I went out with a couple of friends to celebrate my partners' birthday and we were provided with wonderful service from Mindy.

We shared the tuna tartare, and the red beet salad, along with the chocolate tart, lemon tart, and cream puff and all were fantastic.

Will definitely come back here for a future date night or celebration!

The restaurant has a mix of delicious European and Vietnamese dishes. Pho is very delicious, authentic Vietnamese flavor. Other dishes prepared are also great. The service staff is very enthusiastic and friendly. Setup decor is airy, beautiful, and clean.

We tried the foie gras and pho Bo here. Both are very tasty. Foie gras is creamy and pho bo taste really good. Some comments I would like to improve would be the beef a bit too skinny and dry.the bread of foie gras is a bit too oily and has a sweet flavor. The service was amazing tho!

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had in restaurants in Vancouver.
When me and my friend got there, my friend went to get to a table and to rush to the washroom as well, I was at the car, in front of the place, taking a headache medication.
My friend was told he couldn’t go use the washroom until I was sat at the table…
After it, the menu QR codes lead to the wrong menu and what we ordered was not available.
After navigating in their website to the correct menu, we saw that the prices were awfully expensive as 75 dollars for a steak. I have eaten in better places than this one and payed way less.
We were looking to have just coffee and some patisserie.
We ordered coffee and I asked mine to be made with almond milk, then the waiter said they don’t have ANY non-dairy milk options. Only cow milk….
How come, in 2023, in a city thar is so worried about accommodating people’s intolerances, they don’t have non-dairy milk options.
I changed to a tea and ordered our patisseries. Latter, the same waiter came back and said they only had one unit of what we ordered…
We ordered one anyway and finally the same waiter came back another time and told us that as we had ordered just coffee we had only 20 min to stay at the table…

I’ve never been so disgusted by a customer service in Vancouver as I had been at this place. Had no remorse in giving no tips.

Worst restaurant I ever been in Vancouver!

We visited Linh Cafe twice this month, and we enjoyed every dish. I really wish I can pick a favorite but they were all so good. Will be visiting again soon, highly recommend!

We came here for dinner last Saturday. We didn’t have to wait very long for a table for three. It was lively and the decor was inviting.

I had a bowl of beef pho with an add-on of bone marrow. The broth was rich and tasty and noodles felt freshly made. It was delicious.

We also shared the foil gras parfait. I usually would not have ordered foie gras but our visiting friend picked the dish. It was very silky and it just melts in your mouth. The accompanying soft toasted broche was perfect for innard goodness.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to give my experience more than 3 stars because of the service. While we were seated quickly and our orders were taken promptly, it was an effort to ask for our bills. We made eye contact 4 times with 2 different servers (we were served by more than 1 server). Every time, the server looked away immediately and tended to other neighbouring tables. We had to say “excuse us” to one of them to get their attention to our request.

Service is part of the dining out experience. I hope the restaurant could pay more attention to their services as well as their food particularly when it still operates on the tipping system and the tips are probably shared with kitchen staff whose tips also depends in the services provided by the servers of which the kitchen staff have no control.

Awesome food.not fusion.authentic french.love their pho.although was disappointed with their hot sauce.it used to be hand chopped garlic and chilies in vinegar which was great.now they just blend everything which isn't as great IMO.also make sure to order the red shrimp with extra bread.their garlic butter is heaven

First time eating here and everything was spectacular, service was excellent and there was a variety of delicious food!

Was greeted at the door by the manager Andy and he gave great recommendations for being a first timer

Horrible service. Idk I’ve waited tables before and that’s not how you do it. Our waitress had so much attitude and “forgot” to bring us so many things. She had an attitude since the beginning too. We sat there dry after our appetizers for at least 40 minutes for them to keep saying it’s coming.

I am a regular at this restaurant. But last night’s experience was a huge disappointment. We ordered the truffle risotto, the amount of rice could be called “thin”, literally 1mm layer of rice. And the rice wasn’t cooked at the first time. We had to send it back to the kitchen, My friend ordered steak as medium rare, the steak ended up very well-done! I ordered duck rotisserie, it was also over cooked, the meat was as dry as duck jerky. Now let’s talk about the drink, I had a caesar, it’s so diluted that i felt like I was drinking water with couple of drops of Clamato juice no taste of vodka at all!

