I was at London drugs on 11 Dec 2023, there was a cashier who had a customer that had to go back in to the store, I went to that cashier and he said he was helping someone, so I went to the self checkout, 3 other people tried to go to that cashier but were turned away, with the same reason. I think he should have voided that transaction and helped everyone else trying to check out

Stay away from this pharmacy if you value your time. Always a huge line and everyone always has a hassle so the line moves slowly.

Update… I went back to pickup my prescription and only had two people ahead of me. It still took 25 minutes! Both people had issues with things being wrong and staff unable to resolve issues.

Got my “do not substitute” prescription and they have substituted it with something else without asking.

Consistently terrible. Find literally any other pharmacy in the city…… unless you’re a fan of hour (plus) -long lines and/or showing up to pick up prescriptions (that you were given a pick-up time for by the staff) only to discover they haven’t even bothered to start your prescription yet.

Honestly this pharmacy is going so far down hill it’s insane. I’ve had a few issues where I’ve gone and they don’t have my prescription ready. It’s taken days sometimes and they staff are always rude.

I get it. Everywhere is short staffed but they are beyond help it seems. Now they have this stupid policy that if a dr fax’s a prescription in you have to go talk to a pharmacist before they will fill it.

So now instead of using the time wisely the pharmacists are doing more work talking to all these people coming in thinking their prescription is filled. So I lugged my toddler there only to be told now I have to come back? Heck no. It would be way less work for the pharmacist to get the faxed prescription and just fill it. If it’s a new prescription talk to the person when they come in.

Not to mention my dr messed up and didn’t put the full amount of pills to fill. It’s in my file how many I normally get. I thought pharmacists were being given more power. He couldn’t look it up and just fill it with how many I normally get? Ridiculous.

We are switching pharmacies and I suggest you do the same. Can not believe the amount of disrespect they are giving their clients.

Can never get anyone in the pharmacy to pick up the phone, no matter how many times I call or how long I wait while it rings. Would be nice to see if my prescription is ready before I drive all the way down there just to be told that it will be ready in 3 to 4 hours and they haven't got to it yet.

I do feel very sorry for the pharmacists at this location-clearly understaffed and over worked-however from a customer stand point, prescriptions aren't being filled after ample time and the wait times to pick up prescriptions are over 30 minutes and the pharamist said that's the norm. The pharamist we spoke with looked visibly tired with red eyes and it is understandable why their communication came across very rude, short, and unwilling to help.
Definitely would recommend others to go to a different pharmacy as this one is experiencing difficulties. Wishing them all the best though in this tough time.

This is a nice big store with more products than some other, smaller London drugs. However, after the initial greeting NOT answering the phone I other departments seems ro be some kind of game. I asked for computers and after letting it ring over 40 times I had to call back. One of the items I asked about was not I that section so he passed me off to another department. I let the phone ring 15 times before I hung up. I only called because I was looking for very specific items. I really didn't appreciate the game of "hot potato" with the phone. I understand Representatives from a department may be busy, but just not answering the phone instead of asking me to hold is totally unprofessional. I called I the early afternoon on a Saturday.a time I KNOW there is lots of staff. It's not rocket science, if you hear a phone ringing in your department pick it up instead of hoping somebody else will answer it.

I have bought many electronic devices at London Drugs over the years and have always been happy with their service but today they went above and beyond. After only 5 months a printer I purchased from them developed problems and I was having difficulties obtaining help from the manufacturer. Ron went to bat for me and spoke to his manager who then authorized a full-price credit toward another printer of my choice. This is why I choose to buy locally rather than the convenience of Amazon.

This pharmacy is the best I've been to. They always get my prescription finished as quickly as they can. Keith is my favourite pharmacist. He is always so friendly, helpful, and gives wonderful suggestions. He also always takes the time to share information about medication and the ailments I have with me. I really feel like he goes above and beyond and that is truly wonderful in these times when it's so difficult to get a doctor's appointment and go to the pharmacy. Thank you for always making my visits easy and enjoyable.

I was using this store to get my medications delivered to my address and I had no problems with it, but lately they rarely ever answer their phone, I’ve called many times to renew presciptions and have their phone ring quite a number times and then have the call get disconnected, and then I call right back again and have the same thing happen, this is extremely annoying having to call the pharmacy dept.many times trying to get prescriptions renewed only to have their phone ring many times and no one picks-up the phone, that is extremley bad customer service, any way I had my prescriptions transferred to diffrerent london drugs location.

Till now in my experience, it has the worst customer service. I went to take a passport photo and waited for 30-40 minutes but no one came to attend me rather the person I asked for assistance told me that he is helping a customer and can’t help before completing the transaction with her. There was another elderly customer waiting with me who asked to take to the management. The lady came from management was very rude in talking too. Won’t ever recommend this store of London drugs to anyone. Later I went to the other branch of London drugs and solved my purpose in minutes for which I wasted 30 minutes earlier.

The pharmacy here is the only pharmacy I have ever had issues with. There always seems to be issues with insurance billing that no other phramacy has issues with. Zero ability to present viable solutions that are customer focused. Having recurs t phone calls after medication pickup for a check in is not needed.

