I was extremely nervous getting this procedure done, but the staff and Dr. Bodreau made it as easy as possible. All the information about aftercare and what to expect were outlined on the brochures and paperwork I received. I highly recommend

Do not trust these guys or believe what they tell you, I had surgery scheduled for both eyes but cancelled because they wouldn't provide sedation before the surgery even though I made it clear twice while setting up the surgery there was no way I woild be able to keep my head still while they cut open both my eyeballs to replace the lenses, twice the employees told me I could get sedation as long as I signed a waiver to get a cab ride home because I have no one to come and pick me up. I know you can do this because I did it to get a colonscopy 6 months ago but when the person phoned me to tell me the prescription eye drops I needed to get were ready to pick up she wad very rude and condescending on insisting I wouldn't be able to get sedation. So I was lied to twice and they wasted about 3 hours of my time in 2 appointments, you would think when charging $9,000 to do eye surgery they would provide a 5 minute ride to get a customer home and after they lied about the sedation I don't even trust what they said I needed to get done and am getting another opinion. Very dissatisfied with these people.

My experience with Lasik MD is globally very satisfying! Their good points are:
- very professional, I had several consultations before the surgery to make sure my eyes were okay and after to make sure the inflammation was gone at no extra charges. The first doctor I saw was very honest about my eyes condition and the procedure. He cared and helped me prepare for the surgery.
- clinic is downtown very clean very accessible. Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly as well as the surgeon and assistant during surgery.
I removed one star for two reasons
- the price which is way up the standard price advertised and which is not really explained to you as well as a miscommunication about a $400 back from Bluecross which I thought I will get but which is not combinable with their plan to pay monthly with affirm. I learned about it only after have done the payment through affirm.
- Their minimization of the pain you will feel during and after the procedure. I didn’t take a relaxant but I should have for the procedure itself. And after the freezing effect used on your eyes for the surgery is gone, you will have a painful burning sensation even worst when you put the necessary eye drop every hours. It lasted 4h for me then it was better. But it is not a 100% painless procedure!

I recovered in a day and I could see very clearly the day after so it was beyond everything a success! Many thanks to Lasik MD team!

I got my PRK done here on the first week of September and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. All of my worries were taken care of by the team. They provided an accessible online consultation at the start to provide me with all the information, guided me through financing and provided me with all the information to make recovery as comfortable as possible. My procedure itself only took <5 mins and I now have 20/15 vision within the first month. One of my biggest wins is being able to enjoy a midday nap and not need to remember to take my contacts out.

The staff at Lasix MD Vancouver is beyond exceptional. Their commitment to not only providing the best surgical experience itself, but the comfort and caring they provide to you as an individual by the entire staff from reception, to technicians to surgeons is above and beyond. I have been coming to them for close to 15 years now and cannot commend them all enough.

Everyone is professional and friendly, I had a good experience, surgery took less than 10 min total. I highly recommended.

My only regret is not coming here sooner. The staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They answered every question I had and made sure I was as relaxed as I could be in the OR. The surgery itself took about 15 minutes, and I noticed a difference as soon as I got off the table. It’s been about 2 weeks since then, and my vision’s gone from 20/400 to 20/15. I haven’t seen this well since I was a little kid. If you’re thinking about getting LASIK, do it, and do it here.

What a life changing procedure! This clinic is extremely professional. Do expect to be here for at least 5hours if you’ve done the online consultation. Some surgeons may have you stay for an additional hour after lasik to ensure everything is going well with healing. The staff are very friendly and manage the flow of patients well. After my procedure I just took naps between drops and then slept the night by the following morning my eyes were on point!

Just the awesomest experience. Very organized and timely service. Very clean and nice environment. Everyone are very professional and kind, from the very first staff you meet to the last person you will see. I would 100% recommend. Don't think twice for getting your eye checked and book now!

It is truly a life changing experience! My experience with Lasik MD is better than I could have foreseen. I had a very high prescription (-7) yesterday and today I have better than 20/20! And worth every $$$. You almost forget about the money spent because of how immediate the results are (speaking to Advance Lasik- I did not have PRK).

At first, I was not that familiar with laser eye surgery and I didn't know what to pay attention to. Thanks to the people at the LASIK MD Vancouver clinic, however, any uncertainty I had was eased. In every part of the clinical process, the staff made sure that I was comfortable and aware about what to expect. For example, I knew exactly what the in-clinic tests were for and what to do for each test. In addition, if I had any questions, the staff answered them with great professionalism. There were no surprises and I felt fully supported by the clinic team - and for that, I am grateful for the work of the staff. As a clinic team member, I am glad about the high standards that the clinic holds itself to and I also enjoyed seeing what the flow is like for myself.

