot cake that is deliciously moist and not sickeningly sweet! No nuts or raisins, which is how carrot cake should be. I tell everyone about this carrot cake - it is amazing.

Recently contacted the store from the States to arrange a cake delivery to my Grandfather who lives in Victoria. Store was super helpful, friendly and delivered an awesome cake. I heard it was delicious too.

For dessert this place is the best in town. Just found out about it but have been three times since and for $6, the desserts all look (and taste) phenomenal!

I am in love with how quaint this bakery is! We passed by it while visiting Victoria when I saw a little sample of their pastries from a window and I had to stop by.

The bakery was very cute inside, with elegant decor. Their selection of pastries were mouthwatering. I absolutely loved their macarons. They had a lot of baked goods to choose from, I wish I could've bought one of everything.

Great bakery! They have a wide variety of baked goods. The yuzu cake and bread pudding were fabulous! The staff is always very friendly as well.

Beautiful patisserie with delicious desserts! Would come back. We got something with pistachio and it was so delicious, light, and creamy.

I have ordered a cake 2 days before my boyfriend’s birthday and wanted to give him a surprise. I ordered a birthday cake on phone and informed them I would like two macarons on the top with some simple but nice, creative design for a mature gentalman around 30 years old, for his birthday celebration.

And this is what I received. I just can not understand why a really nice reviewed pastry shop can sell this birthday cake to their customer. Even they themselves probably feel it is not a nice presented cake. Even the macaron on the top was not clean, with some chocolate sauce.

Every customer should be respected and nice treated. If you don’t like it, why you think your customer should like it. No one called or confirmed with me if I am okay with the design even I preordered on Sunday for Tuesday’s pick up.

The taste of the cake is not bad, this is why I listened to others’ recommendation and choose this pastry shop for my boyfriend’s birthday cake. Their customer service was also nice, both in person or on phone. I, myself am a customer service professional and I appreciate their nice service. But I really can not accept that they sell this product to their customers.

This is a warning for everyone, please make sure you deliver all the message to this shop about what do you want for a birthday cake. Otherwise you might feel very disappointed when you receive what they make for you by their assumptions.

This cafe has the most delicious cheesecake i’ve ever had. It’s literally the BEST. The atmosphere is pretty amazing as well. I can tell that they’re doing their best to keep it clean. Besides, the washroom is awesome. I’ll definitely be returning.

The best cafe experiences I've had by far. Hot chocolate on point, coffee amazing and all the sweets incredible. The savory scone is delicious. If you're looking for something sweet, I recommend their toffee pudding with the orange ice cream, as well as their cheesecake

The best Americano coffee I've had in Victoria. Lightly roasted, nutty and some cocoa in the flavour. I hear they use Fernwood Coffee.

Me and my family love this place! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the desserts were PHENOMENAL. Probably the best creme brulee and tiramisu we have ever had!

Love too much this place all the fat all the time you want real VB pastry go here but go early they sell out on sunny days

The carrot cake was the most amazing carrot cake ever had. I don’t know what their secret is, but wow. The chai latte was good too, as was the pastries we tried. Would be happy to come back should we find ourselves in Victoria again.

I liked the lychee cake; it was full of texture and the fruity flavour wasn't overpowering. The passionfruit chocolate tart was ok, the tartshell was too soft, not a very firm cookie crust. We had a mocha to go with our decadent desserts.

This is such a light-filled lovely place, I absolutely love going for the aesthetics as well as the tea, coffee, treats.

Stopped in here on Thursday last week and was looking to order a small sponge cake for the next day. I had read the reviews and it looked favorable.it also appears on the website that the sponge cake is one of their ´staple´ cakes. There were two girls behind the counter. When I asked if they had a small sponge cake the first girl asked if I wanted it for « today »? I said no for tomorrow. This seemed to cause great confusion and she went to the back to see if that was possible. The 2nd girl then asked us some further questions and unlike the first seemed to want to try to accommodate us. Then the first girl returned and told us all their orders for the next day were already full. There was a dialogue between the two girls with the first one overriding the second one. It was a final decision. We left feeling a bit bewildered. If there is something there’s no shortage of in Victoria, it’s bakeries staffed by helpful people wanting your business. Sadly this didn’t seem to be the case here on this particular day.

Delicious and authentic cake and pastries, the shop is beautifully decorated and the coffee was perfect. All around excellent place for real French style baking and pastries.

Wonderful staff. So helpful, arrived with my grandson in a stroller to pick up a cake. It was so beautiful I was scared to take it and carry it while pushing stroller. I went and got my car and parked across the street called them and they delivered it to the car. (ps: the cake was delicious)

La Roux is one of our favourite places in town so there was never really any other option for us to get our wedding cake from. Rebecca and the rest of the staff are all so sweet and were super easy to work with. We had a tasting beforehand and Rebecca was so patient with us because we really had no idea what we wanted. She was full of ideas and we ended up having the best earl grey cake with an assortment of macarons that were a huge hit with our guests. Everything was so delicious and looked so so beautiful. Rebecca also went out of her way to contact our florist directly and pick up flowers for the cake that matched my bouquet. This was such a special and personal touch that meant so much to us. She also personally delivered everything to the venue the morning of the wedding so that neither of us or our bridal party or families had to worry about anything that morning. I didn’t even need to think about the cake because before I could, I had a message from Rebecca wishing me a happy wedding day and letting me know that the cake and macarons were already downstairs ready for the evening. As always, I was SO impressed with La Roux and their amazing service and product.

Delicious pastries, especially the passion fruit tart and the salted caramel pastry! The staff was warm and accommodating. We'll come back for sure!

Patisserie ist one of the better values around. Delectable pastries that remind me of France. Super friendly staff, extremely helpful with choices and there are many. A must in Chinatown.
