Parking was hard to find, but the trip was worth it! The place has a chill vibe with no hard selling. But the real highlight was Elton—was super patient, helpful, and just an all around great guy to talk to that I was happy to get a cruiser.
FYI in case anyone is wondering, there’s no arcade any more (not that I could see). It’s just wall to wall skate and cycling stuff. Wish I could have gotten a bike! Their frames look sick.
Just picked up a new gravel bike. Blake and the guys in the store are fantastic, they live and breath bikes! Pleasure doing business with them and supporting some locals. Thanks again guys.
I've been to this store a number of times for purchase and service of their AB 1 gravel bike and it's always been awesome! Today they managed to fit in 45 minutes to fix a broken derailleur without an appointment.
Every time I’ve pick my bike up from Landyachtz after a tune up it is noticeably better, smoother, faster, funner. Excellent service, knowledgeable and communicative. They tuned and serviced my E-Bike with a quick turn over (In January, they are much busier in the summer). When I emailed about servicing they informed me upfront that they were only able to perform work on the mechanical components of the bike and cannot service any of the electrical systems. Gave me a quote the same day I dropped off my bike and began work once I confirmed I agreed to the work being done. Reasonable price for a tune up. I was thrilled when they gave me a loaner bike while mine was in the shop. I really enjoyed riding the Landyachtz bicycle. However, the bike seat hurt my butt! I think I’m getting too used to my phat cushy e-bike seat.
I don't 'board I just bike, but these folks are the only show 'round here I trust to fix a flat that lasts for more than a few months.the atmosphere is nice too, and so are the folks who work there.
I came in and bought some bearings for my skateboard, which the threads are super beat up on. One employee really put in sweat and blood to grind them down and replace my bearings for me
Not having popped my titanium cherry before, I was clueless and merely wanted a custom titanium gravel bike. What they built me was the equivalent of a Lamborghini Urus on two wheels. Seriously, this thing is fast and rides & handles beyond my wildest expectation! The whole process from start to finish was seamless, easy, and pressure-free! Blake, Adrian & the team flawlessly executed the entire process from start to finish, and what came out was PERFECTION.
Fixed up my bike on last minute notice, quickly, professionally and for a great price! Only $29 to fix my issue and they cleaned the bike up as well. Great service, won't go anywhere else- thanks!
Highly skilled and knowledgeable staff that really impressed me with their mountain bike service and sales capabilities. Thanks gang! I really appreciate having a local shop that carries the parts and can fix my various bikes without having to drive all over town for service.
Probably the greatest board shop on the planet. I feel like a kid in a candy shop whenever I'm here. The staff are top notch and never pressure you to buy anything. Only ever shopped for boards, but most of the staff have been skating for a while so they have tons of experience/technical know-how. A real shame that I only discovered the hobby midway into 2020, looks like the shop used to have a super chill "hangout" setup complete with arcade machines and a half pipe. If you read this and decide to drop by, look for Reese and tell him Nathan sent you.
Fantastic experience shopping for a new longboard. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and took their time with me going through all the choices. I tried a few "demos" out first before deciding and I am stoked about my choice. Best money I have spent in a while.
I've been a customer of Landyachtz for years and honestly I have only good experiences. For well over a decade, every landyachtz employee I've interacted with has gone out of their way to help me with whatever I needed and I am friends with many past and present LY people now. Owners Mike and Tom are good people and this is a great company.
A Great place to Learn how to skateboard and progress. Very supportive atmosphere. Friendly staff well knowledgeable and skilled bike mechanics they'll fix your bike for a affordable price.
Great store! Fixed my bike in no time, and it didn't cost very much $. Super helpful, super knowledgeable. Also, they had a 'loaner' bike for me to get back to work while my bike was being worked on! Thumbs up!
I had a bike situation where I needed to use an allen key to open my electric's bike compartment on my way home and didn't have the tool. I popped in here and the person who greeted me, was able to lend me an allen key. The place was so helpful and friendly (:
I love landyachtz boards and had made a special side trip from the US to visit here, but the factory left me underwhelmed. Visited it in January 2018 with my daughter who is a big fan of their boards. There wasn't anything special about the factory.it was a well stocked with Landyacthz boards, but nothing unique there. The workers there were nice, but they were bike people and couldn't talk specifically about the boards. I was asking them about their reclamation series which are super cool, but the worker they didn't know much about these. There were no sales, and no factory seconds. There was nothing there that you can't get online or at a skateshop, and definitely nothing customizable. The workers were fine, but not particularly friendly or interested in helping us. If I contrast this to a skateboard factory in Tacoma Washington USA.at that factory, they toured my daughter around the facilities and helped her pick out and build her own unique board out of their parts and some cool factory seconds. The workers at that factory took time out to make a little girl happy and excited about a board. Was hoping for a similar experience from Landyachtz and was disappointed. Maybe I just went on the wrong day or the workers couldn't take time out from their bike repairs, but I was bummed out.
Was in to get my handlebar wrapped today. The fellow who did the wrapping was super nice although he had difficulty doing it right the first time. He offered to replace my Brooks wrap and redid the job. What ensued was beyond the pale. His coworker, Jackson, overheard the conversation and decided to interfere by first, making me feel bad for helping steady the bike. He said that I should have left his coworker to work by so as to not stress him out into making mistakes. Second, he said that wrapping the bar was a complicated job and that I should have left my bike there and pick it up on another day. I told him that they could have turned me away in the first place if that was the case when I said I would be happy to wait. The fellow who worked on my bike told him not to pay any mind and that he was fine. If I were the manager, I would let the mechanic Jackson go or send him to some training on customer service. What an awful attitude! Furthermore, if wrapping a handlebar is considered a complicated job then he shouldn’t have anything to do with bikes. Most YouTube videos show how it’s done in less that 5 minutes.
Wait.why is it called Landyachtz Bikes now? It used to be called the “Landyachtz Factory Store”. I hope Landyachtz keeps its focus on longboard and cruiser boards. The shop is very interesting and has a huge complete selection of skateboards, along with a vert, arcade and pinball machines. The place is chillax, people are chillax. I hope they allow customer to test the board outside, instead of just inside the shop, I wouldn’t mind leaving a credit card or driver’s license on hold if they let me.
