Lucky Horse Chinese Restaurant

Have eaten herre in the past, and usually happy. Tried ordering tonight for delivery, menu says free delivery over 30.00 and a surcharge if less than that. They refused to deliver because order was less than 30.00. I would have gladly paid the surcharge their menu mentions, which would have brought the order up to about the 30.00, but they did not give that option.

Lucky Horse is my go-to for chinese food! I actually moved out of Surrey a few years ago and my partner and I still find ourselves driving out to pick up take out from here when we crave chinese food, because it’s our absolute favourite! Service is always friendly and the “dinner for one” combos are a good deal and super yum. My #1 is their breaded almond chicken!

Ordered $63.85 in food before tip to the driver. Our order:
1. Honey garlic chicken balls
2. Sweet & sour deep fried prawns
3. Dinner for 1 (A) on menu
4. BBQ pork
5. Spring rolls

The Honey garlic chicken balls, sweet & sour deep fried prawns and spring rolls would have tasted better if I personally deep fried them in my old engine oil from my truck.

The prawns weren't delivered with any "Sweet & Sour" sauce.plain dry & the spring rolls were dark from being over-fried. I always look forward to next day leftovers but the only thing that's going to benefit from the leftovers is my organic recycling bin.

Called to let them know that we have had great food from them before but this time was really bad and they said they would offer a $15 discount on out next order and that it was because they were very busy. What kind of excuse is that? They are too busy to put out quality food you or I are paying premium price? ! Good luck staying in business with a quality control and customer satisfaction program like that.

My go to Chinese food, portions seem smaller, but I get that with the economy

Absolutely awful food. It really takes a bad experience for me to write a negative review. I actually brushed my teeth right after eating to try to get rid of the taste.

It's on my husband's way home from work so we tried takeout. There's a discount for pickup. We enjoyed most of it. I don't think I will be ordering chicken balls again. They were too doughy and it tasted old

I ordered takeout and my husband picked it up. There was a 10% reduction for pickup. The food was delicious.

I ordered woe wonton large. The chicken tasted rotten.
I also had sting rolls and the batter was dark brown from old oil they deep fried in
I also had spicy squid.

Terrible service and dry as all hell, tasted like a microwave meal you would get at Walmart for a dollar. Don’t waste your money this place is honestly terrible.

Very accommodating staff always smiling.my friend eats here almost every day and has a special order not on menu that is delicious to accommodate his diet.

Am disappointed we are long standing customers 13+ years and now you won't deliver 15km, you said before you'd deliver to Langley? We live is surrey Fraser hts. I get the cost of gas but food price increase compensates for that I'm sure. We will miss the excellent wonton and other food. And we always tip the drivers. Sadly disappointed.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. But alas I'm stuck giving them a 1 star (insert sad face here). Awful service and the food is absolutely disgusting. This is now the second time I've given this restaurant a chance and I 100% regret my decision, shame on me.

They messed up my order for the last time. I ordered one single box of sweet and sour pork and one single box of almond chicken. And what do they do? They bring me 1 combo box with chow Mein and rice with only 4 pieces of almond chicken and one other combo box with chicken chow mein and rice with only a little bit of sweet and sour pork. And they charged me extra as well. I highly recommend to anyone not to eat or order from these rude people. They obviously like screwing up orders and charging extra. If I could, I’d give them minus 10 stars.

Does anybody remember one lidos Chinese food, use to be in surrey now it's a Sherwin Williams paint shop.i use to gontonthat Chinese place all the time was the best chinese but I guess rent got to high or whatever miss that place

Gross disgusting reheated food! Spoiled food! Not worth feeding your dog's! Do yourself a huge favor! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE instead take a trip to superstore, buy the ingredients and make yourselves a tasty home cooked DIY Chinese meal! LUCKY HORSE CHINESE RESTAURANT IS DISGUSTING! I would like to give them 0 star if I can. I order fried chicken noodles. And they served not fully cooked. You can see in the picture …. Clearly uncooked noodles. When I called to complain and the girl was there didn’t seem to care. I told her I will leave a bad review, but she don’t care.
So please don’t waste your money and time in this restaurant. Place was dirty too. The WORST Chinese food I have ever had.

Took just under 2 hours for delivery. Food arrived cold. Complained to the restaurant they didn’t care just said we were busy not our problem. Wouldn’t order again.

By far the best Canadian style Chinese food available in Surrey today. I moved across town recently and tried a couple of the local places and the food was awful. Thankfully Ubereats will deliver to my new address, check them out.

Friendly and fast service! I was able to place an order 10 minutes before closing and my food was ready. Hot and delicious! Would definitely come back again!

I would give 0 stars but that's not an option. Most tasteless food I've ever had. Then when we brought the food back they would not refund the money or make a fresh order. Don't eat there!

Best place for Chinese food. Their sweet-and-sour pork is not our favourite there, but everything else is 100%.

SO VERY, disappointed. The Chinese food here was the worst my husband and I have ever tasted, we will never be ordering TAKE OUT from this place ever again. The quality of ALL the food was so cheap and very GREASY, it left us feeling just LOUSY.and the price was a big rip off for the amount of food we got.

The absolute WORST Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life. We ordered on skip the dishes. The broccoli was stinky and slimy, the sweet and sour pork smelled terrible and had no flavor. The dumplings were extremely soggy and burnt. I will NEVER EVER order from there again. Also, I had some of the chow mein and I feel sick to my stomach.

Love the dinner for one combos. The breaded almond chicken is really good and not greasy like some places. They also use actual crushed almonds and not peanuts. I always recommend Lucky Horse to anyone looking for Chinese food in the newton area.

Food was very uncooked and definitely not fresh whatsoever. However their staff is very nice and polite which saves them slightly but I don't think I will return.

One of the best Chinese food with fast deliveries and hot foods! I personally love the spareribs, sweet and garlic and fried rice with vegetables:) always fresh and quality foods.

OMG! They have changed. I have had it a few times within the last few months and it’s so darn fresh, and not oily at all. I think they have topped for the best chow main in Newton and many other delicious foods they have. My number one place in Newton for Chinese food!

So many items on the menu with very affordable prices. Location is hidden and was only brought here by chance when we were looking for a place to eat. Food are tasty and delicious. The washroom are well kept and clean even though it is old. Parking is spacious and free. Friendly and welcoming auntie serving you with a smile and very good dining service everytime. Will come again to try other dished.

The food is always good at this restaurant, and well-priced. The sweet and sour pork is a favourite, and would definitely recommend. The service provided is always great as well!

Let’s face it old rice and a mix of old beef some pieces of beef were good and others tasted bad probably cooked a few days before and left over
Sweet and sour pork was so dry and old
The vegetables were the only thing palatable

If you want food poisoning this is the place to go 10.50 wasted food money

Great atmosphere, clean and welcoming. Hands down the best ginger beef ever. It actually has chunks of ginger. Big fan

Okay seriously the service was fast. It was delivered in 1/2 and hour when they said an hour. Friendly Service. This is my go to chinese restuarant now when I need comfort food.

Good food but dilvery didn't bring what I ordered food used to be so good now sweet n sour sauce is watery deep fried prawns doughy

I've only been here 2 times. The 1st time a year ago their was a lot of food & it was terrible. I just went yesterday to see if anything had changed (it's close to me) the food was good but the portion was SO tiny especially for the price.

A person from Starbucks recommended this place. The first time I only got Won Ton soup and it was very good and very reasonable. Today I got my favorite Cashew Gai Ding. It was very good and got a large size container (I did take out). It made two meals for me. Highly recommended and the mom and son are very nice and helpful! PS. Also have good lunch specials.
