15 min of trails the rest of 2 hr ride walking the dike. Guides horse didn t want to go so she had to walk and pull him along. Eventually she got to ride but all we did was walk the dike. Saw 3 herons, that was it for wildlife. $360 for two of us. Would NOTgo again.

What an amazing, breathtaking experience, it was our family’s first time and we loved everything about it. The guides and staff were fantastic, they were kind and knowledgeable made us feel comfortable. The trail was beautiful and exceptional horses. Highly recommend this if you want to do horseback riding. Will be back soon!

Super fun activity! Amazing well tempered horses… Leghorn Ranch helped make our daughters tenth birthday so memorable, for her and her friends! Every handler was friendly and amazing! Our youngest already has plans to celebrate her tenth birthday doing a trail ride in two years! Thank you for taking such great care of our group! Highly recommend ️️️️️

My girlfriend and I booked a 2 hour trail ride and we had a great time with Janet!:) It was my first time and I found the introductory lesson very helpful. It helped me get rid of my jitters and realize there was no need to be nervous. The emphasis on safety was also highly appreciated. The horses are beautiful, calm and very well trained! I had Mo and my girlfriend had Lucky.:) The scenery was lovely and we even saw 4 bears on our ride! All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it!

Georgeous place with lovely people. The horses are treated very well. You can see lots of wildlife on the rides, especially in the mornings. Anna was a nice and friendly guide. Can defenetely recommend this place!

The only reason it isn’t a five star FOR ME is that I have ridden lots and I miss a little speedier gait. Lol. The ride is beautiful, the guide, Julia, was also very nice. Turned out to be just the two of us on a two hour ride. It was relaxing and the weather cooperated to a “T”. The horses were easy to handle and we even saw 3 bears. It is a good experience for anyone with the love of horses. Might even try their birthday party they advertise! Thank you.

My fiancé and I went on a trail ride with Leghorn Ranch this evening, and we would highly recommend them!

My fiancé has ridden horses her entire life. Me - Not so much. Basically my first time. The team at Leghorn was super patient and ensured we had horses to fit our skillset. I was on J. W.who was excellent, calm, and put my mind at ease.

We were on the hour long ride, which weaved through some farm land and crossed into a creek and into the bushes. It was a nice mix of scenery the entire time.

The staff there are very friendly, knowledgable, and patient. Although I was a bit nervous going on a trail ride for my first time, I quickly felt more confident thanks to the great staff there.

My wife, daughter and I took the 1 hour trail ride. It was a wonderful experience! All the staffs here are friendly and professional. The horses are clean and well trained. We don't have much experience on the horse back, but we could control them easily. The trail is scenic and fun, and safe. We had a lot of fun. One day we would come back to try the 2 hour trail.

We had the most amazing time on this ride! Great guides who were both knowledgeable and personable. Horses seemed happy and healthy! Randy was a real character. Loved him! Highly recommend!

I had the most wonderful time on the 2hr trail ride on the horse Lucky. He was such a nice horse, well behaved and pleasant to ride. All the horses are very well trained which makes for a safe experience for everyone. Our tour guide, Janet, was great. She showed us all how to handle the horses, I have never ridden western style before, so i learned something new.
The trails were nice and you get to see some beautiful scenery. We saw multiple blue herons and we even got to see a black bear with 3 cubs!

Great place to bring your kid for their first experience on a horse. We both enjoyed riding the trail a lot. The guide was very friendly and she was great with my 8 year old daughter.

Stuff are very nice. We came late, and they still give us time getting to know the safety procedures. Trials is really lovely. We get to cross a river. Horses are well trained.

