Dr Cichon’s been amazing with my anxious girl. He takes his time and really checks his patients out. His approach of medical and holistic is a very nice change. I recommend him to anyone i know.

Our beautiful Beagle was at her worst time of her life with stomach problems! I had taken her to the emergency hospital on Capilano road because she was bleeding inside. We thought it was the end. They helped me to correct the diet just enough to save her but I had no long term solution. I remembered that many years ago the veterinary clinic just off Lonsdale was supposed to be very much top level and brilliant with dogs and cats. So after the short solution with the Capilano emergency pet hospital I proceeded to find out more about a solution to save our Beagle and I'm so glad I explored Dr. Pawel Cichon's experience and knowledge on what I should do about saving our beautiful Beagle. (Sadie) So I followed the Doctors directions on diet and that made a wonderful difference. 100% I really would not go to any other Doctor ever again for our wonderful healthy Beagle! We are truly indebted to this team and will not hesitate to refer clients to this clinic. We have a young standard poodle who was badly cut on a pack walk, from a broken beer bottle left on the forest floor. We have been blessed with a benevolent outcome due to the exceptional care he was given.

5 stars for Dr Chicon and his staff. I brought my cat in with kidney failure. Dr Chicon put her on blood presure medication and lent me a blood pressure machine to track her blood pressure till we had her stable. Nadya taught me how to do subcutaneous fluids so I can do them at home. I really appreciate the team work that happened with the treatment of my cat. She wasnt only treated, I was taught how to care for her condition and what to look out for. As a result shes back to her playful self again. Thank you for everything its much appreciated.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cichon. Over the course of my late dog's almost 17 years of life, we had seen quite a few number of vets, and no other provided the same level of care and professionalism as Dr. Cichon did. He and his staff are super reliable. I've never once had to follow up with them about something they promised to do or get back to me about. Once I make the call, I can trust that it'll be done.

Even more importantly, Dr. Cichon is very experienced and knowledgeable. He cares deeply about the furry patients he works with and it's easy to tell. It is for this reason that when a family cat was given a terminal illness diagnosis elsewhere, I knew we couldn't make a decision on euthanasia until I consulted with him first. Speaking with him gave us the confidence to go forward with what we felt was the right thing to do. That's how much I trust his opinion. He even followed up with us several times even though he wasn't the primary vet for our cat's 13 years of life.

Although I don't have any other pets at this time, if I ever get anymore, I will for sure be going back to Lonsdale again. And of course, I never hesitate to recommend other pet parents to see Dr. Cichon - his dedication and care is unmatched.

Dr. Cichon has been our vet for 16 years and we cannot recommend him more. Two years ago, our dog Fousek was diagnosed with degenerative mitral and tricuspid valve disease. Given this diagnosis, we feared our dogs life expectancy would be shortened as we know this disease worsens over time. Dr. Cichon prescribed him with medication that has kept his condition under control, and referred us to a cardiac specialist whom he keeps in touch with to understand our dog's condition. Our dog is now 16 and is in good health and his condition has stabilised. We truly appreciate Dr. Cichon's holistic and traditional medicine approach. He has never pressured us into expensive treatments and always listens to our concerns. His staff are also professional and compassionate. We are truly grateful for such a helpful and caring team for our dog.

I was referred to Dr Paul Cichon a couple years ago and I’m so Thankful for this referral. Dr Cichon is very caring, attentive and respectful to my needs as a pet owner. It’s not about the money with their office. There is something about the European knowledge that he holds, I find is above and beyond any other veterinary I have experienced. The fact that he and his staff, Nadya, who understand homeopathic methods as well as western medicine, has given me great confidence and amazing results. This will be 3 years now, that Dr Cichon cared so deeply for my twin Yorkie Brothers, Rokko and Koko. With natural aging, Koko passed away last year at 15.5yrs old and Rokko 16.5yrs old, is in his “geriatric puppy” phase, due to the proper guidance, diet and supplements provided by Lonsdale Pet Hospital! I highly recommend and happy to provide a reference of my experience.

Ive only met Dr. Cihon once. Once was enough to tell me that he really cares for your pet. He's not in it for the $$ as some are. Highly recommended.

The kindest, most patient, thorough veterinarian! And not out to rack up a big bill with unnecessary tests or treatments.

I have a pug puppy and he has had multiple health issues (he is only 5 months old) since got him. Every time i went to different vets around my area to get help, they didn't offer me much advice and lazily put my dog on antibiotics right away. My dog is 5 months old and he has been on antibiotics twice already! When he recently got kennel cough, I was worried we would have to do it again. Then came Paul! We were recommended to Paul through a friend and after seeing 3 different vets and it felt like i found my saviour.

Paul gave me diet advice, and provided me with insight into strengthening my dogs immune system. Instead of putting my puppy (who was very stuffed up) on antibiotics, we figured out a system to make him healthier and he has rebounded within 3 days.

A week after i visited Lonsdale Veterinary Hospital, Paul called me to follow up and make sure my dog was doing ok and offered additional advice. I cannot believe how much better he is than the other 3 vets that i visited in the Kitsilano area. This clinic is a bit of a drive for me from Kits but it is worth the drive every time.

I took my elderly kitty Mia to this clinic for the last year of her life. I appreciated the use of both holistic therapies and conventional medicine and that I was generally not pressured into more invasive medical care and diagnostics than I wanted. The staff are professional and responsive and I felt she was in good hands there, right to the end.

Went in to get my budgies wing checked and the doctor was rushing the whole process even though there was no one waiting. I understand if they have other work to do but I spent $90 for a 2 minute session to have him tell me there's nothing he can do. I tried to ask more questions but he was all ready to get up and leave. Not fun. Not cool. Unfortunately it was the only place that can look at my bird at the time but not worth it.

Dr Cichon is knowledgeable and always considers the best interests of our dogs when he recommends a treatment plan. The dogs adore him. In fact, several have owed their lives to his effective treatment methods. We appreciate the research he does to ensure that he is up-to-date when suggesting approaches to unusual ailments. We are very aware that, without Dr. Cichon's excellent care, several of our beloved pets would have lived much shorter and less comfortable lives.

I cannot imagine taking our pets elsewhere!

We’ve had Dr. Cichon as our vet for our 3 dogs and 2 cats for years now, and have been very happy. He’s well-balanced with his methods, with focus on natural diet and methods first wherever possible. He is caring and passionate about his work, and doesn’t miss anything. He’s thorough and would rather explore something suspicious further, but also doesn’t push things on the client. He simply gives options and recommendations based on his knowledge and experience, and wanting the best care for each animal. Something else that we appreciate about him that many vets don’t do is his passion for the most current treatments, and his willingness and openness to research new things we ask him about.
He also introduced us to the food sensitivity test from Dr. Dodds, which is the only reliable test on the market. Our Bassett hound is very sensitive to both food and environmental allergens, and this food test and being able to communicate with Dr. Dodds have been instrumental in helping her.
One last word about Paulina, his assistant, who is the friendliest and most capable vet assistant we know.
