Lakeview Inns & Suites - Fort Nelson

I've traveled the Alcan from the US to Alaska and back nine times now, and stayed in all manner of accommodations. To say that Lakeview surpassed my expectations is an understatement. I was completely surprised to find a clean, spacious, well-appointed room free from any of the kinds of cheap and deteriorated construction materials that dominate most places along the road. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, even to my two dogs. They also seemed long-accustomed to dealing with Alcan travelers. The hotel itself was very quiet, although that may be a result of traveling over Christmas and not the height of summer tour season.

Bottom line, this is where I will stay from now on when passing through Fort Nelson and it will be a much- anticipated restful stop.

We stay there with our two dogs during our PCS trip. Everything was clean and comfortable!
