I cannot say enough great things about this dental office!
The entire team worked together to accomodate my husband for emergency treatment. Dr. Son was absolutely AMAZING and professional. Vicky at front desk is a doll, such a beautiful human!
I definately recommend this Dental office for your dental needs.

My partner and I started going to this dentist in 2016 because we lived right around the corner. At the time we regularly saw Dr Toews. We were happy with the service, even though they were a bit pricey and had a tendency to upsell. A few years ago Dr Toews left and it became a revolving door of dentists who we rarely saw - often we'd be told that the dentist didn't have time for a check-in after the cleaning was done by a hygienist. I never felt like there was any continuity of care, but my teeth were fine so I kept going. However, when it was time to bring my child to the dentist for her first visit, our experience was horrible. The first time, when she was 1, the hygienist just kind of milled around - never asked me about her oral habits or how we brushed, never offered advice. It felt like a waste of time. The second time, the dentist who was working that day (she is not listed on their website so she may have been a fill-in) literally threw down her tools in disgust and stormed out of the room when my 1.5 year old wouldn't open her mouth. It was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had in a medical setting. And, again, there was no attempt to discuss my child's brushing habits or to offer advice to me. It was an absolutely terrible experience and finally gave us the impetus to find a new dentist. I can't recommend Life Dental at all, unless you want to be overcharged for subpar service.

The staff and doctor were polite, knowledgeable and the price was right. They did as asked with no pressure for extra work. Highly recommended.

I was having trouble with pain on one side of my mouth. I received conflicting information from another dentist office. I walked in off the street when I saw the Life Dental sign. Dr. Lee examined me within an hour. Her calm professionalism and expertise allayed my fears and gave me confidence with her diagnosis, for a reasonable cost. (Only knock is that the office doesn't give a senior discount, so Life Dental may be too costly for some pensioners' wallets. Then again, it may be worth it.)

Kind staff and running hepa filters on in all patient rooms. The dentist did a quick, quality job of my cavities and they made me feel comfortable with oral sedation for my extremely sensitive teeth. There has been a great improvement in their service and I'm very grateful we found them. They really set the standard in the lowermainland.

Told me I had more cavities than I actually did. Did my cleaning in two days (which had never happened before at any other dentist office) and charged a lot for both times, taking 90% of my dental insurance away FOR A CLEANING. The dental assistant was so rough on my teeth they hurt for like a week and they felt so rough, it felt so much worse than they were before (again, never had happened before at any other dentist office). And deleted my previous honest review because it made them look bad. Don’t trust the 4.7 rating, they manipulate it a lot!

My first visit to this practice and the hygienist Erica made it pleasant, comfortable and as enjoyable an experience as you could hope for at the dentist! Exam and cleaning were quick and efficient!

Great place to go check and fix your teeth. Highly recommended to see Erica the hygienist and Dr. Lee very knowledgeable and friendly.

I booked for a cleaning, half way through they said they didn't have enough time to finish and that I would have to come back. They charged me the full amount and I had to pay my portion that was almost $100. Then later that week they finished the cleaning and when I went to leave they told me I had to pay again.another $75. They tried to upsell me on everything. Told me I had cavities that needed to be filled and when I went to another place they magically disappeared. And told me I needed a cleaning every 4 months.

This place is a down right scam that thrives on the nearby college students not knowing any better.

The staff at Life Dental always take such amazing and gentle care of me. I really appreciate everyone there.

Once again I was wowed by the professionalism, kindness and very obvious commitment to my care and comfort during my appointment. This team is totally patient focused, they welcome patients with genuine smiles. It was wonderful to see Dr Sahi today, some serious discussion went on about future treatments and all my questions were answered quickly, without pause. I totally trust this office to have all my dental needs handled with empathy and kindness.

In 2017, Life Dental crowned a tooth with a known infection. The put antibiotics on the tooth as they were crowning it. I didn’t think anything about it at the time. However, as time went on I started to experience more and more pain and sensitivity with that tooth. For YEARS, I would see Dr. Sonia Sahi and complain about the pain. Dr. Sonia Sahi totally gaslit me and disregard my complaints. I even got an unrelated referral to a root specialist and asked if they could include the X-rays/files for the tooth that I had pain with and Dr. Sahi said “no- I keep telling her it’s her gums”. So the specialist didn’t look at it.

