Never had a worse customer experience in my life, specifically the electronics department worker who treated my partner and I like criminals when we were actively trying to purchase a very expensive product that was locked up. I worked at LD when I was younger and the standard was much, much, higher for staff. Sad to see such unsuitable individuals working at what used to be a retailer that made its name with exceptional customer service.

When my 12 year old TV finally gave up, I immediately thought of London Drugs as the place to get a new one. I checked online and visited the store and was able to find exactly what I wanted. They couldn't actually find it in the back, but they came back with a slightly better model with a managers discount. It's important to be able to speak to staff who actually know what they are talking about and LD seems to always have that capability. I get most of electronics (and cookware) there.

Shout out to the London Drugs on Yates! The store shelves are full of great Christmas ideas and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I must have had 6 staff people welcome me and smile and offer help. Quite impressive these days. Bravo. Got all my stocking stuffers in one store.

Had a frustrating experience today with the photolab. Earlier today I was given an email that my film negatives were ready for pickup but I didn’t also receive the email with my scanned images, which normally is sent out first. I tried calling the store to get my photo scans but when transferred to the photolab, they were too busy to pick up (I get that), so later I went to to the store in person. When I got there I was told that my photo scans along with others weren’t emailed out properly due to staff errors and the employee I spoke with called a lab person to re-send my files. I was told to call again before 9: 00pm if I still hadn’t received an email with my photos, and at 8: 45 I still hadn’t received them so I called only to be told on the other line that the photolab staff had left already and that I need to call again in the morning. I understand the workplace being busy, but it shouldn’t be such a hassle to try and retrieve finished image files that normally get emailed without any store visit/phone call required. The staff I spoke to were very kind and the lab mistakes weren’t on them, but the situation itself is very frustrating as it feels like time was wasted being on hold on the phone or stopping by in person only for nothing to come of it and now l may have to do it all again tomorrow.

I should add that I’ve never had this issue before in years of taking my film here so I’m optimistic it’s a one time thing. If I had more free time to go around I wouldn’t be as bothered

Whenever you get news you need to repair your iPhone it’s difficult to know what to do but this time I made an appt at London Drugs and the tech department took such incredible care of me and my partner. If you want real customer service, come to this location. We were helped by 3 different guys and all of them were super friendly and were just trying to get me my phone back as soon as possible. All in all a real delight. Thanks for the awesome service guys. You have a couple of loyal customers. Keep up the great work. We appreciate you.

Trying to get a very simple refill had become an exercise in verbal attrition, if you don't have like 3 or 4 lifetimes to refill a simple prescription I would suggest somewhere else.

I recently switched to this pharmacy about a month ago now from shoppers and I have to say that I am floored by how much better the service is here. The pharmacists have been incredibly nice and accommodating as has the general staff when refilling my prescriptions. The prices are also WAY better. I knew I was overpaying at shoppers but I didn't realize just how bad it was. My only complaint is that I wish I'd switched months ago!

I would give zero but not possible. The most painful experience in my life of retail. DO NOT BUY AN EBIKE FROM A PHARMACY?
PLUGPLUS is garbage. No warranty no service. Pay pay pay for adjustments or it just rattles till the screws are loose. Brakes failed and needed replacing within 3 weeks. Luckily I WAS a LDextras member so my 15 day return policy extended to 30 days. I fought for my money back. Clayton stuck with us through the refund process. Really disappointed by some of the staff at this location. THE RULE OF RETAIL. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! A valued customer is a returning customer! Stand by your products London Drugs! So happy I didn't have to eat 1600 bucks for this bike. Remember they only pay 300-400 bucks for the bikes and mark them up to $1800. Buyer Beware

Beware the electronics return policy. I was assured upon purchase that they had a great return policy within 15 days. The device did not come with a plastic shield/covering for the top painted surface

I went to return it (and even after mishandling my device bumping it against the plastic spit shield), The manager/clerk refused to process my refund due to physical damage on the device (IMO so minor that it could've been shipped that way). Please see the pictures of the device and judge for yourself if this is reasonable. I was extremely disappointed with the product, the handling of the return, and the overall return policy. I escalated to the store manager and they said that "yeah, that's why I would never get the painted finish". I was shocked that they wouldn;t warn someone if it was a known issue or they just truly do not want to honour their return policy.

