What I want to bring to attention is the garbage alongside the store on Slocan street I am hoping management will consider community and keep it tidy for the kids that go to the high-school across the street, and church goers/ food shelter nearby that area. So much litter. Did 1.5hrs cleanup with my teen for their school and asked the manager to come out and see for the larger/hazerdous items I could not collect. He never came out as promised (I called at beginning of our cleanup). Here's a pic of what was there. A customer service guy said they do garbage collection-but I drive by often and always looks the same. Note I will remove this review if I see the extra debris removed sometimes this week.as the customer service guy said they would deal with it.

The worst place I have been to don't bother just go home depot and save your troubles! Their un educated employee sold me wrong product now need to rip my tiles off the floor and re do.hundreds of dollars to fix

Very bad experience as one of the lady store manage resorted to un-true claims and made-up excuses only trying to deny a reasonable return. Was planning to open a VIP Pro account but will never shop here now.

I made an order online with Lowes Vancouver. They with out notifying me cancelled my order and then held my money for 5 days without ever notifying me. They tried to tell me that it was because I didn't match my billing address, the same credit card and same address I've had for over 14 years since I moved to vancouver. Then basically went and told me good luck and wait for your money and then place another order. Worst customer service ever!

Drove an hour to get here paid in advance just to be told they don't have it. While in line to find that out another person was complaining how bad and unknowledgeable the staff was. Don't shop here.

Older guy at gardening center and older lady at cashier were exemplary. You could tell he was passionate about caring about the plants and knew his stuff and she was very kind and easygoing. Prices are okay, comparable to Walmart.wish there was a self price checker in the store somewhere.

Thought of buying some patio furniture. There was this set on sale for $549. Only one problem, none in stock, like anywhere locally. No rain cheque, no pre-order, no ordering from out of province; just have to sit and wait.

So you have something on display, but you can't have it since there is no stock. So I can't get a notification or even reserve it because even though I am interested in it, and can pay for it now, I'm SOL.

The worst run store I've ever seen. Apparently the only person capable of cutting lengths of wire was on a one hour lunch break. Waited over 20 minutes after asking for help and never got the wire I needed

Made a purchase online. Got the email to book a pickup time. I booked my pickup time and, when I got there they said my order was on the top shelf in the store room and it would take 20 to 30 min to get my order. WAS NOT IMPRESSED considering my time was booked and confirmed 2 days before. Ended up taking 50 minutes to get my order. Even the supervisor was useless and offered no compensation whatsoever

In hindsight: Wow! Great customer service in their kitchen appliance department.
Patient, knowledgable, quick to identify their own mistakes themselves and apologize and rectify the situation immediately.
My only constructive comment would be as indicated on your website: please say hello to your customers when you make eye contact with them.

Terrible. I waited 45 minutes only to be sent away empty handed and prepaid for something they had in stock and was supposed to be shelved within 2 days.

I went back a week later and it took another 25 minutes to find out recovering still hadn't unpacked as shelved it.

I won't be going to this location again.

Came to the garden centre for potting soil. Found what we were looking for right away. Also came away with an impulse purchase jalapeno pepper plant. Nice garden centre. Would definitely come again.

Have not been to the store personally, but I called their phone line to inquire if they had a 3 by 4 table that was foldable and adjustable. 10 minutes until someone picked up the phone to transfer me to another department, waited another 10 minutes just for someone to pick up the phone and hang up on me immediately. Poor phone service.

I would just like to tell you how disappointing an experience at the Vancouver - Grandview location was this past Saturday. Earlier in May my wife and I wanted to buy an outdoor patio table that was on sale. The sales person said there was no stock at the moment but we could get a raincheck as stock will be arriving in a couple of weeks time. We gladly said "Alright". She then asked us to pay for it in advance to secure it. I said "That is not a raincheck, it's a lay-away! " Sales person says nothing. This was our first 'red flag'. Reluctantly, we paid with our Visa card willing to wait for the shipment to arrive which we were told we'd receive a call when it's ready for pickup. A month goes by and we receive a call this past Saturday telling us that stock had been discontinued. The wife and I go to the store the same day to consider our options. It turns out that nothing else appealed to us for a replacement so we opted to get our Visa reimbursed and thought "Surely they will give us a small credit or gift certificate in good faith for the inconvenience and the month's worth of interest that Visa had charged us. "
But after the sales person spoke with the manager regarding this, the manager refused to give us anything extra for our trouble! He didn't even want to speak to us!