September 2022, I’m in excruciating pain with that same tooth. On the verge of just wanting the tooth pulled. I see a different doctor who refers me to the SAME specialist right away about the tooth that I’ve been complaining about for YEARS. The specialist said that the tooth is now dead because the infection devoured the whole nerve and is has made it’s way to the gums now. He does an emergency root canal through my crown. January 2023, I’m still in pain and had to go back for surgery to go through my gums to remove the infection from the root of the tooth and my gums.

It cost me thousands of dollars, pain, surgery and dignity to be so gaslit, and disregard by Dr. Sonia Sahi, when I knew there was a problem and asked for a specialist but she used her position of power to guard the resources from me. All the cost, physical and emotional pain, surgery could have been avoided. I will never go back there.

I had my appointment with Dr. Jenny Lee. She is a wonderful dentist, and I had a fantastic experience. She clearly communicates everything step and talks you through what to expect. She performs every action with great precision. Her examination is very thorough. She filled two cavities for me today and she made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend her.

I recently visited the dentist and had an amazing experience! The staff were all super friendly and professional, and made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my visit. The dentist, Dr. Jenny Lee, was thorough and explained everything clearly. She has a great bedside manner and I left feeling confident in the care I received?

I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone in need of dental treatment. The facilities were clean and modern, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

We made the switch to this dentist because we were told that this office is amazing! They did not disappoint! Front desk ladies are happy, welcoming and friendly. Dentist was caring and willing to help with out hesitation. We are now patients and are extremely happy about it.

I am terrified of dentists (not their fault) and this is the only dentist I will willingly go to. They take paint and discomfort seriously and everyone is always helpful and friendly! Highly recommend - it's worth the trek from any part of the lower mainland for superb service.

My wife and I have been married 32 years and we can both honestly say Life Dental hands down is the best dentist we have seen yet and we have seen quite a few dentists during our time. The entire team at LD is awesome. Just a fantastic experience today we had. Thank you again life Dental.:) :)

A disappointment. I had hoped to make this my regular dental practice after having had a good experience with a tooth extraction here. When I later came in for my hygienist appointment, I was told she couldn’t clean my teeth until I got my doctor’s clearance. I was never asked for such clearance at the time of my extraction, so I was mystified about why it would be necessary for a cleaning.

My dental visit was good, did not wait long, staff very professional, compassionate and caring.

I am dedicating this year to rectifying all my dental needs and to improve my oral health. I’ve had a few visits with more to come and everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and gentle. The receptionists are personable and engaging, the hygienists are mindful to ask how I’m doing during process, and seem to all enjoy their chosen careers. Dr. Sahi has been understanding and listens to concerns or trepidations I have had so I’m really glad I chose to start my journey here. I trust them and look forward to the beautiful smile I’ve always wanted and that they can make come true.

Fantastic service by the office assistance, fantastic service from the dental hygienist, but a little bit skeptical of the dentist I saw, though his name slipped through my fingers.

Initially I was skeptical towards the dentist because of some unnecessary (in my opinion) aesthetic recommendations he stressed heavily in the few minutes I spent with him when, after sixteen years without a check up (shame me, I deserve it), I was concerned about my health which wasn't really discussed at all. I was very off-put by that and left feeling very uncomfortable as it's difficult to discern when you're being upsold by professionals and when it's something that seems frivolous that is actually very important.

I ended my previous review stating I'd keep an open mind and update when I returned from my second visit and here we are, with my raising my rating from four stars to five.

He immediately addressed my concern from my past visit and explained his viewpoint which was a miscommunication on my perceived priorities. I believe that how people handle critical feedback says more about them than than perfection and I was a big fan of his candor there. He offered me an out to work with a colleague instead, he asked my thoughts.

Pairing that with the fact my two cavities were filled so quickly, with clear skill, and oddly comfortably - I'm leaving feeling really good. I told him I'm almost glad the first experience ended negatively for me because I think the way he handled it gave me more faith in him than I would have had without it.

As a last highlight note before I settle into just being a long term client instead of thinking about ever reviewing them again, after my visit an office assistant called me to inform me that my insurance coverage is almost used up and that they could discuss which procedures to undergo next within my budget. At this point in my life cost on things like this are not a concern for me but they VERY MUCH HAVE BEEN in the past so I see this as a huge green flag. It's extremely comforting to know I'm going to be a client of a company that cares enough to try to find a way to serve people within their means.

