Everything’s good especially the antique atmosphere! Yet! Only debit or cash and also washroom is out of order. No idea when it will be fixed.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The cozy ambiance makes it the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy a leisurely chat. There are lots of lovely mugs decorated in the restaurant.

They offer savoury snacks, drinks and desserts. There’s something for everyone. Their tiramisu is my favourite so far. I find myself coming back specifically for this delectable treat. It’s moist and has the right level of sweetness and bitterness. The perfect blend of flavours and textures makes it an irresistible delight. It’s a must try! Their fruit tea and waffles are delightful too! I’d love to try other menu items in the future.

Staff is attentive and nice. Their hospitality adds an extra layer of charm to the place.

Overall, this restaurant has become my go-to spot. Whether it’s the cozy atmosphere, the vareity of snacks and drinks, or the irresistible tiramisu, there’s something special that keeps drawing me back. Highly recommended!

Foods are alright. For those who don’t know and will be visiting here by group, YOU CANNOT SPLIT THE BILL. It’s only a debit / cash only payment.
The tea options are nice but the Siphon coffee is a bit disappointing. It didn’t have a clean finish and tasted over extracted. And yes, like the other reviews, even when you didn’t get a good service, you can’t give just 10% tip They will ask for more

When we were done eating, we already paid.and once we were leaving the waiter stopped us and asked for a tip. It was very unprofessional and a beg lol the desserts were alright.

I really like this exquisite shop. Sandwiches, salted crispy chicken, and fruit tea are a must. It is almost full on weekends and the business is very good.

The drinks, desserts and snacks are all good, and it's also very suitable for chatting and sitting for a while

The cutest little cafe in Richmond. This place reminds me of the stylish and uniquely decorated kissaten you find in Japan. A great place to come for an afternoon snack.

The fried chicken club sandwich was outstanding! The chicken was tender & juicy inside and crispy on the outside; very well balanced.
The Fruity Tea was fresh and had nicely cut fruits pieces inside! They also offer infinite refills (by adding more hot water to the tea) it’s always one of my favorites!

It's -3 outside and they will kick you out unless everyone buys at least one item (where the cheapest thing on the menu costs 7$). Guess I can't split a drink with my friend or just sip some hot water to escape the cold. Heartless. Goes completely against the spirit of a coffeeshop.

Don't come here for slush desserts. They used frozen fruits in the shaved iced and matcha slush was VERY bland. The waitress was polite though so I didn't mind her but when she went to the back and I had to ask someone behind the counter so i can pay.and this lady was grumpy. Sorry for bothering you because your customers want to pay and leave!

I pretty much only order drinks or desserts here, but their snacks look good. The prices here are reasonable when compared to their competition, they open incredibly late, and the store environment is so comfy. Parking here can be a bit of a pain though because they share the parking lot with all the other popular Alexandra Street restaurants like G-men. They also only take cash. But if I have to kill more than 30 minutes around here, I will almost always find myself coming here

2022 update - still good.

I wanted a comfortable place to do some writing and enjoy a pot of tea - I got both here. Service was very good, and very relaxing. The food was a bit pricy, but the sandwich and crepe I ordered was fresh and delicious. Only cash/debit accepted here.

It is basically unchange since I first came here gather with friend. After 25 yrs, everything is the same and food still excellent quality with very comfy environment. Best place for business talk and even dating

Rude staff and overpriced desserts and drinks. One waitress acted condescendingly when I asked a question about their food, and the other tried blaming me for their debit card machine not working after I paid.

8 dollars for this “latte” that looks more like a cappuccino, waited almost 10 mins for this, and it doesn’t taste good at all, sorry guys but I can’t recommend this place

The customer service is always exceptional here. All of the staff are polite and friendly. The food quality hasn’t gone down after the pandemic which is rare to see in Richmond. The chick sandwich is a must as the chicken is juicy and tender and the dish is really filling. The dessert (drink? !) is also good, not so sweet. Will always come back to try more stuff!

This place has nice atmosphere.and his place has fantastic food. But just didn’t like their services.

They don’t accept credit cards and US debit cards. Also, we were not allowed to speak the manager. Very inflexible.

Lovely little shop - love that they keep the old style decor and teacups. Although expensive for tea, coffee and food, the ambiance the worth it. We had wild berry tea and chocolate milkshake. There are so many options on the menu as well. Good variety.

Love this little cafe! So cute, I've walked by it a million times and really wish I'd gone in sooner. They don't offer dairy alternatives, but there are vegan snacks (I had the tofu pudding with pearls) and plenty of drinks.