Just like any departmental store, this one is as good as the other ones and bad as the other ones. It’s all about keeping an eye open and do price check before buying. I’ve got some good deals when items go on sale but the new items like electronics are double the price that what it is available for on Amazon. Good collection of different items. Overall a good shopping experience, just that always do a price comparison with other store especially, Amazon.

I have been shopping here for years and never had a problem that couldn't be fixed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the selection is good, and I especially love the people and resources in the photography department. Normally, I would rate this location at 5 stars.

However, I can't do that now. London Drugs has chosen to allow the sale of dangerous misinformation about COVID-19 in their stores. These news magazines with misinformation are displayed in several prominent locations.

Solely for the electronics department, I don’t really use other departments: the Apple repairs technicians here and the other people in the electronics department are the best in the city, they’re always super helpful over the phone and in-person the many times I’ve had to bring in Apple devices for repair. Super great!

Worst London Drugs on the island! Picked up my online order. I checked onsite: missing half the components, plus given to me in a damaged box. Fiona (mgr) reluctantly said she'd look at other stores (after I asked). Left me standing there for over 20min. Front desk also very unhelpful.
In less time, I searched on the website and found there weren't any, then went and found an alternative - she had clearly forgotten about me standing there. Never saw her again.
The front desk clerk told me to just take the alternative choice and leave. (Same price but he didn't give me a new receipt, so now I'm out of luck if I want to return it).

Their 15 return policy is a joke to Canadians. Canadian Tire and other stores have a 90 day return policy and an extension of 60 days on top of that due to covid.

There is no reason for a 15 day return policy. Support other businesses with a respectable return policy.

As drugstores go, London Drugs is by far my favorite. I can find almost anything I'm looking for, for the entire household, from a lightly to quality electronics, stationary to candy or coffee. Plus of course a well run full service pharmacy. The best part is the prices are always very good in comparison to their competitors.

I have the unfortunate opportunity to come here for diabetic supplies regularly, and every single time without a doubt is an absolute nightmare. Pharmacy staff is extremely rude and condescending, regularly make mistakes, then have the audacity to give you attitude like it's your fault they can't do their job. News flash to pharmacy we can hear you talk smack about patients from the side. There's always a huuuuge line to pic up your prescription and they spend more time talking about their personal lives to eachother than ringing through transactions. If you're able to go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE do so and save yourself the grief. Took 20+ poor experiences before writing this review. Miss the old staff from 10 years ago who were capable and less entitled.

My 'go to' place for electronics. I've purchased a stereo system including surround sound (Dolby Atmos), PCs, printers, peripherals, and supplies since 2013. The photo shop is great; I've ordered many keepsakes online and picked them up at the Harris Green location.

Really nice and helpful staff - very professional.

Very clear Covid protocols in place, which I appreciate.

They offer self-check out which is my preference.

London Drugs Harris Green helps me. For that I am grateful.

Biggest waste of my time, energy and money 2020

Good store overall, but do beware of the tech department, some (not all) of the staff, manager included, were pretty out of it, unenthusiastic, unprofessional and unwilling to provide reasonable service.

I brought in a macbook for repair, having already had a diagnostic done by london drugs, and they informed me upon pickup that they were charging me for another diagnostic procedure ($56) without prior notice or consent.

It took 40 minutes for them to insist that they had indeed told me prior to the drop off that I would be charged again for a redundancy.

Well the headphone cable i got, the only one avaliable there; it's pretty bad. Dollar store quality, but with almost no functionality with its design with today's electronics. This is very disappointing, as London drugs used to have at least some kind of value in thier electronics. Also Carleton hates his job there immensely.

If you're looking for a compassionate or competent pharmacy, do not come here.

I have gone to this pharmacy since I moved here almost 10 years ago now. The service has been off and on, ranging from being treated like a normal person to being treated in a discriminatory or otherwise standoffish way. After what has happened a few weeks ago and last week, I am done with this place.