Went horseback riding for the first time for me and my partners’ anniversary and had one of the best experiences!
The horses are not only majestic af but they are very well trained and we felt safe the whole time. There’s a safety ride and lesson prior to starting and it was very thorough and helpful.
The trail ride was really scenic with all the the mountains in the foreground, and the vast blueberry/cranberry fields - would love to go back in October to see the flooded cranberry fields! Our guide Avery made the experience really enjoyable - we got to safely gallop in some parts, trotted through a river and even jumped a log! I might try to audition for Yellowstone now (Jk on the log part, but that woulda been fun). She gave us safety tips and made sure to check on us from time to time, had a good sense of humour and knows lots of cool horse facts! Overall it was a very genuine and authentic experience, we felt safe the whole time and the owner Ms Janet and our guide Avery were super welcoming and friendly from start to end. Highly highly recommend!

Absolutely the best time ever! Muffin is an absolute marvel horse, extremely well behaved and perfect for an intermediate rider. The trainers are friendly and informative and it was worth every penny! Definitely a must try adventure! Two hours is not enough haha. Would also love an intermediate ride option involving more trotting faster pace and grass. Or the option to ride at your own leisure wherever you want within a field would be a cool option too, perhaps something for the owners to consider?

We had a great group trail ride. Mixed terrain kept it interesting, especially crossing the river. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Super fun.

The owner, Hanif is incredibly patient with new riders and gave everyone an opportunity to saddle up with an appropriate horse for each level of rider that was in our group of 6. Then we drove a short distance from the farm to the trail that runs along the Alouette River. The trail was beautiful with sightings of multiple Heron and Eagles in the area and many bear trails, although fortunately we never encountered any bears! The horses were so majestic and kind to us all. My horse was Archie and he was an absolute sweetheart xoxo. Our trail ride was 2 hours long which was perfect. We are looking forward to returning again ASAP because our group agreed to celebrate all our birthdays horseback riding!

We had a one hour ride with Janet and Denise and that was the highlight of this whole summer’s activities. We have our 2 young teens with us and my 11 year old son is not tall, and the owner purposely picked a small horse called Hershey for him. I was very worried due to the lack of experience with horses. My son is generally afraid of all animals except for dogs and cats - but he had a blast. The horses were so extremely calm it was amazing, and it also shows that the owner took care of these animals so they are happy and not grumpy. We also got to see a bear in the wild (not in a cage) up close for the very first time. Janet and Denise were very experienced so they knew how to handle that situation - taught us to make very loud noises and keep talking so that bear wouldn’t come too close. I got to see a blueberry machine in action for the very first time on the horse and learned that the farmers share that expensive quarter million dollar machine. It was quite surprisingly a very educational experience for me. My kids couldn’t stop talking about the ride afterwards. The ranch also has summer camps which we will definitely look into next year. Great business, very friendly staff, and experienced guides I am very glad we picked this ranch for their very first real horse ride. My son can’t stop talking about wanting to go back again next week.

I took my friend as a belated birthday adventure and we had the BEST time today! Our guides were so kind and knowledgeable, the horses were gorgeous and well trained, and the views were phenomenal! Neither of us had ridden a horse in 15 years and it was so easy. Perfect for beginner riders. Can't wait to go back again!

Took my 10 year old god-daughter there for her birthday present for a 2 hour ride and we both had an amazing time. Avery, our guide, was awesome to ride with and very informative. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to either learn or just have a leisure experience, and if you get Avery as a guide, you are set. Excellent experience! Janet and her staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The horses are calm and feel safe and comfortable, but the ride still has a bit of thrill going up and down small hills, over bridges and across a stream. Not too far from Vancouver either. Highly recommended!

I brought my family to Leghorn Ranch while they were visiting from Ontario, hoping to show them the beautiful views while having fun! We ended up having the BEST time on the trail ride! Everyone was extremely friendly at the Ranch and laughed with us the whole ride. Avery especially was such a great energy! Excellent experience if there was more than 5 stars kate and ivory deserve it. Never been on horse ride always feared the worse. But kate and ivory made my experience so easy and safe. Skip was my horse beautiful horse very well behaved i was so amazed.rode through trails crossed rivers amazing horse and horses in our pack. Looking forward. Brought a group of adults out for a birthday and we all had a great time.

