Delicious food, great service and good mocktails!
We got the four cheese and sea food with garlic bread everything so so good

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time so I got the prawn carbonara. I got delivery which I’ll admit is probably my biggest mistake as I’m sure some of the problems would have been different sitting down to eat, but the pasta was super soupy. I’ve never had such soup carbonara. The flavour was good though but because it was so soupy the pancetta was really soggy. I guess I also was expecting more than 3 shrimp. And the pasta was just LOADED with onions which were a bit overwhelming. The flavour was definitely there and the noodles themselves were great! And maybe the experience would have been better if I sat down to eat or if I just simply ordered something else.

Had a waitress that was a little pushy we didn't even finish our drinks before she brought the bill and waited for us to pay immediately, our food was good though.

Another success at Lot 1 Pasta Bar. Clean, professional, attentive servers, clean bathroom, tasty food. Our server this time was Autumn or Awesome Autumn as we now know her. Consistency is the key with Lot 1, we know were are going to be looked after and have tasty dining experience.

Honestly a great restaurant to eat Italian economically, Service was incredible, In my opinion the food was perfect. Astounded by the quality at their price point. Menu was designed well aesthetics of interior seating and bar area complement the dining atmosphere. Five stars, enjoyed the Spaghetti and meatballs. Also noticed the dining room was kid friendly so bring the family.

I would say it was o.k, Server was very nice and attentive if inexperienced (hey you gotta learn sometime), atmosphere was again o.k, pasta dishes were a little disappointing, there was nothing that we tried that we could've made ourselves, a properly trained chef experienced in italian/ pasta cuisine would definitely help. Wine list was very limited with almost no Canadian wines. I would try it again but maybe let them work out a few of the issues first.

Great experience for gluten free pasta! They're super knowledgeable and even have GF polenta sticks as an appy.

Great for a date night.

Fridays are "takeout" days at home. Something nice and easy after a long work week. Last Friday we were craving pasta. Didn't know where to go, and found this place online and remembered driving by it, so why not?

I ordered the spaghetti and wagyu meatballs, my parter the pesto seafood tagliatelle, as well as the breadsticks and suppli.

The breadsticks were sadly the best thing on the order. The suppli was "mushed" under the sauce container, over-salted and overall "meh". The spaghetti was in principal alright. The pasta was however overdone and the sauce crimnally under seasoned. I wonder if they simply forgot the salt? Or perhaps they routinely serve carehome residents?

All meh.but not the reason why I am bothering with this review: enter the tagliatelle! The pasta was "gluey", the shrimp rubbery, the dish was smothered in cheese to the point of wondering if they were trying to drown the dish. And then there were the mussels.which, were done well.until the last one where my spouse took a bite, gulped it down and froze with a sour look on her face. When I paused and asked what was up? She looked at me and said that she just swallowed something that tasted and smelled like "old person diaper pee". Shocked. I smelled the shell and gagged. Yup, old pee!

We looked it up and apparently that is the telltale sign of a bad mussel. Worried she'd get sick (thankfully she ended up being ok!) I called the restaurant to let them know about the seafood (nothing else.and why will explain itself momentarily).

A girl answered, I let her know about the mussel, and maybe to alert the kitchen.the response was, and I am not joking "Oh? I am sorry, I will let them know. " Followed by awkward silence. I was not asking for a refund or anything.but, maybe a "oh, please let us know if she gets sick.or. SOMETHING that resembles a shred of customer service or empathy". After an awkard 10-20 seconds I just said "ok then? " To which she said, "ok, have a good night! " And hung up.

My spouse and I just stared at one another in silent shock for a bit.

Guess this place was a simple one and done for us. Chef Boyardee might just be a better option for the pasta craving next time.

We went here once in the summer and had a lovely time, unfortunately that was not the case when we visited last month. Pasta was really uncooked and I’m not usually one to complain but we could barely eat it lol. We tried to enjoy our time and have a few drinks but our server would space them out very few and far between. It almost seemed intentional. The server even passed a judgemental comment as we were paying, asking if we had a ride home which I never had happen before. I took serving it right and you are only supposed to check that when people appear intoxicated. Note that one of my friends did not drink and ordered a coffee while we were there and the others only had 2 or 3 drinks in the span of almost 3 hours because of how slow service was, so it would have been impossible for that to be the case. It came across as quite intentional and judgemental which was a cherry on top for how that evening went. It was super uncomfortable, expensive, and slow, and we’re definitely not returning.

Delicious food and cocktails, fairly priced as well. Great portions and many take out boxes seen in the restaurant! We enjoyed every appy and entree ordered, would definitely recommend.