The food was very good; the prices reflect the fancy - almost exclusive - atmosphere in the restaurant. All in all an experience to recommend.

The Pho is our must haves and have been ordering that ever since we first went to the original location. The pickled garlic and chili that they serve with it is insanely hot and delicious. The new location is spacious, modern with a great vibe. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The only thing I didn’t think quite fit in was the extremely loud obnoxious music that they played when someone has a birthday and it really doesn’t suit the upscale image they seem to cater to. I honestly would have given Linh Cafe 5 stars however multiple birthdays in one night with the LOUD birthday song on repeat really ruined the experience. I’d suggest changing the music to something more aligned with your branding.

Dined in at numerous vietnamnese restaurants and they are usually pretty dirty, but Linh was extremely clean and spotless with an open-kitchen design where you can tell they hold themselves to a higher standard.

Service was outstanding, not sure about previous experiences or if management has changed but we personally received attentive and quick service.

The food was above expectations, I personally believe the price is pretty fair for elevated french vietnamnese cuisuine and we had Pho, 3 Baguettes, Brioche /w foie gras and escargot. We were extremely full by the end of the dinner and had a bill of $97. Food was delicious and would definitely recommend people to give it a try.

Tall ceiling and beautiful decor. Lots of parking outside the restaurant. Great variety of food. Had the escargot, it was delicious! Friends had the soup. I wish I had ordered the soup as it too was delicious. Staff are extremely friendly.

Best pho in town! If you love pho you gotta try their classic pho with rare beef and bone marrows

I would say, just so so. Not amazing. And considering the price, it should be given 3-star? The duck tastes good but with only a little lean meat. And the pho is too oily and so not my type.

Quality was OK but the experience wasn't superb at all.
1. Waited a long time to get water.
2. Ordered foie gras. It serves with bread and strawberry jam but came with very tiny amount of strawberry jam. I do think that the jam balances the flavor very well and to achieve a better taste, the jam should be provided a bit more. So I asked for more jam and was told that I would be charged for $2.3. The pho was totally medicore. It is northern style pho. The broth is simple to leave space for meat. Unfortunatly, it only has 2 thin slices of beef.

This place was amazing. I loved all of the food here and the decor in the restaurant was really beautiful. I recommend the spring rolls especially, they’re really special and have a lovely salty (and sweet with the sauce) tang to them. Needless to say the pho was perfect, the soup wasn’t too oily or too thick and the beef had an excellent texture.

PHO is special with their signature pickled chilly garlic. Love their Cream puff & Sable Breton too! Only downside is GPS locate the restaurant to be on top of the Granville bridge. But it is not the restaurant's fault.

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, but the bar manager did his best to make the situation right.

There was some confusion with the seating, and our party was placed in a bad location in the corner of the bar. This in itself wasn’t bad.

The wait staff were not helpful and rather terse. We ended up having to bus our own table, and the bar manager had to help us.

All of this was fine as I was coming for the food.

Our party ordered 3 steaks medium rare. Food came out plated really well. However, the steaks were cooked very inconsistently, and the quality of the meat was closer to select or choice.

I usually don’t complain to the staff, but the service and quality of food was really disappointing me.

Bar manager did his best to make things right, so I wanted to highlight his excellent service. He got us replacement dishes that were much better.

Service was good but was not impressed with the food. Mussels were small and were overcooked. Ordered 4 pieces of lamb chop, were served grilled to medium cooked. In my opinion, taste was too ordinary to be priced at $52 a dish. Order a bowl of Pho and 2 non-alcoholic drinks. The total bill came to approx. $160 (tips included).

Rarely comment or care to make negative reviews but our experience here on Canada day was just horrendous. Made a reso for dinner and the restaurant is 40% occupied at best. We ordered NY steak frites and asked for medium rare. Food comes quickly and the center cut of the strip is brown. We ask the server if we may have the steak cook to MR and when he returns from the kitchen he tells us “that the chef says this is MR and if we don’t like this, we should order something else”. Incredible response. I’ve seen multiple photos within these reviews showing the same dish and the beef being cooked properly. Yet, we were just asked to order something else. A different floor staff comes and asks us what the issue may be and he adds that they have state of the art technology ovens that times the beef to the proper temperature…. Extremely disappointed with this experience and will just take my business to Autostrada down the street moving forward.

