Lefty's Fresh Food

Unfortunately our server Jill was having a bad day. Unfriendly, not very helpful, rude. Manager on duty was even worse! We did get a chance to meet Cliff momentarily table side! Clifff was very helpful and polite! It is very unfortunate that we experienced a less than one star service from Jill, leaving us with no desire to return to this establishment. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either.

August 10,2023. I’ve been here a number of times, but today I ordered the “mile high club house” it was so delicious. Clubhouse sandwiches are one of my favorite things to order, but I often don’t like the extra slice of bread in the middle, but because of the large amount of meat, bacon, lettuce, and delicious sauce on the sandwich you hardly noticed the extra bread. I could only eat half of the sandwich and part of my fries, so I brought it home. The middle piece of bread was easy to remove for my leftovers. Thick slices of meat, hasty sauce, fresh, soft bread. Definitely will be ordering this again. We had a wonderful friendly service. When we first arrived, we were told that there might be a delay in getting him food, I’m going to guess because of the current shortage of staff, that many places are having troubles with. We hardly even noticed any extra time, and the delicious food that we received was more than worth the wait. Next time, I’m trying the pizza!

This was a beautiful restaurant with great service. It was a very family friendly experience. Our server was very patient and very prompt in meet There were fun colouring pages and great kids menu selection. The grown up food was good too. I was very satisfied with my Benny.

Everything in the restaurant and washroom was as clean.

Very nice service and the food was great. My husband had the salmon tacos and I enjoyed the falafel bowl. I can definitely recommend these and also noticed other patron's played which looked excellent.

We had a great dinner there, even with some delays from the kitchen. The labour shortage is widespread on the island so Lefty's can't be blamed for that. Micheala gave excellent friendly service and was on top of everything. She let us know about the delays, which was no trouble. My girls loved their kids' meals and my crispy chicken burger was excellent. The patio was a pleasant place to eat on a nice summer evening. We live in Parksville, and have been here many times. It's a great place to go with a family and it's owned and operated by a local family. I'd really recommend this place for families over here visiting our little paradise. Just be patient and relaxed with any possible delays and you'll have a good experience.

One star, no more. Service was terrible, waitress was so unfriendly. 3pm, slow time in the restaurant. I have eaten here many times and had good service amd food. This time was a fail. The gluten free was the worst meal I have ever been served in a restaurant. Over cooked, flavorless chicken brest on stale, not toasted gluten free bread, this was supposed to be a clubhouse sandwich. Inedible, best part was the lame side salad. Hopefully this was just on off day, but I'm not sure we will risk it again.

Our server was great! However, my husband got the Thai bowl and there was rice, rice noodles, some cabbage and shredded carrots with a bit of sauce - why no tofu or nuts or something? It was expensive for the quality his dish. My daughter got a pizza, which she didn't eat and she likes EVERYTHING - I've never seen her not like a pizza - my husband tasted and said it was awful - I didn't bother.

That being said. My sandwich with artichokes was pretty dang tasty and the tomato soup was decent.

All said and done, it was just expensive for the quality of food. Glad we had the server we did though as she was quite nice and efficient.

Great fresh food, hit the spot. I've been here twice now, and the food has been consistently good!

The food here is always 100% on point. The rocket fries are so dang good we good an appetizer big plate of them AND upgrade our sides! Hipster is fantastic, Chicken panko burger is unreal. Everything is fresh and seems to be made there. The service is always excellent too!

While the food at Lefty's is good, the service during the weekly Happy Hour service left something to be desired. Our server spent most of their time chatting behind the bar and it took quite a long time to get our bill. As well, we were disappointed to find out that only half of their menu of appys were available during the Happy Hour for the advertised 1/2 price. I wouldn't go back for the Happy Hour, though we still do like their food.

Came for dessert. Got the brownie bomb and was very pleasantly surprised. Got the iced tea and it was amazing as well. Highly recommend the desserts!

Best service I've had in last 10 years of going to restaurants. Atmosphere is electrifying and the food was like no other. I still have that taste in my mouth that quenches my thirst.

After the saucy reply to my last 5 star review while travelling down island to Parksville for the Sandcastles we had to return for another review.
Back to Lefty's for Sunday brunch and I ordered the classic Cesar and my usual 1/2 Benny. The Benny was good and soft, how I like it. The crispy tater tots were unexpected and greasy, so I would not order those again. The deep fried pickles and salad were more satisfying than the brunch. Cesar's are on the spicy side. So sorry, I have to drop to four stars, however, your servers are very good.

Very nice patio at this casual restaurant. We just went for a light dinner. The service was excellent.
