Larry Berg Flight Path Park

Somewhere to pull in a relax for a bit, picnic tables are here. Bench for people, photo area for those airplane shots coming and going. Little mini runway for kids with a big earth globe to run on.

Nice place to catch flights taking off and landing. Unfortunately the takeoff was from the other parallel runway so it's further away. Landing is from the ocean side so you may not catch much unless you have a large lens to zoom into

Charming little park with miniature runways and picnic tables practically adjacent to the airport where you can have a picnic directly under the landing path of airplanes at YVR.

It's not really good place to enjoy airplane spotting if the North runway is in use at YVR. When I visit here, Almost all aircraft was landing on North runway. It's definitely good place to bring kids though.

It’s a nice small park. The bigger planes tend to us the other runway but nonetheless it’s calming

I expected to see the planes landing because it is very close to the airport, but it is not like that.however it is beautiful to see the sunset.

Small little park under the YVR flight path. Cool for aviation enthusiasts who like to watch planes fly low overhead. Parking for 10 or so cars but no facilities. Don't go there expecting a bathroom. Especially with little kids. Very small park, not more than a couple hundred feet or so in any direction. Has a few picnic tables and a sculpture or 2. If you like watching planes its a great spot.

Love, love, love this park! Depending on the day, you can spot a lot of departures directly overhead, but that's not typically the case in my experience. You'd be better off going to the viewing platform by the south terminal if you really want to watch departures, however the park is well maintained, has plenty of picnic tables and benches, lovely grassy areas to lay down a blanket and it's breezy enough to always feel comfortable even on warmer days. It's spacious so you never feel packed in. There's ample room for everyone and it seems people make use of the garbage and recycling bins provided near the parking area, so it's clean too. If you do want to use the picnic tables, I'd only recommend bringing a plastic table cover because birds will answer the call of nature and don't really care that it's a picnic table and not a toilet. Great park though and you don't need to be a kid to absolutely love it.

A nice place see the planes land/takeoff. And a best place to watch the sunset.

Park was great, date was great, but it all ended so strange.

This girl and I matched on hinge and had been talking for a minute by the time we went out. Hinge did a good job. We agreed on alot, we disagreed respectfully a few times. Awesome. We went to Boston pizza, the meal was rad, she asked me to sit on the same side of the table. She was a little handsy, but nothing rude, head on my shoulder hand on my knee type of thing so I was getting a good vibe. We left and I was driving her home, near the park so I told her she was lucky to live so near because I love to come here and watch planes. She got excited and suggested we grabbed a couple joints and went to do that, so we did. We sat and watched planes and listened to Craig David and smoked a couple doinks down, the sky midnight sky was clear, the airport lights were bright. Again, things were going really well, she was touchy and rubbing my arm but I hadn't gotten clear consent so I decided, this was my time to ask "can I. " she cut me off, maybe even started talking at the same time, and she asked "what's your sign? " I said "pisces. " She immediately sat straight and away from me and sternly said "I can't date another pisces, this will never work, you're a trickster. Please take me home. " I giggled, so she said again "please take me home. " So I quickly fired up my truck and drove her home. In silence. My silence because of amazement. Hers, I'm not too sure. Then she sat in my truck smoking for a few minutes outside of her house.still in silence but with Craig David still playing.so I asked her to get out of my truck, she did, and I left. I never returned a call or message again. I still can't wrap my head around it. We even discussed red flags in texts before meeting.

Nice park at the end of a runway. Good place to sit and do some plane watching. It’s a lovely park! Good place for sunset as well!

Nice little park to see runways and planes. The newly planted cherry trees are a great sight in Spring.

Loop around for more parking.

Now is the best time to visit this park since you can have the cherry blossom for your pictures too.
Usually people come here for the plane watching but the air quality is not so good. It's better to visit here not the busy time because the parking is not enough.

Nice park at the end of a runway. Good place to sit and do some plane watching. However, not that many planes takeoff from this runway so you have to sit for a while to see a couple of planes.

Very nice park that is not crowded and fun for kids while watching airplanes take off. Just a little inconvenient if you're taking the bus/SkyTrain.

