Found a chair only one we liked in stock on the island. I wanted two the same. $1399 ea take 20% off cost $1121.plus tax Call North Van La-Z-Boy franchise they have same chairs none in same material They're price $1179 no tax. Seems quite the price difference if there wasn't a weekend sale on.

Staff at the Nanaimo store are knowledgeable, polite and helpful. They were able to answer all my questions, answer a few I didn’t know to ask, leave me time to browse alone and help me out with both price and scheduling when done. Thanks guys; looking forward to my new comfy chair!
Sales service was excellent. Furniture looks good. However, I will not purchase from there again due to high cost. Quality compared to less expensive brands does not justify high cost.
Ordered a whole new living room of furniture.couch, 4 chairs, rug and table. Had issues with the couch but everything was dealt with very well. Pam was awesome!
Initially upon entering this store we were treated very warmly and professionally. Pam was exceptionally nice and boasted about Lazy Boys Top customer service and customer satisfaction. We did buy a couch that day. The day they said our couch would be delivered we stayed home all day waiting and our couch did not arrive. I called the store and Pam was so sincerely apologetic that she offered me free delivery and a $100 store credit. When our couch did arrive we knew instantly that we had made a mistake. It did not suite our house or our living room. It was more of an entertainment couch made for a media room. Pam called that afternoon and I told her I wasn’t sure we would keep it and that I knew I had 7 days in which to decide. Her tone completely changed. Not the friendly lady anymore. The next week I called the store 6 times to try to arrange a day that they could come pick up the couch so I could return it. They were not interested in talking to me. They kept passing the buck. Finally after 6 calls arrangements were made for the couch to be picked up. Two weeks later they still had not refunded me. Again I had to call the store a few times to try to get my money back. Maybe they wanted to keep my money to make month end on their sales. I am not giving Lazy Boy a bad name. I have lots of furniture from there. It’s just THIS store I would stay away from.
Our experience is with La-Z-Boy in Nanaimo. The sales person (Deb) was very friendly and helpful. She worked with my wife to come up with the material. We purchased two chairs with her help. Good experience overall.

I was greeted at the door by incredibly inviting staff, and were willing to show me around the store to meet the needs I was looking for. Rose was incredible and listened to exactly what I needed and found the right living room set for me. Can't say enough. Within a week I had my furniture and couldn't be happier.

I like the quality of their furniture. That it is made in North America. The sales person was very patient and knowledgeable. There was a sale which helped.
They have a wonderful selection of recliners, rockers that recline, regular chairs that recline. And they come in various sizes so you can find one that fits you. Their electric recliners work beautifully giving you complete flexibility to adjust it to the exact position for maximum comfort. They even have a back up battery system incase you are in the chair and the power goes out! Somebody was thinking. Sandor was the salesperson that assisted us and he was wonderful with my Mom. Gave her all the options and made sure she understood them and spoke loudly to accommodate her hearing loss. I would recommend Sandor in a heart beat, thank you very much for making chair shopping fun and Mom was able to make a knowledgeable purchase with you assistance.
Probably one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. Walked in excited to look for new furniture, walked out with a complex. Went to The Brick and had a great experience! Very welcoming and helpful, and happily spent about 6k there on furniture. Dear LaZboy, treat every single customer that walks into your store with respect, even if you don't smell a fat commission. Word of mouth travels fast, remember that.
We found some great living room pieces with the gracious and thorough assistance of Anthony Burns at the Nanaimo, BC location. He was knowledgeable, creative, and super pleasant. He walked us through several possible configurations, and helped us land on a terrific choice. Also, the showroom was easily navigated and featured a lot of quality pieces.
Several sales staff in the store went out of their way to look for the specific item I was looking for which was more home decor rather than a furniture item. Very friendly and helpful staff at the Nanaimo store.
This is the second time in the last five years that I have worked with Alicia Appleton to buy furniture from Lazboy. Once again, she was very helpful in assisting me to choose the right pieces, fabric and protection plan. She was very good at her job the first time, but she has really grown into it now. I find her to be very personable and never feel pressured by her, which I really appreciate. I would never hesitate to recommend working with Alicia to a family member or a friend, and have always thought highly of the Lazboy products and protection plan.

I have nothing but good things to say regarding the repair done to two recliners. We purchase these recliners almost ten years ago and loved them well. I am not a light weight man and had worn but the chairs out. The mechanisms had come apart. I sat in both chairs until literally they wouldn't work anymore. We took them to La-Z-Boy in Nanaimo on Friday and returned today to bring them home. They have exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much.
The store is lovely and full of great furnishings and we were greeted by a lady at the door-we said we were looking and would call her over if we had any questions. As we looked she kept bugging us-probably 4 or 5 times-must be commission sales as she was def pushy. Didnt make me want to buy from them.