The dental assistant I had today was extra amazing. She offered me stress balls when I said I was anxious and was so kind. And Dr Taves is always the best. Thank you both!

10/10 experience. Jolie was amazing. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 13 years, so to say I was quite apprehensive would definitely be appropriate. But the experience was so good I booked my next appointment before I even left.

Great experience! Prior to my visit, Front Desk/Reception put in real effort to adjust and accommodate my schedule issues. Radhi, my Hygienist, was very professional. She would explain in detail every procedure to be done; suggest ways and means to properly take care and improve my daily dental practices. Checking out, Reception was very efficient working on my requests on paperwork and future appointment. Highly recommended!

Made an appointment online but didn't receive a confirmation. So I called and spoke with reception to make an appointment. Gave my blue cross number and was given a date and time for my consultation. The appointment was made with at least 2 weeks notice. However, on the day of my appointment, I called to verify my appointment, only to be told my appointment doesn't exist. Someone in reception is dropping the ball.hard. It's a shame that an office with such great reviews has let me down before I could even give it a chance.

Don't let the 4.8 star fool you. My girlfriend had a terrible experience for one issue. Had to go in multiple times, the lady who did the frezzeing screwed up twice and tried to double charge us. Unprofessional and amature, will be going elsewhere.

I have been a patient at the 6th St location for several years. The front office service has dropped in the past year. I have had my last 3 appointments re-scheduled with and without notice. After the 3rd time I refuse to go to this location anymore. I will be going to the Carnarvon location now, hopefully their front office is better.

Very irresponsible and unethical. They cancelled my appointment twice in a row one day prior to my scheduled appointment all that happened after I have confirmed the appt and also received reminder text. Initially, I made four appointments in November and early this month. The first two were success, and they told me I need more fillings done so according to their availability I scheduled further appointments in advance. Last week was supposed to be my third visit but I received phone call last minute saying my appointment is cancelled. I asked why and they said, because of ''COVID, " okay, I was kind of lost at this point, do they mean they have exposure or what? I mean yes, it is the pandemic period, we're all scared and I'm sure we're all following safety protocols, it is not convincing enough to say because of covid we have to cancel your appointment unless there were actual risks or what, and if you had concerns why couldn't you inform the patients earlier or don't even schedule at first place. Another note, my last visit was just couple days ago before this cancellation, nothing was mentioned, everything went smoothly. I was so upset, because it's so hard to book appointments anywhere during the year end, if the clinic had informed me earlier, I would've search for another place. Nonetheless, I told the receptionist, I got another appointment next week and she went asking Dr. Toews and said I could keep it but she is not sure lol. Today, same thing goes again.my appointment is tomorrow, they called me and said they have to cancel my appointment because Dr. Toews threw his back, seriously!? How am I going to believe this? Two cancelled appoints in a row one day before my actual appointments, this is ridiculous. In the end they said I can only reschedule in January. I have been in this clinic since last year and been fixed with them. I felt I am being fooled, how am I going to look for another clinic last minute. I do not understand why am I being treated so unfairly, I have done no harm to them, just want to get my teeth fixed. 2020 is so hard, even the dentist.

I was really impressed with the level of coordination and organization overall. Everyone seems to always be on point and my visits were very quick. Dr. Sahi was amazing and a true professional. Everybody had excellent teamwork. I had Root canal done and it was painless and looked amazing. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a dentist.

Best dentist I've ever been to. I'm continually impressed by the quality of care here. Dr Towes does excellent work and makes a point of explaining treatment procedures and options available so you really understand what treatment is necessary and can make informed decisions about your health.

Today, I had my teeth cleaned at Life Dental. It had been 6 months instead of my usual 3, but, it was “no worries” and easily done. I felt they cared and made sure I was safe. There were fewer people, an air purifier, and face shields. I made my next appointment. After all, my dental health is important

Great dentist and staff. I had the best results with my treatment and they are great with kids.

The dentist is exceptional, remarkably good bedside manner, caring and considerate, best dentist I've ever had. That said, I'm considering finding another dentist because the front of House staff here are just plain incompetent. They don't call you back when they say they will, they're so incompetent when it comes to insurance paperwork that you literally have to hound them like you're paying them hourly yourself as the patient, please Dr Toews, talk to your staff, they're ruining your reputation!