A good observation point to see planes. Easy parking and seating. However, the park is facing the runway that are all private or small jets. You will not able to see big jets fly through overhead. I hope YVR can build another area for seeing planes next to the other runway.

Great park for planes observations. Has small globe for kids. Lot of information texts. There is miniature of YVR landing strips. Parking is good, has benches to sit on.

Real fun to watch planes up close, prefer a small playground and few picnic tables maybe.watch out for bugs especially sunset hours

Cute little park right under the YVR flight path. The little ones will have fun watching all the planes for sure. Parking lot very small and right off a busy road so be sure to keep a good eye out for kids.

Great place to watch to planes take off and land. There is a globe that portrays flight paths around the world, its huge and can easily hold a gaggle of youngins. Information boards with enough words, if read in order, explain the airport and whatnot. No washrooms, dogs on leash, some picnic spots, no shade.

Great place to see planes take off from the south runway and picnic tables all over spread out. The view is amazing and the sunsets are nothing short of incredible. Perfect for kids and grown-up alike and a chance to walk on the rubber globe of the world.

Small, but neat and clean. Watch airplane flying over your head. Some picnic tables available too.

Used to come here often years ago to ‘practice riding my bike’. Still love it, especially with the cherry blossom blooms each year

A great place to stop and eat. There are tables and chairs provided, so no need to bring seating. The landing planes go right over your head, which is a surreal experience. At less busy times, there are also information boards to learn more about the planes and the airport. The one thing that bothers me is how there is zero shade, so definitely bring sunscreen on a sunny day.

Decent place to watch planes. There are quite a few benches and even some picnic tables as well. Overall, you will see the smaller turbo prop planes land and fly above you from this spot. The larger wide body planes were landing on the northern runway so you couldn't quite see them at all.

A family favorite of ours to visit at sunset. The park can make for some amazing pictures and is right underneath the flight path landing at yvr south terminal so plane watching is in your face. Off to the side is million air where you can sometimes see private jets come and go and also a heliport where helicopters come and go often. My kids absolutely love all aircraft so right now it's one of our places to go.

A good park with some benches and lots of cherry blossom in the spring time. As you’d expect from the name, a lot of planes fly over which is very cool.

Good place to play for a little bit and watch airplanes go by. The kids love the globe that they can climb and and jump on.

Not the best time to go with Covid as there are so many less flights right now. Nothing to do here if plane are not flying. Nice looking open area with a few benches at a small area with some facts to read about on partitions. But not really a park.
My daughter loves to point out planes though so we'll probably go back when travel is back and we're passing by. I wouldn't make a trip out of it though.

Love this park. Lots of benches nicely spaced out. And you can watch the planes at YVR take off and land which is pretty cool. Love whole aviation theme and the little runways

Great place to look at planes and take a walk. One of the best places for people who like aviation.

It was a rainy day, I went with my mate to have a bite and watch some planes, it's a quiet place with not much going on, I liked it, it was relaxing

Great place to go for a little time to yourself or a fun place to take the kids for a short break.

You can have your lunch and watch the planes land it's pretty cool there are no rest rooms there.

Put some swings in and jazz the place up a bit. Nothing for kids to do while waiting for airplanes.

I'm an airplane but, this park is great. Right off the end of the runway, I could spend the day watching planes take off and land. If you're not into planes, you could skip this one.

This park is great for any time and any season! Wonderful view of the airplanes taking off/landing.

Your liking of this will depend on how much you enjoy watching planes landing. Good if you do! Could use some shade-casting objects though.

Nice little park on the way to the South Terminal at YVR. Great place for planespotting. Note there are no washrooms but there's a McDonalds a minute away.

It's a nice park near the airport. The whole design of it resembles the airport so that's cool.

A very nice recreational area just outside of the fence. It is regularly maintained and relatively calm. It is lined up with Runway 08R (departure) and 26L (arrival), heavy passenger jets can be seen at a low attitude at night whilst taking off.

It was fun for the kids but a little disappointing because very few planes actually pass overhead.

Nice place. It has lots of grass area and seating to make yourself comfortable. The aircraft seem to be landing more on the North runway with only a few smaller planes landing on this one. There were a couple big birds taking off from this end though. So that was pretty fun to watch.
I believe there is a spot on the north runway that is also good. Not as nicely manicured though.