Few weeks ago, while discussing how to transfer a prescription of mine that is classified as a controlled substance, the pharmacist loudly talked about the classification so that it was audible to other customers in line. Thanks for that, really appreciate sounding like I'm on methadone to a large group of strangers.

The cherry on top of the sh*t cake came when I had to deal with a new medication (which I desperately need) that I have to take orally, which is always a huge, stressful hassle for me because I have severe celiac disease. This means I have to make 100% sure that anything I ingest is not even slightly contaminated with gluten or I will get seriously sick. It is hell. I have to ask the pharmacy to phone the manufacturer and check their notebooks to make sure I can take it and, usually, I cannot and am left to fend on my own. But they always have done it for me just in case there was a chance I could have it. When I went this last Friday, I dealt with a pharmacist who 1: rudely blurted out at me that there was no point in phoning the company as they were just going to tell them that they couldn't guarantee and refused to check anything for me and 2: was very aggressive when I tried to calmly explain that I need help figuring out what to do next if she wasn't going to do any sort of investigation for me and that previous contamination issues had made me need to suddenly go off other essential medications last year which caused me to plummet health-wise. There was not even a shred of compassion in her dealing with me.

My family and I have gone through absolute hell this year particularly, though sh*t never stops hitting the fan for us. I have lost my father during COVID. I have had to deal with absolute insanity after his death within the family. I have had my mother come out the other side of an abusive relationship and see things that no one should ever have to see. I have had pets pass suddenly, my physical and mental health worsen as I have chronic issues, and people continue to discriminate against me every step of the way trying to find a way out of this mess. I am at my wits end; I'm not even near 30 yet. Dealing with this interaction with the pharmacist sent me into a severe panic attack that saw me almost pass out before I could get into my vehicle and has again intensified my fear and lack of trust in the medical system.

I imagine they deal with a lot of difficult customers being downtown, especially during COVID, but these interactions were completely unacceptable, as are many others I've had with them. I guess this is what the hit-or-miss service has lead to. Seriously, even if you live downtown I would recommend you go to another pharmacy, especially if you look like anything other than your most stereotypical Victorian.

Bonus: there is a heavy-set, short blonde lady who works at the front of the store. I got to see her freak out at a man who very clearly had dementia last year, well before COVID, at The Market on Yates. This poor old gentleman was struggling to pay for a bun that he had picked out to purchase and was riffling through his change. He was so heavily affected by dementia that he just couldn't do it and it was holding up the line. His wife/caregiver was trying her best to help him. This woman from London decided the best thing to do, rather than going to another till quietly like any normal, empathetic human being would do, was to shout at them something along the lines of "Look, I get it, but some of us have sh*t to do! ". So she recognized that the man had dementia and still felt entitled to be a POS to them. They were devastated by this interaction. Thanks for employing such a great person, London.

Customer service at this London Drugs location has always been very good, but the service provided by Forrest last week was exceptional. Forrest (in electronics) put in time and effort to track down an item which was not available in Victoria and had to be brought in from the mainland. Very grateful and impressed with his help.

I visited photo studio here, Before my visit I call them and asked if they took digital photo for id card and the lady said yes and it is $15. Then when I arrived there someone at the counter said no we only provide prints. After I explained that I called before coming he admit they can also send the photo to email but I will also get a print without extra charge as well totaling $15. After too much struggle he found how to send the photo to email and when I said Ok where is the print he change his words and said there is going to be extra charge for that. At the end he charged me $20 no print (there was additional charge for sending email $3 - no one mentioned this) When I arrived home I found that their photo resolution and size doesn't match the specs I provided and I am not looking straight to camera - terrible experience.

Went this morning to get fews accessories for my new phone, in 20 minutes, NO ONE came to ask me if I needed something. Not even the manager who passes two times beside me while I was opening boxes trying to figure out what size of phone cases I needed.

I don’t think London drugs need four staff members in the electronic department, they don’t give any services! Why are you paying these peoples? So many peoples need a job right now and could give a much better service then all of you together!

This branch hires very good people and they have always been helpful when I visit. Try not to call them if you don't have to, though. It has been quicker in the past for me to go down in person, even if it's just a simple question.