I had a great experience with them, everything went smooth, their staff were very nice and were always taking the extra step to make sure everything was fine. The technicians also explained everything to me in detail. I had the LASIK with keratome, the guy at the prep-surgery was very fun to chat with and helping me to relax.

I had LASIK surgery and it changed my life. At first, I had a very scary image of eye surgery. However, I was convinced that the doctor who performed LASIK surgery was a very trustworthy person, so I challenged LASIK surgery. The LASIK surgery was surprisingly quick and completed in a very short time. Since then my life has been very happy. I am so glad I had LASIK surgery.

Can’t recommend the staff at Lasik MD enough! From the consult to the surgery. Dr. Boudreault was fantastic as were all the staff. I felt comfortable and informed the entire time. Went in for my checkup today as all was looking great! The only thing I think they should do differently, and perhaps they aren’t able too, is to give you the perception for the eye drops you’ll need to pick up before your surgery and not after, as going to the pharmacy after was a little difficult as my eyes were beginning to hurt. But again, they may not be able to do that I’m not sure. Id highly recommend this clinic and all the staff there. My vision is feeling 20/20 already on day 2!

The staff were all friendly and professional. They had lots of informational materials available and I was given many opportunities to ask questions. Personally, I found the procedure itself to be quite scary and uncomfortable, but I also felt confident that their team was capable and that it would turn out fine. The results have been impressive so far. I can definitely recommend Lasik, but make sure you accept the mild sedative they offer you before the procedure.

I had a great experience with LASIK eye surgery. They have a great process including several consultations where all my questions were answered and we chose the right procedure for me. They were very organized and whoever I talked to was able to quickly reference my file and get the information I needed. The surgery itself went quick and fairly smooth, and I recovered within a day. They did pivot procedures during the operation due to a small complication, but it worked out fine and they refunded me the price difference because the procedure we ended up with has a lower price. In the end, I'm delighted to be able to see even better than I did with glasses (better than 20/20). So glad I did it!

The process is straightforward, get a consultation, discuss options, come back for a pre-op exam, do the surgery, post-op exam the next day.

The movie Final Destination traumatized me as a teenager but Lasik MD cured me as an adult. I had a great experience each step of the process and now I'm able to read shampoo bottles in the shower while sitting on the toilet! Imagine all the things I've been missing.

When people say Lasik is life-changing, it truly is. I'm writing this review a day after my surgery and already what a difference it makes. Dr. Nagy performed my all laser Lasik procedure and was so helpful with all of my questions, explaining the procedure, and putting me at ease. My vision is now better than 20/20. I also wanted to mention that the staff is incredibly attentive, super friendly, and knowledgeable. If you're unsure about getting Lasik, go for it. It's going to be one of the best decisions and investments you'll make for your life.

This is the best place, personnel and location I could’ve wished for. That really added up to being the best experience in getting eye surgery. Near the end after all my consultations and surgery they definitely had it made it feel like home. I think I’ll easily be reminded by that Lasik clinic when I’ll be around hanging out in downtown. Had my LASIK surgery last week, and I can’t say enough about how amazing it is. The surgery was quick and painless, and since I had the all laser surgery, I was pretty much back to 100% 24 hours later. Everyone in the downtown Vancouver office was friendly, helpful, thorough, and made sure I knew what was going on at all times. Would definitely encourage anyone who’s on the fence about going through with the surgery, to go for it.

I did PRK laser surgery and had a fantastic experience with Lasik MD. Staff members are very respectful and friendly. They truly made me feel comfortable specially Anca and Shane. Anca was the reason I didn't take any relaxing medication before my surgery. She is a very calming and positive lady. Overall everyone was caring and lovely. I was extremely anxious before the surgery but Dr. Boudreault and his staff were absolutely amazing! They gave me so many pep talks, reminded me to breathe, held my hand during the surgery, and were overall just so patient and calm with me throughout the entire process. The recovery was easy and now I have better than 20/20 vision. What an excellent experience! Highly recommend!

Was led on with pricing throughout the process. It wasn’t until the day of the surgery after beginning the process for three hours that I was informed the actual price would be 2.5x what was discussed previously. Felt like dealing with a salesman looking out for their commission compared to someone who was was actually concerned with your best interests. Disappointing and in the end a waste of my time.

I finally got laser eye surgery this past Friday which was a long time coming (avoided as I was nervous of the surgery, process, etc)! I went back and forth on what place to get the surgery done and after reading many reviews & talking to people I know, landed on Lasik MD.