So all we got was our Visa reimbursed, and we are stuck with the accumulated interest and a disappointing service let-down. All because of one manager's decision to be greedy instead of generous.

I know there are home renovation department stores that would have handled our situation much differently in order to satisfy us as customers in this case.
With that said, what reason do we have to ever trust buying anything again from Lowe's Canada?

So want to like this store as it is close to home. Horribly managed, and no technical staff. Every time I go in they out of stock on something. Spend 20 minutes trying to find someone that knows what they are talking about…. Give up and drive 20 mins to HD. Slowly transitioning to other stores because I’m tired of wasting my time. Especially in plumbing.

This store is modern, clean and well stocked. I went in looking for a specific item I needed, and I found it now problem at all. Great location, wide selection, and fair prices, very good.

I used to love this store when it was Rona. I try to never shop at the big box foreign owned stores, but sometimes I’ve had to go lately, and Lowe’s always disappoints. Three products were substantially more than other stores and they refused to do a price match. The service is abysmal. It took three line ups and 20 mins to check out.

Lots of staff but there's one person half qualified to run a fork lift here. It's always 45 mins extra to get anything done here. 12 lawnmowers in stock last month a month later because the pallet is up on the top shelf and no one is qualified to bring them down. No one wants to wait for them to figure out how they got up there and how to get them down.

Very polite and helpful staff, store was clean and organised. Floor staff guided me and were knowledgable about my needed items. Checkout staff were fast and efficient!

Really not sure why you would shop here unless they have a sale. Everything is double the price of other hardware stores. Just go to Home Depot save yourself a bunch of time and money.

My wife and I were there and we saw a bbq that was reduced from $600 to 329 as it was the last one and it was the display model.
I only popped in for some wire and there were closing in 15 minutes.
So I bought it right then and there.
The reason I’m writing this review.
Is because of a staff member by the name Jacob B.
I only went there in my 94 geo metro.
How Jacob and I managed to gem most of that bbq in the hatch and make it secure.
Beats me.
But we did it and it was secure.
I see folks complain about lack of staff.
But managing staff at these stores is very difficult.
I would shop here again.
And thank you Jacob.
Please show this to your team leader.

I usually don't write a review unless it's very bad/good.

I placed an order online for a stove as the one at home broke. I was supposed to be contacted regarding the delivery time 1 week after. 1 week passed and no one contacted me by phone or email. I called in to only find out that my order was cancelled because it was "out of stock" which is BS because it was indeed in stock when i purchased it. They told me that someone could've bought it in store when I placed it, but this was a special delivery item so there's no way. I didn't even get a cancellation email/phone.

I asked if they can expedite my delivery if I placed another order through them because I've been waiting for 1 week without a stove already! To me, I don't think it's something too hard to ask for especially if they're the ones who screwed up. They said they can't do anything regarding this, unless they have it in store. Well, if you have the stove in store, I can just pick it up myself! Most of their bigger items are online, and requires special delivery so It's impossible to find one in store.

1. They did not notify me by phone as promised
2. They did not email me a cancellation note
3. They cannot compensate me with anything
4. They cannot expedite my delivery IF I place another order through them, even if i'm the one giving them a second chance
5. I waited for 20 minutes trying to get a hold of the supervisor

Worst customer service i've received. I should've just stuck with Home Depot or Trails. Most likely will never buy from Lowe's again.

Poor customer service in person and on phone. You are lucky if any staff will pick up their store phone, and if you actually get someone to pick they will immediately transfer your line quickly where it's.surprise surprise hang up. They do a great job perpetuating the incompetent retail employee stereotype.