Came as a group 3. Both my friends ordered something but I didn’t feel like it but was forced to order due to minimum charge per person. I would understand if no one in my group ordered but both my friends ordered…

Amazing bubble tea, tastes very fresh and they use real fruits! Decor is bit outdated but seems like a nice study spot. Wish I was able the try the food but partner wasn’t feeling well so couldn’t dine in.

This place, as mentioned by others, is definitely a hidden gem. We ordered an ice cream waffle and French fries. The waffles were made fresh and consistent. Although French fries are usually quite generic, these ones had a good ratio of crisp and softness. I’m not even kidding. French fries are my go-to snack food and I’ve had stale or super greasy ones in other restaurants but these ones were on point. Their sesame milk tea and blueberry yogurt smoothie is a must try. Overall, the restaurant/cafe had a vintage theme/tea cup collection going on which I adore and I love how fairly low key it looks from the outside.

Let me start out by saying this place has one of the most authentic, unique aethetics ever. I'm a self-proclaimed cafe buff, and I was so enamored with the atmosphere of this place. There's always smooth jazz or relaxing foreign music playing, which gives this place a great vibe. Additionally, I swear I had a religious experience eating their fried chicken waffle, cuz it was the greatest thing I've ever eaten. This place has fantastic food! I'll admit, the big menu is a bit intimidating at first but honestly there's some true treasures here! The coffee, for one is amazing! The deserts are more rich than sweet, but that is definitely because of the style of pastry/baking, not because the deserts are bad. On the contrary, their lack of sweetness actually brings out the deeper flavour in my opinion. The food and drink have never disappointed me, and I doubt it'll disappoint you! I really look forward to coming again!)

Their golong and ginger tea goes great with a tiramisu. Nice and quite vibe with great service.

Love their desserts and teas! Not too sweet as the others. Only downside is that the server only speaks Mandarin.

Top late night place to hang out with friends. The desserts are delicious and pleasing to the eye. The menu is huge. They have a large variety of drinks (especially teas) for you to order. The decor is adorable. I've spent a lot of my time sitting there and looking around. It has a cozy atmosphere as well.

The price is a tad high but the quality is worth it. Their fruit tea comes in a pot with a tea bag and fresh fruits.

The taste of the food is acceptable, but the service is the slowest in the world, it took too long to serve me a crepe, they also required me to tip for a lousy service!

If there's a problem with the toaster. Get a new toaster. Or take toast off the poster menu. Taro was not as meaty as back in the day.

Best place for afternoon tea or hanging out with others.

Not much is shown from the outside, but the interior furnishing is like from a museum and is always clean.

Food/drink pricing is on mid~high end, but as far as I know ingredients are real and aren't chemical syrups (all fruit related product at least I haven't tried everything).

Recommended for people looking for a place to chat with friends for 1~2 hours while having good food and drinks.

Interesting little cafe in the heart of Richmond. Very different style and setup from the mainstream Asian restaurants. The beverages and the dessert item are fantastic. Worth a visit for sure!

We came here for dessert. They were a little short staffed but did their best to provide good service which they did. The shaved ice was good.smaller portions thn other places that have it.but good. Ice cream waffle was good as well. My friend liked the caramel pudding.

Great place for hot desert tofu drink, deep fried mushrooms or the occasional waffle. For a late night cafe they should switch the lighting to 2700k spectrum. It's all been changed to 5000k and it kind of ruins the feeling of all the nice decorations.

Tried the papaya milk with pearls and red bean soup with taro pearls. Both were excellent with the perfect sweetness!

Would recommend going early due to the long wait as it goes into the night, nice decor but can get a bit dark as well. The acoustic of the restaurant makes it very loud but if you can get pass that the food is really good they specialize in Taiwanese treats and food with a few options of western afternoon tea sandwiches and cakes. Assorted selection of floral/ fruit tea as well. Good for casual meet ups

Wow. Let me start off by saying just for the fare, it was teetering around a 4.5 for me. I'd say it could've gone either way but the service was literally just so stellar. We had ordered two tsuabing and some blueberry scones, and while it's hard to mess the former up the scones were moist and so fragrant. The icing on the cake was that as we were having friendly conversation with the wait staff, they just kept bringing us small complimentary things. Freshly cooked taro, freshly baked (like thin crispy black sesame waffle?), etc. I had a great time here because of the people and the desserts were just right on the mark.

College buddy treated my family to this coffee and shaved ice place. Owned and operated by Taiwanese Canadian with authentic and yummy taste. Definitely will go back.
