Loblaws City Market

Another Loblaws, same same like Superstore, except trying to be a more premium brand so they can charge more for groceries.

Unless you need a specific item which you can not find anywhere else please do not go to shop in this supermarket because they don’t care about you just money they are interested and look at the high prices even with millions of dollars of profit they make every year.
By shopping there you are only supporting them!

For the second time this month, I have purchased a prepackaged bag of small potatoes and returned home to discover several of the potatoes were rotten and leaking a smelly black fluid.
I had to throw away my grocery bag.
The first time it was Strawberries with green mould and oranges that were dry inside.
Put simply: overpriced and inferior produce that the store owners are willing to sell at inflated prices. Shareholders make millions in profit while I throw away $17 of worthless inedible food in the garbage.
I will not be returning to this store and will make a genuine effort to mention this fact to the many people I interact with daily.

Ok.they sell most of things that we needed.the customer service lady very understanding.as well most workers here.just pity that lobster been on sales for long time.

Awesome staff and everything you need in a grocery store, with a convenient location that is near other needed shops (such as liquor store) and exotic restaurants to explore.

Never have my Lavazza coffee or Fresh Croissants in store. All staff have ignored me every time I go to the store. It's very sad. I don't like being treated poorly: (

Not a fan of their prices. I only go here for last minute purchases. Underground parking is free during Covid.

I like this store as it's not stressful shopping here. Plus the cashiers are fun and professional. I got to know one and she and I do a short dance when we see eachother.

It's okay, because prices are a little bit higher than Walmart, but their qualities are not high. You can find some goods with the optimum price and quality.

This for the pharmacy first thing I like to say is thank you and thank you and thank you so much to the people that work at the pharmacy I don't have the words to describe the kindness the knowledge that those people have especially management Joanne Ben thanks for going above and beyond way above and beyond what your job calls for I am truly sorry for having to leave your pharmacy because I moved way out and nowhere Surrey I've been commuting for months now and I can't do it anymore unfortunately to come to your pharmacy to pick up my monthly prescriptions thank you thank you and thank you some more now if anybody out there who needs a pharmacist that has knowledge compassion and overall I'm looking for a word here I can't find a word right now but people you need a good pharmacy to go to a place where they'll call you by your first name or the people that work there are happy you best be gone to this place easy to change over your prescriptions what they've done for me is more than what I'm sure any other pharmacies would have done anyways thank you very much Jo Anne and all the other people involved there thanks again and I hope to be back soon I really want to move back to North Van someday jude

I called and asked if they have vegan baked goods and the lady on the phone was making fun of my question and told me that i can get salad

Pretty good store, wish it was open later though. Staff are fine and if you are getting bad service it's probably your own fault. Nearly expired food is clearly marked 30% off, just plan to eat it that or the next day problem solved.

They consistently have amazing steaks. Price and tenderness is awesome. They don't have as much selection as other grocery stores as they are usually smaller, but still a great store

Very fond of the wellness station next to the pharmacy, it checks your blood pressure, pulse, BMI, weight and body fat percentage.

Everything you need to buy is here. Public restroom and public parking. Clean store and knowledgeable and friendly staff

I went to the North Vancouver Loblaws an at 3: 30 and bought 7 or 8 items then went to customer service for ten loonies for laundry and the woman employee rudely say nope nope nope, wagging her head. She could have been polite. I have used l have used loblaws for 20 years. I will not be returning because of that woman. She was an older white lady with very dark straight shoulder length hair. I then called that loblaw’s manager‘s extension 3 times to make a complaint and there was no message system and no one answered.

When this first opened i loved it. I don't know who's running it now but it's dreadful, limited fresh produce every time especially organic, I can never get organic Kale, I end up having to go elsewhere for veggies. It appears that stuff is randomly put on shelves and not together, I used to buy organic good chocolate and lots of other organic items beans, grains, flours but just gave up as I couldn't find them anymore.
Today arrived no carts to be found upstairs so went to the car park to go and get one, went to the pharmacy section to purchase band aids and found the organic chocolate next to band aids. It makes no sense it takes me twice as long to shop as I can never find anything. Why are things not put together, mexican food had a row of salmon and tins of tuna today. I like specific higher end products but there never together. I give up shopping here. Why can you not set up your supermarket like European stores, all cheeses together all fours, grains etc together so you can make an informed choice on brands and products. Its literally all over the shop. Please get organized it's a beautiful store with a wonderful view from the check out.

My daughter & I visited to get a few items. This is an amazing place to shop. Carries everything one needs. We left happily with our purchases, prices are reasonable. A very clean store, displays lovely. This would be my place to shop if I move to this area.

They have everything here food wise. Good variety to pick from. Kind of pricey but everything is great quality. Sometimes they have good sales going on.

The bulk bread bins are often empty in the evening. The bakery refused to sell us the bread that was ready on the racks behind the counter. Their reason for not selling was that it was only for sale for customers for the next morning. Makes a lot of sense. I guess customers 12 hours into the future are more important than customers already there.

Park underground for free - remember to have your parking ticket validated at checkout.

Rather confusing to find escalator up.

It is a grocery store with a trendy lunch spot.

Has a nice, but expensive, bakery counter.

Good selection of fresh produce and specialty foods.

Pharmacy is well staffed and efficient.

Deli counter takes special requests.

Overall a positive experience.

Went in tonight and accidentally purchased a mouldy product off the shelf. It was nowhere near its expiry date. There was no way they could have known.
I took it back and their customer service staff Niki, Shijie and manager Tyler went above and beyond to make it right.

Great staff. 10/10 would reccomend for customer service.

This place is great for finding sorta specialty items. It has a really good hot food section as well with deli sandwhichs and fancy salads. Huuuuge cheese selection in a fancy special cheese fridge. The butchers counter has great selection and a very knowledge butcher to help you.

I really like Loblaws and this location specifically. I was disappointed to see the self serve checkouts only accept cash. It's strange in this day and age to assume people are carrying cash. I asked about it at the Customer Service desk and ended up having to defend my point with a frustrated staff person who had obviously been asked the question several times. She said ALL the other stores are cash only too! I told her that's simply not true.

Corporate welfare bums.

The quality of the produce is often not very good and really overpriced. They often run out of common produce and poultry. The amount of pre packaged stuff too is ridiculous and totally wasteful. Pretty sure things like green beans don't need to be pre weighed and packaged.

1 star for the pharmacy and pharmacists. They are helpful, friendly and have fast service.

If you need to shop at a Loblaws the Park Royal location is light years better.