I bought all the furniture from living room to bedroom from La-Z-Boy, some furniture are pretty good so far, but some furniture have already shown slight damage. I have a few furniture from another shop and I am using them the same way but those ones are still in good condition. I have paid 499 or 799 (I cannot remember the exact number) maintenance fee for the furniture. The salesman said whenever there are stains on the chairs or sofa I can call the service. But ironically when they were cleaning my sofa with ball pen stains they said they did that as a courtesy. I also want to mention that they tried three times to put my bed parts together and I have to sleep without a bed for a couple of days because they said they are unfamiliar with the bed model. However I didn’t make any complaint about that since at least they are friendly and are willing to solve the problem. Never go back again.
Geoff at nanaimo lazyboy has contacted me regarding a previous review. The previous owners that I was dealing with are not there anymore and geoff was very understanding and helpful. I had a very unfortunate experience with the previous owners, and was treated very poorly.
I appreciate the follow up from geoff, and the amount of care he gave me when we spoke. He has offered to send a technician and is trying to help me. Geoff does have great communication and seems honestly interested in the situation. Big change from last year when I tried to deal with this company.
Geoff has exceptional customer service and this company should be thankful to have him as the comfort care manager in nanaimo.
However, I am still not satisfied with the product but Geoff has made me feel cared about.
Great furniture store. I own a Lay Z Boy, except it is from the 1960s and has been reupholstered like 3 times. This store is nice and Lay Z Boy has some quality items that tend to last a long time, hence the 1960 recliner. But it is not cheap. They are fairly expensive. Like $1200 and up for a Recliner. The one in the picture is over $3200. The one thing I do not like is the sales people, Pressure, pressure, pressure. I can see the items, and I can see the prices, I do not need some one that works on commission to stand over me like a helicopter parent standing over their child. I am quite capable of making my own decisions. "take my card, here here. Take it so when you come back I can help you and make the commissions off the sale. "
I was directed to the warehouse for a spring replacement for my recliner. The recliner is not a lazy boy brand but they gave me spring that “might work” and it surely did. No charge! Great looking new store by the way.
I only have positive things to say about my recent shopping experience at La-Z-Boy in Nanaimo. The new store is spacious and full of beautiful and tempting pieces of furniture and decor. Michelle never pushed or rushed me; she listened thoughtfully and made the consultation fun and easy. I was very happy with the results and can't wait for my new loveseat to arrive!
Soon after arriving at La-Z-Boy Furnishings their consultant named Michelle was on hand to point out that the chair I had picked out was just too big for me and then took us around the store showing us the various features of different chairs. Patiently she waited and explained each one. I am not sure how many hours she spent with us but it wasn't fifteen minutes! She was extremely helpful leaving us to talk between ourselves on occasion and always close enough to answer any questions we had. There was definitely no high pressure sales talk. I would highly recommend this store to my friends and especially Michelle whose knowledge of these chairs was extremely helpful. Thanks to Michelle we purchased two perfectly fitting lazy boys, one for each of us. ……. Pat P.
Purchased $12,000 sofa, two chairs, two lamps a table and some cushions. Service was great until we took delivery.the seams in the sofa don't line up across the back or across the seat cushions. The upholstery guy came today. Tried to tell me that course fabric rubs and creates the lack of alignment. I had texted a picture of the issue a couple weeks ago, he brought a picture of a showroom model with a mild misalignment suggesting that we had seen that model. His boss will get back to me to see if they might do something about this. The sofa alone was almost $6,000. You tell me if this is acceptable. The product needs to match the pre-purchase service and delivery.the mistake we made was accepting the sofa after the delivery and assembly guys tried but couldn't make it right. I sent message and pics right away. Had to wait three weeks for the upholstery guy to come by today. No satisfaction yet. I'll adjust the rating when they deal with this.
Michelle went over and above her remit to assist me and was more helpful than I can say. Pleasant, knowledgeable and not pushy in any way. I was very impressed and would go to her again if the need calls.

At the La-Z-Boy in Nanaimo, we had a great experience at their new store. Bruce spent so much time to help us choose the right furniture. Their in home design team with Christine also helped so much in choosing fabrics and patterns. They also showed us our floor plan on their CAD platform to show what pieces of furniture fit in our room. Top notch service and expertise. We also got lots of hot buy and discounts - we are excited to enjoy our new living room!
On Feb. 16,1019 my husband Dennis and I purchased a sofa bed from Lazy Boy furniture. We were met at the door by warm, friendly Michelle who immediately offered us a delicious coffee on a cold snowy day! Michelle was VERY easy to talk to, informative, accommodating, fun, and enthusiastic with no pressure! It had been our second visit and we were delighted to return to buy a sofa bed from her. Customer service was exceptional and we would return to see her again anytime!