My complaint is re information. Concerned that the regular hours might be changed due to Good Friday, l phoned. I got a recorded message telling me to check online. Online notes that the regular posted hours might be changed due to it being Good Fridsy. So.what a waste of time! Websites should give accurate information.

Not impressed- Ordered an item on stock for store pickup. Order was confirmed but Didn't receive an email saying that order is ready. When I talked to a person in store he advised that we are processing your order. Waited for 7+ days.still no email confirmation. When I called the store person. He said it's been cancelled and apologized for not sending me an email mentioning the cancellation of the Product. Poor customer service- refused that he can't make the order ready even if I wait for one more week. There is no option to give 0 hence giving a one star rating.

I came into London Drugs to purchase reading glasses, found the pair that I liked, proceeded to the customer service self-serve check out area to purchase them and was told that the store does not sell the glasses that I picked and was told they were likely put on the shelf in error or lost by another customer. I was told that I could not buy them and she placed them in the lost and found. I left the store and looked up the glasses on the London Drugs website, found them listed on sale, and phoned the store back and gave her the item number. At that time I was told I could come back and buy them! I do not give LD even one star for this performance!

Over all a good store. Very busy location.
The selection is good and the pharmacy is efficient and pleasant.
I took a star as any store that clutters their isles with displays is not doing themselves a service.
I have never seen anyone take anything from one of these displays, but I have seen a lot of traffic jams because of them. And having to move them to get to products hidden behind defeats any benefit of having them.

I returned A sirus xm radio 2 years ago without a bill and was told the 29.99$ would come in the form of a Giftcard credit that I never did receive. When I enquired a couple weeks later they told me their was know record of a Giftcard to be given to me. I kinda figured that they may have thought I stole the merchandise, anyways with that being said I have had nothing but positive things to say about that location.

Asked one of the employees to get me the waterpik which was locked in a shelf, he said I'll get the keys. Waited for more than 10 mins, saw him doing other stuff, got tired and walked out. Busy? Can't do? Communicate to the customer?

Went to this branch to take passport photos, the quality was bad! And there was only one man serving three at a time, and maybe because of that his customer service was awful!?

Update:
The treatment I got from the manager of the branch was very respectful, and he offered to take new photos free of charge. I thank him so much and I hope everyone always gets a good service!

Stephanie was great! She was very patient with me when I was shopping for a macbook charger. She explained to me that an off brand charger could fry my macbook and even price matched other stores, London Drugs was the least expensive. She even recycled my old charger. I don't necessarily think of london drugs when shopping but that just changed

Went to buy a networking cable at London Drugs. You can buy one for 50 dollars with same length online for 13 dollars. London Drugs claims to do price match, but under the stipulation the product has to be identical, brand etc.

Therefore, the network-cable in store is a London Drugs' brand they do not price match at all.so fake price matching.

Just save yourself a trip and buy anything electronic online. If it was a 5 dollar difference okay.but more than triple the price on a CABLE.and they are not willing to price match well.they are going to lose business.

London Drug's cat5/cat6 networking (internet cable) is identical to what you find anywhere else online i.e. Amazon.

The only difference is London Drugs chooses to brand their own network cable even though it is (most likely) made in the same manufacturing factory as all the others somewhere in China.

I really frankly don't care, but just leaving helpful advice for future customers to look online or somewhere else rather than London Drugs for non-inflated scammy level priced network cables.

Picking a cable up at the store would have meant I got it a day or two sooner, and I would have paid a bit more for it but not 3x the price.for a cord.not worth it.

Sneaky policies for returns, price matches, warranties and other guarantees. I had similar experience as other reviewers where they refuse to price match something because its a "london drug" brand.even though its a generic accessory cable. Turns out the cables are not identical - the one I got off Amazon for 1/3 the price is actually a nicer looking and thicker cable than in the store anyway.unless you have an emergency and want to pay 300% the price, don't waste your time here.

Have had to change review - past 2 year service has gone steadily downhill. Consistently out of stock on sale items and staff vague and not helpful. Useful rewards program but time matters so no longer visit.