The two of us came here for dinner and ordered a few items to share.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was airy, clean and welcoming. The food was very flavorful and tasty. Our favorites were the foie gras with house made brioche bread, and the Hanoi Breakfast. The brioche bread was very crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. The Hanoi noodles were also very flavorful and authentic.

Overall we enjoyed our experience very much.

Server automatically included 18% gratuity to my bill for party of 7 but did not inform me so I paid tip twice. When I asked they tried to refund but instead charged me tip for the 3rd time without me knowing. I only realized when checking Visa next day. Beware.

Awesome hot chocolate and the cassoulet rocked.

-update. Had the pleasure of visiting at their new location. Glad to report it's still as awesome as always if not even better. Can't wait to go back again.

I used to love Linh cafe in kits but this place wasn’t it. I could see the same staff but not the same vibe.

We got seated right away. The place was not very busy at the time but we waited for awhile to get water and give our orders. The place was not busy. I kept looking at the staff and no one really came to take our orders. They were moving very slowly putting away things and reorganize spoons/forks/receipts.

Luckily by the time we order the food came right away. My husband said the taste was not as good as before. I agree it tasted watered down from the original version. But it still was one of the better pho bo in Vancouver.

I didn’t make this 2 stars because of the slowness. I am okay with waiting for my food. However, I’ve eaten at the kits location many times and never got a stomache as bad as I ate here. I know it was this because it’s the only thing I ate all day. My husband also felt achy after eating.

We’re very disappointed because now we can’t come back nor take our friends and family with us. I’ve heard that the owner has changed so I wonder if they have cut corners to afford the high rent in downtown.

The interior is no doubt very fancy and swanky. But I do genuinely miss the homey feel the kits location had. It was a hidden gem. I introduced Linh to many friends and was proud I knew the best pho bo in the area. I can’t confidently say so anymore.

Excellent new location, very modern interior. The food is as excellent as the original location in Kits. The staff are amazing as well.

Excellent service and food. Interior is beautiful and menu has many options. A bit pricy but you definitely get your money’s worth!

Very very poor Sunday night.
2 of us were greeted and sat promptly.
The place was not busy.
Water was thrown down and after that, much like the couple with water beside us who happen to be sitting there before we even arrived, we were ignored. Ignored for the next 15-20 minutes.where we watched other people get seated after us, and asked for their order!
Where we watched people that were eating their meal get checked on and offered other services.
Where we watched the chef repeatedly and angrily hammer the bell on the pass becuase the food wasnt moving.
We wanted a coffee and a piece of chocolate cake, but after witnessing what was going on and estimating how long it would actually take to get it.we walked out and went to the lovely little pancake crepe place under granville bridge. The couple beside us were anxious at this stage too and were looking around bored trying to get someone's attention.

Food was fine, nice ambience but the service was not great. The restaurant was not busy and our waiter was wandering around while we were waiting for our bill. He never came to ask us anything after we ordered. Bizarre because everyone else seemed to get many visits.

Dinner with my family of 9, first time in Vancouver House location. High ceiling with simple and urban decor. Staffs are pleasant and helpful. Menu includes variety of choice of seafood, meat and even pho. My favorite is the roast beet salad and garlic red Argentina prawns, it's sauce is good for bread. This place is family friendly and love birds!

2021-11-14 Sunday around 11: 30am. We ordered
1) a cocktail (I forgot the name)
2) an iced coffee
3) two pho
4) chicken liver
We used to visit Linh Cafe at 4th Ave. But this new location (right under Granville Bridge) is a way better. Delicious food as usual. You have to try the chicken liver because it tastes soooooooooooo good! And you can have as much bread as you like (the server told me that). The service at this location is also much better. If I can, I will give 6-star instead of 5. Strongly recommend!

Had the beef rice and esgarcot.

I must say for 29 dollars, the rice plate was ridiculously similar to any plate out there for half the price elsewhere. A bit more garlic, but 29 dollars for rice and beef… hmm.

Esgarcot was good. Very flavorful. Service was great.

Overall, I think the price is uplifted for the simple fact it is a fusion. It was unimpressive and mediocre for the price range.