The very worst in customer service I’ve ever experienced, I’m suprised, either pharmacy staff and pharmacists just aren’t communicating with each other due to being overworked, or they’re just incompetent. After two days of 6+calls, having my calls dropped while on hold, being told that my prescriptions were ready on three separate occasions only for this to be untrue when trying to pick up. I understand there are other issues at place but I was really surprised at how badly my needs were handled. I ended up going back to my old pharmacy (even tho it’s further away now), which had my prescription issues sorted out and ready for pickup in two hours. I really hope this
LD pharmacy gets the increased support it needs to function properly.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the staff at this location for doing such a great job during this pandemic. We appreciate your hard work. The staff in electronics is very helpful & So knowledgeable! I was able to purchase exactly what I was looking for and thanks to Ricky’s friendly and knowledgeable service I’m now able to do my zoom meetings from my new phone! I was even able to get the accessories I wanted to go with it right there too. Thanks for adding all the safety measures and making me feel safe to do all my shopping in your store.

Great selection on all of the COVID-19 necessities. Was able to purchase disposable masks, cloth masks, large hand sanitizer and face shields for all my staff at our salon. I shopped around first and I appreciate the fact that you’ve opened up room for the small businesses to have some shelf space, and the prices were so reasonable in comparison to other stores really upping the prices on these items. We appreciated the upgrades your store has done to help us feel covid safe when shopping there. We waited in line to get in last weekend and really appreciated you not loading the store. We’d much rather wait in a line and have a safe shopping experience. Your newer electronics staff has exceptional customer service skills and he really helped me see the pros and cons of the phones and plans. We will be back once our contract ends. Wish we could remember his name! The staff in cosmetics was also very helpful with my wife looking for a new fragrance. The only thing I’d add to my comment is we were wondering why the staff that aren’t behind the shields aren’t wearing the cloth masks or the shields? They clearly respect social distancing but we saw customers invading your employees “bubbles” and it just seems like it would be beneficial in making them safe from that type of situation. We’ll let our other small business friends know about the shields & masks you have at great prices. Thanks again

Person was rude and dismissive, asked if I had checked the website, then proceeded to put me on hold without saying anything further. I hung up. Service in this department sucks, obviously understaffed, taking my business elsewhere.

Today was my first time out in “the new normal” I came to your LD because I know I can pick up everything I need all in one place & the parking here is great. I don’t normally review but wanted to say thank you I couldn’t believe all of the changes in the store to keep customers & employees safe because of the COVID-19. I came in to pick up a few grocery items found everything I was looking for plus a new coffee pot and more. Most all the staff at this location are nice & friendly, and after being isolated at home so long it felt great to be greeted. I wasn’t shopping for a new phone today but after a chat in electronics Ricky set me up on a great new plan and I got a new phone. I’ll be sending my family members to see him in the coming weeks.

We were in picking up a few groceries and Stopped into the camera department looking for prices on upgrading my camera. The staff was really helpful and had so much knowledge. Ricky was excellent, he really knows his stuff. He took the time to show me a couple great options & explained the differences. We got some wonderful photos of the birds at our feeders this weekend. We were even able to Put them on instagram direct from the camera thanks to him giving us a quick "how to" I'm really happy with my purchase. I reguarly listen to C-fax tech talk & had Recently got some cell phone advice from Ricky on air. I'd highly recommend this store.

The precautions taken by London Drugs are highly appreciated in this period. They designated 1 hour in the morning for seniors and 1 hour at the end of the day for healthcare workers. I highly recommend shopping at this store.

Pharmacy- NEVER EVER talk/engage or get your medicines from Keith, (pharmacy manager). I went to get an emergency supply for my prescription, cause everyone knows what the doctor wait times are here and Keith actually had the audacity to recommend that I skip my doses until I actually saw a doctor, knowing very well, that the kind of medication i was taking is serious enough that skipping even a day would have serious repercussions. Every doctor has recommended that I NEVER skip or decrease a dose without prior consultation, yet this PHARMACIST insisted I skip my dose. I politely refused and asked him to give me a 1-2 day supply until i could see a doctor and get a prescription and asked him if it would cost me anything. His reply? "It will cost someone! " He insinuated that other people would pay for my emergency supply of 1 day even if my insurance covered it, claiming that I don't pay for my insurance or my taxes. He also insinuated that I don't have my own insurance and that my insurance was actually my spouses even though the insurance card clearly had my name on it. I have been to this location many times, and have generally had a pleasant experience, but this Pharmacist's offhand comments about my life, and his recommendation that I skip my medicine because someone else would pay for it, has made me think twice about ever going to this location again. I'll make sure to tell all my friends to avoid Keith the pharmacist at all costs.

This is a fantastic London Drugs location. Lots of products available, ranging from candy and food products, to cameras and smart devices. Anything you could really need is here! Store is well laid out and is kept clean and tidy. Its proximity to SilverCity makes it a great place to get snacks to bring to the theatre, at a much cheaper price than what is offered at the theatre!