We Enjoyed our time at the ranch! We were there for a friends birthday event. We did a quick signin and everyone got to ride and meet their horse for a brief few mins to make sure we all new how to direct the horse as it was a few first time riders in our group of 7. We than got in our cars to follow the truck and trailer 5 mins up the road to the designated riding areas. Their were still bikers and walkers on the trail so we had to be careful to stay to one side in a line. Very Scenic route up and around thru the trails and a bit of water trailing that wasnt to deep. High enough the horse can walk thru.
Would definitely reccomend for those first timers to get to try a horse

Had a great time! We drove in from Van- took us about 45 min. We had a 10 year-old and two 12 year-olds who had never been on horses before. The guides (who were a mother-daughter duo) were so calm and fun, and kept us all at ease. The horses were all sweet and we got to take the horses through a river which the kids loved. Definitely recommend!

Had a super fun experience on our 2 hour ride with our guides Haniff & Janet! The horses Old Man & Skippy were so easy to ride and very well behaved. It was a lot of fun riding through the river! Would highly recommend going if you are new to riding or even wanting to go somewhere a bit closer to the lower mainland. Definitely wanting to come back!

I drive by this ranch 5 days a week on my way to work. I've never seen such bored horses. Fields everywhere but they never turnout their horses? Why? Horses are designed to be moving and grazing all day, this is vitally important to their mental and physical health. Maybe I'm wrong and if I am, I will remove this review but if I'm not, TURNOUT your horses!

Excellent family activity. All of us including our boys age 6 and 10 had a great time. It was very nice trail including going through a stream. Both Hanif and Janet are very personable. We had to postpone our ride due to one of the boys being sick, they accomodated us without any hesitation. Highly recommend them.

What an amazing time! Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed this. We brought three kids with us and they were so well taken care of and safety was first and foremost. I wish there was a 6 star review because Leghorn Ranch deserves, they went above and beyond to make sure my girlfriends surprise horseback ride went amazing. We rode Zack and Jack. All I can say if your new like me ask for Jack! He's so gentle, easy to ride and for someone like me who didn't know what they were doing, the horse took care of me. Another VERY important factor is the animals. You can tell they are very well looked after and taken care of. I would HIGHLY recommend going here and I will be back for another ride.

Our guide was very nice and took good care of us. He explained things fully and made sure we were comfortable riding. Horses were gentle and easy going. The trail was exciting especially the river crossing.

It was a great ride. It was my daughters first time on a horse and she absolutely loved it. She wanted to go again after the ride was over. Cowboy was a very nice guide and also very patient with my mom who was extremely nervous and hadn't been on a horse in 35years due to some bad experiences. Definitely return again maybe next time for a two hr ride. The horses were amazing and so handsome.

Safety and care of the humans and horses are top of mind at Leghorn Ranch. My sister and I were looking for an opportunity to see BC from a different perspective and we found just that! Our trail ride was very relaxing, stunning, and scenic. The horses and staff were more than amazing. We enjoyed a winter wonderland adventure with human Janet, and horses John Wayne, Skip, and Sage! We would return here again in a heartbeat!

Had such a great time. I did riding growing up, so they paired me with a great horse with a little bit of spirit, and for my friends who had only been a few times, they had great horses for their skill level. Really friendly staff and a beautiful trail.

We visited Leghorn Ranch for the first time today for my daughter's birthday party! It is hands down the best birthday experience we have had so far! Such friendly and helpful staff, the kids were so excited to brush/pet and ride the adorable ponies (who were so calm is was unreal). Amazing experience! Huge room and table for the food/cake part as well.

Our 2 hour ride started off with a safety and training lesson. Immediately we noticed the horses are extremely well trained, and intuitive. The trails and scenery was diverse, with plenty of photo opportunities provided. I would definitely recommend Leghorn Ranch!
