One of the best grocery store around. Well supplied. Staff is extremely helpful and will go above and beyond to help you find what you need.

Convenient for our stay. On the small side, so not as many selections. Outstanding bakery.

One of the greatest contributors to the rising cost of food in Canada. Loblaws makes record profits and continues to raise prices at absurd rates. I can only imagine being an employee here: watching your own cost of living increase while you are not given raises to match, effectively being docked pay for reasons beyond your control.

To the customer who complained about customer service in these reviews suggesting the employee was only ‘there for the paycheck’- yes, she is. This is, in fact, how jobs work. Despite that, the customer service here is actually fantastic, no matter how little Loblaw’s as a corporation deserves them as employees.

You tell me. Look at the photos of what I grabbed off the shelf. Moldy tomato juice leaking over my other stuff too. The store needs to make sure they wipe the area where this package was bought from too, before they make people sick!

We ordered a full sheet birthday cake - strawberry shortcake - the cake was amazing - thanks to the bakery department

Clean store with a large variety of produce. Their chopped vegetables salad collection is very comprehensive compared to other convenient stores, and i always came here to buy those.

Don’t buy flowers here! They don’t know how to wrap it at all. Undertrained. The finished product looks rather depressing.

This store was one of my favorites. Lately though it's not as friendly. The organic section is in an awkward location. Where people line up for checkout. When busy it's very difficult to shop that area. It does have an awesome selection of organics though.

High prices and usually it of the produce I came for. They do have an excellent cheese selection though.

Convenient location, good quality produce and a comfortable shopping experience. One of my go-to grocery stores in the city!

I teach Argentine Tango and as a dance instructor I need to eat healthy. This is a great store and price are not bad. I like this place. Also has easy parking.

It is a very clean and bright store. The staff are lovely and it wasn't busy. Would definitely go back there to shop for sale items.

The best thing in here is the cheese variety:) they have nice salmon options and the bakery is amazing

They don't carry advertised products and items are placed in the wrong place when they run out. I complained to staff 3 TIMES when I bought items that were placed by staff in the place of sale items that ran out, and the manager just shrugged and walked away. A week later the misplaced items were still in the same place.
A convenient location is not the sole reason for operating any business. Management here do not appear capable of managing. (they're disrespectful and arrogant)

In a spam on 2 mins in a store I saw 2 customers NOT wearing masks, one at self-check out. I asked associates hanging around the self checkout why not implement protocols. Sir, ' Management told us not to approach non-maskers'. I guess better to close down and put profits first before community healthcare.

Great selection and found these fresh chicken wings for 10.99 for 16 pieces. Pizza party here we come ️

I had recently moved to the area and this is the closest grocery store to me. I decided to play an order for pickup as I was pretty tired from moving.

When I came home with my order there were either items missing or incorrect items received. I called customer service and they told me they would refund me for the missing item as well as the incorrect item received.

A week later I had not received the refund. I call them back and someone takes my name and number and says they will call me back. 3 days later I still hadn’t heard from them.

I called them yesterday and told them I still had no refund and no one called me back. They told me they will refund me again and ensured I would receive it this time. I receive a call back later that night at 8pm of all times saying that they already sent the refund.

I told them they can trace the payment and see I did not receive it. They said they already did call their payment management provider and confirmed that the refund was sent but could not confirm where it went (?). They insisted I come in the store to receive the refund.

At the end of the day this has left me with a horrible experience. I am not sure why they are insisting all of a sudden I go back to the store for a refund of $13. At this point I am over it and will probably never shop here again.

My first visit. Very narrow parking spaces. Customers walking about the store with no mask, unchallenged by staff. I can't think of a reason to return.

The location is beautiful as well as the store itself. Good variety of meat products and bakery stuff, friendly staff specially the girl who helped me, Shiwani.

I appreciate that the staff are always friendly and help me load my reusable bags. Prices are great and I love their reward program, PC products are high quality. Easy and free parking underground. Despite following a strict diet I am usually able to find what I need, if not, because they are out of stock.

I had a great experience at the location. They have a good range of meat and bakery stuff. Manager named Shiwani was so helpful, she was so professional but with a good humour.

Wide variety of products. Fresh fruits and veggies. Comfortable place to shop. Love the weekly discounts and other special promotions

Like how the checkouts have been rearranged. Been a while since I have shopped at this location as previous design was poor. Now only issue is the self checkout cannot be used by someone who uses a wheelchair - having the credit card machines on top of the monitor makes them not reachable and a person needs assistance to check out which is the opposite of the purpose of "self checkout".

You can find anything you need there. Not sure why but I just feel everything there is higher quality.

Just moved to Vancouver and am so glad this place is nearby. Great stock and selection, and the prices are good too.