I ordered a washer with Lowe's online and their communication is by far the worst I have ever experienced. First I got an email saying they received my order and another confirmation email will be sent. I waited for weeks no confirmation email. So I asked my assistant to call customer service and they at first couldn't locate my order. Finally they did and they said it was missed but will order it right away. The expected delivery date was a month from that. Than a month gone by no confirmation or phone call. So I asked my assistant to call again because at this point I noticed my credit card have been charged. When she called the found my home store and the store said they never got the order. So now they have to order it again and set a delivery date of June 20. The day before they called and told me I need to disconnect the washer first which they never told me before. So I said I don't know how to and ask them to send someone. The dispatch said no problem someone will call me the next day. No phone calls. Than they call the following Monday and said that they have tried to deliver on Sunday but nobody was home. That was a total LIE. We were home and there was no delivery. In addition to that it was rescheduled for Tuesday so why would they try to deliver on Sunday? Once again I told them they were suppose to send someone to disconnect for us. And this time the dispatch said they don't do disconnection. It was just never ending bad communication. Finally we disconnected and delivery happen today. We were told it will be between 9-11am and a phone call 30mins before arrive. XPO logistics (3rd psrty delivery) phone me at 7: 30am and told me they will arrive at 8am. That's an hour earlier than expected. So that is crazy already, nobody is even awake yet in our house. So after I agree they can come, I pjonp them back and specifically told them DO NOT RING THE DOORBELL. Next thing you know they arrive at 7: 50am and rang the doorbell. My husband was just livid and gave them an earful. So now they bring in the new washer and this time they say they cannot connect the new washer with the old hose. I was suppose to buy a new one. Again, nobody informed us of that. All in all after 2 months of this process, I'm beyond disappointed. I will never shop online with Lowe's again. And I will write a negative review for XPO the delivery service as well.

Good selection but lack of knowledgeable staff. Was told by five separate staff members that store did not carry Gila Window film until I found that ONE GUY who actually knew his store and it's stock and could tell me exactly where to find the product. Suggest a "location training" for front end staff, as I don't know is not a helpful answer. Or at least a book they can look up aisle location in.

We bought a Samsung washer WF45K6200AZ/A2 and also a dryer 13 months ago from LOWE'S in New Westminster BC. No matter I select tap cold/cold/warm/hot water temperature, the washer only fills pure hot water since day one for last 13 months! We haven't realized this issue until recently the washer stopped spinning. Only knew that every time done laundry clothes were hot and we always select cold water to wash. I thought that was new technology from Samsung. Never doubt that was installation wrong! We thought we paid for expensive machines and professional installation and everything should have been taken care of!
There are obviously two problems. 1, LOWES installed the machines on day one when delivered to our house and they had done the wrong water hose installation caused machine only fills pure hot water. We wasted a lot of money to pay bills and damages of the washer. Phoned the New Westminster store manager. He simply said its over warranty and hung up the phone when I was still on the phone and had questions to ask.
2, Samsung digital display dashboard should have an error code alert by the time the machine fills only pure hot water when you select cold or tap cold water temperature. Otherwise, we wouldn't wait until machine got problem to realize that was installation problem.
Over all, we paid for the expensive fancy Samsung machines at a big brand store LOWES but ended with this horrible experience! And none of them to take the responsibility! Sadly, we bought another set of washer&Dryer few months ago from Lowes for our cottage. Won't shop anything from Lowes anymore for sure!

The store manager Jane is really helpful, very willing to help answer my queston and provide the solution I need for buying LED bulds while none of the staffs can help me. Great that I can have her help, otherwise I will not buy from there.

Bought a pretty table on line from Lowe's. Too bad that when upon opening I discovered that it was very damaged on the front area. I immediately contacted them and emailed photos of damage. They sent me a case number saying that they would get back to me shortly. I've spent HOURS on hold on the phone, no one answers my email since the first one, and every time I try to initiate a chat conversation via their website I'm told that no one is available to chat. I'll now have to drive 40 mins to the nearest store to take back this large, bulky item. What a waste of my time and money. (and they have had my $600 plus dollars since the moment I ordered this item!)

Staff has little to no experience with the products they sell. If you can find someone to help you. I mostly got confused looks to basic questions about paint choices and lighting. There is one older guy working electrical whose actually spent time on the tools, he was very helpful.

Perhaps it's the store I frequent but I find them very helpful. Sure, you have to be patient at times depending on the time of the day you go and the type of help you require but that's like any home improvement store these days. I have realistic expectations when it comes to being served by individuals who don't make much in jobs that most people don't want. When someone exceeds those expectations, it's a bonus. I'm definitely moving my business from the Home Depot (Henning) to Lowe's (Grandview) even though it's farther.

It was a busy sunny Sunday and there were zero cashier's present. Big lineup at the self checkout. There was a big heavy vertically opening door in front of the bird seed I came to get. No one around to help, I had to deal with it myself despite fear of said heavy door falling on me while getting the product off the shelf.
Continued decline of the quality of my experience at this store since it got bought by Lowe's.

Most of the staff seem to be either confused or annoyed when asked for advice. Some don’t even look at you.
Others are helpful and nice but most of my experience is on the opposite side of the scale.