Oh dearies.not the best dining experience I've had for sure. I had such high hopes and expectations as I've heard nothing but rave reviews about this place. Granted that was before they opened this location in yaletown so perhaps the reviews stand true for the west 4th location before they closed it. The atmosphere and menu is expensive and considering a bowl of pho is $20-$30, I do expect this place to be fine dining but there is much to be improved before they could get to that point. We had multiple different servers and there was no communication between them when it came to the timing of our food coming out. We ordered two appetizers and 2 entrees. We received one appie, one entree, one appie, one entree - in that order - literally minutes from each other. My boyfriend got pretty upset by the 3rd dish and complained that our food was going to get cold at this rate. Honestly this is the first time I've ever complained about service being TOO efficient. I can understand where he's coming from. Our meal wasn't cheap, it was $140, but we felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the servers were attentive for the most part, but it would have been nice to receive our entrees after our appetizers were done. They did graciously accept our feedback and hopefully it gets back to management. Unfortunately this did put a black cloud over our 6 month anniversary dinner and I did not get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Moving on to taste, we ordered the beef tar tar, deep fried frog legs, beef short rib, and duck confit. I'll be completely honest, I was quite disappointed about the taste more than the food coming out too quickly. The beef tar tar tastes like a raw big Mac, the frog legs taste like the famous Phnom Penh chicken wings, the beef short rib was kind of dry despite being drenched in sauce (not to mention the portion ridiculously small) and the duck confit was good, but not spectacular. In conclusion, their reputation exceeds them and I hope they can redeem themselves in my book (or in this case, reviews) in the future. I would also like to apologize to the one waiter my boyfriend gave attitude to. He reacted on his emotions and I assure you I have told him off for making people who have no control over the situation feel bad and he has agreed he could have handled the situation better. He's just really passionate about his food and that's why he was so upset about what happened lol.

Good food, good decor, bad service. The service is almost non-existent. No one ever tried to refill the water. I waved 5 times to get my order taken and another 3-4 times to get my boll. The waitresses were just busy on their own stuff
Pho + bone marrow is worth trying!

Linh cafe is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. My boyfriend and I had Pho and Burger and they were amazing. Pho soup is cooked from the fresh broth beef which was impressed me a lot. Their bakery was the best.
Highly recommended!

I would give 7 stars! One of the best restaurant I've been. It's been a few days since we went but the Awesome taste of the food still lingers in my mouth. Service is great. Definitely will come.

Beautifully located under the Granville bridge, I must say they did a great job with the relocation. Very spacious and esthetically pleasing. The only down side is finding parking and getting there.

We started off with their chicken liver, french escagot and vietnamese coffees. We ordered their pho but unfortunately they forgot our order and we waited almost an hour for them to the point where we didn't feel like eating them anymore. Future reference, I would say you could just order one pho to share as it was quite a bit for everything. They did offer us some dessert to apologize for the miscommunication.

As we went on their first week of opening their new location, I can understand that they are still getting use to the area so mistakes can happen. Overall it's still a great place to go for lunch or dinner and I would go back again.

Disappointed after all the hype about this place. Food was ok, definitely had better food. Cocktails were weird tasting. Washrooms were flooded. Staff were friendly though.

Trendsetting French-Vietnamese cuisine in a classy space, located just a few steps up from the spinning chandelier under the north end of Granville Bridge. Linh Café capably handles party sizes of one to sixteen with a starry-eyed menu worth visits many times over. Our group experienced attentive and personable service throughout the evening that celebrated a family special event. I'm thankful that it introduced me to this well-storied "café" whose previous location closed to many a dismay on 4th Ave but whose community supports this fulfilling new move in full force!

I used to love this place. Before they open the branch the used to be Vietnamese French food but I dont know what happen now they are more like Chinese French.

Food taste good, but I can’t say the same about the service. Seated for 15 min with no water or menus. No one come and take the empty plates.

Poor service, staff inattentive, considering it wasn't even the dinner rush. Over priced, food not to the standards indicative to its decor or name. Only warm bread was nice. Such a shame for such a nice looking place. Very disappointed, Had such high hope's going in. Never returning.

Service was lack luster at best and the pho was 5/10. When asking for siracha, I was looked at weird, then given Frank's Red hot.

