Avoid this location at all costs. I have been to this location several times with various requests and always find their staff condescending and rude for no reason.

If I am at the Surrey location and they tell me Langley and other stores have the stock I would rather drive 45 minutes to terminal ave (Vancouver) location versus dealing with the staff here. This includes their management team more so than some of their front line but I assume their front line is learning from their supervisors!

They were very nice and easy to work with but we rented some speakers and microphones for our outdoor wedding and they were broken. Our speaker kept cutting out every 5 minutes during our speeches and ceremony which dampened the experience. They should make sure their products work before renting them out.

The guys at L&M Langley, the Fender Distributor, and Fender themselves are a class act and took care of me in a very professional way. In short, a replacement instrument was needed because the original (new less than 2 months from purchase date) had a flaw that was irreparable. It only took two weeks to replace from manufacturer and straight to the store for me to pick up.

THEY HAVE SECURED ME AS A CUSTOMER FOR THE LONG TERM!

From the management, your technician, all the floor staff, distributor, and Fender.you guys rock!

I went to ask if they have a violin box so I can ship my violin. Staffs are so friendly and helpful. One of the staffs went above and beyond to help me with the box ️. It was a great experience to visit the store. I have seen how the staff are taking the time to explain their instruments to the customers. It was amazing.

Really nice, knowledgeable, and helpful staff! They made great recommendations and took the time to explain in a way we could understand. They even helped us carry everything to the car. Will definitely be back!

Just wanted to take the time to thank Tris from the sales team in Langley for his patience and knowledgeable service. My daughter is new to the world of electric guitar and Tris took the time to not only educate us but also cater to our specific needs. Thank you to Tris for fueling a new guitarists excitement about getting into the world of guitar.

Always buy stuff from here never Tom Lee dunno why just like the staff better here they've always taken care of me bought 3 Guitars a couple drum kits and rented gear always worked out perfectly. Ask for help of you need it and they will deliver

I don’t normally post reviews but I wanted to share my experience. Last night, I took in a saxophone to be looked at after I had phoned and was told they would look at it to give an estimate of repair.
It was a gong show right from the start after I got there. ‘Wait outside and we will come get you. ’ I understand - due to COVID - no problems. I’m waiting outside and 3 families just walk in and are helped. I finally went in and I was asked if I was helped. ‘No I was told to wait outside’. ‘I’m not sure why you were told to wait outside’. Okay. I’m now in the store and I say I have a sax to be looked at. Sure - go up that ramp into the band room and he will look at it. I go there and the man was busy and says anyone in the store can help you with that. Uh no - I was told to see you. Okay then. He says he will send it out for repair. I say i was told that someone would look at it for an estimate. ‘We don’t do that. We send it out and we will call you if the repair is over $150’. I said I had called earlier to ask and was told to bring it in to be looked at. He agrees to look at the sax and basically takes 3 seconds and says major repairs are needed. Well over $300. I say thanks and I leave with my sax. I head enroute to another music store and am delighted with superior service and a cost of $150 TOTAL for the repairs. Being a first time customer in a music shop I wanted to share my experience as I do see that this store has wonderful reviews. They just might want to treat all customers with that great customer service. Maybe it was a one off but I won’t ever go back.

Great store. I went in to try a stingray bass, the guy who helped me was very friendly and let me try several of their most expensive basses. I secretly was going to buy a specific collector's edition stingray 5 (there were only 85 made) from an online store and I just wanted to try one out before buying it; I was positive that Long and McQuade wouldn't be able to find me the same one, but I asked if they could and they just so happened to have 1 in a different province for several hundred dollars cheaper than the one I was going to buy, so I ordered it on the spot and saved about $700 in total. All because I took the time to go into the store and ask, rather than buying online!

Absolutely fantastic student program with easy pay solutions to let your child start their musical journey. We have been dealing with the Langley location for over three years now and have always been amazed at how friendly everyone is and how easy they make to want to play an instrument! This is one happy mom!

Just got into music production and went here to pick up a new midi keyboard. The employee who helped me out was super helpful and helped me choose the one that fit my needs. Didn't try to upsell me to a more expensive keyboard and got me in and out in about 15 minutes. Great experience.