While visiting Victoria, read a few reviews of Lot 1. Decided to try it. Everyone in our party of six loved the place. It sits in a strip mall and perhaps lacks the atmosphere of a more established Italian restaurant, but it makes up for it in both the quality and quantity of the meals. Great service and happy hour cocktails, too. Don't miss it!

The food quality and quantity was amazing. One of the best pasta dish I’ve had in awhile. Thank you for the delicious vegan pasta dish your staff suggested! Simply amazing.

Really tasty and well portioned food. The complimentary fried polenta starter was great for us to have a taste and that enabled us to ordered the pork belly appetizer to share along with the salad. The pasta was al dente and very flavorful without being overly heavy. The kids portion was generous as well! The premises were very clean and modern with full dividers between booths to have easier conversations. Staff were friendly and attentive as well. This is a great option in Victoria.

Came here for happy hour - good deals on drinks and food. Complimentary polenta bites were delicious! Service was also excellent.

Had the carpaccio as a starter, very well balanced flavors and a great size for sharing.

We all ordered separate pastas, portion sizes were great for leftovers and again the flavours were great.

Came here for lunch at first look its nice and open. When we got seated it took a while for our server to get to us even tho there was like 2 people in the whole place. Then the drink wait was longer then it should have been. The food took 45 minutes if not longer to get. Then we watched our server wipe her nose and pick it then not washing her hands deal with other people then touch our food and bring it out. Honestly the service from our server was just unprofessional lacking responsibilities for her tables etc.she was more concerned about talking with her staff then taking care of her tables. After coming here for my first time it sure is the last time that I come here. This was not worth my money for sure honestly should have just left.

Just had lunch there. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and my wife the beef carpaccio. Both were wonderful. The service was great. Definitely going back. Happy hour prices all day Sunday.

The best spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had in my life! Also tried their pesto pasta and the honey haze cocktail. Every single item I had today had its own distinct flavour and uniqueness. It was just so savoury and eye widening as you taste the different spices in each bite. I give the place 4.7/5 as I am a hard critic but this place stood out! Thanks for the wonderful meal! (*¯︶¯*).

Have wonderful experiences everytime I visit Lot 1. Food is good and drinks "slap, " but what's really won me over is how much the staff seem to get along. Never have I seen a restaurant with such high morale, very infectious and will return again!

The six of us had a great time here! Despite a full restaurant, or meals came out in a reasonable time and all were delicious with plenty to take home. Complimentary fried polenta was a nice touch as well as our drinks. Great service overall and special thanks to Ignacio for taking care of us!

I ordered an almost-perfect tiramisu the other night. Coming from an Italian bloodline of cooks who have made exquisite delicacies and continue to do so (thank you, mom), I hold tiramisu to a very high standard.

The tiramisu made with mascarpone was creamy and fluffy. I however, have some constructive feedback if you are willing to hear them. If so, please do reach out - if not, kindly ignore this request.

The Moroccan chicken pasta was nice and flavorful, but please pack dessert separately next time so it doesn’t melt into a sweet misery ️

Nice place, the staff was friendly and professional. Spaghetti noodles were cooked perfect and good quality ingredients all around.

The food, layout and service was excellent. Tori was my server and she was great. I’ll be back.

This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants ever. We were treated to complimentary parmesan polenta bites that came with a delicious mairnara sauce. The beef carpacio totally blew my away. I couldn't stop eating it. The pastas were perfect. Great portions for very fair prices and packed so much flavour. The dessert, cranberry lemon mousse packed so so much flavour and was unique. Something you don't see everyday! I also got a 0 proof drink and it was so delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere is warm and inviting and service is prompt and professional. This really was just a perfect dining experience for myself and my sweetheart and we will definitely be back again.

Three of us ordered from the "dine-around" menu. Generous portions, tasty and great service. An enjoyable evening.

Seems overrated, appetizers are super mid, 4 cheese rigatoni is literally just Mac and cheese with mushrooms.

Terrible. We decided on this place for dinner with a couple friends to get some pasta and appy's as are backup plan since are original spot was closed tonight. Everything was bad from the beginning. As a person who is in the industry myself (9+ years), i know the standards. We were sat down and didn't get acknowledged from a server for at least 15min. The place was not busy. We ordered a few appetizers to share between the 4 of us, half of it arrived stone cold after waiting 25 min, and the rest arrived about 10 min later. We had to flag down are server because weren't giving any cutlery or side plates to eat with. My partner and I knew what we wanted for our mains so we went ahead and ordered, but our friends needed a few more mins to decide, did not hear back from are server to ask again about the mains until our mains arrived. Our friends decided to pass on mains since the wait time was probably going to be just as long to get theirs. I ordered the seafood pasta and my partner got the four cheese rigatoni both were extremely bland. Server never asked us how our food was. Never offered a second round of drinks when they were empty, we had to flag down our server once again to get some service. Passed on dessert and went somewhere else. Will not be coming back.