Definitely not going back

What a gem. I am so happy we tried this place! The service was fantastic … the servers were so attentive! The food was superb! From the clams in white wine to the escargot and those spicy baguettes! Wow … I couldn’t stop eating. We also had fall off the bone rotisserie duck and braised ribs and that crispy chicken with the spicy dipping sauce … my mouth is watering just remembering all those wonderful flavours. To top it off we also had the lemon tart, chocolate tart and a cream puff with black sesame that oozed out. And what about that sangria? I’ve had sangria in the past but I can easily say this is the best I’ve had. Not watered down at all, so it packed a punch.
This is definitely a 5 star Vietnamese French fusion restaurant that I will most likely return to. I haven’t had an overall great culinary experience like this in a long while…. Did I already mention I’m so happy we tried this place?

Not the right place to eat vegetarian, but still found good alternatives. Dishes all look succulent and nice service.

Amazing food and drinks. Initially found out about this place because someone told me they give a lot of bone marrow in their pho.

Turns they have some of the most amazing French food and mussels in the city.

Best Pho I have ever had. Rich broth makes it spectacular. Spring rolls and salad rolls are so tasty. A bit pricey though. I will go back.

Service was good. All of the food that was coming out of the kitchen did look good but we had preordered the Bun Bo Hue soup. I thought that the fact you had to pre-order and knowing all the ingredients that would be in the soup we had quite high expectations for this soup. The preorder was minimum of 4 bowls. So at $35 a bowl, again our exectations were high. I cannot tell you how incredible disappointing this soup was. The broth lacked the much depth of flavour that is needed for this soup. Nothing is more important in vietnamese soups as the broth. The ingredients were there but at this price, I would NEVER order this soup again. It tasted mediocre at best. We also ordered the fried spring rolls, which were nothing special either. We had been wanting to go here for a while but we can safely say we won't be back. Maybe we should have tried something else.

Vary standard level! Poor service, hamburger beef raw, and the French fries withered! Not coming back!

It's a very busy evening and the servers managed to made our dinner very pleasant.

I think that I had the best spring rolls ever at the Linh Cafe. The pho was also incredibly delicious. I would go back again just to have those two dishes. Service was great. What else can I ask for?

We love coming for bunch here. Great service and food is excellent! My favourite is the Brittany breakfast. It’s a must-try!

Excellent place. I highly recommend this Vietnamese French resteraunt.

We came here for brunch and ordered the mussels, escargot, and pho with bone marrow. The escargot was baked in garlic sauce so the taste was mainly garlic, not much the escargot. It was tender and melted in your mouth, not chewy at all. The myself were in a rich white sauce, which didn't mask the flavor of the mussels. My favorite was the pho. Since we ordered other dishes, we thought we'd just share one bowl of pho between two people but the portion is small and the both is so good, I regret not getting another bowl. The broth was rich because we added bone marrow, which was an extra$4. But it made the broth milky and delicious. There was a nice balance of beef slices and tender noodles. Don't add the hot sauce unless you can take spices really well because they pack a punch!

Whenever I come to Vancouver, I make sure to pass through Linh cafe. The service is always great, what’s greater is the the whole staff and chef. You surely won’t be disappointed if you pay them a visit. Thank you Linh cafe. Till next time.

Fantastic and yummy food, I love the ambience this spot has, and the staff members were nice. I will surely visit here again.

MUST GO Every dish I had here was above my expectation. When I first heard that it's a Vietnamese/French Cuisine (Fushion), it sounded fasinating, but I didn't expect too much. When I walked into the restaurant, the environment was very casual like the ordinary Viet restaurant/cafe. After I tried their menus? No wonder why there were so much line ups here. How they cooked the lobster was right on. Not overly cooked, soft enough for the meats to come out easily, and their garlic sauce with the bread? M'mm sooo goood But wait til you get the Rack of Lamb. I'd say this was the best Lamb I had in Vancouver. Crispy outside and amazingly tender inside. No smell at all and their sauce underneath is very good especially because it doesnt take away the taste of the Lamb. Bravo. Lastly the French Escargot was very good however the bread underneath is was crazy oily. I don't think it's edible. The Escargot is not with the pesto sauce just for your reference. It's still really good tho I can seriously go on and on complimenting this restaurant for another 2 hours ‍️ Please. I beg you. Just go.