I would really like to thank Mike McDermid for everything he did to find a specific guitar for me. He is definitely the best person I have ever dealt with, He truly went above and beyond for me. Long and McQuade are lucky to have him. I would give his store 5 stars every time. He, and the staff at the Langley store, are the best team to deal with. Definitely my favourite music store is Langley Long and McQuade.

Things have been crazy getting use to the new normal, I placed a big order through there online ordering option but ran in to some shipping delays due to covid. I sent them a email and got a response right away, after emailing back and forth the rep called my local store and explained everything to them. I got a call from the store, the associate (I'm sorry I can't remember his name) was great he gave me great advice and is transfering in a few items for me! Amazing company! The website is super easy to use and I love all the ways you can narrow down your search. I will shop here from now on (I use to be a tomlee shopper) I have been converted! Thanks for the amazing experience you guys rock!

Bought some speakers. There was an issue with what I was charged compared to the label. The Manager of the Langley store contacted me about the issue and resolved it pretty quickly. I was more than happy with the ending outcome.

Fantastic service and selection. This place has a top notch team. So supportive and helpful. My son is an avid guitarist at age 12. He bought an awesome used guitar here and the team treated him so well.

Great store for music geeks. Do NOT go there if you are short for time. Tonnes of selection at decent prices. I don't know much about music and just shop for my kids, and I have always had a lot of great help from the staff. Guitars, drums, turntables, etc. All good stuff!

Extremely disappointed in their customer service! Had to take my guitar in for repairs TWICE as the tech missed an issue - and they tried to pin the blame on me as to why they didn't catch it. They took longer than the estimated time that was given to me and NEVER called me to update/ apologize. Every time I had to call THEM and the last time I did, I was told they were 'busy with other clients and would call me back' this was at 1pm on a Tuesday. And I never got a call back. That same day I went in personally and asked what was going on. They couldn't find the tech, nor could they tell me where the repairs were at, and after taking one glance at the guitar I could tell it hadn't been touched in the week+ it was there (and I was told it would take 2-3 days max). I took the guitar back and got Steve Finley to repair it and he was done within 24 hours and for cheaper! And fixed a problem I paid L&McQ to fix! He even called them to talk to them as well and got told the same 'busy with other clients' phrase and never got a a call back either. I've gone to L&McQ for years for strings etc.and they just lost a loyal customer. Beyond frustrated.

I had a great experience with the rental team and customer service, when the B string on my rental SG pro snapped i was just able to exchange it for a new guitar, and when they forgot the tremolo bar i got an email from Chris at the guitar counter he just grabbed one and put my name on it, and i was able to come pick it up a hour later and with guitar picks at 50 cents a piece there is no need to haggle thanks ever sense i got my first bass guitar from this store in 2017 i have not gone to any other music store, Thanks to all of the Long & Mcquade team at the langley store.

Never made it to a lesson actually! What hit me, is their customer service! I had been waiting for months to get into lessons for my kids and finally i got the call and was registered. As a parent, we all know the amount of work involved in preparing your kids, let alone preparing twins mentally for the fact that they are starting a new thing as well as the fact that because they loved it, they were super excited and thrilled to go for lessons. As we were driving and pulling into the parking lot to our lesson which we had registered in around 4 days before, I get a call from the school saying that, your registration was a mistake and the instructor actually has another student at the same time? ! So if my registration is a mistake, why didn't you call me before? Why did you wait 10 minutes before our class to let us know? Her answer (the receptionist or something like this), instead of saying sorry we apologize, she said, oh the school just opened and I just looked at the schedule? So the instructor never looked at her schedule before? The registration team never informed the instructor about new students coming in? So we lost a whole day of doing nothing on a weekend because we had a mid-day lesson, so we had to cancel few things to accommodate which was fine if they had been to the lessons, but we just get called within 30 mis of the lesson? It just shows the care level! Not only that, they were rude! I am sure if a parent calls to cancel a lesson because of an emergency or something, they would have charged for the lesson anyways! So as my kids are in the car I had to turn back and go home! Explaining to two toddlers that these people don't really care! I waited for someone to call and apologize! Nothing for couple of weeks or so, then I got a call from them trying to register me in another class! Really? You think I would come after you made my children cry? I don't think so! I had to share my experience so people know what to expect! It was heart breaking and dreading trying to explain whats happening to my two 4 year olds!
