Landmark Cinemas Courtenay

I took my daughter to see the Barbie movie and we had a great time together. We showed up after the credits started and the front clerk made sure we got everything we needed. He was very polite and made us feel so welcome. The reclining leather seats are so comfortable, like at home. It is always better when you watch a movie on the big screen. Love it!

Went and saw the Thor movie, which was AWESOME! Concession was fast, staff are friendly & the seats are AMAZING! So good in fact my date fell asleep in the recliner. Will definitely be back!

The staff were so understanding and helpful. I was confused about how to use on line ticket purchases.it was explained in a courteous and helpful manner. Then I tripped on the stairway, spilling my popcorn.much to my embarrassment. No problem. I was offered more popcorn and helped up by concerned staff. Thank you for making my movie time a happy experience.

EDIT: My previous review complained of the terrible seats but they have since (finally) replaced them with large reclining seats that are fantastic. They have also switched to reserved seating, and you can order everything ahead of time (You should) through the Atom App, including your food. This has brought the review from a 1 star to a 4 star, the only thing they need to improve to bring it to 5 would be some better sound isolation between theater rooms; as you can sometimes hear explosions or music from the show next door if your movie is at a quiet spot.

Overall, very good change and I'm glad to see it happen, I will be going to this theater a lot more often now!

Seats are very comfortable! I stopped going to the movies years ago because the seats were so uncomfortable but now that there's recliners, I've been going once a month!

Great Cinema. Staff were friendly, snacks were great and seats were comfy. Will come back for sure.

Brought my two son's to see Bad Guys as they were really looking forward to it. Counter attendant was very much disinterested in customer service. Felt like he was only willing to give the bare minimum in service to get us what we paid for. A smile and a friendly tone go a long way, they are free to give and make the entertainment experience a lot happier. I felt though that this was a bit too much to ask from this server.

One big upside of this cinema still is seating, it is much more comfortable than the old Campbell River Landmark theater seating. Makes the whole experience soo much nicer to be able to recline to watch the movie and put up one arm rest to give more seating space.

Worth going for a movie here but it is hit or miss with the service.

Good value now that movies worth seeing on the big screen are upwards of three hours now and the nice big seats.
