It was New Year's eve when my boyfriend and myself went there. It was busy everywhere but when we came in to the restaurant, we were greeted with smiles from crews and they immediately found a table for us to sit. Service was excellent. The fact that owners/chef went table to table to ask how the food was, was amazing and the food was beautiful and tasty! Will definitely go back for more

We went not once but twice yesterday. Fantastic owners and staff. We had a blast with them (and a Limoncello.) One of us is Gluten free so we had three specific pizza orders - all were right out of Italy. We also took home a lot of leftovers. They have only been open since November and it was busy when we went back later in the night for pizza. Can't imagine how busy they will be when the tourists start to roll in. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed but we decided to hang at the long counter and watch the Wood Burning Pizza oven in action. Do yourself a favour and support local by eating at this authentic location in Kelowna.

Amazing food and service! Our pizzas were so tasty. One of the best gluten free bases my partner has had. Will be back next time were in town.

I can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! This was my first visit and I will definitely be back!

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Such friendly and welcoming owners and staff. I had the arugula salad and one of there pizzas. The salad was so fresh with wonderful flavours. My pizza was fantastic! They do not skimp on their toppings and it was perfectly cooked. Their pizzas are large enough to share!

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

If you are near by, on a date, a meeting, or a casual get together, you need to try this place.

We heard about La Vela Pizzeria through word of mouth from colleagues and I must say, they were correct.

Me and my sister came in for lunch while we were in town and got the Gnocco Fritto which I must say is absolutely amazing, fried dough? Can never go wrong, but to elaborate more, they are pillows of love that are tastefully salty, yet have a hint of sweetness from the fermentation of the dough. Next time I come in I'd definitely get the antipasto additions! 10/10

For pizza we got the Margherita di Bufala, and I will say, words can't describe this pizza, you need to try it. Mozzarella di bufala can now always go on my pizzas. I wouldn't suggest eating this pizza with your hands, but using a fork and knife made it feel a bit more elevated.
We normally always have leftovers when we go for lunch, but this day we had nothing left, we even tried scraping the sauce off the plates. An incredible experience.

And best of all, both these Fantastic plates only cost us around 25$ and fed both of us. We were happily satisfied and surprisingly shocked with the price of this meal.

Great place to have dinner! Went here for pizza, pasta, and wine to celebrate end of tax season and left with a belly full limoncello shots! The owner is a very nice guy and we enjoyed his company very much!

La Vela is a must-try if you’re a pizza lover. Located in the heart of downtown, it is a great spot to have an Italian feast with the family, or grab a beer, eat a pizza, and watch sports on the 75” TVs behind the bar. It’s a great family atmosphere as it’s a family-run place.

However, the star is the pizza. Traditional wood fire, Neapolitan style with fresh toppings and tangy sauce. Just recently coming back from a month-long trip to Italy, I can safely say this pizza stacks up. The dough has a good texture but is still soft to eat. The tomato sauce has the right balance of tangy and sweet.

Don’t miss this spot.

We shall return to try other items off of their menu. Highly recommend

Tried La Vela Pizzeria for the first time today. We had the
Delizia (sweet & spicy)
Soppressata salami, red onion, ricotta, honey, spicy oil.
It was absolutely delicious! Will deffinetly try another kind another day. Very nice shop, very nice people.

Amazing pizza. Just go here and eat it you won’t be disappointed. We had the melon prosciutto and then the diavola and margherita with buffalo cheese. Our little family of four ate every last bite of the pizzas.