I only have great things to say about the entire process from consultation through to surgery and then post op! I wish I could remember all of the names of the people who supported throughout the journey but there were too many incredible people involved in my experience. Special shout-out to Shane for a great consult and Dr. Ghislain Boudreault (+ his surgery partner who was in the room during my procedure), Ben & Nitesh for a SUPER comfortable/painless surgery! Everyone made sure I was comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. Nitesh held my hand and the doctor comforted me throughout which got me through the whole procedure with zero stress or discomfort.

Recovery was also super smooth. Only slight discomfort the first couple hours post surgery but I’ve had worse pain from paper-cuts before haha. 20/15 vision after 24 hours and it keeps getting better (I’m about 3 days post surgery now).

If you’re considering laser eye surgery - do yourself a favour and get it now (if you can)!

I had prk in 2017, my vision is perfect now (their words) except, they did not fix the astigmatism perfectly in my left eye, it's a little blurry looking through my left eye slightly, but not noticeable with both eyes. My vision is 20/20 or better now (with both eyes), except the left eye is not as strong as the right eye (left eye is less than 20/20). When I asked why they said it was the best they could do and I have to get contacts or glasses for night time use. Prk was painful and the medication was intense, I just took the meds and slept for a month. The reason why I did not put 4 stars was because they did not offer to compensate me for the failed full completion of the astigmatism treatment, they did not offer to cover the cost of some glasses and contacts at least 1 pair, they just said you can get glasses or contacts at the optometrist but they didnt offer to cover it after an expensive treatment you'd think they might.

All the staff I dealt with throughout the process were friendly and professional. My questions were answered and I felt confident I was in good hands every step of the way. 1 day after surgery, my vision is already better than it was with glasses.

I’ve been thinking of doing laser eye surgery for over 11 years. I finally decided to just do it. Honestly the greatest experience of my life. Every single worker at this location made the experience absolutely incredible. They were all so comforting and answered all my questions and gave me every possible information I could ever need in order to be beyond comfortable. Going to the consult is very longgggggggg. It's part informational and part sales pitch so beware, they try and sell you on services that are not explained well. For example near and far sighted vison correction. I asked about side effects, was told none (beyond Dry eye), I then said what about for ppl that may have motion sickness, the person was unsure, this doesn't give a person a ton of confidence. Its impossible to book here or ever get a human to take your call, if this is what booking is like I can only imagine the procedure care and after care. Go to Pacific Eye Centre, you get treated like a person vs cattle to slaughter.

Life changing experience. Quick procedure and extremely fast recovery time, highly recommend to all who find glasses to be a burden. No more fogged up lenses, scanning around in the morning looking for glasses, and overall just better quality of life.

What a terrivle experience with the service e provided by Lasik MD staff. My wife for her 3 appointment after her PRK and the specialist said that her sight wouldn't getter any better.

Wow, after paying for it and they ensuring us that her sight would get perfect they vome and say that her sight is not getting better.

That's unacceptable and very frustaring.
I would not recommend anyone to do their eye surgery through LASIK MD.

It's just not worthy. You'll pay 4k for something that's not going to improve your vision.

I was originally with Coal Harbour which shared an office with Lasik MD. Dr. Kirzner (coal harbour) later merged with Lasik at one point so I was under the care of both staff.

I was honestly skeptical with having Lasik MD staff initially look after my checkups as they were known to be "sales oriented. " I did not "choose" to become a Lasik patient but I have to admit their team impressed me. The staff were extremely patient, empathetic, and kind. I was overly anxious about my results post surgery but I received lots of reassurance.

My situation wasnt ideal as after the first surgery, I was seeing a few lines below 20/20 and I was told that I may need an enhancement. I was very worried but they were able to get back to me in a timely manner, communicate with the doctor, and schedule me for another surgery in a timely manner. During surgery, staff were very understanding and patient. When I had some difficulty with the healing process, Shane was able to consult with me over the phone.

Both Shane and Moira (technicians) who did my checkups were amazing and always made me feel comfortable. They were also very pleasant, personable and friendly while taking their time to address my concerns. My enhancement came at no additional charge other than the prescription eye drops. I went for a checkup a few months ago and yielded excellent results. I am so glad I went forward with the enhancement. This clinic is extremely supportive of their patients and you will definitely be in good hands. I cannot comment on their doctors as my surgery was with Dr. Kirzner but the support staff went above and beyond.

Life changing! It’s one of those things where you say why did I wait so long!? Staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and really helps put you at ease. I am recommending 1000% LASIK MD.
