Liuyishou Hotpot Burnaby

The dishes are rich and fresh, and I actually had tribute vegetables and cuttlefish lobsters that I haven't had in many years. Anita's service is warm and thoughtful, and the environment has a hot pot atmosphere. The complimentary cold dishes also taste very good. It’s authentic Chongqing hot pot!

Anita was a great server, kept checking in on us and recommended a bunch of things. Mg bf and I enjoyed the experience as well as the food. Will come back for sure!

My husband and me were so satisfied being here! They were having beef for $1.95/ plate and we ordered 12 of them And the quality still good. We ordered tomato broth and it was a perfect match with handcraft noodles!

The service attitude is very good and the taste is as good as ever! The hairy belly is a must!

Highly recommend the mushroom soup base and the deep fried dragon beard! Plus Paris was a wonderful and accommodating server which helped to create a welcoming atmosphere for a first time visitor.

This is my first visit to LiuYiShou at Kingsway Burnaby, can’t be more satisfied with the foods and service. The meats are fresh and you have plentiful sources to choose from. The waitress are very thoughtful to attend our table all time. Will definitely come back!

The pork bone soup base tasted like nothing. All the food was mediocre, nothing special. The meat was also so thin compared to other hot pot chains, I was very surprised. The beef platter was a huge disappointment, it was paper thin, rough, and didn't have much flavour. The beef tongue tasted better but was also quite thin (picture below). It wasn't cheap either and costed us $50 per person including tips but we only ordered some meat, vegetables and carbs. With so much hot pot competition, this location doesn't stand a chance and we will not be back. Surely the other reviews are fake.

I don't say anything about food, but the service is terrible. The waiter was very rude and made a face like I owe him money. He didn't even say thank you at the end. I will never go to this restaurant again. The rating is the lowest. I usually never rate restaurants or write reviews, but this experience was very unpleasant.

Wonderful surprise do us hot pot lovers who are new in town. We tried three soup bases, original spicy, pepper chicken and tomato. All are delicious. The special beef is specially tasty and we love the sauces which are freshly made. The only improvement we would love to see is the freshness of vegetables.
We would definitely come again.

This is my first time here, but I haven't tried it yet.we called to book a table for three and they said they don't take reservations, only walkin. Then we said we would come.when we got there they told us to show the vaccine code. However, a minute later, a staff member came out saying they have a group of 30 they are coming now so they can't take us.if they know the other group is coming, they should say full book tonight so we don't waste time running over.in my opinion, they got that group of people after my call.and it is really time consuming almost 30 minutes to go there and leave in anger.
