A store manager named Erik recently made our day. Canada Post uses LD as a package pick-up location. We had a large package with a chair in it purchased from amazon and delivered to LD by Canada Post. Erik was immediately aware that we would have difficulty moving the box to our SUV and grabbed a cart and his raincoat and brought it out for us…. Above and beyond! Thank you, Erik, and congratulations LD for your outstanding staff.

This store has a pretty good selection of all types of items. Beauty. Pharmacy. Food items some clothing including scrubs. Seasonal section some hardware and electronics.
Bus passes are sold there and there is a Royal bank ATM.
Not enough cashiers (although to be fair they are hard to find)
The service has always been pleasant.

Excellent store with excellent staff. I buy most of my stereo equipment here. Bought a new cd player and they matched the Best Buy price with no problems. Jake M.was super efficient and knowledgeable. I love that there are no self checkouts like Shoppers has. Our favourite store to browse on boring late nights.

Have been shopping here since my move from Europe and I’ve never had a bad experience. I have purchased a lot of camera gear and have been talked too like a human the have honoured prices and even price matched for me. Can’t say the same for the shop downtown. My experiences were vastly different between the two stores and I would drive the extra 20 minutes just to never deal with the downtown staff again.

I used to love dealing with London Drugs in Duncan, then when I moved to Nanaimo, the wheels fell off. I can never get prescriptions dealt with in a proper manner. They always claim they don't receive them, which results in multiple calls back to physicians, who ensure me it was faxed multiple times. When I pressure LD to search harder, they are usually found sitting in their computer in the 'Fax" folder.completely ignored and unprocessed. This is usually a long drawn out back-and-forth effort over week to two weeks after they were faxed. Beyond annoying. I get that they may be struggling with staffing issues, but be transparent about it, otherwise it reflects really poorly on business ethics. I've taken my business elsewhere as a result.

Their electronics department is absolutely awful. A unit (expensive turntable) I had bought from them was brought back to them for repair and the subsequent work by their supplier broke even more things due to their ineptness. Poor communication ensued with the Nanaimo North store and the only offer they could make was to send it back to the same inept place for further ‘repair’. A request for a loan unit was declined by the store and it’s been well over 6 months without a working unit.

There’s a sense of everyone just passing the buck there and no one with any authority to make a decision.

Okay this place blew me away needed a camera bracket they had all sorts of gear better than Best Buy. Electronics section was killer. Food and munchies off the charts! Not knowing what to expect it was epic! Clean store, attentive staff and tons of them to help you.

Pharmacy staff are the most careless and inconsiderate and incompetent staff I’ve ever met. If you need a pharmacy advise stay away from the staff at this location.

Never dissatisfied with the tech team, especially with Nathan, head of the tech department I believe. I gave him so much to do and he made it possible in a very good amount of time for what had to be done. He made deals happen and I am very satisfied with my experience.

Its around 2 am and I'm trying to figure out what's been bothering me.
After having been in the road service industry for 40 years, I've discovered that the employees attitude usually reflects managements demeanor. I didn't ask for my parcel to be shipped to London Drugs Canada Post parcel pick up but I can tell you that it will never happen again. The guy who gave me my postal parcel today must have thought that I was the person responsible for COVID and the instigator of the Russian attack on the Ukraine and responsible for the heinous situation in the residential schools. IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB, GET THE HELL OUT AND GET YOUR LIFE ON A BETTER PATH. Life is too short to carry the burden I saw being carried today. There is no more a caring statement than I can make.

Tech manager Alexe made me uncomfortable with the way he speaks to his staff and other customers. He tries to ‘multitask’ but just comes off as rude and confused. It was awkward that he was talking down to the other manager and another staff member. Kept talking over me and his staff. Very unprofessional and the sale took a lot longer than it should have

I've always been a loyal customer of London Drugs, but my husband and I recently received awful customer service at the pharmacy here. My husband and I came in because he was fulfilling a prescription to support his mental health and well-being. It has always been a confusing process because it involves special authority. But the pharmacist assistant who helped us was incredibly rude. I came in to try and help navigate the benefits aspect and she curtly told us we should have done this before filling the prescription. She was short, and unkind. She was mad when we did not have the specific cards for Pacific Blue Cross and Sunlife, despite the fact that we had all necessary information on the app. In the end, she failed to submit it to Sunlife, which led us to believe the $191 wasn't covered. When I double checked with Sunlife, they covered it 100%. I was horrified. My husband thought it was just him, but I honestly had never been spoken to so rudely in a pharmacy setting. Needless to say, we will be switching pharmacies. It was also horribly shocking since my husband was there for mental health support, and she did not seem to care one bit about either of us.

This pharmacy is a joke. Between the rude people "looking for the prescription" and lacking supply of most medicine I encourage people to go anywhere else.

Absolutely terrible service at your pharmacy. Rude and unprofessional.

I was rudely given a get out of here finger gesture by the employee at the prescription pickup counter when trying to get my prescription. First time in my life to ever experience this at a store.

I have been to London Drugs in many cities and have been a loyal customer for years. Never had a problem. Always professional and courteous.

Please correct this problem with your customer service staff. Until then, I will take my business elsewhere.

The customer service refused to fill my order even though I had already paid and they had the stock in storey they then cancelled my order and the two customer service workers and supervisor were rude and closed off and shut me down with short rude comments then just walked away.
The refund takes 3-5 business days to redeposit into account so I was without 900$ for that time. I went back later to pay cash and was again dismissed by multiple staff, I requested the store display model and they continued to just not seem interested in helping me or accommodating my request. I was very disappointed in the service at this location, and will likely not come back to this location.