Have had mixed shopping experiences at this location. Some of the staff are very nice but there are a few who probably need further communication and customer relations training esp.the lady at customer service-very opinionated. Also a dismissive guy in the computer dept. This store is busy and the cashiers can have line-ups. When they open up a new lane most of the time they just take whoever gets there first not who is next in another line. This has happened to me more than once and get really annoyed and even if i say something it doesn't matter. I live closer to this store but will go to the Colwood location as it's so much better.

A store with everything you need! From groceries to medicine to electronics. Staff is also very friendly. They also have recycling boxes for of plastic, styrofoam, electronics, and much more. A great initiate to encourage recycling. The store was very organized and the self-checkout was easy to use.

Recently took my 2015 MacBook Pro in for a new battery installation. The first time I've had to deal with an issue like this. I organized the appointment using Apple's booking system which was relatively painless. The morning of the appointment I arrived and the lady at the computer department counter greeted me by name. Nice. I explained the details of the issue and she introduced me to Josh who provided the cost and time estimate for repair and once I agreed to proceed he efficiently processed the paperwork and collected payment. At one point I was asked for my user account ID (apparently required to complete a full diagnostic test). I was not comfortable providing this as it is also an admin account and would expose my keychain to anyone with the password. Josh suggested an alternative I was comfortable with (in person login). Three days later I received a phone call that the repair was completed and visited the store to pick up the laptop. I did not have to provide my login information as apparently all necessary tests were completed prior to my arrival. Great. Best of all my laptop looked like it had visited the spa, it was glisteningly clean! Awesome. I left in such a good mood I bought a Sodastream on the way out!:) Seriously though, nice job folks keep it up.

I have bought my electronics at LD for years because of their outstanding service however I will need to shop elsewhere in the future. Just bought a laptop, knew exactly what I wanted so no sales pitch needed. After a few days at home I noticed a crack into the screen. It was hard to see and I don't think that I did it. I had barely used it and didn't drop or bang it. They said it was my fault however and sent it away for repair. They said two weeks to get it back. It has now been more than two weeks and they "hope" it comes in this week. That's it. Brand new laptop that I used for a couple of hours that I have been without for a couple of weeks. Might as well go to Bestbuy if this is what I can expect in the future.
UPDATE: 1 day short of 4 weeks and still no computer. I was told when I dropped it of that it would be 2 weeks, not 21 days. Still waiting. Additionally I'm still not convinced it was my fault.
UPDATE: after an extended wait LD did the right thing. It was, in the end, what I expect from LD and what I have relied on for many years.

This business is a complete joke. It should not take 45 minutes to drop off a prescription, nor should it take 20 minutes to be told your appointment for a vaccine injection was cancelled (but, of course, not in that language-in the language of "doesn't really need to be today" and "well if it reeeallly needs to be today I'm sorry but it will be at least a couple hours" because a staff member was injured "over the weekend" and nobody bothered to call. I get that these things happen and am not an unreasonable person. I would have been perfectly happy if someone had taken two minutes to call me and tell me this was going on so I should not bother coming in. I did not appreciate the tone I was being talked to in. After this painfully long and condescending interaction I told the employee that this had been a massive inconvenience since I had postponed travel for this appointment and would not be able to "just wait a couple hours, " that they should really call the other people who had allotments that day. The response was something along the lines of "yes, well we may consider doing that if we have some time in our incredibly busy schedule. " Just ridiculous. Save yourself literal hours of your time and go anywhere else.

I went in preparing to buy an e reader and was completely ignored by staff. I approached one of the workers who stated he’d be with me in a few minute but proceeded to help other shoppers after his initial customer.
The other worker talked with his customer about nothing regarding the product. I tried to get his attention & waited at least 15 min but finally left!
It feels awful when your ignored, especially when one knows what they want but can’t get staff to help you out.
I think I’ll now just stick with BestBuy!
Don’t both with London Drugs electronics, it’s impossible

Been to the store today, until now, (15 years of shopping there) I never had trouble, something happened, I was poiting things to an employee, she said we are trying to go green, I said in a jokingly way yep and the check is in the mail, the way she asked what does it mean was an aggressive way, she did not look too happy, I said to her did not like a bit the way she talked I said get away from me, she became aggressive almost combatant she was raising her voice so much people started to look in my direction, she followed me telling me I, m ban from the store, when she told Jennifer not to process my order I got upset and told her your just a fat little thing of courtse was not right from me but she pushed it too much she too the wrong approach, talk to Justin, Joshua Binda Jennifer they will tell you that I, m am a greta customers who never said anything wrong before, I, m disapoited that I got ban so quikly

I have always been happy with the staff at this store, they are always friendly and helpful so I enjoy shopping there. Yesterday when I was in the store I asked for something that had been advertised in their little Christmas catalogue because I couldn't find it in the store. An employee named Jenn really went the extra mile to find what we were looking for. After searching in the store and not being able to find it, she went into the back to see if perhaps the product had arrived but was not yet unpacked. She and some other employees that work in the back spent about 15 minutes looking until they were able to find what we had come into the store for. We live in Sooke so Jenn saved us from having to make another trip to the store looking for this item. Thanks Jenn for your excellent service, we really appreciated it and if your store has an employee of the month award you should get it as far as we are concerned!