Huge Portions, super-tasty bite after bite. Enough for lunch tomorrow too. My co-workers will be jealous, and I won't be sharing ;) We'll be back. Lots of other things to choose from next time!

Lots of gluten free options. Never had a reaction from cross contamination here. It is my favourite place to get take out. I order often!

We stopped in on a Sunday evening for supper and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the BAKED FOUR CHEESE & BACON RIGATONI with chicken, it was excellent. It was heated evenly and was just the right size. We were also comped the PARMESAN POLENTA BITES, they were something we were thinking about ordering so it was a nice surprise, and they were very yummy too. The service was excellent, we’ll be back!

I love when you find a restaurant you haven’t tried before! Great appetizers large enough to share, pasta choices and portions also excellent we brought lots home. Will definitely be back for happy hour where the drinks are appys were a great price.

I’m not able to review the food because we didn’t get any, but I was quite put off by the way we were treated last night. We wanted to order takeout, so we stopped in to order but we were told we would be waiting an hour for our food because they were so busy. Then they told us that if we sat at the bar and ate there that we would get our food much faster, because they have to prioritize in-house guests. Well then what were we? Were we not in-house guests waiting for takeout? Could they not have put our meals in the the same priority as in-house guests? We considered sitting at the bar, ordering, then asking for a box right away, but we decided to go somewhere that actually wanted our business and made our takeout meals in a reasonable amount of time. That was an absolutely horrible customer service move and I hope they will rethink that in the future. In-house guests are in-house guests, even if they want to sit and wait for takeout.

Incredible dining experience. Visiting from Alberta, my brother in law works in the back and recommended we stop in and try it. Young guy who seated us was very professional and personable (fancy name, can't remember it). Complimentary polenta and breadsticks, which were dangerously good. When time to order, we requested gluten free items, and we were then asked if that was because of allergy or preference. Never been asked that before, quite impressed. Food was hot and fresh, full of vibrant flavor. The drinks were well mixed, great combinations of local ingredients. All in all an amazing culinary experience. I highly recommend stopping in, even if you're local. Well worth it.

COVID-19 hits, I dropped into this place several times, and every time I was so satisfies with their great pasta dishes. Highly recommend to try here!

Really tasty pasta and a delicious sangria. And both were also beautiful to look at too, great presentation. Friendly staff. We couldn't believe it wasn't busier.

The food is mediocre at best. I wouldn’t have gone back after the first time, but my friend’s Birthday was being hosted there. Super slow service this time too. Another guest at our table had to send back her watered down alcoholic drink and watery pasta.

Love this place! Not just pasta and pizza - their sangria is amazing, apples are extremely tasty and their staff are super friendly.

Would not eat here again even if it was free. Ordered out and the food was bland. Ordered one of their pastas, requested cream sauce and extra parmesan but seems like they gave us less. Save your money and make better pasta at home!

Delicious pastas, great drinks, and awesome service! I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back when I can. Try and come for happy hour from 3 - 6pm.

Staff was very friendly, but kitchen managed to add bacon to a vegetarians meal who very clearly stated "No bacon, I'm a vegetarian"

I had the Fennel Sausage Tagliatelle. It was tremendous, wonderful flavour of the pasta sauce and sausage with the occasional burst of pickeled fennel. It is the Special for March, highly recommended.

The classic pasta dishes like carbonara and bolognese just don't taste like they're supposed to. Go with the other pasta dishes instead. The salads are OK and the breadsticks (though not made in-house) are great. Friendly service.

I don't like writing negative reviews, but we were very disappointed unfortunately. It was quite busy when we went, so the service was just average, as expected. Our food, (the bolognese and the fennel sausage special pasta) was very bland and tasteless. I won't be returning: (

The only time worth going is after 9 PM when their late night deal begins. Their pastas aren't worth paying full price, and there are few options even on the full menu. Flavors are odd, but not bad. I had heard good things about their Moroccan Chicken pasta, but to me it just seemed like it would have been better off as as rice dish.

I liked the design of the place, and the food was fine. It was a bit pricier than it deserves in my opinion.