I had a terrible experience at this store. Sales associate were not approachable at all. Not friendly. Customer service is poor.

However, I love their items. I love the wine I bought here. I had a good deal for 7.99 dollars.

Needed to upgrade my ancient Acer tablet to something newer and had an excellent experience at this store. The associate, Nathan B, provided the best customer service I have ever had. He was very knowledgeable and was patient with my questions; without the crazy sales pressure I have experienced during other electronic purchases elsewhere. Thanks, Nathan. Excellent job. 5 stars

Spencer G was extremely helpful and informative when it came to advice about a mirrorless camera. I appreciated his willingness to answer questions and friendly disposition which put a novice camera user at ease. Today, I went into London at the northtown center location, and the lady who is working the front where folks line, up pretty much followed me around the store, like I was going to steal something, mind you I've work at this mall in another store for over a year, she totally followed me, she only stop when she realized I knew she was following me i work retail so I know what she was doing was not ok in any means and she continued to make me feel uncomfortable until finished paying

Great staff and I'm a fan of London Drugs generally.

The thing with this location is that it takes forever to get anything done. Unreasonable wait times for pretty much anything. Don't believe me? Try calling the store and see how long it takes to have someone answer the phone.

Tremendously poor service. Had to wait over a half an hour each place I went. Want to buy electronics one guy helping one person nobody offered to help. Tried to buy a mouthwash nobody knew where it was took a long time to find. The fat guy By the checkout counters slowed everybody down and that would’ve taken half an hour as well.

No respect for the customer know inquiry as to whether we needed help. Please shop elsewhere.

I was at this location many times and all staff is extremely helpful and polite! Everyone is knowledgeable and patient with any questions you may have, if they don't know they will find out and at least face you in right direction where you can find product you are looking for.
Dan G manager was amazing and extremely helpful with making sure i found everything i wanted and provided advice along the way.

Not only did they help me to get a mobility scooter charging spot just inside of the mall entrance where I can enter into their store. Where i am welcome to shop. They have even cleared some of the isles making it easier for me to get around and shop.

I got my newborn photo taken yesterday and I was supposed to receive a digital print in my email so i could send today to get his visa and I never received it so i called them four times today and every time they hung up on me Finally got through but ill i got from them sorry nothin i can do i wasnt working so u have to come in again.great now i gotta take time off from work to bring my son to get pic taken again and we were suppos to fly out on Thursday now might guess wont be happening now.

Haven't got a negative thing to say about this London Drugs location! I am always able to find what I am looking for quickly, and check-out quickly too. There are a wide variety of products, and the store is organized well. In addition, there is lots of good, free parking available outside the store.

Good place over all. Too bad they dont price match like best buy. If asking to return electronics, try to deal with employees. Their just easier to work with. *Both name brand headphones I got here weren't working correctly. Just accepted in store credit sadly.

I had an issue with my laptop battery and fan (not bought from LD originally). I brought in the computer with replacement parts I got online, and Chad provided awesome service. He was very informative, made the repair quickly and gave me some good info. Price was good too. It's a really well run computer repair shop and I would definitely come back if I have any more problems.

I took my MacBook Pro and iPhone in to get fixed and the guys there were so friendly, so fast, didn't talk down to me while explaining what was wrong and it was totally a reasonable price! I will for sure be giving them my business in the future. My iPhone is all back to normal and my MacBook Pro is running like brand new! I’d been to two other places where the people were rude until someone suggested the computer department at London’s drugs. So happy I took that advice.

Superior Service to Best Buy

After having a terrible customer service experience to do with Macbooks at Best Buy Nanaimo, I went to London Drugs North Nanaimo and found the staff far more helpful, reasonable, and empathetic; thank you for the help Spencer and Chad!

Went in there with my elderly parents who are disabled after visiting their doctor downtown! Waited an hour, was told at pick up insurance didnt pay and we would need to change and they would fax the doctor. Two days later i was still waiting. Next time they are going to central drugs or wallace pharmacy downtown!

Lefty the store empty handed again. This time I was just looking for micro SD cards. While in the camera section, I was wandering aimlessly while 2 associates gabbed like teenage girls 8 feet away with nothing to do. I wasn't helped till a supervisor came by and gestured in the general direction of where I could find 4 columns of cards on a waist-high shelf in the photo development center.
I found 2 choices for micro SD cards: the over-priced store brand, and the new expensive models made for recording high-quality 4k video on a phone, nearly all without price tags. I just wanted some extra storage. I also wasn't about to pay the insane prices for the normal micro SD cards; which they avoid price-matched by labeling as a brand unique to their store.
I then helped myself to a computer beside the repair department to try and find decent prices or alternatives. After 5 minutes of searching, while alone in the department, I was asked if I needed help.by an associate that was a little over the length of a full display shelf away. He asked if I needed help, and as I looked up from the computer, he continued by saying "or are you just fine browsing? " while backing away, clearly trying to avoid possible work. I let him go as I am not looking for help from someone trying to get out of helping customers.
In the end I left empty-handed again. An expensive store with -bottom of the barrel- customer service, hidden shelf prices, and a horrible selection. It's hard to believe anyone shops there outside of the elderly I'll often find wandering around a store they still remember.

It's not the first time that the sane person at the till has noticed that I'm standing in line; and I'm the only person in line, and refuses to acknowledge the fact that I'm there because she's busy looking down at something. This has to be one of the rudest things a business can do because thankfully there are other pharmacies that have friendly and aware employees. If the owner allows this behaviour than they won't care about this post and they really don't care about you. If this was a "one off", then I'd let it slide but it more like the fourth time. Love London drugs but the pharmacy needs to learn what customer service is.