진짜 그냥 최고의 맛인 레스토랑 베트남/프랑스 퓨전 음식점이라는걸 들었을때는 그냥 신기하면서도 기대는 딱히없었던거같아요. 레스토랑을 들어갔을때만해도 그냥 평범함의 극치는 곳을보고. 아 그냥 맛은 그저그러겠구나했죠. 그런데 음식들이 진짜 밴쿠버에서 나올수있는 맛있가 싶습니다. 제가 랍스터를 좋아해서 여기저기 먹으러 가봤지만 여기만큼 맛잇고 편하게 발라먹을수있는데는없었던거같아요. 토실토실한 살에 버터갈릭소스를 찍어먹으면 그리고 두번째 사진에보이는 Rack of Lamb. ‍️이건 이세상맛이 아니에요. 밖은 바삭 안에는 진짜 녹아드는식감. 양 특유냄새는 다 잡아주고 부드럽고 밑에있는 소스랑 너무잘어울리는데 고기의 맛을 확 잡아가지도않고. 그냥 맛있다뿐. 그리고 마지막으로 내사랑 달팽이! 이건 제가 흔히생각하는 페스토로 구운게아닌 이곳의 방식으로 만든듯싶은데 이것도 최고! 밑에 빵은 그냥 기름이라 먹지마세요.

I've been here 3 times. Twice for brunch and once for dinner. Amazing amazing! The food is delicious. The bread they give you is so good and they just keep it coming too! Personally, I prefer brunch. The service is always great as well.

For all the hype and previous great reviews, must say our visit was rather disappointing. The must-order pho is rather average and definitely not a top 3, or even a top 5, in the lower mainland, especially for the ridiculous price: $15 for the pho with no rare beef; the beef in our noodle was another $8 add-on. The braised beef arrived with the sauce already cold and hardened (refer to photo) - it's probably been prepared and just reheated before serving. It just did not look appetizing at all although to be fair it was rather tasty abeit little dry. Our oysters were really really small; lastly the duck leg dish was rather oily and the meat is again, rather dry. The best dish of the night was indeed the lemon tart pie with the right balance of acidity and balance. As such for the almost $200 meal for 4, when the lemon tart stands out as the best dish, it is hard to justify any excitement. Service was acceptable but the place was rather busy so you had to really fight for any attention or service. Not eager for another revisit any time soon.

Finally was able to visit. Come early before dinner rush, or you’ll have to wait for a long time. Smaller restaurant, not too much seating, but definitely worth the wait!

Their mussels were really good. Comes with unlimited bread and butter to dip in the sauce (recommend you do this because the sauce is really, really good).

We also ordered the Braised Short Ribs (dinner) that came with honey-glazed carrots. Little bit smaller portion but the ribs were very soft and sauce was really yummy (doesn’t come with bread, but if you ordered the mussels, you can use that bread). Honey-glazed carrots were really good and sweet.

Edited to add that the last picture is their house sauce. It’s definitely really spicy but also really flavourful and yummy. You can purchase a jar to-go for ~$20, and it’s really worth it.

It's just ok, portion is pretty small for the hefty price. Have I had better food at a lower price point? Definitely!

We ordered the mussels and pork rillette sandwhich and they were both excellent. It was quite busy as we arrived during peak hours during kits day but were seated within 10 minutes. Service was friendly and prompt considering how busy they were.

A small place but big flavours and good food. Very nice staff. Every person I bring here always asks me to bring them again. Very tasty escargot and beef pho.

Amazing food, super friendly service coupled with atmosphere that feels like home. You can have faith that even if you order with a blindfold, 90% of what you order is superb.

First time is delicious, order PHO and ask for their pepper, side noodle is free so you can eat til you get tired of it. Don’t go too frequent though

Highly recommended for beef pho.this place is just sooo tasty and different from any pho I've ever tried! I love the hot peppers that was provided as well with our meal!

I went there on the weekdays around 6pm. It was busy, but we were lucky to get seated in 5~10 mins. The snails are soooo good. Perfect to dip some bread. The broth for the Pho is probably the best in town. Clear and flavourful. The food was served very quick even though it was busy.