Free parking underground and free street parking. Groceries are all reasonably priced and competitive compared to other places. Fruits and vegetables are very fresh. Good mix of staple items as well specialty items. Staff is friendly. Self checkout works well.

Michelle at Arbutus City market needs to recognized. Amazing customer service. Friendly, efficient and so helpful. Not sure if she takes a day off? As a high risk family, she sees that all our needs are met for safe pickup. Amazing

Why are they always sold out of everything? Save your time and just drive up the street to the Safeway.

First time in this store. I actually haven't been to this side of town in a long time. Lots of change in this beautiful Arbutus neighborhood including this Independent Grocer. Save On Foods has its Nesters, and Superstore has its Independent Grocers. Quite a snazzy joint. The store is very clean and well organized. Shelves are fully stocked.plus they open until 11pm! Nice.

Horrible place, especially the deli and food counter. The kids that work here don't even know what they are doing. I was waiting to get served almost 35 minutes with just one other customer.has happened 5 times before. The poor Young kids don't know what they are doing.

It would be nice if they could continue having superior quality produce. For a while they had much better quality fruit and veggies but now it seems it's the same as everywhere. More Tangelos! Lol

I really enjoy shopping here. Atmosphere is excellent and there’s always sale items that make it into my weekly meal prep. The cashiers are Also friendly and the store layout mostly makes sense. 10/10

Reasonably priced items. Would recommend coming here over save-on and safeway. They sell the same stuff but, much cheaper. The only issue is some of the staff can be lazy.

Expensive. The store seems to be on par with other grocery chains but the prices seem higher for sure

It's fine if you're stuck but I wouldn't recommend it for a weekly shop as there's not much selection and minimal quantity of what they do carry.

Has a lot of organic stuff, which makes it pricier but its a really nice neighborhood grocery store. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The bakery/cafe at the one end sells coffee and muffins etc. The cashier layout of the store is a bit confusing though, especially for newcomers

Like any other grocery store but have a good cheese and dry aged meat section. Worth taking a look if you like those things.

Smallish, conveniently located "super" market in a neighbourhood desperate for supermarkets. Nothing out of the ordinary unless you come here by car; that's when the adventure begins.

Circling down in into the garage you realize at some point that the garage lights are motion sensitive, and you find yourself feeling alone in a creepy, empty garage. Mustering up the courage you, walk towards the entrance only to be greeted by a series of never ending set of spiraling stairs. As you walk up the stairs you are presented with random goods like flats of water for $5.99, which apparently you are expected to haul up the aforementioned ascending spiral of stairs, pay for, and then bring all the way back down.

Nothing bad per se but definitely an experience.

This location is clean, has a wonderful selection of prepared dishes either ready to eat or take and bake/warm, and the staff is also friendly.

I'm a major fan of this store. High quality foods, good pricing, large selection, and merchandised very well. I wish they had one closer to downtown Vancouver. I'd do all my grocery shopping there.

Bought a pie. It fell out of the box into the shopping bag. They stated there is nothing wrong with the pie.

Fresh and ready food to eat for on the go. Loved when they would 50% off stuff almost expiring me and my bf would go crazy in there when they had the richmond location. It didnt last long.so I was pretty disappointed when it closed down. Sometimes wed even get their inhouse made cheese pizza and then grab our own deli meat and veggies and create our own pizza. There needs to be more of this store. For real. This place had everything.

Overall a decent selection of products. Their cheese crisps are pretty delicious when they are made crispy and crunchy, but it is inconsistent as sometimes they are soft and too soggy.

Good selection and some great prices on specials. However, parking stalls in underground parkade are far too narrow.

I arrived earlier in the morning a few days ago and the store was beautiful, very clean and most of the employees were super friendly. I am writing about an incident that happened towards the end of my visit, I went to the checkout and was about to head over to a checkout lane when a female, about 30, white with frizzy hair and glasses came up to me and started yelling "ARE YOU PAYING WITH CARD OR WITH CASH ma'am? " I was a bit confused with her question and attitude when I didn't reply for 3 seconds she yelled again CARD OR CASH? Before I could answer she mumbled "do you even speak English" I said with card and she offered to help me at self check out. I went to pay and had a bit of difficulty with the machines. She went "I don't know where YOU are from, but THIS is how you're supposed to use these" in a very rude tone.it's disgusting to think this store hires people that treats minorities like this and speaks to them in such a belittling tone. I moved here from Mexico almost 16 years ago and never have I experienced anything like this. Do better please I hope to never see this woman here again

I do really like City market. They have a great selection of cheeses and they have a nice premade food counter. I will say they don't have a good selection of ethnic food, and they don't have a lot of variety in the brands that they do carry.
