Do not take the nail tech program here. Wasted time and money! You would get more direction and help from a YouTube video then you would taking this course at the Abbotsford location.

I found Legends Academy online and appreciate the reviews. I took a last minute chance and they fit me in the day of my call. My brows look amazing and I was impressed by the student services. So much so that I came back the next day for roots colour and a trim.
I’ll be back in a few weeks for more

Worst experience, un organized staff, booked me in for a two hour time slot on a weekday just to tell me I am only getting a test patch. Then when I said I needed the service as I was leaving town she continued to tell me that I need to rebook. Waste of my time and rearranged my schedule. Not good customer service considering they are teaching others as well. Would not recommend and feel sorry for the student getting trained out of that academy not qualified what’s so ever.

Could not have a useable time period. They would not accommodate past 1pm on a Friday. No wkd or evening time s available. That was not mentioned in the group on. Bad I all stole money for. Service that wasn’t Provided.
Use another salon

When my sister and I walked in, we were welcomed warmly. The staff was lovely and very understanding. They attentively listened to our requests and fulfilled them to the best of their abilities. Also, my sister and I were seated immediately next to one another which was very thoughtful of them.

Amazing service! I always go to Legends to get my hair done and am always greeted very kindly. I have had services completed by the students and instructors and they have always done a great job! The instructors support there students really well and answer all questions appropriately to provide there clients with the best service! I have recently started getting laser hair removal done at Legends and have noticed a huge difference after only 2 treatments! Would highly recommend Legends for everyone!

Incredible service. We had a little hiccup with booking (showed up for my app and they were closed). Well they more than made up for it! Hair removal was quick and a VERY good promotion for full body. My technician was incredible, knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. She was def one of the anchors (and probably trainers) here! Then lovely Tori did my hair style for me that day which was relaxing and beautiful. She was also super relatable and great to talk to. Kudos all around, great vibe and awesome team work amongst them! …. Sometimes salons can feel a bit …let’s say ‘ mmeeeeooowwwyy’ lol. Not here. All seemed to be lifting each other up!

I used to be such a fan, have been here several times.won’t be going back.
They’re basically a teaching salon, so prices are way more reasonable. I like to support independent business, so drive an hour one way to be here. The two managers are usually always there and hands-on to oversee procedures.
However perhaps with covid etc affecting them, seems they’re trying to fit in more appointments without taking same care with customers (?)
They also messed up my appointment, running out of product half way through my appt which made it go so late I missed my dinner completely— then promised me a discount because of this but then charged me the original quoted amount (? !? Whatttt? !)
Instead of just giving me an appt on another day when they could have had more time, they put me in later in the day then ran out of time, so managers left me alone with a student stylist who did not even understand basic English enough to comprehend what I said to her—kept having to phone her manager who had promised she would be there but had other (personal) commitments.
Also I did NOT feel that they are keeping good health measures at all with covid— despite asking about this before I booked my appointment, they’re not taking it seriously at all.
Many of the staff and other patrons did not have masks on, and the person working on me had a loose mask under her nose which she kept taking on & off. May as well not be wearing one. People are nervous enough coming back to salons for personal services, you need to do better for your own sake for continued business! And so your clients don’t feel unsafe the entire time they’re sitting there (for hours).
I was very specific when booking that I needed a specific colour, it was actually a repeat service of exactly what they did last time—so no surprises. However, half way through the procedure when my hair has already been bleached, they suddenly realize they’re out of the colour I asked for. So then the manager tried to convince me to use a different colour by saying it was almost the same (NOT). LoL!
Finally they found the darkest version of said colour, then added something to make it lighter. So I thought it would be ok, the end result was close to the correct colour. However later on when the colour was gone in only 3 or 4 washes, I realized when talking to another stylist, they added something to the darker colour to try to get the colour I wanted, but this also made the colour not last at all. So it was a temporary solution to complete my appointment, they knew it wouldn’t last!
The kicker is after botching my appt, not even checking to see if they had the colour I requested before starting my procedure, causing me so much delay I completely missed my evening plans, leaving me alone with a student who didn’t understand me (so she wouldn’t miss her evening plans! LoL) — after all this, the manager had promised me a discount for all this trouble—
she came back and charged me the same amount she originally quoted. I was so done with the whole experience I just paid and left.
It’s sad to see how their service has gone down since I first started coming. I hope these comments will cause improvement. And as far as the language issue— I am an ESL tutor, I speak 5 languages, this is not a case of a client being “too white” to understand accents ;)
They routinely speak languages other than English so much there, that they do not properly monitor the students’ English-speaking levels. You cannot leave students alone with clients doing complex processes especially dying hair (which can’t be fixed easily!) when they cannot understand basic answers due to language issues. ESL should be an integral part of your teaching program. As should covid safety measures. Oh and not promising one price and then charging more. Cheers.

Super friendly staff. I’d come back just to have my hair washed because the head massage was amazing. Cut was checked over a number of times by the instructor so I had confidence it would be done well.

