An honest shop with reasonable rates.
I paid for an inspection on a truck a friend gave me for a dollar because it needed a fair amount of work. Unlike at some shops I've been to, their office staff/service writers are very knowledgeable and willing to explain any issues with your vehicle.

I ended up doing the repairs myself because their backlog at the time was too long to wait for me to get my daily driver back, but I can honestly recommend them for any of your maintenance and repair needs. I currently take my vehicles to them for the things I'm not qualified or motivated enough to do, and the things requiring specialty tools I do not have.

I would like to give an excellent review of Lyall street service. I get most of my service done here (unless I can do myself), and have found them to be affordable and Extremely fair.
Recently I needed my battery replaced, and they booked an appointment for me on short notice. My car was unable to be driven (due to battery), and a friend said they could give me a ride to Canadian Tire to buy my own battery. My friend said i could install myself. So, I did that, however the nuts wouldn't tighten the clasps fully, so I went back to Canadian tire to see if they had the right little tool. Canadian tire wanted to charge $40 and they didn't even know what it needed exactly. I left. I went to Lyall and explained the predicament and their knowledgeable and pleasant secretary (who's also a mechanic) came out and helped me fix it in less than 5 mins. I will make sure to go to Lyall street service for all my car needs. Thanks again! I recommend them to friends and family and they all have had great experiences. 5 stars!

This repair shop is honest and fair. They were able to repair my car at the last minute as I had an unexpected problem. They got my car in the morning and repair was complete by the end of the day. Plus they washed the exterior of my vehicle and vacuumed inside too. Great service.

It's was inexpensive, and fast service. Easier than dealing with a dealership downtown somewhere.