My wife and I (both 33) decided to have an early dinner with our 1 year old. We dont get out much these days so it was going to be a treat. Granted it's BC liquor laws I guess - but when asked for id my wife didnt have her wallet and was only able to produce a digital copy of ID. She was subsequently denied a drink. Look, I get it. She should have had id. But we in no way do we look remotely close to 19 and it ruined our night and experience. That combined with the pasta quality seemingly worse each visit I'd have a hard time going back.

I had a salad that had dried apricots thrown on top and a "carbonara" that tasted like dry leftover noodles with hardly anything on it. My friend's dish was good though. I learned after that there was an after 9 deal that would probably make it more worth it.

Service is great but I believe the portion got smaller but the food is alway's great the dessert was even better

First time at Lot one, figured we would give it a try. The place is laid out well and looks nice.
Had the daily soup and it was good, also had shared the salad and it was nice.
The pasta on the other hand was terrible, we had the bolognese pasta and it was so tasteless I couldn't believe it. I figured a pasta restaurant could not possibly get it wrong. I wont be returning, Victoria has much better options for pasta save your money.
Also the service is incredibly slow, seems they where running shorthanded and this is during the week.

Had dinner there for my first time! Let me say the pasta was terrible. It tasted like canned sauce no flavour at all and the noodles in no way tasted fresh.not sure about that.

Also after only eating half our meal and leaving about 20 or so minutes later felt sick! Gut wrenching stomach ache and all the fun things that came with that.

Stay away from this place!

Changing my review; I've ordered take-out here often but things seem to have changed a bit - Kids menu clearly says "price includes one kid's beverage" but I was told this is only for eat-in and not take-out. I was told a manger would clarify and a second person told me the same thing. Poor customer service to lose a whole take-out order over a couple of juice boxes.

Overall a good place to eat. But the pasta itself was very underwhelming for my first and only visit. I found the taste of the pasta fairly bland. Although the portion size is great I found myself thinking I could have done better at home. My bolognese dish was pretty standard but I was really let down by the parmesan that accompanied the dish. Even though it probably was one of the better powdered parms it has a very cheap taste to it. Stars are for the location, parking atmosphere and portion size.

Great atmosphere, very nice modern decor and staff were all really nice. The food was great! Caesar salad had a nice kick to it and the chicken parmesan radiatori was amazing. I also tried the blueberry lemonade and I would go back just for one of those.

Yes we read all of the review here and Yelp to find a good Italian restaurant that was opened during Christmas Eve lunch.

It was pretty disappointing. Flat bread was thin and burnt! I was expecting the same texture as the Cactus club or Joey flatbread but it was more cracker like? It was edible for the nice flavour of garlic.

Pasta was bland as pointed out by others here.
The flavour seemed tasty only if there was more sauce with added salt.

The restaurant didn’t have that many people so burnt bread or under seasoned pasta should not be an excuse.

I have never had a bad meal here and the service staff are outstanding! This place is an example of how a restaurant should be run. I always enjoy coming here.

Not really impressed with this place! Being a weekend the place was average busy so we got our a table within minutes. Me and my Girlfriend both wanted to go for some drinks so we choose to go here. We ordered two cocktails and a ceaser from the drink and nothing tasted good at all.ceasers were just so bland and with no flavour at all. The other two cocktails were just iced water with basil leaf in it, Nothing else. We also ordered a dessert which was alright but so very less in quantity. The parmesan truffle frites were sooo dark felt like half of them were burnt or over cooked. Service was alright, just not great. Not sure If i will visit this place again.

Friendly staff - they were quick to greet and serve us. We went after 9pm and they had a late night deal you get 9$ pasta or flatbread with the purchase of the drink and also 5$ appys! What I like about the late night menu is that although it is a limited menu there are still a ton of options.

For an appetizer we ordered the polenta fries to share (between two people) they were wow probably the best non potato fry I’ve tried. So crispy and cheesy wowow they were served with a spicy tomato sauce which paired perfectly with the fry in my opinion.

For the pasta I was torn between the butternut squash cannelloni and the chicken pesto radiatori - I went with the chicken pesto diss and it was so good. Lots of sauce and meaty cheese and parm on top! 10/10 would recommend, although I will try the cannelloni next time I visit.

For a drink I had the vodka strawberry lemonade. It was made with vodka, a strawberry simple syrup, and lemon juice with little frozen strawberries floating around. It was perfectly tart and not too sweet, very easy to drink and you could probably have more than one.

So all in all it was a wonderful experience and very affordable late at night - definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