I find it rather interesting that my negative review as well as one from another customer seem to have been removed from here. Not sure how that happened. No problem. I will submit another one and will keep an eye on it.
I went for the first time for a cut. Had a picture of what I wanted. Told them when I called in that I needed someone good at layering. Wanted a short cut with a tapered/layered back. Walked out with not a single layer, an uneven, blunt shoulder length cut with wispy pieces that were missed in the cut. It was as far away from what I asked for as it could be. And this was done by am employee. She had been trained there though. The supervisor behaved like I wasn't even their even though there was only the three of us in the shop. Worse haircut and salon experience I have ever had. I actually cried. And i dont cry easily. I would not ever go back even if they offered it for free. Run away people. Runaway.

Loved the experience Yesterday and got wanted results in first sitting. Meenu did a great job. Very nice and friendly. I love my Hair️

The academy is modern and very clean. The instructors are also helpful in making decisions as to what you want. I like coming here for my services

I've been here many times, its amazing when there's a certain instructor in. But I have by far had the worst experience after a year and a half of going here for my hair cuts. She ignored me immediately as I walked in, she was talking with a costumer who had already paid and said goodbye but continued to talk for 5 mins. Then when explaining what wanting done to my hair, she got extremely rude and was unable to understand a single piece of what my mom or I was trying to explain. She treated the Punjabi customer before me much MUCH kinder than she treated me, giving me immediate attitude and not wanting to listen to what we were there for, I'm a native woman myself. I walked out for the first time ever when I've had absolutely AMAZING experiences there. 100 thumbs down to the Punjab instructor today. Shame on you for how you made me felt immediately walking through those doors. Ignored and she talked to me like I was stupid and was able to spike my anxiety immediately.

I've been to Legends a few times to have my hair colored. Sydney has done a fantastic job each time! She has taken her time to get it right, gotten faster each time and I have seen her confidence build. It has been a pleasure:)

I've been here twice now and it's been a great experience each time. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and take their time to provide advice. I've had my hair cut and coloured here and have been very satisfied with the results and the price! Will definitely be back!

The first time i came to Legends i had a groupon. I didn't know what to expect, However, at the end of my appointment, I was impressed! Meenu is a passionate hair stylist. It's always been a great experience here at legends. The owner does a wonderful job in raining & developing talent. Highly recommended to everyone

The staff were incredibly nice. I found the staff to be friendly, warm and inviting. That being said we knew this was a place of students and therefore our Mani/pedi may have flaws; however, within 4 hours all my fingernails had fallen off. I checked my toes and they too were lifting. They are now completely all gone. My mother had the same issues with her feet.

Not worth the money as it didn't even last half a day. We were driving and not doing anything that would cause this to happen. It's a shame as the staff were very nice, but our nails sadly were not.

I have been going to Legends for a number of years for my hair. Today I called to make an appointment for next Saturday and the person on the phone did not understand what I wanted. She made me wait on the phone while she was talking to someone in another language. I have never been treated that poorly before. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on!

I love going to a school for cosmetic appts not only for the good price but to help students get some experience. Unfortunately Legends didn't even meet my expectations. I went to Legends for their Mani Pedi deal and had set aside approximately 2 hours for the appt. I had my pedicure first and it was really great, the girl doing my nails definitely took her time but I was happy she cared so much about her work. When it came to my gel manicure I only had about half an hour left and was tight for time. I asked that she just do the polish so I could get out on time and another student had to translate for me. Unfortunately she had to rush to even do gel polish and my nails ended up looking awful. It wasn't fully dry and it was quite messy around the edges. Because this is a school I figured someone would be checking in during my time there or would ask how my experience was at the end. No one checked on me and no one wanted to ask for my input. The polish ended up bubbling up and peeling off on two of my nails within two days. Luckily the polish was easy to peel off on my remaining fingers too so I wasn't just missing polish on two nails. If doing the gel polish was not possible within the time I had left, I would've happily accepted regular polish to ensure it would be done well. I was also told by one of the students that I would not have to pay the full price because I didn't get the full manicure, they just did polish. I still ended up paying $45 (amazing deal considering regular salons are $45 just for mani OR pedi, but I was still expecting more even from a school). Would've definitely given 4 stars if I had just had the pedicure.

Meena did a great job bleaching and toning my hair. She was very patient and gentle and really puts in an effort to make sure you get what you want. Will definitely recommend her and her colleagues at Legenda Academy!

I wanted to go light blonde but my hair wouldn't take. The ladies at the salon got me to a dirty blonde that looks amazing! I'll definitely be back to go more blonde in the future! So happy with the service:)

Worst place ever, told me that highlighting my hair would cost $80 but ended up taking $200 from us, we walked out quietly but when we went back to talk about this issue with the owner neetu or whatever her name is, treated us horribly and started putting words into my mouth.honestly worst person/hair dressing place i ever went to, don’t go there they tell you one price and raise up 120 bucks later it’s jot worth it.another thing the owner is probably in her late 20’s early 30’s maybe more cause she cakes her face everyday does not know how to respect people that are younger than her, ima teen and just does not show the respect that needs to be shown, just do not go there to get your hair down or anything else, they do not treat you with respect and they lie to you about the cost and later put words into your mouth it’s not worth it trust me.

They were very friendly! Did an amazing job doing my bleach root touch up. The price can’t be beat and I absolutely love my hair! Thanks!
