Laque Nail Bar

I visited Laque Nail Bar on December 1st, 2023. I was leaving on a cruise the following day and my regular salon owner was on vacation. I appreciated the fact that Laque offered the ability to book online, hence the extra star. The people were friendly enough, but not overly so.

I have been doing hard gel fills with gel polish for well over 2 years now at my regular salon. I typically go anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks in between and when I do go in, my nails look exactly as they did the first day, plus growth. I'm not sure what I expected at Laque, but I certainly didn't expect to have to return to my regular salon on December 10th to have them re-done because they were lifting and looking absolutely horrible (see photos - this was just over one week in). Beyond that, I am not overly OCD but even I could tell that none of the nails had the same shape. I will not be returning to Lacque and unfortunately cannot recommend them, at least not for a hard gel fill with gel polish.

Laque nail bar is always able to get me in for an appointment quickly and appointments are quick and they do a great job!

I’ve only had great experiences here. Mina is amazing! She is very patient, friendly and detail oriented. I love getting to come in and get my nails done by her. They always look fantastic!

Was not impressed with the service. My pedicure was rushed and the removal
of dry skin was not thorough at all, the massage did not even last 3 minutes for both feet and only up to my ankles, and the pricing for the add-on polish was so vague that I ended up paying more than what I wanted and more than what was deserved.

I’ve had way better service for much less.

I’m absolutely happy with the service at Laque nail salon every time I come here. Everyone is so friendly and professional with great attention to details. Mina is very skilled and speedy in her job and I love the result at the end. Venous is really friendly and nice with great customer service. The salon is clean and nice. All in all, highly recommended!

I love this place as they offer a great selection of non toxic options both regular polish and gel! Which is fabulous. I don't think we have any other nail bar on the North Shore that offers that. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. Def recommend!

I highly recommend Laque Nail bar, Staff are professional and friendly, it is a very nice environment and they treat you very well.

On their website it says a spa pedicure is $42. I got charged $47 and when I asked why it wasn’t $42, the lady said they’ve increased the price a long time ago. I then followed up and asked why they haven’t updated their website. She didn’t answer my question and just said it’s $47 now. I also pointed out the price they listed at the store is showing $45 not $47.

I also got my brows tinted? I wouldn’t recommend going there for a tinting, my eye brows look exactly the same because all she did was dye the eye brow hair, it’s not like brow bars where they do a full tint to shape your brow. Nails turned out nice, the girl that did them was really sweet. I wanted to get extensions but the owner said she didn’t have time, not sure why because they had no one in the shop and took a walk in pedi while I was there. Probably won’t go back unfortunately.

Edited May 24th as a response to your response, you actually called me and shouted at me though the phone about this. You never said you were the only one that does extensions, if you had I would have been very understanding and wouldn’t have cared, but you didn’t. I’m a very understanding person and never leave poor reviews. Also, I have gotten my eyebrows tinted before, they did not turn out like they did when you did them, you don’t do them like a full blown brow bar does. My eye browns are not that thin.

I have now changed my review to a 1 star after this response and the very unprofessional phone call I received from you. I will not be going back to this salon.

My husband is having surgery and I was told to go relax and come back in a few hours. So I looked at all the reviews and decided to go here. Walk in. Took my name and number, and my appointment time.
Waited outside for my appointment. It was warm. So I asked if I could wait inside.
I was told no. Because it was a private party. Understandable.
So I left to walk in the area Then I was called and told my appointment was now no longer available. Not a great first experience. Especially given my day.

I’ve been going to this salon off and on for a few years and this was my first time getting my nails done by Mina and she was incredible! She was so kind and helpful, I never felt rushed and she took the time to really ensure I was happy with my choice. She was also super detailed to ensure my nails were done perfectly!

The salon is clean and spacious with very friendly staff. Every time I’ve been there the salon owner (I think that’s her? !) has always been there as well to help out where needed:)

Excellent nail bar! I always leave feeling happy with the final result of my nails. They are very professional and have lots of experience. The customer service is always very friendly as well. I'd definitely recommend this place.

My go-to place for non-toxic gel manicure! Everyone was super sweet and attentive to detail. Loved my nails, the picture from my second visit, done by Poline. Definitely returning and highly recommend:)

This place is all about healthy nails! You are welcomed by a peaceful looking place.i’m pregnant, no harsh smells! This was a plus for me, my nose don’t take anything chemicals, painless and well done service.

Venoos did a fantastic job on my mani and pedi. The nail salon is very clean. The staff are super professional. They served us tea and chocolate during our treatment! I wish we had a great nail salon like this in Burnaby! I will be back again. ️

What to expect: you can book online, a reasonable price, wide selection of nontoxic -vegan nail polish (gel as well), skilled staff. I recommend here If you looking for lovely, clean, cozy, friendly nail salon.

Thanks for the great service. My daughter and her friends had a blast celebrating her 8th birthday at the Laque Nail Bar. Venus was very accommodating with all the kids’ endless requests and made sure everyone was happy during the two hours there. The salon itself is very beautiful and modern as well. I strongly recommend this place for a fun girly birthday party!

This salon has more gel colours than any other salon and it is no secret I love this salon. That always take exceptional care of me and make the experience memorable.

I am a huge nail salon hopper, but finally I've found the one! The salon is so beautiful with a wonderful ambience and my technician was so friendly and professional. I really appreciated getting to choose something to watch on TV while my service was being done, a nice cherry on top of a great experience. I will definitely return! Such an amazing experience. This nail bar is so clean and the staff are very on-time. Big open space so no one is too close to each other during the pandemic. It was so relaxing and I definitely will go back.

We came here to start off the celebration for my sis 22 st birthday.it was awesome! The staff is friendly and they do a great job.very clean and professional.we love the atmosphere.the whole experience was great.

This salon is the cutest and cleanest salon I've been to.they do non toxic gel manicure which i loved. It lasted 3 weeks.they are a high end salon.there is even a coffee shop inside the salon. I will definitely come back.

This nail spot is incredible, what's even better is their customer service. If client isn't 100% happy, they'll go at of their way to fix the problem.
