It works in a pinch, the last 3 times I’ve been in ive received the wrong item
first I got given the wrong fuel filter for my vehicle which was a mess
Then I got given the wrong battery for my car, not a huge deal but a pain to return because I didn’t want to trim my battery tray
This time I was handed a penetrating lube/undercoating when I asked for primer. Didn’t look right but I trusted they knew their stuff, ended up with an oily mess on the bare metal I was trying to prep for painting.
If you don’t have an account you will be charged an arm and a leg

Try Napa just across the highway if you don’t want to deal with their pretentious attitudes and constant mistakes, I’ve had better luck there

Rudest, most unhelpful crew going. Don’t bother going in if you need assistance - either know your stuff or don’t bother. Staff are not considered ‘customer service related’. Off to Victoria we go.

I was asked for my Union card for account I have been a member of for 13 years and I do not carry that on hand. So then I told the attendant that I work for another company as well he said to produce the ID again like I was at work or something. Then proceeded to tell me "is the 50 cents worth it? " I guess so cause I went to Canadian tire and got the air filter cheaper then using my account at Lordco.

In my experience, Lordco is virtually a 1 stop shop. There range of merchandize is encyclopedic. However, there is a price caveat.

If you are a pro vehicle person, or a consistent customer, you will undoubtedly have an account. When you come to pay, your Lordco account will discount the bottom line, nicely - and quite rightly so.

However, if (as I was) you are in a pinch, and you want for example, a particular tool urgently - you will not walk out of there, a happy bunny (again, as I was.)

I don't wish to be rude - Lordco have a lot to offer. But thinking back to what I had to pay, still makes me shudder. If you can get an account, then do so well ahead of your planned purchase. Getting an account will reduce the sticker shock, and you'll be nearer to a win/win purchase.

The shear incompetence is astounding.

From claiming that a 106” serpentine belt is the same as a 40” belt, to giving me the wrong brake lights not to mention it took 30 minutes in the store for that.

But what really takes the cake is when I left I saw a parts person drop spark plugs, out of the box, and was instructed “just take a quick look, if you can’t see cracks they’re fine, just put them back”

I will never go there again. Ever.

Big inventory, great staff. They are very helpful efficient. If they don't have the part I need (and they almost alwats do) they get it in the next day.

Long lines at the tills. No prices on half the engine oil selection. Didn't even have an oil filter for a vw jetta. I suggest going to napa.

Some staff are friendly and helpful, while some are miserable, and seem like they've lost interest in providing a welcoming service. I've even driven to the Langford location, just to avoid the ignorance.

Friendly helpful staff and a good selection of parts. If they don’t have it, it’s often in hand tomorrow.

Pro tip: If your jeep doesn’t start and doesn’t communicate with the scanner, unplug the crank sensor. They often pull down the 5v reference making it look like a dead PCM when it’s really not.

Very friendly and professional staff. However being charged 107$ for a part that cost 45$ for on Amazon is way to high for my liking. I understand business need to make money but at the end i have to pay rent.

Great! Friendly knowledgeable staff that go the extra mile in helping you find what you need, and get the parts you need in a timely manner.
Update: been 3 years since I posted this, have unfortunately been ordering parts more online as it has been cheaper.
That said, i didn't use my account very much (or better have kept it up to date and paid the account more often) my account was closed and have lost the good pricing that came with it. Please keep any account you have in good standing, don't let it lapse by not paying anything owing to them by more than 2 months because the pricing is a better deal with an account. This does not mean you have purchase something every month, just keep it updated. I will be downgrading my 5 star to a 4 because I was not informed that the account would be closed, it was a surprise to me.

We are boaters, but these people can find you just about anything.
We were in drydock for 3weeks in Sidney and found everything from metal paints to engine parts and batteries with the help of these men and women in Sidney.

No it's not a Christian book store, but god darn it if you don't find what you are looking for, it's not real and you should stop lying! Lying is a sin, and therefore let me recommend you a church!

Well organized and laid out. Non-intimidating assistance. Able to help hearing impaired, a big bonus!

I try to avoid Lordco when I can, as I find their prices are consistently higher than anybody else in town if you don't have an account. If you have an account, your mileage may vary. That said, I do go here when I'm in a pinch as they're local to me. I've found the staff friendly and consistently helpful. They have a pretty good selection of parts in store.

It's a much better store since they renovated. It used to be much smaller and now there's a nice big showroom.

I shop here on occasion when I'm in a pinch for car parts. I try to avoid lordo co when I can, but they do have a good selection.

-staff can be unhelpful and arrogant at times.
-prices are high if you don't have an account. I've found prices are higher than most retail prices around town
-often times i get charged more than the shelf price.when i bring it up they that prices change and the shelf price inst always accurate.when i go in weeks later the shelf price is still the same.

-I've had cashiers apologise to me for certain counter persons rude behaviour.

I always leave this particular store feeling ripped off

Was a little busy when I arrived, so I had to wait a bit, but the staff were friendly and helpful.
